Have you ever been in a particularly difficult spot and found yourself wondering, “God where are you?” Well, I know one place he was on Friday, February 26. That was the last day for our deadline extension for the adoption of Nyamekye (left) and Mercy (right). And our God was in the office of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social
By noon of that day we had been made aware that the final documents required were sitting on the Minister’s desk awaiting her signature. The only problem was that she had left the building and our fear was that she would not return until Monday. But that was not the case, and for that we praise and thank the Lord. She returned to the office, and signed the papers around 4:00 that afternoon and a very gracious secretary made copies of the documents and delivered them to William at HOMe later
that afternoon, giving us just enough time to get them forwarded to the adoptive family and to the US State Department before the deadline You can’t imagine the joy and relief we felt, especially William who had been working on securing these document since September! And here, at the end of the last day, God parted our Red Sea. Thank You Jesus!
PLEASE PRAY WITH US: Praise God we got the final documents for Nyamekye’s and Mercy’s adoptions. Pray for additional sponsors for HOMe’s baby bed sponsorship program. Please pray for an additional set of house parents so we can offload some of William and Priscilla’s work load.

But with the additional responsibilities that William has assumed, this just can’t go on.
They have served faithfully as our house parents since we opened HOMe in 2010. And they have done so without any vacation or respite. In fact, I believe I can count their days off during all that time on one hand. And with all this the Dekus have never complained.
Will you pray with us as we look for an additional set of house parents who will be able to share the work load with the Dekus? We don’t want to burn this couple out. They have proven to be so valuable to this ministry and have become so dear to us as well.

We are currently fundraising for our children's home in Accra Ghana (HOMe). 100% of the money we raise for this campaign goes right to the kids in need who are currently at HOMe. These funds are used for basics like food, clean water, diapers, and all the other essentials needed to care for these precious little ones. Children such as these continue to come to HOMe so every bit you can do directly impacts their lives!
