come together to offer a trip of a lifetime. The cost of this trip is about one-half what it would cost if you went on your own and will take the group through the most beautiful cities in the world. This trip will be during May of 2012. Flying overnight from Birmingham to Italy will be exciting, especially when you wake up in Venice. After touring the floating city, you are bound for the city of Bologna-which is not pronounced like the Oscar Mayer kind but it is known for its cured meat. The group then goes to Florence for tours through the streets where Michelangelo’s David stood and

then on to Assisi and Rome for more historical sites and tours. After you have processed, photographed and tweeted nine days of educational information you return home so you can tell everyone “how much you learned.” This wordsmithing is the key to getting your parents and grandparents to help pay for this great opportunity. For information on this tour, email Lesa Shaul at lcc@uwa.edu or go by her office on the third floor of Wallace Hall. No matter what it costs, this trip will be priceless!

Call home and tell your Mom and Dad that professors are telling you that the trip to Italy in May of 2012 is mandatory. Or call Grandmother and tell her how much you can learn if you go on this trip. Do whatever it takes—you can even work from now until May—just go.
