I think many would agree with me that age does take a toll on you in varying ways. As a fifty-something -year-old female, I noticed that not only had the years increased, but so did the pounds. Historically each year, I would put on weight in the winter (winder padding!) and strategically lose it during the summer months. However, as the years went by, I lost the balance and I seemed to be putting on more weight during the winter and losing less in the summer. Last year, I noticed myself gaining weight throughout all months; both summer and winter months. This combined with a family loss made me realise that I had to make changes to my lifestyle and diet choices. Now I was stuck. What was the best thing to do for my newfound goal of getting fitter? Previous dieting attempts had resulted in the yo-yo impact of losing a few pounds but only to put even more back on. In addition, being a bit of a foodie the solution had to be one that would be long term and sustainable. I’d tried lots of diets and programmes includingPaleo, Dukan, low carb, lo-fat to name a few. Unfortunately, all were short-lived! I found through experimenting with varying diet forms that anything which would make me feel deprived and miserable just would not work! That's when I came across the Vie Weight loss programme. I have been on this programme since just before last Xmas, and have lost over 24 pounds, which looking back I find really surprising. This is mainly because it hasn’t been hard work at all! I deliberately wanted a programme of slow but sustained weight loss, and although that doesn’t make for an exciting story of how the needle on the scales drops exponentially in the first few weeks, I look back and I know that if I hadn’t done it this way, it would never have happened.
