MISIÓN / MISSION
Editorial En el marco del Día Internacional de la Mujer, cabe aclarar que no es una celebración o una fecha romántica, en realidad es la conmemoración de una tragedia ocurrida en 1911 en Nueva York, Estados Unidos, que llevó a las mujeres a la indignación y a la exigencia -mediante marchas y protestas- de sus derechos laborales, así como civiles y políticos, incluyendo la libertad del voto y la igualdad de sueldos. Las peticiones del grupo de trabajadoras fue un impacto para el mundo que se encontraba escéptico de que éstas salieran a la calle y se revelarán ante la discriminación. Fue hasta 1975 que la ONU declaró la fecha como Día Internacional. Creo que en estos tiempos es posible saber que toda mujer puede lograr lo que desea, que tiene poder en sus dones, en sus talentos y que Dios la ha hecho una creación maravillosa. Las primeras páginas de la biblia confirman la igualdad fundamental entre mujeres y varones, ambos somos creados a imagen y semejanza de Dios según Génesis 1:27, aunque vemos en la historia que, el hombre y la religión -no Dios-, han distorsionado dicha imagen, por lo que es momento de que los seguidores de Jesús reconstruyan una sociedad a través de la verdad de la palabra, o sea la Biblia, ya que, al seguir subestimando la imagen de la mujer, quien continuamente es abusada de diversas maneras, acaba con el pilar de la familia. También es bueno saber que desde hace más de 20 años
se busca celebrar el Día Internacional de la Familia, para crear conciencia sobre el papel principal que tiene ante la sociedad y la comunidad. Esto viene a relucir debido a que creemos firmemente que se disminuirá la violencia si construimos familias fortalecidas, obviamente dentro de una sociedad justa y equitativa, que necesita del trabajo y la responsabilidad tanto de hombres como de mujeres. La lucha y las victorias están en el hogar, recuerda que un legislador, un presidente o un empresario nacieron de una mujer, quien debió enseñar amor, dirección y responsabilidad. Actualmente debemos tener conciencia de que no sólo se trata de salir a protestar, sino a vivir los derechos y el poder que tenemos como mujer, madre, hermana e hija. Cualquiera que sea tu faceta, siempre da rumbo a la historia con una dignidad femenina y un alto sentido de justicia que Dios puso en nuestra vida. Es por lo que, en esta edición de marzo, mes en el que Visionarias festeja su 2do. Aniversario, queremos darte a conocer nuestros avances, entre ellos, nuestras oficinas y un espacio de ayuda social para la mujer, donde el objetivo principal es hacer conciencia colectiva de sembrar valores y fortalecer a la familia, para que desde el hogar surjan buenos ciudadanos.
In International Women’s Day’s framework, it’s worth clarifying that it’s not a celebration or a romantic date, it’s actually the commemoration of a tragedy that occurred in 1911 in New York, United States, which led women to outrage and demand -through marches and protests- their labor, as well as civil and political rights, including the freedom to vote and equal pay. The demands of the group of women workers came as a shock to the world, which was skeptical that they would take the streets and speak out against discrimination. It was not until 1975 that the UN declared the date as International Women’s Day. I believe that now it is easy to know that every woman can achieve whatever she wants, that she has power in her gifts, in her talents and that God has made her a marvelous creation. The first pages of the Bible confirm the fundamental equality between women and men, we are both created in the image and likeness of God according to Genesis 1:27, although we see in history that man and religion -not Godhave distorted this image, so it’s time for Jesus’ followers to rebuild a society through the truth of the word, that is the Bible, since, by continuing to underestimate the women’s image, who are continuously abused in various ways, it ends
with her as a pillar of the family. It’s also good to know that for more than 20 years, the International Day of the Family has been celebrated to raise awareness about the main role of the family in society and the community. This comes to light because we believe that violence will decrease if we build strong families, obviously within a fair and equitable society, which needs the work and responsibility of both men and women. The struggle and the victories are at home, remember that a legislator, a president or a businessman was born of a woman, who taught them love, direction and responsibility. Today we must be aware that it’s not only about going out to protest, but to live the rights and power we have as a woman, mother, sister and daughter. Whatever your facet, always give direction to history with a feminine dignity and a high sense of justice that God put in our lives. That is why, in this edition of March, month in which Visionarias celebrates its 2nd Anniversary, we want to let you know our progress, among them, our own offices and a space of social help for women, where the main objective is to make collective awareness to sow values and strengthen the family, so that from the home arise good citizens.

Women in this time When I write the word “Woman”, I cannot help but think of how special we are in the eyes of God, and at the same time comes to my mind the verse in the Bible in Isaiah 43:4: “For you were highly esteemed in my sight, you were honorable, and I loved you”.
God sees us with such great and special love
LA MUJER EN ESTE TIEMPO Al escribir la palabra “Mujer”, no puedo dejar de pensar en lo especial que somos ante los ojos de Dios, y al mismo tiempo viene a mi mente el versículo en la Biblia en Isaías 43:4: “Porque a mis ojos fuiste de gran estima, fuiste honorable, y yo te amé”.
Dios nos ve con ese amor tan grande y especial.
La mujer en este tiempo, en este siglo, además de estar llena de responsabilidades, está llena de retos que supera uno a uno. Durante décadas se enfrentó a que sus derechos como mujer no fueran tomados en cuenta, pero el Señor siempre la dignificó y cuidó de ella. Como mujeres hemos luchado por salir adelante, eligiendo qué estudiar, si trabajar o no fuera de casa, participar en la economía del hogar o simplemente ser mujeres activas en los diferentes roles que nos toca vivir, incluso, en algunos casos, padeciendo abuso físico y psicológico. Lo podemos constatar en este tiempo actual, que como mujeres nos enfrentamos a las diferentes realidades, tanto en el confinamiento, como con la carga de trabajo extenuante. Tuvimos que aprender tanto de tecnología y plataformas para ayudar a los hijos en sus actividades escolares, así como a hacer “office home”, sin relegar los

trabajos de rutina del hogar y el apoyo incondicional a nuestro esposo. Así que cómo no admirarla, cómo no tenerla en esa gran estima y honor, si a la mujer virtuosa descrita en Proverbios 31:10-31 podemos verla en este tiempo, a la mujer que su estima sobrepasa a las piedras preciosas. El versículo 10 dice: Mujer virtuosa, ¿Quién la hallará?; puedo afirmar que cada hogar, cada esposo, cada hijo la ha encontrado, ya que donde hay una mujer como tú, hay bendición por que “La mujer que teme a Jehová, esa será alabada”. ¡Feliz Día Internacional de la Mujer!
The woman in this time, in this century, besides being full of responsibilities, is full of challenges that she overcomes one by one. For decades she faced the fact that her rights as a woman were not taken into account, but the Lord always dignified her and took care of her. As women we have struggled to get ahead, choosing what to study, whether or not to work outside the home, participate in the household economy or simply be active women in the different roles we live, even, in some cases, suffering physical and psychological abuse. We can see it in this time, that as women we face different realities, both in confinement and with the strenuous workload. We had to learn about technology and platforms to help our children in their school activities, as well as to do “office home”, without relegating the routine work at home and the unconditional support to our husband. So how not to admire her, how not to have her in that great esteem and honor, if we can see the virtuous woman described in Proverbs 31:1031 in this time, the woman whose esteem surpasses precious stones. Verse 10 says: Virtuous woman, who will find her? I can affirm that every home, every husband, every son has found her, because where there is a woman like you, there is blessing because “The woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised”. The family, divine design To know that God, the creator of the earth and its fullness, was the one who had the great idea of forming the family, is wonderful. And to know that from him comes every blessing, to know in his word, his foundation, his purpose and his way of functioning, is special. By doing so, we can each of its members take our place and become a team.
How do we celebrate Family Day?
First, by giving thanks to God for life. Make a short list of reasons and also show gratitude to each one for their love, as well for their kindness, patience, service, help, and so on. Plan a special gathering together, where you have times for conversation, food, games and activities, whether or not you leave the house. Make a plan for spontaneous and scheduled family gatherings, such as a weekly lunch or dinner, where everyone is connected with talk, looks, smiles and prayer. No cell phones! and enjoy the time together, as it goes by so quickly.

LA FAMILIA, DISEÑO DIVINO Saber que Dios, el creador de la tierra y su plenitud, fue quien tuvo la gran idea de formar la familia, es maravilloso. Y saber que de él viene toda bendición, conocer en su palabra, su fundamento, su propósito y su forma de funcionar, es especial. Al hacerlo así, podremos cada uno de sus miembros tomar nuestro lugar y hacer equipo.
¿Cómo celebrar el día de la familia?
Primero dando gracias a Dios por la vida. Hacer una lista breve de motivos y también mostrar gratitud a cada uno
por su amor, así como su bondad, paciencia, servicio, ayuda, etcétera. Planear juntos una reunión especial, en la que se tengan tiempos de conversación, comida, juegos y actividades, independientemente de salir o no de casa. Hacer un proyecto para reuniones de familia espontáneas y programadas, como una comida o cena semanal, donde todos estén conectados con plática, miradas, sonrisas y oración. ¡No celulares! y disfrutar el tiempo juntos, ya que éste pasa muy rápido.

LA IMPORTANCIA DE LA COMUNICACIÓN EN LA FAMILIA Si la comunicación es importante en cualquier ámbito de la vida, imagina cuánto lo es dentro de la familia. A través de la comunicación, establecemos y fortalecemos los vínculos, expresamos sentimientos, ideas y proyectos. Sea cual sea tu papel dentro de la familia, deseas ser escuchado, y es nuestro deber escuchar a los demás, recordando que la Biblia nos enseña que todo hombre debe de ser tardo para hablar y pronto para oír (Santiago 1:19). Una buena comunicación es la clave para mantener buenas relaciones en la familia y para la formación de los hijos. En este sentido, los padres y las madres que se comunican adecuadamente con sus hijos les ofrecen autoconfianza y aprendizaje a mediano y largo plazo, y favorecen relaciones interpersonales sanas. En el matrimonio el ingrediente más importante es la destreza en la comunicación, y es que sin comunicación es imposible el conocimiento del otro, del mismo modo que sin ésta tampoco es posible que se dé el amor. La comunicación no es solamente las palabras que decimos, sino el momento y el lugar que escogemos para hacerlo, por lo tanto, es importante tener en cuenta la recomendación que el
apóstol Pablo nos dejó en su carta escrita a los Efesios, y que nos pide escoger nuestras palabras teniendo en cuenta que el fin es bendecir a mi familia a través de ellas. Desechemos malos hábitos como la gritería, el enojo y la amargura (Efesios 4:31). La buena noticia hoy es que podemos aprender a comunicarnos, así que te dejaré algunos consejos que puedes poner en práctica para comunicarte de manera efectiva con tu familia: 1. Tiempo para hablar sin interrupciones 2. Evita las críticas 3. Respeto 4. Escucha activamente 5. Se honesto, pero no imprudente 6. Recuerda que no sólo comunicamos a través de nuestras palabras, sino que también nuestras acciones envían un mensaje a nuestra familia. Así que es muy importante que éstas dos sean congruentes entre sí. Si intencionalmente buscas mejorar cada día la comunicación, verás un fortalecimiento en tu relación familiar.

The importance of communication in the family If communication is important in any area of life, imagine how important it is within the family. Through communication, we establish and strengthen bonds, express feelings, ideas and projects. Whatever your role within the family, you want to be heard, and it’s our duty to listen to others, remembering that the Bible teaches us that every man should be slow to speak and quick to hear (James 1:19). Good communication is the key to maintain good relationships in the family and for children’s formation. Fathers and mothers who communicate adequately with their children offer them self-confidence and medium and long term learning, and favor healthy interpersonal relationships. In marriage, the most important ingredient is communication skills, because without communication it’s impossible to get to know each other, just as without communication it’s impossible for love to exist. Communication is not only the words we say, but the time and place we choose to do it, therefore, it’s important to keep in mind the recommendation that the apostle Paul left us in his letter written to the Ephesians, which asks us to choose our words taking into account that the purpose is to bless our family through them. Let us discard bad habits such as shouting, anger and bitterness
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen” Ephesians 4:29 (Ephesians 4:31). The good news today is that we can learn to communicate, so I’ll leave you with some tips you can put into practice to communicate effectively with your family: 1. Time to talk without interruptions 2. Avoid criticism 3. Respect 4. Listen actively 5. Be honest, but not reckless 6. Remember that not only do we communicate through our words, but also our actions send a message to our family. So it is very important that these two are congruent with each other. If you intentionally seek to improve your communication every day, you will see a strengthening of your family relationship.

SANTA SOLTERÍA Muchas veces escuchamos que la soltería es nuestro campo de preparación para el matrimonio, y para algunas, ese pensamiento las vuelve locas ya que lo sienten como una carrera que hay que terminar lo más pronto posible. En cambio otras realmente disfrutan la soltería sin ningún compromiso, enfocándose únicamente en sus metas. Sin embargo, en todo debe de haber un balance. Puedes disfrutar de tu soltería y enfocarte en tus metas a la vez que te preparas para el matrimonio, sin olvidar que parte de nuestro propósito en esta tierra es vivir una soltería que le agrade a Dios. Mientras estamos en la soltería hay que buscar la manera de que nuestra vida tenga el propósito para el cual fuimos creadas, mismo que va más allá de cuántos diplomas podamos obtener o de cuánto dinero podamos generar, e incluso va más allá de nuestros propios deseos. Recuerda que desde que aceptamos a Jesús como nuestro salvador y Señor, nuestra vida deja de pertenecernos al cien por ciento y como creyentes uno de nuestros anhelos más grandes es servirle. Una soltería que agrada a Dios es aquella que busca su voluntad, dirección y propósito. Es aquella que respeta su cuerpo y los tiempos, para no entregarlo antes, la que une su corazón con el del padre y entiende su latir. Es aquella que busca la voz de Dios primero que la del mundo; la que sirve y construye para Dios y para el prójimo. así como aquella que entiende que el temor a Dios es reverencia y amor, y no terror. Por último, es aquella que se apasiona día a día por agradar a Dios, que ama la santidad y la respeta, pero, sobre todo, que entiende que ser soltera no significa tener luz verde para todo porque no hay un compromiso con alguien, sino todo lo contrario, es aquella que sabe que su principal compromiso está con el Señor y aunque esté esa luz no significa que todo le conviene. Si nuestro primer deseo y anhelo es agradar a Dios y seguir su voluntad, todo lo demás se irá añadiendo a nuestra vida con el fin de ayudarnos a un destino con propósito y finalmente escuchar “esta es mi hija amada, en quien tengo complacencia”. (Mateo 3:17)

Holy singleness Many times we hear that singleness is our field of preparation for marriage, and for some, that thought drives them crazy because they feel like a race to finish as soon as possible. Others, on the other hand, really enjoy being single without any commitment, focusing only on their goals. However, in everything there must be a balance. You can enjoy your singleness and focus on your goals while preparing for marriage, without forgetting that part of our purpose on this earth is to live a singleness that pleases God. While we are single we must find a way for our life to have the purpose for which we were created, which goes beyond how many diplomas we can get or how much money we can generate, and even goes beyond our own desires. Remember that from the moment we accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord, our life ceases to belong to us one hundred percent and as believers one of our greatest desires is to serve Him. A singleness that pleases God is one that seeks His will, direction and purpose. It’s one that respects the body and times, so as not to give it away before, one that unites its heart with
And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased’.” S. Matthew 3:17 its father’s and understands his heartbeat. Is the one who seeks the God’s voice before the voice of the world; the one who serves and builds for God and for its neighbor, as well as the one who understands that the fear of God is reverence and love, and not terror. Finally, is the one who is passionate day by day to please God, who loves holiness and respects it, but, above all, who understands that being single doesn’t mean having the green light for everything because there is no commitment to someone, but quite the contrary, is the one who knows that the main commitment is with the Lord and even if is that light, doesn’t mean that everything suits her. If our first desire and longing is to please God and follow His will, everything else will be added to our life in order to help us to a purposeful destiny and finally hear “this is my beloved daughter, in whom I am well pleased”. (Matthew 3:17)

Aún en el 2021 en muchas personas permanece la idea de que existen trabajos que sólo pueden ser llevados a cabo por hombres, sin embargo, hay mujeres, que por inquietud, necesidad o simple gusto, se han dado a la tarea de demostrar que pueden ser o hacer cualquier labor que se les proponga. Este es el caso de Hilary, Elsa y Zugey, quienes no dudaron en tomar el volante de sus vidas y convertirse en chofer de una empresa de transporte de camiones de carga como lo es Fletes Sotelo. Desde hace dos años, Hilary Ceniceros decidió seguir el ejemplo de su padre, quien siempre la ha apoyado a seguir sus sueños, incluso si éste consiste en manejar un camión.

“Él fue el que me apoyó, iniciando con un curso en la escuelita”, cuenta la joven de 24 años, quien actualmente se desempeña como chofer de cruce, viajando entre México y Estados Unidos, llevando en la caja de su tráiler productos automotrices. Hilary comparte con Visionarias que nunca se ha sentido menos por ser mujer, por lo que aconseja a otras que se den la oportunidad de aprender algo nuevo y cumplir sus sueños, tal y como ella lo hace. “Me he topado con varias mujeres que quieren hacer esto, pero no lo hacen por miedo. Yo lo que siempre les digo es que no dejen pasar una oportunidad así, si es el gusto que tienen, desarróllenlo, vayan a una escuelita y échenle muchas ganas”, comenta la madre de un niño
de 4 años y quien siempre está agradecida con sus padres y su novio por el respaldo que le han dado. Otro caso es el de Elsa Villalobos, para quien las cosas no han sido tan fáciles, pues, aunque le gustaba el mundo de los camiones, lo veía como algo imposible. “Me gustaba mucho y lo miraba como algo imposible, pero aquí en la ciudad se empezó a ver a mucha mujer manejando, se empezó a dar la oportunidad”, dice quien desde hace 4 años comenzó a transportar material para maquiladoras en un camión de quinta rueda. Fueron sus mismos compañeros quienes se mostraron renuentes a compartir las carreteras con ella. “No sé qué hace aquí, debería estar lavando los trastes en su casa”, eran algunos de los comentarios

que escuchaba, sin embargo, eso no truncó su deseo de avanzar en su profesión, por lo que decidió convertirse en foránea y manejar por todo el país. Ahora, menciona Elsa, aunque en Transportes Sotelo sólo hay tres mujeres choferes, es común encontrarse con más compañeras en la carretera, lo cual le emociona mucho, lo mismo que a sus cuatro hijos, quienes se sienten muy orgullosos de ella. “Todo es que le ponga uno un poquito de interés y se enfoque realmente en lo que uno quiere; no escuchar y no ver cosas negativas”, aconseja la chofer. Otra mujer visionaria dentro del mundo de los camiones de carga es Zugey Yassin, quien sólo tiene seis meses dentro de la empresa de Manuel Sotelo, a quien reconoce las oportunidades que ofrece a las mujeres, en su caso por medio de la escuela de manejo. “Es una empresa que sí le da oportunidades a la mujer”, asegura nuestra entrevistada, quien cuenta que su amor a los camiones comenzó gracias a un tío que se dedicaba esto. Sin embargo, ha sido dentro de su familia donde ha escuchado limitantes sobre la profesión que decidió realizar, “me dicen que estoy loquita porque esto es para hombres”, asegura la mujer de 35 años y madre de dos hijos. Actualmente, Zugey busca ser chofer foránea y estar a la par de sus compañeros, en quienes, en su caso, sí ha encontrado apoyo, sobre todo a la hora de aclarar dudas o solucionar un error. Esta experiencia le ha ayudado a dejar sus miedos atrás y enfrentar cualquier situación, por lo que a las demás les dice, “no tenemos límites como mujer, siempre hay una oportunidad para todo y si no nos damos la oportunidad nosotras mismas, no vamos a salir adelante… no hay que limitarnos en nada”. Estas mujeres son el ejemplo de que de la mano de Dios cuando se quiere se puede, incluso en labores que supuestamente están diseñadas para los hombres.
They are masters of their own path Even in 2021, many people still have the idea that there are jobs that can only be carried out by men, however, there are women who out of restlessness, necessity or simple pleasure, have taken on the task of demonstrating that they can be or do any job. This is the case of Hilary, Elsa and Zugey, who did not hesitate to take the wheel of their lives and become drivers of a cargo truck transportation in Fletes Sotelo company. Two years ago, Hilary Ceniceros decided to follow the example of her father, who has always supported her in following her dreams, even if it means driving a trailer. “He was the one who supported me, starting with a course at the little school,” says the 24-year-old, who currently works as a crossing driver, traveling between Mexico and the United States, carrying automotive products in her trailer. Hilary shares with Visionarias that she has never felt less because is a woman, so she advises others to give themselves the opportunity to learn something new and fulfill their dreams, just as she does. “I have come across several women who want to do this, but they don’t do it out of fear. What I always tell them is that they should not let an opportunity like this pass them by, if they like it, develop it, go to a little school and give it a lot of effort,” says the mother of a 4-year-old boy, who is always grateful to her parents and her boyfriend for the support they have given her. Another case is Elsa Villalobos, for whom things have not been so easy, because, although she liked the world of trucking, she saw it as something impossible. “I really liked it and saw it as something impossible, but here in the city we started to see a lot of women driving, and the opportunity began to arise,” says Elsa, who four years ago began transporting material for factories in a fifth-wheel truck.
It was her own colleagues who were reluctant to share the roads with her. “I don’t know what she is doing here, she should be washing the dishes at home”, were some of the comments she heard, however, that did not stop her desire to advance in her profession, so she decided to become a foreigner and drive all over the country. Now, Elsa mentions, although there are only three female drivers at Transportes Sotelo, it’s common to meet more female colleagues on the road, which excites her a lot, as well as her four children, who are very proud of her. “It’s all about putting a little bit of interest and really focusing on what you want; not listening and not seeing negative things,” she advises. Another visionary woman in the world of cargo trucks is Zugey Yassin, who has only been with Manuel Sotelo’s company for six months, and who recognizes the opportunities it offers women, in her case through the driving school. “It is a company that does give opportunities to women,” says our interviewee, who says that her love for trailers began thanks to an uncle who was dedicated to this. However, it has been within her family where she has heard limitations about the profession she decided to pursue, “they tell me I’m crazy because this is for men,” says the 35-year-old mother of two. Currently, Zugey is looking to become a foreign driver and be on a par with her colleagues, in her case, she has found support, especially when it is time to clarify doubts or solve a mistake. This experience has helped her to leave her fears behind and face any situation, so she says to the others, “we have no limits as women, there is always an opportunity for everything and if we do not give ourselves the opportunity, we will not get ahead... we must not limit ourselves in anything”. These women are an example of how, with God’s help, when you want to, you can, even in jobs that are supposedly designed for men.

Diabetes and kidneys Diabetes is one of the main causes of kidney disease, it’s known as a micro complication that affects the small vessels that are in charge of cleaning the blood in our organism when high sugar levels are present. The only way to know if our kidneys have been affected is through a laboratory test that will indicate if there is a loss of protein in the urine. To prevent kidney damage we must have a healthy eating plan, not smoking, and drinking water constantly, as well as exercising at least 30 minutes a day and maintaining a healthy weight. The goals we should follow to avoid such complications are: • Maintain sugar levels between 70mg/dl and 130mg/dl before any meal, less than 180 mg/ dl two hours after eating, and between 90mg/dl to 150mg/dl before bedtime. • Healthy blood pressure less than 120/80mm. • Cholesterol should not exceed 200mg. • Triglyceride levels less than 150mg/dl.

LA DISCRIMINACIÓN HACIA LA MUJER Una cuenta pendiente en nuestro tiempo, es terminar definitivamente con la discriminación hacia la mujer. La noción de la supuesta inferioridad de las mujeres con respecto a los hombres es lo que apuntala esta nefasta actitud, que dicho sea de paso, es ostentada también por muchas de nosotras, quienes se ven a sí mismas como seres de menor valía. Dios nos creó como perfectos complementos en todos los aspectos. El hombre y la mujer están diseñados para completarse mutuamente, sin embargo, las conveniencias socioculturales han obligado a las mujeres a renunciar a su grandeza en aras de cumplir el rol limitado que se le asigna por ser parte del “sexo débil”. Durante siglos, la violencia, el dominio y el control han sido ejercidos contra la mujer para reducirla a una vida de actividad asistencial, sacrificando su propio propósito espiritual y sus talentos. Sin embargo, Jesucristo reivindicó a la mujer, la elevó a niveles de liderazgo e igualdad desafiando su época y su cultura. A Magdalena la salvó del juicio y de la condenación social, la sanó espiritualmente liberándola de siete de-
monios (Lucas 8:2), al resucitar nuestro redentor se manifestó primero a Magdalena y la discipuló colocándola entre sus más destacados seguidores. Así que mienten e ignoran los que afirman que el cristianismo es el culpable de la desigualdad y del maltrato hacia la mujer, pues en presencia de Jesucristo esto jamás sucedió. Relegar a la mujer de las posiciones más importantes en todas las áreas de la actividad humana, ha sido el resultado de siglos de discriminación, de falta de reconocimiento a las tremendas aportaciones de una infinidad de mujeres que no se mencionan en la historia y del sometimiento a un modelo de vida creado por la sociedad misógina. La ordenanza bíblica llama a la mujer a someterse al esposo (no al género masculino) estando el esposo sometido a Dios, para crear una estructura jerárquica espiritual que proteja y cubra a la familia, no para anular y aplastar la expresión del propósito que posee la mujer como individuo. Debemos rogar a Dios para que aumente nuestro discernimiento y que juntos como humanidad destruyamos este yugo que nos afecta a todos.
Discrimination against women One of the pending issues of our time is to put a definitive end to discrimination against women. The notion of the supposed inferiority of women with respect to men is what underpins this unfortunate attitude, which, by the way, is also held by many of us, who see ourselves as beings of lesser value. God created us as perfect complements in all aspects. Men and women are designed to complete each other; however, sociocultural conveniences have forced women to renounce their greatness in order to fulfill the limited role assigned to them as part of the “weaker sex”. For centuries, violence, domination and control have been exercised against women in order to reduce them to a life of care-giving activity, sacrificing their own spiritual purpose and talents. Jesus Christ, however, vindicated women, elevated them to levels of leadership and equality in defiance of their time and culture. He saved Magdalene from judgment and social condemnation, he healed her spiritually by freeing her from seven demons (Luke 8:2), upon
resurrection God manifested himself first to Magdalene and discipled her by placing her among his most prominent followers. So they lie and ignore those who claim that Christianity is guilty of inequality and mistreatment of women, because in the presence of Jesus Christ this never happened. Relegating women from the most important positions in all areas of human activity has been the result of centuries of discrimination, lack of recognition of the tremendous contributions of countless women who are not mentioned in history and submission to a model of life created by the misogynist society. The biblical ordinance calls the woman to submit to the husband (not the male gender) while the husband submits to God, to create a spiritual hierarchical structure that protects and covers the family, not to nullify and crush the expression of the purpose that the woman possesses as an individual. We must pray to God to increase our discernment so that together as humanity we can destroy this yoke that affects us all.

INDEPENDENCIA ECONÓMICA Una de las metas financieras que toda persona quisiera alcanzar es la independencia económica, sin embargo, esta meta se puede o no lograr de acuerdo a nuestro estilo de vida. Cada decisión financiera que vayamos a tomar debe estar basada conforme a la voluntad y propósitos de Dios, es por lo que debemos buscar en oración y pedirle al Espíritu Santo que nos revele su propósito y plan para nuestras vidas. Es importante evaluar el nivel de vida actual, examinar si tenemos una relación saludable con el Señor y si tenemos una perspectiva bíblica apropiada acerca del dinero y las posesiones. El primer paso para la independencia económica es gastar sabiamente teniendo un control efectivo de los gastos e iniciar con un plan de ahorros estableciendo cómo y cuánto guardar. Recordemos que nuestra vida financiera no es una carrera de 100 metros, se requiere disciplina, diligencia y perseverancia a través del tiempo. Un aspecto importante para la independencia económica es evitar la deuda, así que si las tiene considere que ellas nos hacen esclavos y nos alejan de la meta que deseamos alcanzar. El siguiente paso es invertir el excedente que tengamos, gastar menos

Examine varias opciones de inversión, ore e investigue adecuadamente. Asegúrese de evitar inversiones arriesgadas que sean altamente especulativas o fraudulentas, procure colocar sus ahorros en diferentes tipos de inversión, de tal manera que, si algún tipo de inversión no prospera, el otro tipo sí lo hace. Podemos concluir que alcanzar la independencia económica nunca será el deseo de hacer riquezas como única motivación y por encima del llamado de Dios. Las riquezas deben ser un resultado de tomar decisiones correctas dirigidas por Dios para cumplir su propósito en nuestra vida. ¡Toma tu decisión, vale la pena lograr la independencia económica a la forma de Dios!

Economic Independence One of the financial goals that every person would like to achieve is financial independence, however, this goal may or may not be achieved because of our lifestyle. Every financial decision we make should be based on God’s will and purposes, which is why we should prayerfully seek and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal His purpose and plan for our lives. It’s important to evaluate our current standard of living, examine if we have a healthy relationship with the Lord and if we have a proper biblical perspective on money and possessions. The first step to financial independence is to spend wisely by having effective control of expenses and start with a savings plan by establishing how and how much to save. Remember that our financial life is not a 100 meter race, it requires discipline, diligence and perseverance over time.
An important aspect of financial independence is to avoid debt, so you have to consider that they make us slaves and keep us away from the goal we want to achieve. The next step is to invest the surplus we have, spend less and save more. Examine various investment options, pray and research properly. Be sure to avoid risky investments that are highly speculative or fraudulent, try to place your savings in different types of investments, so that if one type of investment doesn’t prosper, the other type does. We can conclude that achieving economic independence will never be the desire to make wealth as the sole motivation and above God’s call. Riches should be a result of making the right decisions directed by God to fulfill His purpose in our life. Make your decision, it’s worth it to achieve economic independence God’s way!

LA MISIÓN APENAS COMIENZA Ocho años después de haber tomado como estandarte la palabra de Dios y de comenzar un camino de arduo trabajo a favor de las mujeres de esta frontera, la licenciada Luz María Sotelo, directora de Mujeres Visionarias, inauguró las oficinas de su agrupación. En pleno Día Internacional de la Mujer y rodeada de su familia, colaboradoras y amigos, la señora Sotelo por fin vio realizado uno de sus sueños, que había sido pospuesto debido a la contingencia sanitaria por el Covid-19. Durante su discurso, además de agradecer a los asistentes habló de los tiempos difíciles por los que las mujeres de todo el mundo atravesamos y la misión que ella se ha propuesto para ayudarlas, no importando su edad. “Mientras Dios nos dé vida, vamos a seguir trabajando para las mujeres”, aseguró frente al público presente, entre ellas la señora Alejandra Cabada, la diputada Marisela Sáenz, la regidora Silvina Sánchez, y su esposo Manuel Sotelo, quien se mostró orgulloso de la meta lograda este día. “Mucho de lo que he hecho es gracias a ti (esposo)... gracias a mis hijas que les he robado su tiempo”, dijo la directora general de la revista Visionarias. Sobre estas oficinas, aseguró que es un espacio de ayuda personalizada, donde las mujeres que necesiten de conseje-

ría psicológica y ayuda médica gratuita, podrán acceder sin problema, incluso mujeres embarazadas en busca de una oportunidad para sus hijos en cuestión de adopción lo podrán hacer. “Nuestra misión es hacer una conciencia colectiva, desde el hogar crear una mejor sociedad y familias consolidadas”, aseguró. Tras sus palabras y las de Alejandra Cabada, Sotelo reconoció el trabajo de sus colaboradoras, quienes han estado al pie del cañón en la elaboración de la revista y en todos los proyectos en los que ha emprendido, entre ellos la Campaña por la Familia. Luego vino el corte del listón y un recorrido por las instalaciones del lugar, donde ofreció bocadillos y regalos a los asistentes. Al concluir la celebración, la señora Sotelo se dijo “muy feliz y agradecida con Dios por proporcionarnos este espacio”, por el que aseguró haber orado mucho y que ahora, al tenerlo, le provocaba “compromiso y satisfacción”. “Aquí estamos para ayudar”, mencionó. Sobre el legado que está construyendo esta mujer visionaria, Manuel Sotelo dijo que “Dios está detrás de su misión”, la cual comenzó hace años cuando ella escuchó el mensaje del Señor que le pedía hacer algo por las mujeres, por lo que él no dudó en apoyar la iniciativa. “Es una persona entregada a Dios, es una persona que tiene un hambre tremenda por sus semejantes y que yo respeto y admiro mucho”, concluyó el empresario, que cree firmemente en que “si cambiamos a una mujer, cambiamos a una familia”. The mission has just begun Eight years after taking the God’s Word as her banner and beginning a path of hard work on behalf of the women of this border, Luz Maria Sotelo, director of Mujeres Visionarias, inaugurated the offices of her group. In the framework of International Women’s Day and surrounded by her family, collaborators and friends, Mrs. Sotelo finally saw one of her dreams come true, which had been postponed due to the Covid-19 health contingency. During her speech, besides thanking the attendees, she spoke about the difficult times that women all over the world are going through and the mission she has set herself to help them, no matter their age. “As long as God gives us life, we will continue working for women,” she assured to the audience present, among them Mrs. Alejandra Cabada, Congresswoman Marisela Saenz, City Council Silvina Sanchez, and her husband Manuel Sotelo, who was proud of the goal achieved this day. “Much of what I have done is thanks to you (husband), thanks to my daughters that I have stolen their time,” said the CEO of Visionarias magazine. About these offices, she assured that it’s a space for personalized help, where women in need of psychological counseling and free medical help, will be able to access without problem, even pregnant women looking for an opportunity for their children in terms of adoption will be able to do so. “Our mission is to create a collective conscience to create a better society and consolidated families”, she assured. After her words and Alejandra Cabada’s, Sotelo recognized her collaborators’ work, who have been at the forefront in the elaboration of the magazine and in all the projects she has undertaken, among them the Campaign for the Family. Then came the cutting of the ribbon and a tour of the facilities, where she offered snacks and gifts to the attendees. At the end of the celebration, Mrs. Sotelo said she was “very happy and grateful to God for providing us with this space”, for which she said she had prayed a lot and that now, having it, gave her “commitment and satisfaction”. “Here we are to help,” she mentioned. About the legacy being built by this visionary woman, Manuel Sotelo said that “God is behind her mission,” which began years ago when she heard the Lord’s message asking her to do something for women, so he did not hesitate to support the initiative. “She is a person dedicated to God, she’s a person who has a tremendous hunger for her fellow men and women and whom I respect and admire very much”, concluded the businessman, who firmly believes that “if we change a woman, we change a family”.
