gradecida, dichosa y contenta, así me siento. Gracias a Dios, por que regresamos con nuestra revista impresa, transformada y con un innovador diseño. Se que todos los cambios son buenos y este mes de marzo por fin mostraremos a ustedes todos aquellos en los que hemos trabajado, sin dejar de lado la perspectiva espiritual que nos caracteriza tanto. En esta edición nos enfocamos en dos fechas muy significativas, la conmemoración del Día Internacional de la Mujer y el Día de la Familia, y además presumimos la presencia de la pareja presidencial de nuestra Ciudad Juárez, en la sección Conectando con el Mundo, lo cual obviamente nos honra. Ten la seguridad que en estos temas, así como en toda la revista (y por supuesto, en cada edición) hay mucho amor y compromiso de cada uno de los colaboradores de Visionarias, quienes esperamos que cada página de este proyecto sean de tu agrado. ADVICE FOR SUCCESS Beyond something temporary, if we follow a life attached to God, success is a treasure of joy and peace of heart. We find many definitions for success in the world, which, in general, is simply something temporary or ephemeral. However, in the Bible, we find that success is a great treasure given to us according to God’s style, who makes that moment last, giving us joy and peace of heart. For this to happen, it is necessary to follow a series of recommendations that will help us achieve the greatest success in our lives. 1. To have a divine and spiritual vision of life, in addition to the Bible as a manual. 2. Know the Lord’s purpose and His plans for good. How many of God’s promises do you know for your personal, family and professional life? 3. Cultivate the assurance of being in His will, according to His word. Don’t forget that being obedient and faithful to the Lord brings great benefits here and in the eternal. 4. Recognize that the Creator gave life for His glory (not ours) and guard your heart against all pride and arrogance, for they bring down. 5. All that is done and said must be in his strength and power for him. When we put these and other spiritual actions into practice, we will not only be successful (divine prosperity), but we will leave a good example and testimony to others, including family. We may be forgotten, but our good works will continue, and many will be inspired in their life and faith in Jesus.

PARA EL ÉXITO MÁS ALLÁ DE ALGO EFÍMERO, SI SEGUIMOS UNA VIDA APEGADA A DIOS, EL ÉXITO ES UN GRAN TESORO DE GOZO Y PAZ EN EL CORAZÓN POR ARACELI CÉSAR ISUNZA
E
n el mundo encontramos muchas definiciones para el éxito, el cual, en general, es simplemente algo temporal o efímero. Sin embargo, en la Biblia hallamos que el éxito es un gran tesoro, que se nos da según el estilo de Dios, quien hace que ese momento perdure, nos dé gozo y paz al corazón. Para que eso suceda es necesario seguir una serie de recomendaciones que nos ayudarán a lograr el mayor éxito de nuestras vidas. 1. Tener una visión divina y espiritual de la vida, además de la Biblia como manual. 2. Conocer el propósito del Señor y sus planes de bien. ¿Cuántas promesas de Dios conoces para tu vida perso-
nal, familiar y profesional? 3. Cultivar la seguridad de estar en su voluntad, conforme a su palabra. No olvides que ser obediente y fiel al Señor trae grandes beneficios aquí y en lo eterno. 4. Reconocer que el creador dio la vida para su gloria (no la nuestra) y guardar el corazón de todo tipo de soberbia y orgullo, pues éstos derriban. 5. Todo lo que se haga y diga ha de ser para él. En su fuerza y poder. Cuando pongamos en práctica éstas y otras acciones espirituales, no sólo tendremos éxito (prosperidad divina), sino dejaremos un buen ejemplo y testimonio a otros, incluyendo a la familia. Podrán olvidarnos, pero nuestras buenas obras seguirán y muchos serán inspirados en su vida y fe en Jesús.

La mujer VIRTUOSA MANTENER UN DESEO DE CRECIMIENTO SIN PERDER DE VISTA NUESTROS IDEALES NOS LLEVARÁ A ALCANZAR LAS VIRTUDES DESEADAS POR DIOS POR MARTHA PADILLA
E
l poderoso efecto que una persona virtuosa causa en los demás, es la mayor evidencia de que la excelencia moral es impulsora de acciones rectas y dignas. En el libro de Proverbios, capítulo 31, versículos del 10 al 31, es descrita una mujer que representa el bien, la verdad, la sabiduría, la prudencia, la fidelidad y la bondad, entre otras virtudes, mismas que logran ser de gran influencia en su entorno familiar para construir prosperidad y estabilidad en su hogar. “Mujer virtuosa, ¿Quién la hallará? Porque su estima sobrepasa largamente a la de las piedras preciosas”, leemos al principio del pasaje bíblico, revelándonos que todas poseemos en potencia tales virtudes y la capacidad para llevar nuestros valores y virtudes. Estar dispuestas a ello, conscientes de lo que anhelamos, manteniendo un

deseo permanente de crecimiento y mejoramiento sin perder de vista nuestros ideales, nos llevará sin duda a alcanzar las virtudes de aquella que fue llamada virtuosa. Eso se logra con la presencia del Espíritu Santo en nuestras vidas, sin el cual nada es posible y quien aporta la esencia divina que nos capacita y nos transforma de una manera delicada pero evidente, con la voluntad de Dios quien al escogernos nos dota de todos los elementos necesarios para ser plenamente transformadas a su semejanza con nuestro esfuerzo humano, aunque modesto e imperfecto. Porque no basta con “hacer el bien” como lo señala este pasaje, las virtudes sobrepasan todas las obras de esfuerzo personal. La verdadera bendición es ser un testimonio de amor y armonía en nuestro hogar, pasando el legado de mujer a mujer por generaciones, siendo de impacto en nuestra familia como en nuestro entorno.
Maintaining a desire for growth and improvement without losing sight of our ideals will lead us to attain the virtues desired by God. The powerful effect a virtuous person has on others is the most significant evidence that moral excellence is the driving force behind righteous and worthy actions. In the book of Proverbs, chapter 31, verses 10 to 31, a woman represents goodness, truth, wisdom, prudence, faithfulness and kindness, among other virtues, which are of significant influence in her family environment to build prosperity and stability in her home. “Who will find a virtuous woman? For her esteem far surpasses that of precious stones”, we read at the beginning of the biblical passage, revealing to us that we all potentially possess such virtues and the ability to carry our values and integrity. Being willing to do so, aware of what we long for, maintaining a permanent desire for growth and improvement without losing sight of our ideals will undoubtedly lead us to attain the virtues of the one who was called virtuous. This is achieved with the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives, without whom nothing is possible and who brings the divine essence that empowers and transforms us in a delicate but evident way, with the will of God who by choosing us endows us with all the necessary elements to be fully transformed into his likeness with our human effort, although modest and imperfect. For it is not enough to “do good” as this passage points out, virtues surpass all works of personal effort. The true blessing is to be a testimony of love and harmony in our home, passing the legacy from woman to woman for generations, having an impact on our family and our environment.

L
as compañías aseguradoras se basan en los riesgos a los que el cliente está expuesto, y de acuerdo con esto, le brinda el producto que se ajusta a su necesidad; la finalidad es darle la seguridad y la protección para que esté tranquilo. Sin duda el matrimonio es el plan de Dios para el hombre. Él vio a Adán solo y dijo que eso no era bueno, por lo que creó a la mujer (Génesis 2:18); sin embargo, es una relación que no está exenta de peligros, al contrario, creo que hay un enemigo buscando cada día dañarlo. Para poder responder a la pregunta “¿cómo proteger mi matrimonio?”, diría que la mejor manera es conociendo los riesgos a los que estamos expuestos desde el primer día de casados y establecer un plan de respuesta ante situaciones concretas. Prever el peligro y evitarlo es actuar con inteligencia; hay que ser muy tonto para no preverlo ni evitarlo. (Proverbios 27:12 TLA).

LAS SEÑALES Hay matrimonios que pasan años ignorando señales de alarma, corriendo el riesgo de pérdida total, por creer que el problema se arreglará por sí solo. Así que me gustaría hablar un poco de cuatro riesgos que enfrentamos todos los matrimonios para que puedas hacer tu propio análisis y crear un plan de acción si quizás hay uno o más en tu relación: 1.
El riesgo a la monotonía, es de los que menos notamos, porque es muy fácil llevar la relación en piloto automático. Pone en riesgo el romanticismo, el amor, la creatividad y la sexualidad. 2. El riesgo de terceras personas, cómo familiares y amistades que llegan a tomar un papel demasiado importante dentro del matrimonio y que ponen en riesgo la autonomía de la pareja

Undoubtedly, marriage is God's plan for man. THE SIGNS Some marriages spend years ignoring warning signs, running the risk of a total loss, believing that the problem will fix itself. So I'd like to talk a bit about four risks that all marriages face so you can do your analysis and create a plan of action if perhaps there is one or more in your relationship: 1.

Tomar decisiones cada uno por individual, buscando primero mi bienestar antes que el de mi cónyuge pone en riesgo la unidad a la que fuimos llamados, el trabajo en equipo, la confianza, la convivencia, el compañerismo y el amor. Tu matrimonio es la relación más importante después de tu relación con Dios, y es de sabios prevenir el peligro. Hoy puedes proteger tu matrimonio tomando acciones frente a los riesgos que Dios te ha mostrado, y estás a tiempo de prever alguna situación que pueda dañar a tu familia.

Individualism is what we call the "bachelor syndrome" when we forget that we were called to be one. Making decisions as individuals seeking my well-being before my spouse jeopardizes the unity and the work we were called to make in teamwork, trust, coexistence, companionship and love. Your marriage is the most crucial relationship after your relationship with God, and it is wise to guard against danger. Today you can protect your marriage by taking action against the risks that God has shown you, and you are in time to foresee any situation that may harm your family.

a juventud es una etapa muy bonita en la vida de cada ser humano, pues es cuando se comienza a razonar de una forma más madura, aunque también se sigue soñando como niño. Es una etapa de constantes cambios esenciales en la búsqueda de la identidad, la cual podemos definir como un conjunto de características propias de una persona o de un grupo que permiten distinguirlos del resto. Es importante decir que durante la juventud también se está en la búsqueda constante de un lugar como miembro de la sociedad. La búsqueda y elección de la identidad tiene una importancia vital, ya que a través de ella adquirimos todo lo que nos define como individuos, por lo que es importante entender que no se trata de encajar, si no de revisar la variedad de valores, para así saber si podemos corresponder o no. En esta etapa podemos conocernos a nosotros mismos y tener un autoconcepto que nos permite saber cuál es el rol que interpretamos dentro de la sociedad. Puedo entender que hay ocasiones en que se puede sentir que algo no encaja, que no nos hemos encontrado y peor aún, no saber qué hacer para salir de tal situación, pero cabe recordar que el impacto que la identidad tiene en la vida de un joven es importante porque Dios la diseño, lo que quiere decir que tenemos un Padre maravilloso que nos planeó desde el vientre de nuestra madre. Somos parte de su plan y de sus propósitos eternos, él nos ama incondicionalmente. Así que, si estás en esta etapa, deseo que Dios pueda guiarte y puedas sentirte completa, porque es lo que el Padre desea para ti.

Youth is a beautiful stage in the life of every human being because it is when we begin to reason more maturely, although we also continue to dream as a child. It is a stage of constant essential changes in the search for identity, which we can define as a set of characteristics of a person or a group that distinguish them from the rest. It is essential to say that there is also a constant search for a place during youth as a member of society. The search and choice of identity have vital importance since we acquire everything that defines us as individuals through it, so it is essential to understand that it is not about fitting in, but to review the variety of values, so we know if we can correspond or not. At this stage, we can know ourselves and have a self-concept that allows us to know what role we play in society. I can understand that there are times when we may feel that something does not fit, that we have not found ourselves, and even worse, not knowing what to do to get out of such a situation. But it is essential to remember that the impact that identity has in a young person’s life is significant because God designed it, which means that we have a wonderful Father who planned us from our mother’s womb. We are part of his plan and his eternal purposes. He loves us unconditionally. So, if you are at this stage, I wish that God can guide you and feel complete because that is what the Father desires for you.

CRUZ PÉREZ CUÉLLAR Y RUBÍ ENRÍQUEZ, SE SINCERAN CON VISIONARIAS SOBRE SU TRABAJO A FAVOR DE LA COMUNIDAD

iez años han pasado desde que Cruz Pérez Cuéllar y Rubí Enríquez decidieron emprender un camino juntos, mismo que los ha llevado a formar una sólida familia y a trabajar en solucionar los problemas y necesidades de una de las ciudades más complicadas del mundo. Cada uno desde sus trincheras, se muestran para Visionarias como muy pocas veces lo han hecho, como pareja y cabezas de familia que van más allá de ser un ejemplo para los ciudadanos de “la frontera más bonita del mundo”. En entrevista, los Pérez Enríquez nos hablan de su trabajo, la familia y como Dios es pieza fundamental de todo lo que hacen en sus vidas. La pareja concuerda que la familia es su fortaleza y el motor principal de sus acciones. Para el alcalde de Ciudad Juárez, es un refugio, el cual le ayuda a “enfrentar mil problemas… llegas a tu casa y ahí te refugias, te concentras, te llenas de energía, obviamente el amor, es fundamental para estar claro”. Por su parte, Rubí Enríquez, presidenta del DIF Municipal, afirma que “la familia es quién eres, si no tienes una familia sólida en tu casa difícilmente sales a las calles a avanzar, a hacer grandes cosas”. Y precisamente, teniendo dicho motor, ambos salen cada día a trabajar en favor de la comunidad juarense. Para la señora Rubí es un reto nuevo que la tiene concentrada y muy pendiente. “Es algo muy padre, muy bonito, yo nunca había trabajado en la administración y ahora estar aquí apoyándolo y él a mí; tener las mismas pláticas, compartir las mismas cosas es algo maravilloso”, comenta ella. Por su parte el presidente se dice contento y gratamente sorprendido “porque Rubí, a diferencia de un servidor que siempre ha estado en la vida pública, ella nunca había estado, nunca es nunca. Siempre me ayudó y todo, pero no es lo mismo ya una responsabilidad como la del DIF”. “Está entregada completamente, es una mujer muy sensible, uno se da cuenta que le llegan los problemas al corazón, hasta adentro, está entregada en hacer una buena obra. Es una muestra de amor muy grande”, afirma.
LA MUJER, UNA RESERVA MORAL El propio presidente aseguraba que en su gestión lo más importante es poder implementar una política transversal, es un hombre que valora mucho a la mujer.
“Si queremos hacer un cambio va a tener que ser a través de una política que trascienda a todo el Municipio y a todas las direcciones, y estamos en ese proceso”. Pérez Cuéllar profundiza y asegura que “que la mujer es la reserva moral de la sociedad, un poco en detrimento de nosotros los hombres, lo digo, es cierto, estamos para servirles, estamos trabajando para dejarles una mejor ciudad, trabajamos en su seguridad”. Agrega que “en el caso de las mujeres de la industria maquiladora, (trabajamos) en alumbrar todos los caminos que las llevan a su trabajo. El reto de nosotros es alumbrar su camino de aquí a que termine esta administración”.
SU INSPIRACIÓN Para lograr todo lo que se han propuesto, tanto como pareja, como funcionarios municipales, Cruz y Rubí se inspiran en el amor por México y su familia, a la cual buscan dejarles una ciudad más limpia, más segura y ordenada, comenta el alcalde, quien presume su pasión por el país que lo vio nacer.
SE HABLA DE RELIGIÓN Otra de sus inspiraciones es Dios, de quien a pesar de sus puestos públicos no dudan en hablar, se describe como un hombre de fe. “Lo he dicho siempre, en público y en privado, creo en Dios, en nuestro Señor Jesucristo, soy un hombre de fe”. “Respeto a todos, siempre ha habido una mala visión del estado laico. El estado laico se nos quiere vender como que no puedes profesar o hablar de Dios en una oficina pública, y claro que se puede. El estado laico, lo que significa es el respeto a todos, y aquí en la Presidencia tenemos que atender a todos. Yo siempre he creído en Dios, tengo mucha fe en Dios, siempre me he encomendado a él, soy pecador como todos, pero creo en él”, afirma Pérez Cuéllar. Por su parte Rubí nos comenta que “Dios es todo en la vida de las personas, si Dios no está al lado de nosotros, dentro de nosotros, somos como una masa sin nada”.

Ella asegura que se complementan con amor y paciencia, más cuando se trata de comprender el trabajo de su marido. “Cruz tiene una carga de trabajo muy pesada, entonces los espacios que tenemos entre los dos, los hemos complementado de una manera muy buena. Tanto él como yo sabemos que las jornadas de trabajo son largas, pero en los espacios nos acomodamos muy bien los dos”, dice la mujer que al casarse con el político se convirtió en madre de 6, tres de él, dos de ella, y una pequeña en común, a quienes buscan inspirar a través del ejemplo.
POR EL BIEN DE LA FRONTERA En voz de Rubí exhortan a ver por las familias, que lo son todo, sobre todo la base de una sociedad unida, fuerte y feliz, cuya integrante principal es la mujer, por la cual trabajan para verla empoderada, realizada, siendo el soporte de las niñas, niños y jóvenes de los juarenses.
THE IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY Cruz Pérez Cuéllar and Rubí Enríquez, open up to Visionarias about their work on behalf of the family. Ten years have passed since Cruz Perez Cuellar, and Rubi Enriquez decided to embark on a journey together, which has led them to form a strong family and work to solve the problems and needs of one of the most complicated cities in the world. For the mayor of Ciudad Juárez, it is a refuge that helps him “face a thousand problems... you get home and there you take refuge, you concentrate, you fill yourself with energy, obviously love, it is fundamental to be clear”. For her part, Rubí Enríquez, president of the Municipal DIF, affirms that “the family is who you are if you don’t have a solid family at home, it is difficult to go out into the streets to move forward, to do great things.” And precisely, having this engine, both go out every day to work in favor of the Juarense community. It is a new challenge for Rubi that keeps her focused and very attentive. “It is something very nice, very nice; I had never worked in the administration and now to be here supporting him and him supporting me; to have the same talks, to share the same things is something wonderful,” she comments. For his part, the president says he is happy and pleasantly surprised “because Rubi, unlike a servant who has always been in public life, she had never been, never is. WOMEN, A MORAL RESERVE The president assured that the most crucial thing in his administration is implementing a transversal policy; he is a man who values women very much. “If we want to make a change, it is going to have to be through a policy that transcends the entire Municipality and all directions, and we are in that process.” Perez Cuellar goes deeper and assures that “women are the moral reserve of society, a little to the detriment of us men, I say it, it is true, we are to serve them, we are working to leave them a better city, we are working on their safety.” He adds that “in the case of the women in the maquiladora industry, (we work) to light all the roads that lead them to their work. Our challenge is to light their way between now and the end of this administration.
THEIR INSPIRATION To achieve everything they have set out to do, both as a couple and as municipal officials, Cruz and Rubí are inspired by their love for Mexico and their family, to whom they seek to leave a cleaner, safer and more orderly city says the mayor. He boasts of his passion for the country where he was born.
HE TALKS ABOUT RELIGION Another of his inspirations is God, of whom, despite his public posts, he does not hesitate to speak; he describes himself as a man of faith. “I have always said it, in public and in private, I believe in God, in our Lord Jesus Christ, I am a man of faith.” “I respect everyone; there has always been a bad vision of the secular state. The secular state is sold to us as meaning that you cannot profess or talk about God in a public office, and of course, you can. The secular state means respect for everyone, and here in the Presidency, we have to attend to everyone. I have always believed in God, I have a lot of faith in God, I have always entrusted myself to him, I am a sinner like everyone else, but I believe in him”, affirms Perez Cuellar. For his part, Rubí comments that “God is everything in people’s lives, if God is not beside us, inside us, we are like a mass with nothing.”
THE RECOUNT OF A LIFE “It has been ten years of sharing our life, wonderful, where there have been many highs, the lows are not even counted, our love, marriage and family are very nice and supportive, we have been able to match, both his children and mine,” shares with Visionarias Rubi. She assures that they complement each other with love and patience, more so when understanding her husband’s work. “Cruz has a hefty workload, so the spaces we have between the two of us, we have excellently complimented them. Both he and I know that the workdays are long, but we both fit in very well,” says the woman who, after marrying the politician, became the mother of six children, three of them his, two hers, and a little girl together, whom they seek to inspire by example.

ran ganancia es la piedad acompañada de contentamiento, es decir, vivir cerca de Dios nos hace felices con lo que tenemos. La clínica Mayo en Rochester, Minnesota y el hospital Johns Hopkins de Maryland, ambos en Estados Unidos, concluyeron que el 70 por ciento de las enfermedades mentales y físicas en las mujeres provienen del estrés, un estado en la mayoría de las pacientes que consultó y que es causa de muchos padecimientos ginecológicos y obstétricos
El estrés es una condición interna de falta de contentamiento, mas rencor, amargura, odio, intranquilidad, falta de paz e incredulidad. La mujer es sólo una administradora del cuidado de su salud y la de su familia, principalmente la de su esposo y sus hijos. Nuestro cuerpo es un gran tesoro que Dios nos ha dado, al cual tenemos que darle el cuidado que se requiere, siendo responsables de no presentar algún desequilibrio físico y/o mental. El Señor nos ha confiado todo nuestro cuerpo y si cuidamos bien de él recibiremos más salud, y con ello, una larga esperanza de vida. Enseñemos a nuestro esposo e hijos a cuidar de su salud, porque la mujer sabia edifica su casa (Proverbios 14:1) y se necesita estar sano para la edificación; no vivamos engañando a nuestro cuerpo. La baja estima en la mujer causa enfermedad en casi el 80 por ciento. En mi especialidad de ginecología y obstetricia, con 15 años de experiencia en estudiar las principales enfermedades que se presentan en la mujer, he concluido que la principal causa de las enfermedades por las que acuden mis pacientes es la depresión, interpretándose en ellas como alteraciones hormonales. Otro motivo frecuente por lo que acuden a consulta son las infecciones vaginales, ocasionadas por malas prácticas de higiene en las relaciones sexuales; los embarazos de alto riesgo ocasionados por mala alimentación que ocasionan diabetes gestacional y preeclampsia con un alto índice de muerte materno-fetal. Los cuidados que necesita la mujer son incontables y por ello el riesgo de presentar alguna enfermedad es muy alta en todas las especialidades de la medicina, por lo que hay que llevar a cabo estudios esenciales y prioritarios para el cuidado preventivo, que son: de sangre, que incluyan biométrica hemática, química sanguínea y perfil tiroideo; uno general de orina, además de un papanicolaou, cultivo vaginal y colposcopia; también un ultrasonido mamario, una mastografía, un ultrasonido de útero y de ovarios. El realizarse todos estos estudios en forma preventiva, es decir, aun en mujeres sin ninguna sintomatología cada 6 o 12 meses, podrían evitar un gran número de enfermedades y muertes en nosotras.

Our body is a great treasure that God has given us, to which we have to provide the care that is required, being responsible for not presenting any physical and mental imbalance. The Lord has entrusted us with our whole body, and if we take good care of it, we will receive more health and a long life expectancy with it. Let us teach our husband and children to take care of their health because a wise woman builds her house (Proverbs 14:1), and it is necessary to
be healthy for the edification; let us not live to deceive our body. The low esteem in women causes illness in almost 80 percent. In my specialty of gynecology and obstetrics, with 15 years of experience studying the primary diseases in women, I have concluded that the leading cause of the illnesses for which my patients come to me is depression, interpreted in them as hormonal alterations. Another frequent reason they come for consultation is vaginal infections, caused by poor hygiene practices in sexual relations; high-risk pregnancies caused by poor nutrition that cause gestational diabetes and preeclampsia with a high rate of maternal-fetal death. The care that women need are countless, and therefore the risk of presenting any disease is very high in all specialties of medicine, so it is necessary to carry out essential and priority studies for preventive care, which are: blood tests, including blood biometrics, blood chemistry and thyroid profile; a general urine test, plus a pap smear, vaginal culture and colposcopy; also a breast ultrasound, a mastography, an ultrasound of the uterus and ovaries. Performing all these studies preventively, that is, even in women without any symptoms every 6 or 12 months, could prevent many diseases and deaths among us.

FORTALEZA LA FORTALEZA COMIENZA AL CREER EN JESUCRISTO, ÉL LLENA AL CREYENTE DE SU FUERZA POR LUPITA NAVARRO
S
egún el filósofo griego Platón, la fortaleza es la tercera virtud cardinal (prudencia, justicia, fortaleza y templanza) que trata de vencer y eludir la temeridad, mientras que nosotros la conocemos como vigor, firmeza y resistencia. No todos los seres humanos desarrollan esta virtud, pero quienes sí, demuestran firmeza en las dificultades que se van presentando a lo largo de la vida, manteniendo la constancia por buscar el bien. Un ejemplo universal de fortaleza es Jesucristo y esa inyección espiritual que transmitió a sus discípulos, los cuales estuvieron dispuestos a ofrendar su vida, algunos con muertes espantosas, temerosos, pero fortalecidos con ese don espiritual que aprendieron del hijo de Dios. La fortaleza permite afrontar los problemas con valentía sin dejar a un lado la razón. Las fortalezas y debilidades refieren cualidades positivas que, a pesar de ser polos opuestos, caracterizan a una persona; ambas se unifican y crean otras fortalezas que pueden constituir oportunidades para alcanzar objetivos personales, humanos, espirituales, laborales o académicos. El Señor Jesús le dijo al apóstol Pablo: “tu debilidad se fortalece en mi poder”. Para que una cualidad sea considerada fortaleza tiene que ser un rasgo dominante en la persona, ser valorada como algo especial en una cultura y tener un opuesto indeseado. Ese opuesto es lo que llamamos debilidad, que, a la inversa de las fortalezas, aparentemente, son defectos rechazados por una cultura, es decir, son rasgos indeseables. La verdadera fortaleza es ser fuerte sin importar la situación o circunstancia. En ocasiones el ser humano se siente débil e incapaz, se cansa de pretender ser fuerte. Cualquiera que sea la situación, ten por seguro que el deseo de ser fuerte está alineado con lo que Dios quiere para la humanidad. La Biblia enseña que la fortaleza comienza al creer en Jesucristo y una vez que esto sucede, él llena al creyente de su fuerza, experimentada a través del poder del Espíritu Santo.

THE TRUE STRENGTH The strength begins with believing in Jesus Christ, he fills the believer with his power According to the Greek philosopher Plato, the stronghold is the third cardinal virtue (prudence, justice, stronghold and temperance) that tries to overcome and avoid recklessness. A universal example of fortitude is Jesus Christ and that spiritual injection that he transmitted to his disciples, who were willing to offer their lives, some with frightful deaths, fearful, but strengthened with that spiritual gift that they learned from the son of God. Fortitude allows us to face problems with courage without leaving reason aside. Strengths and weaknesses refer to positive qualities that, despite being opposites, characterize a person; both unify and create other strengths that can constitute opportunities to achieve personal, human, spiritual, work or academic objectives. The Lord Jesus said to the Apostle Paul: “my power strengthens your weakness.” For quality to be considered as a strength, it has to be a dominant trait in a person, be valued as something special in a culture and have an undesirable opposite. That opposite is what we call weakness, which, unlike strengths, are defects rejected by a culture; they are undesirable traits. True strength is being strong regardless of the situation or circumstance. Sometimes human beings feel weak and incapable; they get tired of pretending to be strong. Whatever the situation, rest assured that the desire to be strong is aligned with what God wants for humanity. The Bible teaches that strength begins with believing in Jesus Christ, and once this happens, he fills the believer with his strength, experienced through the power of the Holy Spirit.

LA RAÍZ DE TODOS LOS MALES ES EL AMOR AL DINERO, POR ELLO TE DECIMOS CÓMO EN LUGAR DE BUSCAR SER RICOS, DEBERÍAMOS BUSCAR SER MÁS PLENOS POR CAMBIO DE CULTURA

uestra sociedad actual está metida en una dinámica que muchos especialistas le han denominado “la carrera de la rata”. Básicamente se refiere a que muchas personas viven para trabajar para poder alcanzar mayor poder económico, incluso sacrificando su persona, familia y salud. Hemos sido engañados con la idea de que si tenemos más dinero seremos más felices. En lugar de buscar tener mayor “poder económico” (la capacidad que tenemos de comprar cosas), deberíamos de buscar tener mayor “prosperidad integral” (la capacidad que tenemos de progresar en todas las áreas de nuestra vida). En otras palabras, en lugar de buscar ser más ricos, deberíamos de buscar ser más plenos. El pasaje inicial de Proverbios 10:22 es muy revelador: Hay riqueza que trae tristeza con ella. La riqueza que tiene preparada el Señor es ¡integral!, es decir, cubre todas las áreas de nuestra vida.

El apóstol Juan, en su tercera carta le escribe a un anciano llamado Gayo, y le desea está bendición: Amado, ruego que seas prosperado en todo, así como próspera tu alma, y que tengas buena salud. (3 Juan 1:2). Prosperidad significa progresar. Dios quiere que progresemos en todo, no solamente en lo económico. Hay ocasiones que no estamos preparados para tener mayor capacidad económica, cuando no hemos madurado en nuestra alma (carácter), el tener más dinero nos llevará a perder cosas más valiosas como nuestro matrimonio, hijos, salud, intimidad con Dios, etcétera. El problema no es el dinero, el problema principal es nuestra actitud con el dinero. El apóstol Pablo advirtió a su discípulo Timoteo: Porque la raíz de todos los males es el amor al dinero, por el cual, codiciándolo algunos, se extraviaron de la fe y se torturaron con muchos dolores. (1 Timoteo 6:10). El amor al dinero es el principal obstáculo para obtener prosperidad integral, poder disfrutar la bendición del Señor.
CÓMO PODEMOS VENCER EL AMOR AL DINERO Para lograr prosperidad integral necesitamos madurar en nuestro carácter, la madurez se adquiere cuando cuidamos a las personas y las cosas. Nuestra madurez se mide por la aceptación de responsabilidad y la iniciativa por hacer cambios. Cinco ideas que nos pueden ayudar a vencer el amor al dinero y encaminarnos a la prosperidad integral: 1. Date cuenta de que el dinero es incierto, piensa en las pérdidas económicas que has tenido que te hagan ver está realidad. 2. Aprende a ser feliz, más allá de tu circunstancia económica. 3. Estudia cualidades de carácter que contrarresten el amor al dinero. 4. Sé consciente que hay riqueza que trae consigo tristeza y desgracia. 5. Valora más tener un buen nombre delante de los demás que muchas riquezas. Pero los que quieren enriquecerse caen en tentación y lazo, y en muchos deseos necios y dañosos que hunden a los hombres en la ruina y en la perdición. Porque la raíz de todos los males es el amor al dinero, por el cual, codiciándolo algunos, se extraviaron de la fe y se torturaron con muchos dolores. (1Timoteo 6:9-10)
ECONOMIC POWER VS. COMPREHENSIVE PROSPERITY The root of all evil is the love of money, so here’s how instead of seeking to be more prosperous, we should strive to be more fulfilled. Our current society is caught up in a dynamic that many specialists have called “the race of the specialists have called “the rat race.” It refers to the fact that many people live to work to achieve greater economic power, even sacrificing their family and health. We have been deceived that we will be happier if we have more money. Instead of seeking to have more “economic power” (the capacity we have to buy things), we should seek to have more “integral prosperity” (the ability we have to progress in all areas of our life). In other words, instead of seeking to be more prosperous, we should strive to be more fulfilled. The opening passage of Proverbs 10:22 is very revealing: There is wealth that brings sorrow with it. The Lord’s wealth in store for us is comprehensive;
that is, it covers all areas of our life. In his third letter, the apostle John writes to an older man named Gaius and wishes him this blessing: Beloved; I pray that you may prosper in all things, that your soul may thrive, and that you may have good health. (3 John 1:2). Prosperity means to progress. God wants us to progress in everything, not just financially. When we are not prepared to have more economic capacity, when we have not matured in our soul (character), having more money will lead us to lose more valuable things like our marriage, children, health, intimacy with God, etcetera. The problem is not money; our attitude with money is our main problem. The apostle Paul warned his disciple Timothy: For the love of money is the root of all evil: for the love of money, whereby some have erred from the faith, having lusted after it, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:10). The love of money is the main obstacle to obtaining integral prosperity, to enjoy the blessing of the Lord.
HOW WE CAN OVERCOME THE LOVE OF MONEY To achieve integral prosperity, we need to mature in our character; maturity is acquired when we care for people and things. Our maturity is measured by accepting responsibility and the initiative to make changes. Five ideas that can help us overcome the love of money and set us on the path to integral prosperity: 1. Realize that money is uncertain; think about the economic losses that make you see this reality. 2. Learn to be happy beyond your economic circumstances. 3. Study qualities of character that counteract the love of money. 4. Be aware that there is wealth that brings sadness and misfortune. 5. Value a good name in the eyes of others more than much wealth. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil, for which some coveting after money have erred from the faithtoward and have tortured themselves with many sorrows. (1Timothy 6:9-10)

A 10 AÑOS DE COMENZAR CON EL MINISTERIO DE MUJERES VISIONARIAS, LUZ MARÍA SOTELO COMPARTE QUÉ TAN SATISFACTORIO HA SIDO EL CAMINO POR SANDRA ROCÍO CHÁVEZ

ras la desaparición de su hermano, Luz María Sotelo buscó las respuestas que dieran paz a su familia y a su corazón, sin imaginar que también encontraría la misión que Dios había preparado para ella. La historia de la líder de Mujeres Visionarias dentro del cristianismo se remonta al año 2007, cuando gracias a una amiga escuchó el llamado del Señor y sintió su amor a través de su palabra y sus alabanzas. Luego de asistir a la iglesia asegura que comenzó a recibir “esa paz que sobrepasa el entendimiento del ser humano” y casi de inmediato se comenzó a ordenar su vida, lo cual ahora comparte con las mujeres que se acercan a ella. “Antes de conocer a Dios yo ya lo hacía (ayudar a la gente), ahora que lo conozco lo hago con más conocimiento, más felicidad y con más retribuciones que él me da a través de mi vida”.
NACE EL MINISTERIO La esposa de Manuel Sotelo y madre de Karen y Kiara asegura que desde que aceptó a Cristo, comprendió que su misión era transmitir a sus semejantes el conocimiento con un sentido humano del espíritu de Dios, por lo que en 2012 comenzó a dar conferencias a otras mujeres, sobre todo a las que trabajan en la empresa de su marido, y luego al resto de la ciudadanía. Siete años después, en 2019, fundaría la revista Visionarias, que vendría de la mano con su madurez espiritual. “La revista nació como algo que Dios puso en mi corazón; siempre me ha gustado la lectura porque siento que a través de ella te transportas a lugares, a hechos que te pueden hacer crecer y Dios puso eso en mi corazón, tener una revista, tener un centro de ayuda para la mujer, lo que ha sido muy gratificante”.

La mujer que combina su rol de “visionaria” con el de madre, esposa y ama de casa, presume de que el ministerio que lidera actualmente se encuentra en crecimiento. “El año pasado nos concentramos en sacar adelante el centro de ayuda, es decir, ayudamos a la ciudadanía a través de centros comunitarios, a través de las iglesias y nos establecimos con una oficina”. Las instalaciones de Mujeres Visionarias se encuentran en la calle Lexus número 2220, del fraccionamiento Marquis; aquí las mujeres encuentran terapias psicológicas, consejería y apoyo legal, además de consultas médicas gratuitas, sobre todo aquellas en etapa de embarazo, en quienes se han enfocado en los últimos meses. Para todas también ofrecen pláticas y talleres que les ayudarán en su crecimiento personal y profesional. En cuanto a la revista −de publicación mensual− comparte que en este 2022, tanto ella como su equipo,
en el que laboran alrededor de 10 personas, están trabajando arduamente en el proceso de cambio y crecimiento que adhiera a nuevos lectores a su visión. Para ello se añadió una nueva sección, llamada “Conectando con el Mundo”, dirigida a todo aquel que no sea cristiano para que también se sienta identificado con el contenido de cada edición; por medio de esta sección se conoce a gente que impacta a la comunidad. “Estamos en un reto de crecimiento donde queremos darnos a conocer más y ser más cercanos”, nos confía Luz María.
PRIMERO EL SEÑOR Pero la señora Sotelo está consciente de que nada de esto sería posible sin la ayuda de Jesucristo, de quien se ha convertido en intermediaria con las mujeres fronterizas. “Mi objetivo y mi visión, todo, siempre es llevar el nombre de Dios a todo el ser humano que pueda leer, que alcance la leer la revista; llevarles un poco de los atributos de él, paz, amor, paciencia, dignidad. Sin Dios no sería posible, realmente soy una trabajadora que está muy contenta de trabajar para él, soy una servidora”, comenta emocionada. Agrega que los próximos planes son (como siempre) mejorar, crecer y establecerse.
SU MENSAJE A través de la revista Luz María Sotelo quiere hacer saber a las mujeres que “somos valiosas, no por lo que tenemos ni por lo que somos, simplemente porque él nos creó con un propósito divino y en base a esa creación nos dio dones y talentos para salir adelante en cualquier situación”. A SERVANT OF GOD Ten years into the ministry of Mujeres Visionarias, Luz Maria Sotelo shares how fulfilling the journey has been. After her brother’s disappearance, Luz María Sotelo searched for the answers that would give peace to her family and her heart, without imagining that she would also find the mission that God had prepared for her. The history of Mujeres Visionarias’ leader within Christianity dates back to 2007 when she heard the call of the Lord and felt his love through his word and his praises. After attending the church, she began to receive “the peace that surpasses the human being understanding” and almost immediately began to order her life, which she now intends to do with the women who come to her. “Before knowing God, I was already doing it (helping people); now that I know him, I do it with more knowledge, more happiness and with more retribution that he gives me through my life.”
THE MINISTRY IS BORN Manuel Sotelo’s wife and mother of Karen and Kiara assure that since she accepted Christ, she understood that her mission was to transmit knowledge with a human sense of God’s spirit to her fellow women. Hence, in 2012 she began to give lectures to other women, especially those who work in her husband’s company, and then to the rest of the population. Seven years later, in 2019, she would found Visionarias magazine, which would come hand in hand with her spiritual maturity. “The magazine was born as something that God put in my heart; I have always liked reading because I feel that through it you are transported to places, to facts that can make you grow, and God put that in my heart, to have a magazine, to have a help center for women, which has been very rewarding.”
A TIME OF CHANGE The woman who combines her role as “visionary” with that of mother, wife and housewife boasts that the ministry she currently leads is growing. “Last year, we concentrated on getting the help center off the ground; that is, we helped the people through community centers, through churches, and we set up with an office.”
The Mujeres Visionarias facilities are located at 2220 Lexus Street, in the Marquis subdivision. Here, women can find psychological therapies, counseling and legal support, as well as free medical consultations, especially those in the pregnancy stage, who have been the focus of the last few months. They also offer talks and workshops to help them in their personal and professional growth. As for the monthly magazine, she shares that in 2022, she and her team, around ten people, will work hard on change and growth to attract new readers to their vision. To this end, a new section was added, called “Connecting with the World,” aimed at anyone who is not a Christian so that they can also feel identified with the content of each edition; through this section, they meet people who impact the community. “We are in a growth challenge where we want to make ourselves better known and be closer,” Luz María confided.
FIRST THE LORD But Mrs. Sotelo is aware that none of this would be possible without the help of Jesus Christ, whose intermediary she has become with the border women. “My objective and my vision, everything, is always to take the name of God to every human being who can read, who can read the magazine; to bring them a little of his attributes, peace, love, patience, dignity. Without God, it would not be possible; I am a worker who is very happy to work for him, I am a servant,” she says excitedly. She adds that her following plans are (as always) to improve, grow and establish herself.
HER MESSAGE Through the magazine, Luz Maria Sotelo wants to let women know that “we are valuable, not because of what we have or what we are, simply because he created us with a divine purpose and based on that creation he gave us gifts and talents to get ahead in any situation.” She assures that we are all prepared if we approach God and nurture our spirit because that will allow us to achieve all the goals we set for ourselves. “God has given me all the weapons in his word to overcome all the vicissitudes and difficulties that come with the life of every human being, but first we must give ourselves to the Lord,” she says.
