As part of supporting swim schools, the ASSA Board have been working over the past year to develop a structure for mentoring relationships in the industry. Tapping into the wealth of knowledge that already exists in the industry and being able to share that with emerging leaders has been a key focus. This cultivation of leadership skills and capabilities is a benefit to the growth and development of our industry. Designed to develop life-long skills in both the mentor and mentee, the group will participate in online learning sessions facilitated by Amanda Crawford and Jo Fisher from Leadership Shapers. The program will run for just over six months, with a combination of facilitated and mentor-led sessions. Prior to starting with the program, participants completed a Brain Brief Profile which applies a research based approach to identifying learning and processing styles, and unlocks personal insights which can promote connection and communication. Mentoring pairs were then carefully matched to ensure both mentors and mentees can receive maximum benefits of being involved. Opportunities such as our mentoring program are available to our Australian and International Members. Head to our website to see the range of member services we offer. If you would like to express your interest in being involved in our next mentoring program - either as a mentor or mentee, please email us admin@australianswimschools.org.au.
