Querida lectora:
Finalizamos el año y como en cada recta final me toca agradecerles el apoyo que han ofrecido a la revista y a cada uno de los proyectos y compromisos que durante 2021, y pese a las adversidades, como equipo hemos adquirido. Estoy muy agradecida con Dios por todo lo que sucedió y por los momentos de esperanza que nos prometen tiempos mejores, aunque dentro de una “nueva” modalidad de vida. Durante 2021 fuimos adaptándonos a vivir de forma diferente, quizá nos enfrentamos a problemas o pérdidas que marcaron nuestra existencia, pero aun así seguimos aquí, de pie. Así que es importante aprender y valorar la vida que Dios nos da para seguir adelante, tal y como nos lo muestra la palabra del Señor en Proverbios 16:3, que nos anima y dice, “pon todo lo que hagas en las manos de señor, y tus planes tendrán éxito”, el cual queda perfecto con estos tiempos de planes, comienzos, propósitos y anhelos. Antes de terminar, no quiero despedirme sin agradecer tu amistad y la lectura que mes a mes haces de este trabajo; el próximo año, mi equipo y yo, queremos seguir creciendo y avanzando junto contigo hacia una vida llena de bendición. Las colaboradoras de la revista Visionarias te desean una Navidad en amor y armonía, así como un año lleno de victorias. Dear reader: Year ending, and as in every final stretch, I thank your support to the magazine, the projects, and the commitments we acquired during 2021 despite the adversities. I am very grateful to God for everything that has happened and the moments of hope that promise us better times, albeit in a “new” way of life. During 2021 we were adapting to live differently, maybe we faced problems or losses that marked our existence, but we are still here, standing. It is crucial to learn and value the life God gives us to move forward, as the word of the Lord shows us in Proverbs 16:3, which encourages us and says: “put everything you do in the hands of the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” It fits perfectly with these times of plans, beginnings, purposes, and desires. Before ending, I do not want to say goodbye without thanking you for your friendship and reading this work month after month; next year, my team and I want to continue growing and moving forward with you towards a life full of blessings. The collaborators of Visionarias magazine wish you a Christmas in love and harmony, as well as a year full of victories.

WHAT IS CHRISTMAS For me, Christmas time is a beautiful and unique time of the year due to its significant meaning. When we hear it, the simple word makes us happy, even if for some it is nostalgia. If I were to make a compilation of the answers given to the question “What is Christmas for you?”, I believe I would have a great variety of responses, among which we could highlight: it is a time of love, a time of giving, a family moment, flashy decorations at home, gifts, food, lights, rest, trips, celebrations, toys, Christmas gifts or a beautifully decorated tree. However, for others, it can be a time of reflection, moments of happiness, or a moment full of beautiful memories. That is why I decided to look for the meaning of such an important word, “Christmas.” Its etymological origin comes from the word nativity, which means birth. And whose birth are we celebrating? The birth of the one who has impacted throughout the centuries, the one who has transformed hearts, changed the course of the world, and made many lives find the valid reason to live; I am referring to the king of kings and lord lords: Jesus Christ. Long before he was born, the prophet Isaiah wrote about the Messiah to come. In Isaiah 9:6, he shares with us, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” He is the true Christmas; he is the same strong God, eternal Father, born in the hearts of everyone who accepts him as the savior and Lord of his life. That is Christmas; this is what we celebrate in December; Jesus Christ left his throne of glory, to be born in this world, with the most beautiful purpose of giving his life, so that everyone who believes in him will no longer be lost and will have Eternal life. When this December 24, we are sitting at the table with our family to savor a delicious dinner, let us not forget to take time to remember the valid reason for Christmas, which, after all, is Jesus Christ being born in every heart. QUÉ ES LA NAVIDAD POR PRA. XOCHITL CRISTINA ZUÑIGA DE HERNÁNDEZ

La época de Navidad, para mí en lo particular, es un tiempo muy hermoso y especial en el año, debido al significado tan grande que tiene. La simple palabra, al escucharla nos produce alegría, aunque para algunos sea nostalgia. Por ello, si yo hiciera una recopilación de respuestas dadas, por cada una de ustedes, respecto a la pregunta “¿Qué es la navidad para usted?”, creo que tendría una gran variedad de respuestas, entre las cuales se podrían destacar… es época de amor, tiempo de dar, momento familiar, adornos llamativos en casa, regalos, comida, luces, descanso, viajes, festejos, juguetes, aguinaldos o un árbol preciosamente adornado, mientras que para otras puede ser tiempo de reflexión, momentos de felicidad, o bien, un momento lleno de bellos recuerdos. Por lo anterior es que me di a la tarea de buscar el significado de tan importante palabra, “Navidad”. Su origen etimológico proviene de la palabra natividad, que significa nacimiento, y ¿el nacimiento de quién celebramos?, pues el nacimiento de aquel que ha impactado a través de los siglos, el que ha transformado corazones, cambiado el rumbo del mundo y que ha hecho

que muchas vidas encuentren la verdadera razón de vivir, me refiero al rey de reyes y señor de señores: Jesucristo. Mucho antes de que él naciera, el profeta Isaías escribió acerca del mesías que habría de venir, en Isaías 9:6 nos comparte “Porque un niño nos es nacido, hijo nos es dado, y el principado sobre su hombro, y será llamado su nombre, admirable, consejero, Dios fuerte, Padre eterno, príncipe de paz”. Él es la verdadera Navidad, es el mismo Dios fuerte, Padre eterno, naciendo en los corazones de todo aquel que le acepta como el salvador y Señor de su vida. Esto es la Navidad, esto es lo que celebramos en el mes de diciembre, Jesucristo dejando su trono de gloria, para nacer en este mundo, con el más hermoso propósito de entregar su vida, para que todo aquel que en él cree no se pierda más y tenga vida Eterna. Cuando este 24 de diciembre estemos sentadas a la mesa con nuestra familia para saborear una deliciosa cena, no olvidemos tomar un tiempo para recordar el verdadero motivo de la Navidad, que al fin de cuentas es Jesucristo naciendo en cada corazón. ¿En su corazón ha nacido ya el salvador Jesucristo?

TIEMPO DE UNIDAD

Uno de mis pasajes favoritos de Jesús, está en San Juan 17:11, “Por eso te pido que los cuides, y que uses el poder que me diste para que se mantengan unidos, como tú y yo lo estamos”, lo cual nos quiere decir que Jesús anhela que nosotros vivamos la misma unidad que él y el Padre tienen. La unidad debe ser la esencia de los hijos de Dios, y necesitamos vivirla cada día del año. Precisamente la Navidad es esa época donde debemos buscar la reconciliación, promover el encuentro, recordar a los que ya no están y disfrutar de la presencia de nuestros seres amados. Entre familiares y compañeros, debemos dejar de lado las diferencias para gozar buenos momentos que nos permitan vivir de este tiempo de unidad en armonía. Es por esto por lo que te dejaré tres consejos para que hagas de la Navidad un tiempo memorable: 1. Más allá de la convivencia y la celebración, conecta emocionalmente con tu familia. Esto implica tener conversaciones que vayan a lo profundo del corazón, por ejemplo, recuerden momentos especiales que hayan vivido durante el año o hagan una lista de agradecimientos. 2. Involúcrate junto con tu familia en una causa social, donde todos puedan colaborar y gozar de la bendición de dar generosamente al que no tiene. Es este caso, puedes invitar a una familia a cenar a tu casa o regalar un juguete a un niño de escasos recursos. 3. En la preparación del festejo, permite que desde el más pequeño hasta el más grande participe de algún modo. Puede ser con la decoración, la música, la comida, envolver regalos, todo de acuerdo con la edad y capacidad de cada uno. Recuerda que no se trata de perfección, sino de pasarla todos bien. Te aseguro que si pones en práctica estos consejos harás de esta Navidad un verdadero tiempo de unidad. 6

TIME FOR UNITY One of my favorite passages of Jesus is in John 17:11, “Therefore I ask you to take care of them, and use the power you gave me to keep them united, just as you and I are united,” which means that Jesus longs for us to live the same unity that he and the Father have. Unity should be the essence of the children of God, and we need to live it every day of the year. Precisely Christmas is that time when we should seek reconciliation, promote encounters, remember those who are no longer with us, and enjoy the presence of our loved ones. Among family members and colleagues, we must put aside differences to enjoy good times that allow us to live this time of unity in harmony. That is why I will leave you with three tips to make Christmas a memorable time: 1. Beyond the conviviality and celebration,
connect emotionally with your family. It involves having conversations deep into the heart; for example, remember special moments you have lived during the year or make a list of gratitude. 2. Get involved with your family in a social cause, where everyone can collaborate and enjoy the blessing of giving generously to those who don’t have. In this case, you can invite a family to your home for dinner or give a toy to a poor child. 3. In the preparation of the celebration, allow the youngest to the oldest to participate somehow. It can be with the decoration, music, food, gift wrapping, all according to the age and capacity of each one. Remember that it is not about perfection but about having a good time together. I assure you that if you put these tips into practice, you will make this Christmas a real-time of unity.

¿DÓNDE PASAR ESTAS FECHAS?

WHERE TO SPEND THESE DAYS? We are in the month of the most special festivities of the year, when a simple and important question comes to our mind, where are we going to spend these days? If we were to survey some couples, we would be surprised by the answers we would get, as some would be reality and others what one of us would like it to be. Perhaps among the answers we would find travel, an activity that many people long for, especially now that there are restrictions due to the pandemic. They would ask themselves if inside or outside the country, going to a cold or hot place, or if they would do it alone or with company, choices that many would not stress about, because the important thing would be to travel. There are also those who might think that it is better to stay in the city, in a good restaurant by candlelight and having a delicious meal; while a few

others would simply respond that the important thing is to reunite with families. However, there are couples who, when they ask themselves where will we spend these dates, would conclude that it is not time to travel, nor to go to a restaurant or visit other families, but that it is time to stay at home with your loved ones, with your children. It is time to take care of yourself and others, to be together as a family, reflecting on the true reason for Christmas and the importance of Jesus Christ. It is time that on these special nights we teach our children that Jesus Christ can be born in their hearts if we accept Him as Savior and Lord, and that in this New Year they can begin with a new heart that is forgiven and transformed. Now is when we should be in His presence, praising and learning from Him. And where will you spend these days?
Estamos en el mes de las festividades más especiales del año, cuando viene a nuestra mente una sencilla e importante pregunta, ¿dónde vamos a pasar estas fechas? Si hiciéramos una encuesta a algunos matrimonios, nos sorprenderíamos de las respuestas que obtendríamos, pues algunas serían realidad y otras lo que a alguno de los dos le gustaría que fuera. Quizá entre las respuestas nos encontraríamos con viajar, una actividad que muchos anhelan, sobre todo ahora que debido a la pandemia existen restricciones. Se preguntarían si dentro o fuera del país, ir a un lugar frío o caluroso, o si lo harían solos o en compañía, elecciones que a muchos no estresarían, pues lo importante sería viajar. También están los que podrían pensar en que es mejor quedarse en la ciudad, en un buen restaurante a la luz de las velas y cenando un delicioso platillo; mientras que otros cuantos simplemente responderían que lo importante es reunirse con las familias. Sin embargo, hay matrimonios que al preguntarse ¿dónde pasaremos estas fechas? concluirían que no es tiempo de viajar, ni de ir a un restaurante o visitar a otras familias, sino que es hora de permanecer en casa con los tuyos, con los que tanto amas, con los hijos. Es tiempo de cuidarse y cuidar a los demás, de estar juntos en familia, reflexionando acerca del verdadero motivo de la Navidad y la importancia de Jesucristo. Es momento de que en estas noches tan especiales enseñemos a nuestros hijos que Jesucristo puede nacer en sus corazones si le aceptamos como salvador y Señor, y que en este Año Nuevo se puede iniciar con un nuevo corazón perdonado y transformado. Ahora es cuando debemos estar en su presencia, alabando y aprendiendo de él. ¿Y usted donde pasará estas fechas?

HACIENDO CONCIENCIA DE TU AÑO

El 2020 fue un año que muchos de nosotros no quisiéramos recordar, pero es un año que estará presente en la historia. Pasamos al año 2021 con la esperanza de algo nuevo y nos planteamos muchos objetivos. Algunos de nosotros hacemos los famosos “propósitos de año nuevo”, sin embargo, muchos de estos “deseos” se quedan en el camino, aunque, quizá algunos se retomen para el siguiente año. La realidad, es que nuestros objetivos no suceden de la noche a la mañana. Las cosas que valen la pena requieren trabajo, esfuerzo y perseverancia, hasta que sean hábitos y posteriormente se conviertan en un estilo 1 0

de vida. Las batallas que enfrentamos no son ajenas a ningún ser humano. El desánimo, la desesperanza, la impotencia y la frustración son algunos enemigos que todos enfrentamos. El descontento es un enemigo que se roba la paz diaria, pero no el aprendizaje de la temporada. No te sientas solo si ha sido un año difícil, todos estamos corriendo en esta vida juntos. Si te has esforzado continua porque no hay esfuerzo que se quede sin recompensa, sobre todo, recuerda que Dios nos ha dado la gracia, que sus misericordias son nuevas cada mañana y que él es realmente quien pelea nuestras batallas.
2020 was a year that many of us would not want to remember, but it is a year that will be present in history. We move into 2021 with the hope of something new, and we set many goals. Some of us make the famous “New Year’s resolutions”; however, many of these “wishes” falls by the wayside, although perhaps some of them will be taken up again for the following year. The reality is that our goals do not happen overnight. Worthwhile things require work, effort, and perseverance until they become habits and become a way of life. The battles we face are not foreign to any human being. Discouragement, hopelessness, helplessness, and frustration are some of the enemies we all face. Discontentment is an enemy that steals the daily peace but not the learning of the season. Don’t feel alone if it has been a challenging year; we are all running this life together. If you have struggled, continue because no effort goes unrewarded; above all, remember that God has given us grace, that his mercies are new every morning, and that he is indeed the one who fights our battles.
Listen to what I command you: Be strong and of good courage. Fear not, nor be dismayed: for I am the Lord thy God, and will be with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9

Nacida en el seno de una familia cristiana, para Habigail Sánchez el ayudar a los demás y dar a conocer la palabra de Dios siempre han sido acciones cotidianas, por lo que hasta el día de hoy las desempeña e incluso ayuda a otros a también realizarlas. Originaria de Monclova, Coahuila, Dora Habigail Sánchez Castillo cuenta que desde niña fue parte de las actividades de sus padres, quienes se dedicaban a servir a la iglesia y a comenzar nuevas obras en pequeños pueblos y rancherías. “Yo nací en un hogar cristiano y mis papás siempre me inculcaron la Palabra de Dios, la Biblia, la iglesia… mis papás siempre estuvieron sirviendo”, cuenta la mujer visionaria del mes de diciembre. Agrega que fue gracias al ejemplo que vio, casi desde que nació, que desde muy pequeña recibió el llamado del Señor. “Todo eso fue parte del llamado que marcó mi vida, que Dios usó desde el vientre de mi mamá”, comenta. Es gracias a su historia dentro de una familia al servicio de Cristo y a su matrimonio con un Ismael Rojo, que actualmente sigue cumpliendo con la misión que el Señor le encomendó, la de apoyar y capacitar a otros que, como ella, buscan llevar el Evangelio a las zonas más remotas del estado. Nos comparte que actualmente y gracias a la asociación civil que estableció con su familia, Fomentando Cambios en la Vida, patrocina a dos misiones, la primera, la de la familia Hernández Limón, que está en la Sierra Tarahumara dando a conocer la palabra de Dios a todo aquel que quiera conocerla. El otro caso es el de Cristian Peña, un estudiante de Antropología y Lingüística, quien, entre sus planes, está traducir la Biblia al rarámuri para que así más personas puedan entender la historia que Jesucristo tiene que contar. Sin embargo, no todo su trabajo es el de capacitar misioneros que lleven el evangelio a lugares donde

no se conoce, Habigail y su familia también establecieron un comedor infantil en esta frontera, en la colonia Misiones del Real. Sobre este espacio, la madre de Ismeraí Habigail y Job Ismael nos cuenta que se estableció en 2010 bajo el nombre de Sembradores y que en él trabajan todos los sábados en beneficio de niños de escasos recursos o afectados por la violencia. Cada sábado, Habigail, junto a un grupo de voluntarios, ofrece desayuno a los menores, además de clases de enseñanza bíblica y manualidades, así como una actividad física y en ocasiones hasta inglés. Las instalaciones de Sembradores también han servido de preparatoria para personas adultas, agrega, quien dice que no hay nada más satisfactorio en su labor que ver a los primeros niños a los que apoyó convertidos en hombres de familia. Y aunque pudiera parecer mucho, para la pastora aún vienen nuevos proyectos, entre ellos la construcción de un alberge, un plan que además de emocionada, la tiene enfocada. “Lo más importante en estos tiempos es que nos enfoquemos en el verdadero mensaje que es Cristo Jesús en la vida de las personas y en las familias”, menciona.

HER MISSION IS TO BRING THE WORD OF GOD Born into a Christian family, for Habigail Sanchez, helping others and spreading the word of God has always been daily actions, so she carries them out and even helps others do the same. Born from Monclova, Coahuila, Dora Habigail Sánchez Castillo says that since she was a child, she was part of her parents’ activities, who were dedicated to serving the church and starting new works in small towns and rancherías. “I was born in a Christian home, and my parents always instilled in me the Word of God, the Bible, the church... my parents were always serving,” says the visionary woman of December. She adds that thanks to the example she saw, almost from the time she was born, she received the Lord’s call from a very young age. “All of that was part of the call that marked my life, that God used from my mother’s womb,” she says. Thanks to her history within a family at the service of Christ and her marriage to Ismael Rojo, she continues to fulfill the mission that the Lord entrusted to her, supporting and training others who seek to take the Gospel to the most remote areas of the state. Thanks to the civil association established with her family, Fomentando Cambios en la Vida, she sponsors two missions, the first one with the Hernández Limón family, who gives the word of God to anyone who wants to know it in the Sierra Tarahumara. The other case is that of Cristian Peña, a student of Anthropology and Linguistics, who, among his plans, is translating the Bible into Rarámuri so that more people can understand the story that Jesus Christ has to tell. However, not all her work is to train missionaries to take the Gospel to places where it is unknown; Habigail and her family also established a children’s dining room on this border, in the Misiones del Real neighborhood. About this space, the mother of Ismeraí Habigail and Job Ismael tells us that it was established in 2010 under the name of Sembradores and that they work there every Saturday for the benefit of children with limited resources or affected by violence. Every Saturday, Habigail, together with a group of volunteers, offers breakfast to the children, Bible and handicraft classes, physical activity, and sometimes even English. The Sembradores facilities have also served as a preparatory school for adults, she adds, who says that there is nothing more satisfying in her work than seeing the first children she supported become family men. And although it may seem like a lot for the pastor,
there are still new projects to come, among them the construction of a shelter, a plan that excites her and keeps her focused. “The most important thing in these times is that we focus on the true message of Jesus Christ in the lives of people and families,” she says. EL FASCINANTE MUNDO DE LA EPIGENÉTICA POR BRENDA MÁRQUEZ ¿Cuándo te preguntes, al terminar el año lo estaré haciendo bien? La pregunta viene porque definitivamente quieres mejorar. Mas que bien o mal, siempre escucha tu cuerpo, ¡tu cuerpo siempre sabe!, quisiéramos darte a conocer que es el fascinante mundo de la epigenética. Permite explicar el modo en que fenómenos/procesos no dependientes de la secuencia de nucleótidos, incluyendo la dieta, la inflamación, el estrés o la edad, pueden regular la expresión génica. De esta manera, se espera en un futuro próximo la integración del conocimiento sobre epigenética y nutrición para llevar a cabo una intervención nutricional personalizada. THE FASCINATING WORLD OF EPIGENETICS When you ask yourself at the end of the year, am I doing well? The question comes because you want to improve. EL DISEÑO DEL SERVICIO EN JESÚS POR PRA. ARACELI CÉSAR De todos los ejemplos de servicio que he visto, el que más me impresiona es el del amado salvador Jesús, pues su vida en sí, es un ejemplo para nosotros sus seguidores. En el pasaje de Juan 13, él nos narra una de las muchas formas de servicio, así que para conocer más deberás leer el resto del evangelio. Por ejemplo, “lavar los pies” parece que es una actividad propia de la servidumbre, sin embargo, no signfica que todos tenemos que hacer esto, sino que representa la importancia de servir desde actos simples y sencillos, hasta acciones mayores e importantes. Se trata de servir cada día en la actividad, rol, profesión o llamado que tengamos qué hacer, lo cual claro que requiere de ser humilde, obediente y fiel al Señor, quien se agrada al hacerlo. Nunca este servicio ha de ser para vanagloria o presunción, sino para su gloria. Yo les he dado un ejemplo, para que ustedes hagan lo mismo que yo les he hecho” San Juan 13:15

THE DESIGN OF SERVICE IN JESUS Of all the examples of service that I have seen, the one that impresses me the most is that of the beloved savior Jesus, for his life itself is an example for us, his followers. In the passage of John 13, he narrates one of the many forms of service, so to know more, you should read the rest of the gospel. For example, “washing feet” seems to be an activity proper to servitude; however, it does not mean that we all have to do this, but it represents the importance of serving from short and straightforward acts to significant actions.
I have given you an example so that you may do the same as I have done to you.” St. John 13:15 It is about serving every day in the activity, role, profession, or calling that we have to do, which of course requires being humble, obedient, and faithful to the Lord, who is pleased to do so. This service should never be for vainglory or presumption but his glory.

HOW TO SUCCEED IN MY FINANCIAL GOALS From the biblical point of view, money and riches are a blessing. Through them, the believer can supply all his needs, give tithes and offerings to the Lord, and share with those who have less and suffer some need. But if we let money, riches, or material goods be the Lord of our life, they will immediately control us and dominate our actions. Therefore, the warning of the Lord Jesus is unequivocal, that we “do not love riches” and that we “do not put our hope in that which is destroyed.” (Matthew 6:19-21) He wants to bless the fruit of our labor, but for that, we must be good stewards of what He puts in our hands. It is essential to have reasonable goals to save and invest the resources he gives us to multiply them.

• Provision for family and children’s education. • To have financial freedom and be able to serve the Lord longer. • To get out of debt and have savings for emergencies. • To have the necessary capital to develop a business • Investing for old age and leaving an inheritance. • To be generous with those who have less

action steps: Writing down your goals serves as a point of reference and helps you not forget or divert your focus. Verify and develop a burning desire and conviction to achieve them: A passion for achieving something makes all the difference when obstacles or adversity come your way. Commit to achieving your goals: Commitment is the practice of staying with enthusiasm, determination, and perseverance. Be sure of yourself, but examine that you are in God’s will: Be responsible, take control, but always verify if you are not violating any biblical principle. Identify benefits, obstacles, necessary information, and people who can guide you: This helps us redouble our efforts when opposition comes. Establish a start, review, and completion date: Establishing these dates makes the difference between a simple yearning and a tangible goal.

• Ser generosos con los que menos tienen
Desde el punto de vista bíblico el dinero y las riquezas son una bendición. Por medio de ellas el creyente puede suplir todas sus necesidades, dar al Señor los diezmos y ofrendas, y además, compartir con los que menos tienen y padecen algún tipo de necesidad. Pero si dejamos que el dinero, las riquezas o bienes materiales sean el señor de nuestra vida, inmediatamente nos controlarán y dominarán nuestras acciones. Por eso, la advertencia del Señor Jesús es muy clara, que “no amemos las riquezas” y que “no pongamos nuestra esperanza en aquello que se destruye”. (Mateo 6:19-21) Él quiere bendecir el fruto de nuestro trabajo, pero para eso debemos ser buenos administradores de lo que pone en nuestras manos. Por eso es importante tener metas aceptables para ahorrar e invertir los recursos que él nos da para multiplicarlos.
Pasos para el éxito de nuestras metas financieras:

• Establece un objetivo: Una idea clara de lo que quieres hacer, alcanzar o llegar a ser, es decir, cristaliza tus pensamientos, ideas y sueños. • Escribe tus metas y pasos de acción: Escribir tus metas sirve como punto de referencia, y te ayuda a no olvidar o desviar tu enfoque. • Verifica y desarrolla un ardiente deseo y convicción para alcanzarlas: Una pasión por lograr algo, marca la diferencia cuando llegan los obstaculos o la adversidad. • Comprométete a alcanzar tus metas: Compromiso es la práctica de permanecer con entusiasmo, determinación y perseverancia. • Ten seguridad de ti mismo, pero examina que estás en la voluntad de Dios: Hazte responsable, toma el control, pero siempre verifica si no estás violando algún principio bíblico. • Identifica beneficios, obstáculos, información necesaria y personas que te pueden orientar: Esto nos ayuda a redoblar esfuerzos cuando llega la oposición. • Establece una fecha de inicio, revisión y cumplimiento: Establecer estas fechas marca la difrencia entre un simple anhelo y una meta real.

LOS HÁBITOS DE JESÚS

Cultivar un buen hábito para algunos puede ser muy difícil, pues esto implica cambios, sin embargo, puedes comenzar con algo que no signifique un gran cambio, y después ir aumentando el nivel. Una herramienta para cultivar buenos hábitos es una buena literatura, por lo que en esta ocasión te recomiendo el libro “Los Hábitos de Jesús”, escrito por Jay Dennis y publicado por la editorial Mundo Hispano. En este libro, Dennis da una mirada profunda a las costumbres de nuestro Señor, con el único fin de tratar de ser como él, de identificar las disciplinas que caracterizaron la vida de Jesús y así poder llevar una vida basada en buenos hábitos en beneficio de nuestra vida. Esta lectura, además de crearnos
un buen hábito, nos ayuda a pensar y reflexionar qué haría Jesús en mi lugar en determinada situación o circunstancia. Como creyentes e hijos de Dios podemos cultivar aquellos hábitos espirituales que se reflejarán en nuestro diario vivir, en lo práctico y hasta en los pequeños detalles, esos con los que Jesús predicaba y ponía el ejemplo. Entre los más conocidos de nuestro salvador, están la oración, el saber escuchar, ser agradecidos, obedecer, decir la verdad, demostrar aprecio, ser bondadoso, ayunar y, sobre todo, cumplir la palabra de Dios, entre otros. Así que la vida apresurada no te limite a empezar una vida de hábitos que te acerquen más a Cristo. No importa la edad, condición económica o académica, los hábitos de Jesús son para cada uno de nosotros que desee honrarlo y glorificarlo en nuestro diario caminar.

Cultivating a good habit can be very difficult for some because it implies changes; however, you can start with something that does not mean a significant difference and then increase the level. One tool to cultivate good habits is good literature, so this time I recommend the book “The Habits of Jesus,” written by Jay Dennis and published by Mundo Hispano. In this book, Dennis takes a deep look at the habits of our Lord, with the sole purpose of trying to be like him, to identify the disciplines that characterized the life of Jesus and thus be able to lead a life based on good habits for the benefit of our life. Besides creating a good habit, this reading helps us think and reflect on what Jesus would do in my place in a given situa-

tion or circumstance. As believers and children of God, we can cultivate those spiritual habits that will be reflected in our daily life, practical, and even in the small details, those with which Jesus preached and set the example. Among the best known of our savior is prayer, listening, being grateful, obedience, telling the truth, showing appreciation, being kind, fasting, and, above all, keeping God’s word, among others. So do not let a hurried life limit you from starting a life of habits that will bring you closer to Christ. No matter the age, economic or academic condition, the practices of Jesus are for each of us who wish to honor and glorify Him in our daily walk.
