The KCCVB works to market Knox County as a great place to live, work and play. That means supporting our partners like, Main, Market & Beyond, to leverage local amenities and events - and using insights to better understand the visitor and the visitor experience.
VILLAGES & MERCHANTS
Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier are the villages that each add to the natural amenities and hidden gems of Knox County. Highlighting these communities indiviually gives residents and visitors a sense of place and pride. Street fairs, shop hops, and festivals all add to the visitor experience.

Analyzing mobility data, we know people that visit Knox County come back again. In 2023, 1.3 million visited our county resulting in over 10 million visits.

VISITOR OVERVIEW
The Village of Danville has seen a +7.1% increase in visitors in 2024. Due to construction at the East of SR229, in Gambier, the most active entry point into the Village, in 2024, was coming from the South on SR62. Visitors frequent the trail, the shops within the Main Street district and are looking for more dining options in the evening.
VISITOR OVERVIEW
As you travel through the picturesque countryside, along Ohio's Amish Scenic Byway (Route 62), you'll find yourself in the Village of Danville. A crossroads of rich agriculture, farming and rural life; Danville is a small town with big pride.
Family-owned businesses line their Main Street, and if you stay you'll enjoy a few events hosted by Main, Market and Beyond such as, Ladies Night Out (May), Chicken Days (June) or the Christmas Walk (December).

Main Market & Beyond leverage local amenities and events to gather the community and visitors. Various events happen throughout the year, but the largest are Ladies Night Out and Chicken Days. Main, Market and Beyond top signature events include Ladies Night Out (May) and Chicken Days (June). These events bring the local merchants together to promote, advertise and engage their business/offering with the community.
Providing live entertainment, giveaways and activities for the whole family, these events show how collaboration is vital to spotlight a community; its businesses, ammenities and offerings to locals and visitors.
