Student Voices How are our students coping with COVID-19? We asked our students what they have learned during this time and how their learning has adapted.
"Don’t take things for granted. [COVID] makes me appreciate being around people, which I never thought to appreciate. It makes a difference! Our class has used a lot of messaging applications to adapt. Communicating a lot with classmates about the content of the class became important. I bought myself a whiteboard to use at home for studying to extract information." - Gina Wojnar, Class of 2023

"I learned how important in-person interactions are and how hard it is when that is taken away. I had to adapt to different learning styles and find different ways to substitute for that loss of [human] interaction. I set up zoom meetings, sent emails, and spent extra time looking for any information I was missing. I had to take note of what worked and what didn’t work and adapt study habits throughout the semester. For example, I would study differently for the first anatomy test than I did for the second anatomy test."
