Students Making a Difference

The Women In Leadership Group is a studentcreated and student-run organization that aims to encourage female physical therapists to pursue leadership roles throughout the profession. The group hosts bi-monthly meetings that feature female professionals in leadership roles to share their experiences and address topics such as mentorship, salary negotiation, and postprofessional education. The Women In Leadership Group invites female physical therapists at all stages of their careers to join our community and engage in mentorship and sponsorship relationship.

Faculty and Students of the Masters of Athletic Training Program The goal and mission of the DEI Initiative is to represent and amplify the voices of all those involved in the athletic training program and make recommendations that aim to provide an inclusive and equitable environment for a diverse population. The committee and representative/chair of the DEI should work to identify and address barriers within the athletic training program and healthcare to promote access for all. This organization shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, or status as an individual with disability, or as a protected veteran, and any other status protected by applicable state or federal law.
