Soul Tal with Heather Cri

"I Never Get to Play" The Soccer & Q Dilemma, an excerpt from “How to Rai Child (and be happy too.) "

Sometimes the greatest gift we can give our kids isn't the answer it's the quiet space for them to find it themselves. My 14-yearold son, Chris, comes home from soccer practicewithstormcloudsonhisface.

"The coach is unfair. The players are mean I never get to play!"

He's not wrong. He's basically the human equivalent of an emergency parachute: you only use it when the plane is already fine... or going down in flames.

And I feel it deep down in my bones. I was never the star athlete I know what it's like to sit on the sidelines, to feel invisible, to wonder if you even matter to the team. My inner mama bear is pacing, ready to step in, fix it, make it fair

But here's the quiet truth whispering under all that noise: this is not my game to play

So I breathe. I listen. And instead of handing him a solution, I hand him the steering wheel

“What are your options?" I ask.

He shrugs "None "

Soul Spark

"Is that true?"

Soon, we've got a list on paper: quit, talk to the coach, practice more, or... keep sitting on the bench. We walk through them. Quitting doesn't feel right. Sitting still stings That leaves him with two choices: speak up or level up.

Then it hits him: "Maybe I can ask the coach what I need to work on so I can play more."

Yes. That's the moment. Not because I said it, but because he did He found his own path. And that -more than any goal scored- is the real win.

Reflection for Families

When your child feels stuck, try this: Ask them to name every possible option even the silly ones

Write them down so the problem is outside their head.

Step back and trust them to choose. You might be surprised how capable they feel when the decision truly belongs to them

Sometimes the best way to help your child isn't to fight their battles it's to believe they can win them in their own way. One day, they'll face bigger moments than soccer, and they'll remember how you stood beside them, not in front of them

She delivers tortillas by day, packs hygiene kits by night, and still finds time to cheer on teen moms, advocate for foster kids, and inspire women to lead with heart.

Gianina Sanchez isn’t just a married mom of four and a local vendor partnered with Mission Foods she’s a force of kindness and grit in the Las Vegas community With a heart rooted in service and a platform she calls Heart of Grace, Gianina’s mission is clear: “To inspire others to chase after what sets their soul on fire and turn their passion into reality just as I’ve done through every season of my life.”

Heart of Grace: Mrs. Downtown Las Vegas

GIANINA SANCHEZ SERVES HER FAMILY AND HER COMMUNITY WITH PURPOSE

With a heart full of purpose, she leads and uplifts through community action. She’s a regular volunteer with Project Marilyn, helping pack and distribute feminine hygiene products to women in need, and serves as a CASA advocate to support children navigating the foster care system. She lends her time to Living Grace Homes, a refuge for teen moms, and helps keep the boutique at Project 150 stocked so that CCSD high school students in need can shop with dignity

“I believe in doing everything with heart My platform, Heart of Grace, is about showing up, not just for myself, but for others,” Sanchez said

Her personal growth journey took a powerful turn when she stepped into pageantry through USOA Nevada.

“It wasn’t about the crown it was about the sisterhood, the challenge, and the opportunity to elevate the causes I care about,” she said. “When we take care of ourselves, we’re better equipped to lift others”

Gianina draws inspiration from powerhouse women on every level Locally, Elena Cardone’s message of faith, family, and legacy-building resonates deeply Globally, she admires Claudia Sheinbaum, the newly elected president of Mexico “She embraces her heritage and leads with vision That’s the kind of impact I hope to make rooted in culture, powered by purpose.”

Starting the Journey

Two Educators, One Podcast, and a Lot to Say

Why do students get pushed through skills before they're ready? As educators and parents, we've asked ourselves these questions countless times. That's why we created our new podcast, There's Gotta Be a Better Way

Hosted by Gloria and JoAnn, two passionate educators, the podcast explores the challenges and possibilities within today's education system We look at where schools came from, how they're structured, and whether traditions from the farming calendar or industrial age still make sense for modern learners More importantly, we ask: What needs to change so children can thrive?

Each episode takes on big questions: Could year-round school work better for families? How can outdated practices be reimagined? What role should parents play in shaping their child's learning experience? Along the way, we'll bring in voices from the classroom and the community teachers, administrators, and parents who know firsthand what's working and what isn't

But this isn't just about us it's about you What questions do you have about your child's education? What changes do you want to see? We invite parents to join the conversation, share ideas, and help shape future episodes. The first episode is out now Listen in, get inspired, and be part of discovering better ways forward in education. Because when it comes to our kids' future, there's always a better way

HomeworkHub SAVINGYOURSANITY

Oh, I’ve been there. One minute you’re thinking, “I’m raising curious, adventurous learners!” and the next, you’re tripping over a copy of Charlotte’s Web on the stairs for the third day in a row because apparently the stair landing is now “a reading nook”

I hit my breaking point somewhere between stepping on a protractor (barefoot, obviously) and trying to locate the elusive blue math sheet that mysteriously vanished into the void Did we do homework at the park? In the car? On top of the laundry pile? Who knows. All I knew was that something had to change before I lost my remaining shred of sanity

So - the Homework Hub. A go-to space in our home that's not only for learning, but also for finding things again It's now where backpacks land, where pencils actually have erasers, and miracle of miracles, where assignments don’t vanish into thin air.

Designate one consistent space Dining table? Corner desk? Doesn’t matter But homework now lives there no more “roaming scholar” chaos

Give everything a home. A bin for each kid Clipboards for worksheets. Hooks for bags. (Bonus: fewer things on stairs!)

Keep it calm. I stashed a basket of fidget toys and coloring sheets nearby. Brain breaks happen, but so does clean-up

Light it up. No more squinting at handwriting by flashlight Good lighting = good vibes

Set a routine Same time, same place. Even if it’s just 15 minutes a day

Now, we still have chaos... just contained chaos And I haven’t stepped on a ruler in weeks. Small victories, my friend

Tradition Keeper

Family traditions are more than just recipes or rituals they’re the threads that stitch generations together From Sunday dinners to holiday crafts, these moments become cherished memories, teaching children where they come from and how love shows up in everyday life.

“Traditions give kids a sense of belonging.,” said Janet Limpski, mom of two and Oomah to three They remind them that they are part of something bigger”

Passing down traditions isn’t about perfection it’s about presence Whether it’s a special meal, a family song, or a shared outing, kids carry these moments forward into adulthood

“The little things you do year after year become the big things they’ll never forget,” said longtime Vegas resident and grandfather, Paul

How to Start Your Own Traditions

Keep it simple: Pancake breakfasts, bedtime stories, or a weekly walk can be powerful traditions

Add meaning: Share the “why” behind the tradition, whether it’s cultural, spiritual, or simply family fun

Write it down: Keep a journal or photo album that documents the tradition each year.

Let kids lead: Ask grandchildren what traditions they’d like to start and let them be part of shaping family history.

Grandparents - We invite you to our Sept 13 Kidpreneur Market at Fantastic Indoor Swap Meet

Seasonal Traditions That Stick

Many families anchor traditions to the seasons, like apple picking at Gilcrease Orchard or camping under the stars The rhythm of repeating these experiences makes them meaningful

Some of the best traditions come from simply playing and exploring together, like pretending you’re paleontologists on a fossil dig or giggling as you brush a dinosaur’s giant teeth at Dinosaur Outpost.

“In the summer, we go indoors to trampoline parks or all-day fun places like Dinosaur Outpost,” said Carol Hormeth, a season passholder with her daughter

When the action is too much, can relax on one of the many park benches throughout the indoor park while their grandkids pedal cars past a “volcano” or try silly challenges like tossing Brussels sprouts into a dino’s mouth

It’s these kinds of shared adventures that turn into stories told for generations

Discount Days for Seniors

There are an abundance of discount days this fall for grandparents Go here for more info!

RAIDERS YOUTH CLINIC REPORTING ONTHE NEXT GENERATION

The Raiders Youth Clinic wasn’t about crowds or big stadium lights, it was about kids lacing up, learning the game, and getting inspired On the field, groups of young athletes rotated through skillstationsrunbyplayersfromtheGreenValley High School football team, while Raiders players movedstation-to-station,coaching,encouraging, and connecting with the next generation of football

Theenergyspikedwhenkids hit the 1-on-1 drill, a clear favorite. Campers lined up, challenged each other, and celebrated every win like it wasagamedaytouchdown One athlete told me, “The 1on-1s were the best, going head-to-head made me feel likeIwasinarealgame.”

When asked who their favorite Raider was, Maxx Crosby and Ashton Jeanty were shouted out Another camperfromMexicosaidhe looks up to Lamar Jackson: “Hecanrunfastandhecan throwgood.”

And then there were the Raiders themselves Wide receiver Dont’e Thornton Jr toldmefaithiswhatfuelshis game:

“As long as I stick to God’s plan,it’sgonnaworkout.”

Linebacker Amari Gainer brokedownwhatitmeansto leadfromthedefensiveside

“To set the tone as a linebacker, you’vegottowork when nobody’s watching When you step on the field, your energy shows and that energyspreadstothewhole team”

EventheGreenValleyplayers like Bryce Clarke, Evan Williams, and Mike Lewis shared lessons about chemistry, leadership, and competingatthehighschool level

Lewis told me, “Our connectionoffthefieldmakes everything click on the field” Clarkeadded,“We’regoingto hitithardthisyear Wehavea youngteamandwe’reaiming forastatetitle”

What stood out most is that this wasn’t just about drills, it was about the development of the younger generation FromNFLprostohighschool mentors to first-time campers, everyone was talking about energy, leadership, and what it takes to play the game the right way

For me, covering this clinic wasn’t just reporting on football, it was reporting on the future And it proved something: I’m not just practicing interviews anymore. I’m ready for the nextlevel

VegasRaiderDad

MoreThanaGame–Creating MomentsThatMatter

As football season kicks off and fans gear up for touchdowns and tailgates, there’s one Las Vegas-based nonprofit making sure the magic of game day reaches beyond the stadium gates Vegas Raider Dad was founded on a powerful idea that sports can do more than entertain, they can bring families closer together

"To some, it's just a game," said Josh Caminite, founder of Vegas Raider Dad He creates unforgettable experiences for kids and their parents or mentors by getting them into Raiders games and sharing the full fan experience. "But to us, it's a few hours where a child gets to make a memory with someone who matters to them It’s high-fives, nachos, and cheering for the same team That kind of bonding sticks"

While many families watch games from home, Raider Dad gives kids a chance to be right in the action surrounded by the silver and black, high-fiving fellow fans, and seeing their heroes play in real life It’s about more than football It’s about creating lasting memories, building community, and giving kids something exciting to talk about for weeks.

One favorite moment for the Raider Dad team? Taking an entire family to a Raiders game together.

“We usually host one adult and one child,” Caminite said, “but every now and then, we get to bring the whole crew Watching them take it all in the music, the crowd, the excitement it’s a feeling you never forget.”

He hopes to offer game-day experiences in every professional stadium in Las Vegas. More info can be found on how to be a part of the efforts on VegasRaiderDadorg

“It only takes one game to make a lifetime memory,” Caminite said “We just make sure there’s a seat waiting”

Want to get involved? You can support Raider Dad by following @vegasraiderdad on social media, donating tickets or funds, or simply helping spread the word.

FromDirtto Dessert:

Las Vegas actually has a surprisingly long growing season With the right timing and methods, vegetable gardening here can be not only possible but really rewarding.

When I launched my business, I decided to blend my past as an image consultant with my present and gave it a playful name: Fancy Pants Gardens.

What I Do

I tailor my services depending on what people need Some want to do everything themselves with a little guidance I walk them through how to choose a location, what to plant, and how to get started Some like a complete setup. I design custom raised beds wood or steel supply the best soil, install irrigation, and plant vegetables proven to thrive here.

My Fancy Pants Garden Club is a twice a month live Zoom class where I teach seasonal lessons everything from fertilizing and pruning to pest control and harvesting Most people takethecallrightfromtheirgardens, which makes it fun and interactive Between classes, we stay connected through a group text so no one feels stuck It’s a wonderful community of peoplewhoarelearning, sharing, and growingtogether

How Rose Creek Farm Grows Skills, Confidence, and Community

How Rose Creek Farm Grows Skills, Confidence, and Community Rooted in Purpose

Tucked in the northwest part of the valley, there’s a quiet garden filled with more than just produce. Rows of vibrant greens and sun-warmed vegetables stretch across Rose Creek Farm’s 5 acres. But what’s growing here isn’t just food. It’s dignity, empowerment, and connection.

“Agriculture has always been a part of my life,” said Cindy Trussell, founder of Lighthouse Charities “I’ve been able to bless my family and others with my talents and skills in this field The families we serve, many of them refugees, have these same talents They want to be part of our communities, and sometimes they’re not accepted This farm gives them a way to give back and feel connected.”

What started as a garden quickly grew into something more: a training ground, a gathering place, and a fresh start for thosewhohadlefteverythingbehind.

“The produce we grow represents independence,” Cindy says. “This place has become a place of healing for so many. It’s something they can care for and then share with others That brings them joy and that’s what community is all about.”

One of those farmers is Esra Al-Tahan, 42, a refugee from Iraq and a trained agricultural engineer.

“I work at Rose Creek Farm as a field supervisor,” Al-Tahan said “I plant, harvest, and care for all of the crops. I follow up on production and make sure everything is high quality.”

This isn’t just a job. It’s a way to honor her roots and build a new life.

“The most important thing in life is to be a productive person. I want to care for the land, help improve the climate, and provide something meaningful to the community.”

Her passion runs deep, steeped in the agricultural heritage of her homeland “In ancient civilizations like Babylon and Sumeria, people invented agriculture,” she shares

“When I’m in the field, I think of the hanging gardens I studied in school I always say, the more you give to the land, the more it will give to you.”

How to Support the Mission

Rose Creek Farm doesn’t just need shoppers, it needs supporters Volunteers, donations, and community partners all help the garden thrive.

“Volunteerism is super important,” Trussell said. “We love working with corporate groups and families who want to get their hands in the soil This garden is valuable to the people we serve and to our entire city”

SmallGardens NeedBigPlans

Your small garden offers a great opportunity for creativity Unlock different ways of thinking by envisioning your small yard as a new room and an addition to your home.

What do you want this new room to be: tranquil sitting area, dining and cooking space, herbal garden, exercise spot, pet dwelling, or some combination of these things?

Often overlooked when designing a yard is an evaluation of the background of your garden What is the look of your surrounding walls or fencing? Whatever design you are after will be less effective if you fail to take this into account Many of us in Las Vegas have utilitarian block walls, which do little to help you achieve a pleasing space Colored stucco is an expensive but very effective option If that’s not in-budget, consider good quality outdoor wall paint using proper primer Deep dark grays or rich chocolate browns are a great backdrop for greenery and will set off your garden space. (You may need to clear colors with your HOA if you are in this sort of community) If you can’t tackle your entire wall, pick a focal wall or section.

Next, you need a plan. Measure and sketch out your yard and think about what is most important to you and how much effort you want to put into maintaining your space. Much can be achieved with moderate but consistent effort Section off each area and consider the function and the natural exposures in different parts of your yard.

How much sun, shade, wind, and traffic

Use texture and color to create your environment

Pick a color scheme that appeals to you and fits your property Outdoor carpets laid over paved areas do both But try to avoid buying generic items from your local garden center.

Investigate alternatives using online sources for unique personal and vibrant looks. The same advice holds true for container pots and raised planters Consider small bright boulders for brightness and foundational structure.

Last, carefully select plants that thrive in our desert landscape. There are plenty to choose from that are drought tolerant, beautiful and natural pollinators A great source for information about plant choices and care, is Mojave Bloom, a small local nursery located near downtown Las Vegas.

Make sure to get advice on how to amend your soil to enhance the growing environment and install an automated irrigation system. Take advantage of copper-lined drip lines and spot dribblers. Irrigation can and should go to every freestanding container or planter. Without proper irrigation you are setting your garden up for failure

Worm Whisperer

How one local farm is teaching families to turn scraps into soil—and soil into life.

In the sweltering sands of Southern Nevada, Dennis Wichter has quietly built something extraordinary At the Las Vegas Worm Farm, he isn’t just raising worms He’s raising awareness about how these tiny, squiggly creatures hold the key to better gardening, healthier soil, and more sustainable living in the desert

“I’m grateful for the chance to share what we’re doing out here,” Wichter said. “I love helping people see dirt not as something dead or useless, but as the beginning of something vibrant and alive especially here in the desert. Worms and good soil really can change everything”

Worms, it turns out, are much more than the wiggly critters we avoid on rainy sidewalks

“Worms are like tiny construction workers,” Wichter said. “People think they eat dirt, but they’re actually munching on old leaves, veggie scraps, and anything that used to grow.”

The real magic happens when those scraps come out the other end The result is worm castings, a nutrient-rich, natural fertilizer that helps plants grow strong and healthy As worms move through the soil, they create tiny tunnels that allow water and air to reach plant roots That’s how even hard-packed desert dirt can become fertile ground for flowers, vegetables, and more.

Getting started with vermicomposting at home is easier than most people think. Wichter recommends using a small container with shredded newspaper or cardboard, a handful of food scraps, and red wigglers his top pick for Las Vegas

“Keep it damp, like a wrung-out sponge,” he said “Let the worms do what they do best, and soon you’ll have dark, rich compost to mix into your garden or pots.”

His one big rule? Don’t overfeed them. Worms are slow eaters, and if you toss in too much food before they’ve finished the last batch, it can rot, smell bad, and attract flies

One of the most common questions Wichter gets is whether worms can survive the intense summer heat in Southern Nevada His answer: absolutely, with the right care He recommends keeping bins inside or in a shaded garage during peak summer If they must stay outside, frozen water bottles can be added daily to keep temperatures down

“Worms need moisture to breathe through their skin,” he said. “If it dries out, they’re in trouble.”

If all of that hasn’t made you a worm fan yet, here’s a fun fact: Worms have five hearts. Yes, five. While they don’t have eyes, they can still sense light and vibrations, which helps them stay safe underground And they’re always working, even when we don’t see them, breaking down organic matter, feeding plants, and healing the soil from the inside out

“In a place where gardening seems impossible, worms are proving it’s not only possible but powerful,” Wichter said. “It’s something everyone can do to make a difference, right in their own backyard.”

CREATING SPACE THAT WORKS FOR YOU

If you dream of decluttering, start here

Decluttering isn’t just about tossing things out it’s about creating room for what matters most. We asked Anai Sanchez, pro organizer and founder of Sorted Spaces, to clear up common misconceptions and share her best advice for getting started

QWhat’s the biggest myth people have about decluttering?

A common misconception is that you have to throw everything away just to make room for more.

In reality, it’s about thoughtfully reevaluating your belongings to see if they still serve a purpose in your life.

Decluttering isn’t only about getting rid of things it’s about creating space for what matters most

Another misconception is that the process has to feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t Start small, focus on one area at a time, turn on some music, and even set a timer to make it simple and fun

QDo we actually need more organizers, or is that just a trap we fall into when we’re overwhelmed?

It’s easy to fall into the trap of buying containers before decluttering, but this often leads to even more clutter The key is to go through your items first and decide what truly needs to stay.

Once you’ve decluttered, measure your space so you can choose the right organizing products if you even need them at all. Often, the solution isn’t more bins or baskets, but simply less stuff.

QHow do you help clients decide what’s worth keeping versus what’s just taking up mental space?

We guide clients through the decision-making process by helping them identify which items truly serve a purpose and which are just taking up mental and physical space A simple guideline we use is: if you haven’t used it in over a year or can’t see yourself using it soon, it may be time to let it go.

We also remind clients not to feel guilty about parting with gifts or items they spent money on The gift already fulfilled its purpose, and the money has already been spent Many people hold onto things because they’re tied to memories or people, but once you separate the sentiment from the object, you realize the memory stays with you even without the item.

Decluttering isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress. The goal isn’t to have less for the sake of it, but to create a home that feels lighter, calmer, and truly supports the way you want to live.

Paws in the Garden

How pets and plants help each other

There’s something timeless about watching your dog nap in a patch of sunshine or your cat bat curiously at a butterfly dancing through your flower beds For many families, pets and gardens go hand in hand they’re both sources of joy, calm, and connection to nature But when you combine the two, you want harmony, not chaos (or chewed tomato vines). With a little planning, your backyard can become a safe, enriching space for both paws and petals

The Benefits of Pets in the Garden

For pets, a garden is more than just a patch of green It’s an outdoor playground full of scents, textures, and natural enrichment. Dogs burn off energy chasing balls across the grass Cats stalk insects or lounge in a shady corner Even rabbits and guinea pigs can enjoy safe outdoor time nibbling on fresh greens. Time outside helps reduce anxiety, fights boredom, and promotes healthier lifestyles for pets and their humans alike

Gardening also benefits the pet parent Studies show that gardening lowers stress, and pets do the same. Put them together and you’ve got a recipe for calm afternoons, fresh vegetables, and a stronger bond with your animal companion

Keeping Your Garden Pet-Safe

Of course, not every plant is pet-friendly Popular flowers, fruits and veggies such as lilies, azaleas, onions, and grapes can be toxic to dogs and cats A good rule of thumb? Before planting, do a quick “pet safe” check Swap out hazardous plants for pet-friendly options like sunflowers, zinnias, basil, rosemary, and strawberries

Another tip: build barriers where needed. Raised beds, small decorative fencing, or container gardens can keep curious paws out of fragile seedlings. Mulch with untreated wood chips instead of cocoa mulch, which can be harmful if eaten

Pet-Friendly Garden Ideas

Dig Zone: Instead of scolding your dog for digging up roses, create a designated “digging pit” with soft soil or sand where digging is encouraged.

Water Station: Add a shaded bowl or even a little fountain so pets always have access to fresh water while outside.

Cat Corner: Plant catnip or cat grass in a small container to give feline friends their own garden patch

Shade & Shelter: Use shrubs or a small pet-safe pergola to create cool napping zones

Shared Joy

When pets and gardens thrive together, the whole family benefits. You’ll harvest fresh vegetables, your dog will burn off energy without tearing through the couch cushions, and your cat will have safe outdoor entertainment. It’s not just a backyard it becomes an oasis of wellness for all members of the household, furry and otherwise

FlavorwithPurpose:InsideTarantino’sVeganKitchen

When you walk into Tarantino’s, Vegan Eatery you’re not just getting food, you’re stepping into a story that’s bigger than the sumptuous plate in front of you

I got the chance to sit down with owner Sarah Tarantino After hearing her journey, it’s clear this restaurant isn’t just about eating vegan, it’s about living with compassion and keeping small businesses alive in Vegas.

Sarah’s story started nine years ago when she was pregnant with her fourth baby A documentary completely changed her life

“I saw the cruelty the animals had to suffer through,” she said “Overnight, I went vegan. I just said, I don’t ever want to be the reason that an animal has to go through that”

Her husband, a chef, began flipping all his recipes into plant-based versions The results blew people away.

“Within a few months, we lost weight, he went off cholesterol and blood pressure medicine,” she said, “and our family and friends couldn’t believe how good the food was”

With help from her dad, Papa Steve, who you’ll see honored on the menu, Sarah opened in February 2020 Just weeks later, the world shut down

“It was like swimming up a waterfall,” she said. But they kept going.

The food at Tarantino’s is just as strong as the story behind it. The Taste of Tarantino plate combines their three top-selling dishes: fettuccine alfredo, chick’n parmigiana, and lasagna

“People are like, oh, I can’t tell the difference,” she laughed

But here’s the thing: vegan restaurants in Las Vegas are struggling. Places like Tarantino’s, Araujo’s and others have been fighting to keep their doors open Sarah says supporting local vegan spots isn’t just for vegans, it’s for anyone who loves good food and cares about community.

“We make a change with where we spend our money Choosing vegan isn’t just food, it’s compassion,” she said.

Her own health transformation proves how powerful plants can be. Sarah shared that she used to struggle with a serious autoimmune condition called Graves disease

Doctors told her she’d likely need to have her thyroid removed and rely on synthetic hormones forever But since going vegan, she says her condition has stabilized naturally “When I went vegan, everything kind of mellowed out,” she told me. And then there’s her grandpa, Phil If she could share one vegan meal with anyone, she says it would be spaghetti and meatballs with him He wasn’t just her grandpa, he was a survivor of Auschwitz, the only one in his family to make it out alive “He just lived his life bringing love and compassion and kindness to everyone because he had experienced the opposite,” she said That same spirit drives her restaurant today

So, here’s my challenge: even if you’re not vegan, give Tarantino’s (or any local vegan spot) a try Order the Taste of Tarantino, grab a coloring book for the kids, and remind yourself that good food doesn’t need labels. Supporting vegan restaurants keeps small businesses alive and you might just walk away saying, “I can’t believe this is vegan”

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just food…it’s a movement served on a plate

Kingstyn Majors is an 11-yearold food critic, sports fan and young entrepreneur

This article is part of a special series highlighting local vegan eateries Many of these restaurants are small, family-run spots that have been fighting to stay open Our goal is simple: show you that vegan food isn’t just for vegans It’s good food, period By supporting these businesses, you’re keeping our community strong, helping local families, and discovering dishes Trying one meal makes a difference.
