The H. Lavity Stoutt Community College's first graduation exercises, which were held on June 19, 1994, at the Paraquita Bay Campus. Dr. Harley Flack, the new president of Wright State University, with which the Community College collaborates in the delivery of M.Ed. and MBA programmes, was the commencement keynote speaker. Mrs. Leona WattIey was graduated with an associate degree and some 30 persons were graduated with certificates of

achievement (15 credits) and certificates of higher education (45 credits). The ceremony was an impressive event with faculty (including some 30 adjunct faculty members), staff and graduates marching in full academic regalia. Platform guests included representatives from the College of Education and Human Services of Wright State University, the University of the Virgin Islands, and the University of the West Indies. In

addition to the keynote address by President Flack, remarks were also given by the Hon. Ralph T. O'Neal, Chairman of the Board of Governors; the Hon. H. Lavity Stoutt, Chief Minister and Founding Chairman; and the Hon. Louis Walters, Minister of Health Education and Welfare. Musical selections were performed by the College Brass Ensemble and by the College Chorale .•
