COUNTY JUDGE AND MAYOR GET READY FOR AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION’S HEART WALK Walker County Judge Danny Pierce (left) and City of Huntsville Mayor Mac Woodward (right) were seen practicing and warming up for the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk down on Bowers Stadium’s track. While matching track skills with the Bearkat track team who had been practicing, both the Judge and the Mayor took a minute out to encourage everyone to participate in the upcoming event on Saturday, November 16th. The Heart Walk raises funds to help fight the #1 killer of Americans — cardiovascular disease.

Lots of little ghouls, goblins and even angels ran through the streets of downtown Huntsville prior to Halloween, playing games and participating in various business and organization-sponsored activities. Baby Jenna couldn’t decide whether she wanted to be an angel or a firefighter, so she just went with both. Scare on the Square is sponsored by Huntsville’s Main Street organization on the Saturday before Halloween each year.
