MY NEW (NOSE) JOB By OLIVIA KUMAR Many men and women struggle with at least one part of their body or face in their lifetime. It causes us to feel self-conscious, unhappy, stressed and the self-criticism can be burdening. I have struggled with the appearance of my nose since I was a teenager. In fact, I even got bullied for my nose many times. Negative comments can have a major impact on the way you feel about yourself. Of course, we are responsible for our own happiness and acceptance of ourselves. However, when you feel unhappy with a particular part of your face and somebody else confirms that there is something wrong with it, it makes you feel terrible.
I really believe that if you are not happy with something, you need to do something about it. In this case I really needed to take action. I was tired of walking by a shop window or a mirror and it ruining my day because my nose looked too big. Little things like that would affect my entire day and I would think about it for hours. Whenever I went to an event and people took pictures, I tried to hide from the cameras. I would get annoyed at people for taking photos of me when I was unaware because I didn't want my nose to look huge in it. I almost hid from myself in a way.

And though I had not been bullied for my nose in a long time, I still felt unhappy.
