We are a movement of young Changemakers from around the world who are working to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals by the year 2030. We work to advance the skills, strengths, and power of young people so that we can all have a better future.
We believe that change is possible.
Young people have the power to solve the challenges we face in our world, but they are being ignored and overlooked. We work with young people so that they can lead in solving those challenges. Whether that means supporting youth to end child marriage or stop global health crises, stop climate change, or lead we work with young people to change their lives and the lives of people in their communities.
Camp 2030 is a 6-day “innovation lab” for the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
The inaugural Camp 2030 was initially scheduled for September 2020, however, in light of the unprecedented pandemic, it was postponed to September 2022 The outbreak of Covid-19 has shown that Camp 2030 is more important than ever to identify, promote, and connect young leaders who can help guide the world through these difficult times
One-hundred and fifty of the world’s top talent between the ages of 18-35, from 61 countries, who are taking action for the Sustainable Development Goals gathered in New York from September 12-18 to create new solutions to their choice of the most critical issues facing our world today At the same time, they built meaningful, authentic relationships with fellow Campers from around the world.
The first six days (September 11-15) of Camp 2030 takes place in upstate New York, tucked into a quiet corner of Adirondack National Park near the town of Warrensburg (four hours from New York City) Campers will not only innovate for the SDGs, but build meaningful friendships & relationships with fellow Changemakers from all over the world, paving the way for partnerships, collaboration, and cocreation. Camp 2030 prioritizes fun and meaningful engagement in addition to innovation
Furthermore, Camp 2030 is like no other innovation experience since it will allow you to:
Be action driven Have your voice heard Join a global community Co-create solutions
Take part in Global Goals Week
For the first time, we engaged the next generation to become the LEADING GENERATION to create positive, lasting social impact.
And we’re doing it again in 2023.
Each year for Camp 2030, UNITE 2030 selects "Tracks" which align with the state of the world and the priorities of the young Changemakers within our community. These tracks align with the UN Sustainable Development Goal priorities. Each Camper will work in a team throughout the week in order to develop an innovative solution to the SDG Track they chose.
SDG 2: Zero Hunger (i.e. food insecurity, sustainable food systems, malnutrition, rural infrastructure, agricultural productivity etc.)
SDG 3: Good Health & Well-Being (i e epidemics/pandemics, maternal mortality, sexual & reproductive health, healthcare systems, universal healthcare, substance abuse, road safety etc.)
SDG 4: Quality Education (i.e. equitable education, gender equality & education, child development, educational facilities, vocational, teachers, etc )
SDG 7: Affordable & Clean Energy (i.e renewable energy, international cooperation, modern and accessible energy facilities)
SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities (i.e. disabilities, refugees, income growth, wage equity, discriminatory laws/practices, gender equality etc)

(i.e. carbon emissions, global warming, biodiversity, ecosystems, human health, wildlife, agriculture, etc.)
Camp 2030 emphasizes team-building, problem identification and user empathy in order to fuel rapid ideation To do this, Campers find themselves in a Hackathon-styled innovation process, sprinkled with mentorship and fun activities to help spark inspiration.
Our Hackathon process is separated into three Gates, which Campers must finish before moving to the next Each Gate focuses on necessary steps for project creation such as problem scoping, articulating ideas, understanding your customer and writing a pitch.
During your experience at Camp your team will be assigned a Mentor who will leverage their experience to provide advice and guidance on the ideas and action plans you are working on. Our Mentors are experts from the sustainability, intrapreneurship and entrepreneurship worlds who come from numerous organizations.
This year, these organizations were:
On September 15, we head back to New York City for our SDG Solutions Hub the next day During this time, there is time before and during pitching to explore the different solutions that each Team developed over the course of Camp
As the day progresses, each Team will pitch their solution to a panel of judges in separate rooms, designated by SDG Track. For eight minutes, they present their solution and answer questions from the judges, who then determine which solution is the winner of each Track –which comes to seven semi-finalists.
Once the seven Track winners have been selected, these winning Teams pitch their solutions one more time at our SDG Solutions Hub Closing Ceremony The winning Team receives support to transform their solution into a reality in the months following Camp 2030

That is why, instead of hosting networking sessions at Camp 2030, we prioritize community-building and social activities that will help Campers develop friendships and relationships that will last far beyond Camp.
Since our Campers will join us from all over the world, we want to ensure that their cultures are represented and that they are able to experience what American culture looks like. Hence, we are preparing special evenings where y prom or play gam

Global Goals Week takes place every year in New York City in September, in concurrence with the United Nations General Assembly. Global Goals Week is an initiative of the UN Foundation, and is an annual week of action, awareness, and accountability for the Sustainable Development Goals. UNITE 2030 is part of the Global Goals Week partnership coalition, which means that there are hundreds of activities and activations that take place throughout New York City. We highly encourage Campers to stay in NYC after Camp 2030 to take part in these activations.
Please note that we cannot guarantee Camper attendance at any Global Goals Week Event. Campers are responsible for their own registration or engagement at any of these events.
