Takara Sake USA Inc. Takara Sake brewery was established in 1982, and is now the largest sake brewery in the U.S. Home of awardwinning Sho Chiku Bai sake. In 1966, right on the heels of the Free Speech Movement, Alfred Peet began to brew another born-in-Berkeley revolution, this one called craft coffee.
