YOUR PERFECT WEDDING
PLANNING
THE PERFECT WEDDING
From budgeting tips to unique entertainment ideas, create a celebration that reflects your love and personal style.
To stay organised and ensure no detail is overlooked, using a wedding planner book or journal is highly recommended. This invaluable tool helps you manage everything from seating plans and guest RSVPs to coordinating your bridal party’s attire. With a clear plan in place, you can focus on what truly matters: celebrating your love and the start of your married life together.
STICK TO YOUR BUDGET
Budgeting is one of the most important aspects of wedding planning. Many couples find themselves overspending, but this can be avoided by sticking to a detailed checklist. By managing your finances carefully, you can reduce stress and create a seamless celebration without missing any essential details.
EXPERT GUIDANCE FOR YOUR BIG DAY
Our goal is to help make your wedding day as perfect as possible. From finding the dream wedding dress to ensuring the groom looks his best, we’re here to offer inspiration and practical tips. We also provide guidance on everything from selecting the ideal venue and transportation to keeping up with the latest trends. With our help, your wedding will be distinctive, stylish, and truly memorable.
PERSONALISED CELEBRATIONS
Modern weddings are moving away from rigid traditions, focusing instead on celebrating the couple’s individuality. This trend has opened the door to unique and creative entertainment options, such as magicians, circus performers, and even dramatic fire shows. These additions help transform your wedding into an unforgettable experience for you and your guests.
MAKE IT A DAY TO REMEMBER
Your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event, designed to reflect your love story and personal style. With the support of your bridal party and our expert advice, you can plan a celebration that is both meaningful and extraordinary, leaving lasting memories for everyone involved.
Discover how to choose a wedding venue that reflects your style, fits your budget, and creates memories for a lifetime.
You can opt to use an Independent Celebrant which means that you can celebrate your marriage on a secluded beach or in that beautiful wildflower meadow. You must register your marriage and complete the legalities at your local Registry Office and then the rest is up to you. You are not limited by venue, ceremony or style. You are free to create your bespoke wedding and make it as unique as you want. In these circumstances, couples can ensure that their wedding is where, when and how they dreamed it would be.
The venue that you choose plays a big part in your wedding day and will affect many of the other details that will make your big day. It will depend on location, amount of guests and of course your budget. As a basic guide to booking and paying for the venue of your choice, it should be no more than half of your overall budget. Estimate the amount of people that you would be inviting to your wedding as most places have a minimum party size meaning that you may need a substantial amount of people to attend. For example, if you are hoping for a small and private wedding then a stately home or a castle is probably not the most realistic idea to go for.
The best way to choose the perfect venue is to roughly decide your number of guests and your budget and then choose a few favourite places between you. Shortlisting three or four venues that fit your style and write a list of pros and cons for each, not forgetting the travel for guests and the photographer.
Whether you are going for country and rustic then why not take a look at a local barn venue or talk to a company that hire out marquees for the grounds of a country house. When you are intending to get married in a church, you always have to remember that your guests will have to transfer to the wedding reception venue, why not hire a coach or arrange beforehand how the guests will travel from venue to venue.
Most venues tend to host fayres or open days to allow you to visit and look around, helping you to visualise your big day and hopefully set your mind on what you really want. When budgeting for a venue, it’s important to keep in mind that you may need to set aside a little extra for things you may want on the day. Ask your venue to give you a list or a breakdown of what is included in the price in order for you to see exactly what you will get for your money. Overspending can be worth it, especially when you are getting the wedding day of your dreams. It should be the best day of you and your partner’s life so getting it just right is worth a little extra spending.
An all-inclusive hotel or ballroom is the perfect backdrop for a classic fairy tale wedding. A traditional and big wedding benefits from a country house or estate or even a castle as the venue. These old places have bags of character and will ensure that the ornate details that you crave are included in your day. Always look for somewhere with plenty of landscapes such as a golf club or spa with sweeping views, where there are opportunities for stunning photographs to capture your wedding day.
SAYING ‘I DO’ IN CHURCH WEDDING
CHURCH
A church wedding is a beautiful blend of tradition and personal touches. From heartfelt vows to bespoke music and readings, it offers a meaningful way to celebrate your love in a truly special setting.
When planning a church wedding, part of the cost covers legal fees, alongside optional extras that personalise your ceremony within your budget. The basic legal fee includes the vicar, church, readings, certificates, lighting, and administration. This has ancient origins and ensures your church can maintain weddings and other essential services.
Beyond the basics, you can enhance your ceremony with extras like a choir, organist, bell-ringers, floral arrangements, or extra copies of your marriage certificate. Churches offer more than simply a venue for your wedding, so whether you are familiar with church or it is new to you, there will always be a personal and unique feel to your ceremony.
Your wedding should reflect you as a couple, and the church offers many ways to make it uniquely yours. From selecting hymns and music for your entrance and exit to choosing readings, poems, and special moments such as the ‘giving away’ part of
the service, your ceremony can be tailored to create a meaningful occasion.
For couples who have had a civil marriage, a church blessing is a wonderful way to reaffirm your commitment. Whether you married abroad or in the UK, a blessing allows you to celebrate with loved ones who may not have attended your original ceremony. This service can carry the same heartfelt atmosphere as a wedding, complete with hymns, readings, floral decorations, and the joyous sound of bells ringing.
At the heart of a church wedding are the vows—words spoken by countless couples over centuries, binding them in lifelong commitment. These sacred promises, which cannot be altered, stand as a testament to the love you share. As you exchange rings, you symbolise love without end, witnessed and celebrated by family, friends, and the church community.
A church wedding isn’t just about tradition—it’s about creating a moment uniquely yours while embracing the beauty and meaning of lifelong commitment.
YOUR WEDDING,
YOUR WAY
A civil ceremony offers a fully personalised wedding experience for you and your partner, free from religious elements or restrictions.
This provides you with a lot more freedom, particularly in choosing a venue. With thousands of approved locations across the UK, from castles to aquariums, you have the freedom to select a setting that truly reflects your style and personality.
Beyond the venue, every aspect of your ceremony can be tailored to you as a couple. Your music and readings can be completely unique, whether that’s a favourite song, a meaningful poem, or a special phrase shared between you. Unlike traditional church ceremonies, civil vows are unrestricted, allowing you to express your love in a way that feels most personal and significant. This freedom ensures your ceremony is a true reflection of your relationship.
Since civil ceremonies do not include religious elements, they are often shorter than traditional church
services, giving you greater flexibility to design your day exactly as you wish. This level of personalisation creates a unique and memorable experience for both you and your guests, helping to turn your dream wedding into reality.
For those who prefer a simpler approach, a registry office ceremony is an option, though some may find it a little more functional and less personal than other available venues. As with any legally binding contract, there are formalities to follow—you must give Notice of Intention to Marry or the Notice of Civil Partnership at the Registry Office, and the ceremony must take place within a year to allow time for any legal objections.
Whether you choose a grand setting or a more intimate location, a civil ceremony gives you the freedom to craft a wedding that truly represents your love story.

OUTDOOR WEDDINGS
PLANNING AN OUTDOOR WEDDING IN THE UK
From legal requirements to cosy yurts and rustic dining, plan your perfect outdoor celebration.
In the UK, legal weddings must take place under a fixed structure with a roof. This could include a veranda, bandstand, or gazebo, but not a marquee. However, if you dream of tying the knot in an unconventional outdoor location, you can hold a blessing in your chosen spot and complete the legal ceremony separately.
Many venues across the UK cater to outdoor weddings by providing licensed structures like pavilions or huts. Some venues even obtain special licences for unique spaces like treehouses or beach huts, so you can say “I do” in a memorable setting.
For a more weatherproof option, consider a yurt. Unlike a traditional marquee, yurts are sturdier, offering a spacious interior ideal for uncertain weather. Many come equipped with wood-burning stoves and comfortable seating areas, making them a cosy choice for outdoor weddings, especially in cooler months.
Outdoor weddings also allow flexibility in dining arrangements. Instead of a formal three-course meal, you could opt for a relaxed buffet, particularly if your venue includes an open barn, marquee, or outdoor
space. Not only does this add to rustic charm, but it’s often a more cost-effective catering option compared to traditional wedding breakfasts.
One of the best things about outdoor weddings is their adaptability to guest numbers and themes. Whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony with close family or a large celebration with friends, an outdoor venue can accommodate your vision. It’s also easy to personalise an outdoor space, whether inspired by an English country garden, whimsical tea party, or rustic rural aesthetic.
That said, it’s important to ensure your guests are prepared for the elements. Communicate on your invitations that much of the celebration will take place outdoors and advise attendees to bring jackets, wraps, and umbrellas for any unexpected weather. Adding a note about the theme or style of your wedding will help guests dress appropriately and feel at ease.
By combining the charm of the outdoors with thoughtful planning and creative touches, you can create a wedding as unique and unforgettable as your love story.
CREATING A WEDDING RECEPTION TO REMEMBER
When it comes to your reception, catering for your guests can be completely unique and imaginative. Whether you prefer a sit-down meal, a buffet, or something different like a hog roast or a burger van, the choice is yours.
Atraditional three-course meal is a popular option and often included in venue packages. In the warmer months, a light starter such as a melon selection or prawn cocktail can be a refreshing alternative to hot soup. Many couples opt for a roast dinner as the main course, as it’s a safe and crowdpleasing choice, but salmon or stuffed peppers can add colour and vibrancy to your menu.
For dessert, a sorbet selection or a variety of cheesecakes can offer something fresh and seasonal, perfect for spring and summer weddings. Instead of heavy puddings with custard, consider serving refreshing drinks like lemonade or iced tea, garnished with fresh fruit, to keep guests cool and happy. If you’re looking for a more relaxed dining experience, a buffet is a great choice, allowing guests to pick from a variety of foods while often being a more budget-friendly option. Alternatively, a BBQ or hog roast can create a fun, social atmosphere, especially for summer weddings,
and can be complemented with salads, pasta, and potatoes to cater to all tastes.
Decorating your wedding venue can be a challenge, but having a theme and colour scheme in mind makes it easier. Setting the mood with personalised decorations helps express your personalities and style as a couple. Spring weddings suit soft tones and pastel colours, with bunting, floral garlands, and tissue paper decorations adding charm and character. Simple centrepieces using jam jars wrapped in hessian or string, filled with small bunches of flowers, create a rustic feel that guests will love. Summer weddings can embrace bold and bright colours through tableware, chair bows, wedding favours, and centrepieces. Birdcages filled with flowers or fairy lights bring a magical touch, while rose gold, silver, or strings of crystals add glamour and elegance. Candles floating in glass vases can add a romantic, elegant glow to tables, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere as the evening unfolds. Whatever your style, thoughtful details will make your reception truly unforgettable.
THE DREAM DRESS
Regardless of age, every woman will have thought about what her dream wedding dress will look like at some point in her life.
It is important when shopping for your dream dress to keep an open mind as what you envisioned may not be the best dress for you. You will have to keep your budget in mind when thinking of not only the price of the dress but also the alterations. You will have to think carefully about your shape and what will suit you especially if you’re planning on loosing some weight or even just toning up before the big day.
THE PEAR OR TRIANGLE:
Small bust in relation to fuller hips.
A portrait neckline with larger sleeves will help to widen your upper body. It’s best to look for dresses that don’t attract too much attention to your lower half such as mermaid dresses or ones made with clingy materials. It is best to avoid dresses with an inward cut neckline such as halters and steer clear of full skirts or skirts with heavy folds, ruffles and bustles.
FULL - FIGURED:
Fuller bust, hips and waistline.
Simplicity is key. Dresses with a fuller skirt such as A-line dresses, will mask your lower body and angled lines will minimize your figure, creating the illusion
of smaller hips and thighs. Look for a dress with a dropped V-waist and a V-neckline and avoid dresses that are too form fitting or have too much detail such as beading, especially rounded beads.
PETITE :
Shorter in height in proportion with a smaller bust, hips and waistline.
Vertical lines make you look taller with dresses such as mermaid or sheath styles. High necklines will lengthen your torso along with asymmetrical and basque waistlines. This can be achieved with A-line dresses or an Empire waist. Large skirt dresses and too much detail will add width instead of height and cause you to appear overwhelmed by the large amounts of material.
THE RECTANGLE:
Proportional through the bust and hips with an defined waistline.
A princess style dress will give the illusion of curves along with an empire waistline that will draw the eyes toward the detail on your bodice. Bateau and off the shoulder necklines provide horizontal lines to break up your vertical figure. Avoid darted bustlines and dresses that cling to your silhouette.
BRIDAL GOWNS
THE INVERTED TRIANGLE:
A full bust in relation to smaller hips.
Highlight your lower half whilst taking attention away from your upper half. Minimize shoulder width by having a simple bodice, natural shoulder lines and small sleeve details. A dropped waist such as a basque waistline can lengthen your upper half with a fuller skirt with pleats, lace or beading. Avoid lowcut dresses, high waistlines, slim skirts or bodices with detailing as they would emphasize your bust.
THE HOURGLASS:
A full bust and hips with a small waistline.
An hourglass figure is forgiving for almost any style. Highlight your curves by wearing a mermaid or sheath style dress. Downplay your lines by wearing a classy and simple dress. Off-the-shoulder or sleeveless, princess or A-line, scoop or V-neck, they all look good. Avoid high or low necklines and steer clear of too much detail.
BRIDE THE BLUSHING
Having found the dress of your dreams, booked everything from the venue to photographer, and sorted gifts and outfits for the bridal party and groomsmen, you are going to want to look fresh and glowing on your big day. This is why your make-up will have to be the best it has every been.
Looking radiant is a must on your wedding day, you don’t want any telltale signs of all the stressrelated jobs you have done pre-celebrations showing on your face. The important thing to remember with make-up, if you are not hiring a professional, is to build it up as you go.
Don’t plaster your face in foundation thinking it will hide all blemishes, instead start with a primer to create an even base for your foundation. Choosing a foundation that suits your colouring is vital as you do not want any unsightly tan lines showing up in your photos. After foundation comes concealer, a must-have for any bride-to-be; apply under the eyes and on any blemishes for a flawless look, then apply a small amount of bronzer for a subtle glow, bringing it down your decolletage.
After making your face a beautiful canvas you will now be ready to make your eyes pop with a hint of colour. Think of bridal makeup as a more dramatic daytime look, this will dress your face for your special occasion and is a perfect way to ensure all eyes fall on you. Eyes should be subtle yet sultry with a hint of black to widen them; this can be achieved with a thick, or thin, line of liner running along your lash line. Next coat your eyelashes in a generous layer of jet black mascara to really make your eyes stand out and accentuate your lashes. So the only thing left is the blusher; apply too much and risk looking like a clown, apply to little and you can look washed out, so make sure you apply the perfect amount by sweeping the apples of your cheeks in a thin layer of powder and build it up to a heavenly glow.
If you decide to hire a professional, then make sure you have a run-through a few weeks in advance to ensure you find the right look to suit you. Choose colours to complement, and you are sure to look every inch the radiant bride.
glamorous and feeling stress-free.
TRESSES
The side bun
Dress it up with a big flower in the side. This style suits all face shapes. Either super neat or big and loose, a side bun is a gorgeous style for any bride wanting an up-do. A younger and softer look than a high bun, this is effortlessly pretty. For a stunning twist, add small pearls or beads into the bun.
The ponytail
Really lovely with long, thick hair. An unusual wedding style, but done right, it can look show stopping! This is definitely best worn curly, and looks best as a mid or side pony. Add glamour by creating a bouffant look at the roots and a crystal hair accessory or flower to cover the tie.
The blow dry
Fantastic and versatile this will suit any length and any type! A gorgeous hair accessory is all there is to add. A simple blow dry, whether finished straight or curly can be just as lovely as a more complicated wedding style. A bouncy blow dry is both neat and sassy on shorter hair, and comes to life with a fancy clip hair accessory or flower in the side.
The full pin up
Not all brides have long locks. This style can be interpreted in many different ways, and is great for any type of hair, but is a life saver for short haired ladies wanting a different look for their wedding! Hair can be pinned to the side, up high or simply to the back. You can opt for a modern look or put a glamorous vintage twist on it. Think Grace Kelly and you’ve got it!
Half up half down
Great with curly or wavy medium to long hair or brides wearing veils. Best with hair styled curly or wavy, get your stylist to pin back a section of your hair and leave the rest down. Play around with the twisted section by including braids or a small bun. This is definitely the best option if you have a veil.
When the emphasis is always so much on the dress, it can be easy to rush the decision on your hair.
A truly great wedding hairstyle will make you feel a million dollars and look beautiful on those special photos.
SENSUAL
SECRETS
This will be a night unlike any other, so the undergarments you choose should be just as extraordinary. While you’ll want to look ravishing, chances are you’ll be wearing your lingerie underneath your gown for a long time. That means your chosen pieces should be as comfortable as they are luxurious.
The beauty of wedding lingerie is its ability to support and smooth the natural contours of your body, giving you a flawless silhouette. No more holding your breath until after the ceremony or dealing with uncomfortable control pants first thing in the morning. With the right lingerie, you can feel beautiful, confident, and seductive throughout your big day—without worrying about discomfort.
For those who prefer a more natural feel and want to avoid the fuss of a basque or lace-up leotard, slips or simple matching bra and knickers are a great option. Slips are perfect for dresses that are slightly sheerer than a traditional wedding gown. Available in various shapes and sizes—from strapless to sleeved, backless to plungelined busts—they come in a range of colours, though white is often the best choice to prevent any darker hues from showing through your gown. Slips are especially ideal for brides opting for an empire-line dress, as they allow soft fabrics to glide over lace underwear without causing any awkward lines.
With a variety of basques, thongs, garters, suspenders, stockings, and sensual nightwear made from stunning silk, comfortable cotton, seductive satin, and luxurious lace, you can be sure to surprise and delight on your wedding night.
Choosing your wedding dress is one of the most enjoyable parts of planning a wedding, but you also need to think about lingerie which makes a woman feel and look sensual in her skin. No matter what style your dress is, what your personality is like or what shapes your body is, there is guaranteed to be something to suit you.
BIG DAY FLOWERS
Your wedding bouquet is the finishing touch that completes your bridal look, so choosing the perfect one is essential. With our helpful guide, you’re sure to find the perfect bouquet style that ties your entire look together flawlessly.
CASCADE BOUQUETS
Make a statement with a cascade bouquet, featuring a dramatic flow of flowers cascading down the front. Incorporating elements like vines and orchids adds a touch of rustic elegance. To really make your bouquet the centre of attention, pair it with a simple, streamlined gown and let the stunning arrangement shine.
POSY BOUQUETS
For a timeless and elegant look, consider a posy bouquet—a carefully arranged collection of flowers in a classic round shape. This smaller, easy-to-hold bouquet exudes sophistication while remaining practical. To elevate the design, weave in delicate crystals or pearls within the flowers and finish with soft ribbons trailing from the bouquet’s base for a graceful touch.
POMANDER BOUQUETS
If you’re looking for something truly unique, a pomander bouquet is a fantastic choice. The flowers are sculpted into perfect, spherical shapes, with a ribbon handle for easy carrying. These bouquets are particularly charming for flower girls, providing a whimsical, manageable alternative to traditional blooms.
CRESCENT BOUQUETS
Crescent bouquets are perfect for brides who want a more petite, yet elegant option. These distinctive arrangements are typically smaller in size, with larger blooms at the top centre and finer, trailing flowers that sweep gracefully down each side. Crescent bouquets offer a refined, modern twist on traditional shapes, adding personality to your wedding day look.
ACCESSORISE WITH FLOWERS
Once you’ve selected your bouquet, don’t forget to accessorise with flowers to complete your bridal look. Floral hairpieces are a popular choice in 2025, adding a dreamy, romantic vibe to your style. For a more playful option, consider a wrist corsage - an effortless accessory that complements your gown with a touch of floral charm.
With these bouquet styles and accessory ideas, you can create a wedding look that is both enchanting and uniquely yours, reflecting your personal style and beauty on your special day.
YOUR BRIDAL
SUPPORT
When choosing the dresses for your bridesmaids there is a lot to think about. You want each of your bridesmaids to feel and look amazing but you must also ensure it ties in with your own dress and the theme of your wedding.
There are many ways to do this especially if you don’t want your bridesmaids to be perfectly matching. You may want to just ask for a specific colour and allow your bridesmaids to pick their own style of dress in that particular colour or even a range of colours such as light to bright blue. This will allow each person to get a dress that suits them and their body or skin tone. You do not have to change much between the different dresses if you still want them to clearly match. You can just change one feature such as the length, neckline or shade to ensure they still match whilst being personal to each bridesmaid.
Another great way to ensure that all of your bridesmaids are happy with their dress is to choose a multiway bridesmaid dress. These can be worn in a number of ways whilst the colour and fabric are the same to ensure that everyone matches whilst still feeling confident. Allowing these small changes will allow every girl to feel unique and special in what they are wearing whilst still being co ordinated with the rest of your wedding.
Of course you can always have your bridesmaids in different length dresses to ensure that everyone feels comfortable in what they are wearing. There are no rules when it comes to how you want your bridesmaids to dress so they don’t all have to be exactly the same. Each person has their own specific style and colours which work well with their skin tone, therefore it’s a good idea to play to each persons strengths so that they feel great and confident in their dress.
Although there is no reason that your bridesmaids can wear jumpsuits instead of dresses or anything else that you decide on. This is becoming a growing trend to allow your bridesmaids to opt for a jumpsuit if they would prefer not to wear a dress. This way they can feel comfortable and confident in their outfit but you can still ensure that they match with the colours or fabrics that you have chosen. Whether all your bridesmaids are in jumpsuit or just a few this allows them to show their individual style and look more unique.

From flattering silhouettes to bold colours and perfect accessories, find the ideal outfit for your child’s big day.
Many women worry that certain styles are “too young” or that showing their shoulders or legs is not “ageappropriate.” However, no matter your age, your outfit should reflect your unique spirit—especially on such an important day as your son or daughter’s wedding.
Opting for a dramatic and flattering gown, perhaps with sheer sleeves, can allow you to feel confident while keeping your look modest. Don’t avoid colour—bold hues look stunning in photographs alongside a light wedding dress. That said, ensure the colour complements your skin tone for the most flattering effect.
Choosing your outfit requires careful planning, but don’t feel pressured to decide too early or leave it until the last minute. You might change your mind more than once,
and it’s not uncommon for your dress size to fluctuate in the months leading up to the wedding. Allow yourself plenty of time to find the perfect look.
Traditionally, the mother’s outfit colour complements the bridesmaids, but you don’t have to match exactly. Staying within the same colour palette but choosing a lighter or darker shade can create a lovely contrast. Alternatively, neutral or metallic tones, such as silver-grey or champagne, are versatile options that pair beautifully with any wedding colour scheme while adding a touch of elegance and radiance to your ensemble.
One of the biggest challenges women face when shopping for occasion wear is their own perception of their bodies. If you’re self-conscious about your figure, consider an outfit with a built-in corset—it can create a flattering silhouette and boost confidence for all shapes and sizes.
Currently, three main silhouettes are trending, with options for various necklines, sleeve lengths, and hemlines. A tealength midi gown hugs curves before flaring out at midthigh, showing off trim ankles and fabulous shoes. Offthe-shoulder gowns highlight beautiful shoulders, while knee-length dresses in stretch lace or embellished fabrics are perfect for showcasing great legs.
Accessories can elevate your outfit further. A statement hat or fascinator adds a touch of glamour, with many mums opting to match their accessories to their dress. If your outfit is patterned, selecting an accessory in one of the featured colours ensures a polished, coordinated look. Many stores even offer the option to dye hats, fascinators, or clutches to complement your chosen ensemble perfectly.
With thoughtful planning and a focus on what makes you feel confident and beautiful, you’re sure to shine on this special day.
TOUCHES THE FINAL
A touch of glitz and glamour can enhance any bridal look, turning it into something truly memorable. Jewellery and hair accessories not only complete the outfit but also add an extra layer of elegance and sophistication to the bride’s overall appearance.
Choosing sparkling hair combs or delicate hair pins to transform simple hairstyles into dramatic updos in seconds. A timeless option is to style the hair low and enhance it with a dainty headpiece or an ornate hair comb, instantly giving the look a bridal feel.
If your preference leans towards understated elegance, consider incorporating subtle touches of colour with your jewellery. A delicate necklace paired with dainty earrings can beautifully complement your outfit, adding that bit of extra sparkle without overwhelming the look.
Pearls remain a popular choice for wedding jewellery, symbolising luck and wisdom. Wearing pearls on your special day is believed to bring class and elegance to your attire. Available in various shapes, sizes, and shades, pearls can be tailored to match your unique style.
Antique or vintage jewellery is a perfect choice for adding a unique and personal touch. Choosing pieces in blue not only honours tradition but also adds sophistication and a hint of drama to your bridal outfit. Incorporating colours featured in your dress, such as embroidery or embellishments, is another way to create a harmonious and personalised look.
To add a hint of colour to your hair accessories, consider a rose gold hair comb, a floral vine headdress, or silver hair pins adorned with diamanté in blue or green. These little touches can make your bridal attire stand out while maintaining a cohesive and elegant theme.
Although coloured jewellery has traditionally been associated with bridesmaids or flower girls, more brides are embracing it as a way to add glamour or coordinate with their bouquets or bridesmaids’ dresses. A splash of colour can enhance your wedding theme while keeping your look modern and stylish.
Wedding rings, of course, hold a special place in bridal jewellery as the ultimate symbol of love and commitment. This circle of precious metal, whether a
simple band or adorned with intricate patterns or gemstones, represents an unbroken bond. From classic gold and platinum to modern rose gold or titanium designs, the choices are endless. Many couples personalise their rings with engravings, special dates, or custom details that reflect their unique love story, making this cherished piece of jewellery even more meaningful.
With the right accessories and a little creativity, you can craft a bridal look that’s as unique and beautiful as your love story. Whether you prefer timeless pearls, vintage elegance, or contemporary sparkle, your jewellery and hair accessories will ensure you shine on your special day.

PERFECT SUIT CHOOSING THE
Tradition isn’t always the best option - focus on what flatters your figure. Add personality to your formal wear with a pop of colour through a handkerchief, bow tie, tie, or cufflinks that match the wedding theme.

If you have a tall and slim frame, double-breasted styles and high shoulders will suit you beautifully. A long jacket will complement your height and proportions far better than a shorter jacket. For muscular builds, opt for a well-fitted jacket that sits perfectly on your shoulders, ensuring both style and comfort.
For shorter grooms, a shorter jacket is the way to go. It prevents you from appearing smaller than you are, especially compared to the classic tailed or morning suit. Morning suits, the epitome of formal attire, consist of a single-breasted jacket with long tails at the back. Pair these with slim-fitting trousers to elongate the legs and create a sleek silhouette. These suits are traditionally black or grey and worn with a waistcoat, making them ideal for church weddings or formal civil ceremonies.
Some grooms may feel more at ease in a classic, everyday style suit. To elevate this look, consider adding a matching waistcoat and cravat. To stand out from your best man and ushers, choose a waistcoat or tie in a different colour. For any suit style, ensure the shoulders fit snugly, as they form the foundation of a sharp
look. For formal suits, some grooms prefer slightly wider shoulders for added comfort.
While there are no strict rules about how much cuff should show under your jacket, a general guideline is around 1 cm. Accessories such as cufflinks and tie pins can make a bold statement and personalised or novelty pieces for groomsmen are increasingly popular, doubling as meaningful wedding gifts.
For spring or summer weddings, lightweight fabrics like linen are a practical yet stylish choice. Don’t be afraid to wear a black suit during the warmer months—it’s a classic option that can be softened with a pale shirt and tie combination. Navy blue has also become a timeless choice for grooms in recent years. It’s versatile enough for formal occasions with black shoes or a more relaxed look with tan brogues.
Finally, your shoes are just as important as your suit. Make sure they complement your outfit and take the time to polish and shine them to perfection. Your wedding day is a moment to look and feel your best, and attention to detail will ensure you stand out as the perfect groom.
THE BIG DAY LOOKING YOUR BEST FOR
If your big day is happening in the colder months, you don’t want to be caught shivering at the end of the aisle. Everyone knows the saying: if you look good, you feel good.
This applies to men too, making good grooming essential on your wedding day. A sharp haircut and a clean shave can go a long way towards boosting your confidence.
When it comes to your hair, stick to a style you know suits you, like a classic taper, layered cut, or Caesar cut. Unless you usually go for a very short style, aim to get your haircut about a week before the big day. Your wedding photos will be around for decades, so avoid experimenting with a brand-new look or chasing a trendy style on such an important day. On the morning of the wedding, visit your barber for a quick neck shave and sideburn touch-up to ensure you look polished.
If you usually sport a beard, keep it, but make sure it’s professionally trimmed and shaped. A well-maintained beard paired with a clean-shaven neck and cheeks looks polished and fresh. If you’re typically clean-shaven, consider treating yourself to a professional shave at a high-end barbershop. It’s a great way to start your wedding day and ensures you look your best for the occasion.
Your skin will also benefit from a little extra care in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Prioritise sleep, drink plenty of water, and cut back on alcohol to improve your complexion. Schedule your bachelor party a few days before the wedding to avoid looking tired or, worse, hungover on the big day. On the night before, go to bed early so you wake up feeling well-rested, with plenty of time to groom and prepare.
While getting married is a big milestone for you, it’s an even bigger day for your bride. Showing up with a great haircut and a clean shave is one of the simplest yet most thoughtful ways to show her you’re ready to say “I do” and start this next chapter together.
ARRIVE IN
STYLE
Booking your wedding transport can be just as important as the venue. Once you have secured a date, the next jobs should be to book your preferred method of transport and your favourite photographer.
There are many aspects to consider when choosing transport for your wedding day. Firstly, think about who needs transport: the bride and her father, the bridesmaids, possibly the bride’s mother and flower girls. After this, the bride and groom typically travel together to the reception venue if it’s in a separate location from the ceremony, meaning the father of the bride travels with the bridesmaids or the rest of the wedding party.
It’s common to spend a portion of the budget on transport, especially for a classic car or horse and carriage. Most companies build a fantastic reputation and provide excellent service with all decorations for a reasonable cost.
It’s a good idea to view the vehicles before finalising any details, as websites and adverts can be misleading. If you’re opting for a large, princess-style dress, a small car may not be comfortable.
Wedding transport is a way for couples to showcase their style and personalities. Whether quirky, classic, or traditional, there’s something for everyone. A classic car like a Bentley or Rolls Royce is always a safe choice, but consider something more unique to reveal your individuality.
For the ‘wow factor,’ a luxury limousine adds drama to your arrival and is perfect for larger dresses or bridal parties. Coaches are also a great option for transporting guests between venues, ensuring everyone arrives together. You can also create a reaction with a fairy-tale horse and carriage, a classic VW Beetle, or even a Ferrari.
PICTURE PERFECT
Your photographer can be one of the most important people at your wedding. They capture moments that you may have missed and catch the intimate moments between you as a married couple so that you will never forget the day.
Photographs from your wedding day should be as unique as you, so finding the perfect photographer is essential. There can be nothing worse than receiving photos from your wedding day and being disappointed with the quality. When you are choosing your photographer, first go through some of their galleries and see if you like the shots that they take and when arranging a meeting with them, have in mind certain shots that you would like to capture and make sure that particular photographer knows what you are looking for.
For most photographers, their job is their passion and they are as keen to get the photos right as you are. If their portfolio and photography style does not suit you then they are not the one for you. The majority of them want you to ask as many questions as possible, and they are always happy to help and have fun on their shoots when photographing your wedding day.
It is important to get along with your photographer. If you are not completely comfortable around them then your photos will come out with tense shoulders and forced smiles. Wedding photographs should be natural and capture the way you and your partner are together.
It is easy to look at the cost of photographers, but this is one aspect of your wedding that you should not save money on. Photographs will most likely be the biggest way to capture memories of your beautiful day and saving money by going for a cheaper photography package is not the best way to stay within your budget as it could result in photographs that don’t show the magic and uniqueness of the day.
It’s a good idea to arrange a visit to the wedding venue with your photographer as they can plan out some shots and get an idea of where photographs should be taken throughout the day. It also gives an opportunity for you to let the photographer know what sort of shots you would like to capture on the day. It gives them a better idea of your personalities and they will then be able to help incorporate as much of it into the photos as possible.

A NIGHT TO
REMEMBER
Wedding entertainment is key to creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for both the couple and their guests. From music to interactive fun, there are countless options to make the day even more special.
MUSICAL DELIGHTS
Music is at the heart of every wedding. Couples can choose live performances from local bands, string quartets, or pianists to set the tone during the ceremony, enhance the reception, and keep the dance floor alive at the after-party. Professional DJs offer diverse playlists to keep everyone dancing.
CAPTURING JOYFUL MOMENTS
Unique photography ideas can add extra fun. Photo booths with wedding-themed props and speech bubbles offer guests a playful experience. A caricaturist can sketch personalized, humorous portraits of guests, while a personalized Instagram board encourages social media sharing, making the celebration even more memorable.
SPARKLING
MEMORIES
Fireworks displays bring an awe-inspiring element to the
wedding. They entertain guests and offer incredible photo opportunities. Couples can also opt for sparklers, inviting guests to form heart shapes or write the couple’s initials— moments that create stunning photographs and lasting memories.
MAGIC AND LAUGHTER
Hiring a magician or illusionist adds enchantment and amusement. These performers interact with guests, creating moments of wonder and laughter, ensuring everyone is engaged throughout the evening.
THE FIRST DANCE
The first dance is a cherished moment for the couple. Whether it’s a romantic slow dance or an upbeat routine, this moment reflects the couple’s unique love story and sets the tone for an unforgettable evening.
Setting the Stage for Lasting Memories
Professional Firework Displays carefully designed for all our customers.
Whether it’s a small wedding show or a full-scale public event.
We also offer a stunning range of special effects.
TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS
When a couple marries, there is only one main attraction aside from the bride and groom themselves - the cake. This is where tastebuds and imaginartion can really go wild.
The wedding cake you choose can be as wild and imaginative as you wish. If you want a black marzipan-covered chocolate cake with neon pink flowers, go for it! No longer do you have to stick to the traditional three-tiered fruitcake with royal icing and a selection of edible decorations and ribbons.
Wedding cakes today can follow any theme your heart desires. Whether it’s an elegant minimalist design, a whimsical creation, or something truly unique, the key is giving your baker adequate notice and a rough idea of how many guests are expected. This avoids any awkward moments when trying to dish out a small, single-tier cake to hundreds of cake-hungry guests.
A popular modern choice is to skip the traditional multi-tiered cake entirely and opt for a variety of individual cupcakes. Each one can be decorated in the same style, and handed out to guests as they mingle. Cupcakes add a contemporary twist to your wedding celebration while still providing the classic cake experience.
For couples looking for something truly custom, many are opting for cakes that reflect their personalities— whether that’s through quirky flavours, personalised cake toppers, or creative, edible art that tells a story. There are even cake alternatives, like donut towers or cheese wheels, perfect for modern weddings with a twist.

BE OUR GUEST
Wedding invitations are the first peek that your guests get into your wedding day, so you should make sure that it makes a good impression.
Along with listing the location and time of day, the style of the invitation hints at the formality of your wedding. You should have an idea of the type of event that you’re throwing, whether that is classic and elegant, casual and relaxed or glam and modern. You should spell everything out, including the date and time of the ceremony.
Think about your wedding colours as you may want to incorporate some hues and a motif into your invitations. You can then carry this theme on throughout the rest of your wedding papers such as table numbers, seating plans, menus and ceremony programs. Whilst ivory, cream and white paired with black or golden font is a classic choice for invitations, you can brighten them up with colourful or metallic fonts, paper, envelopes and liners.
When you are considering colours and patterns for your invitations, you cannot forget about the text. The information that you put on the invitation is the whole point of sending it out in the first place.
Avoid light-coloured inks on light backgrounds and dark ink on dark backgrounds. Yellow and pastel colours are tough to read unless they are on a dark background. Do also be aware of fonts that may be harder to read, so avoid anything too fancy and enable your guests to read it properly.
Your ‘save-the-date’ cards should be sent out at least half a year before the wedding. While they don’t have to match your invites, ordering everything from one stationer can save you money and make the invitation process easier for you. Start scouting stationers around a year before the wedding and aim to order your invitations about 4-5 months before so that they are ready to mail out 6 weeks before the wedding.
Order your menus, programs and thank you notes with your invitations. That way, your stationer can include all of the pieces in one order, which may save you money and time. It’s also a good way to ensure that all of your stationery has a cohesive look, even if you want to vary the design slightly for each element.
