How are our students coping with COVID-19? We asked our students what they have learned during this time and how their learning has adapted.
"Don ’t take things for granted. [COVID] makes me appreciate being around people, which I never thought to appreciate. It makes a difference! Our class has used a lot of messaging applications to adapt. Communicating a lot with classmates about the content of the class became important. I bought myself a whiteboard to use at home for studying to extract information. " - Gina Wojnar, Class of 2023
"I learned how important people interactions are and how hard it is when that is taken away. I had to be adaptable to learning styles and find different ways to substitute that loss of [human] interaction. I set up zoom meetings, emails, spending extra time to look at where I’ m missing information. Taking note of what worked and didn ’t work and adapting study habits to see what worked and what didn ’t. Study different for first anatomy test than second anatomy test. Takes more effort to focus. " - Ramiro Mora, Class of 2024
