For me, growing up on a ranch, spring meant the arrival of new baby calves, the appearance of brave, beautiful spring crocuses bursting into lavender blooms, and more sunny hours to melt away the snow
The excitement of discovering those signs of spring never got old. I’d head out bright & early before my brothers & I got on the school bus, riding whatever horse I was training, to check our herd of cattle for new babies I often saw speckled fawns, rabbits, gophers and many birds, who kept me company as I explored the hills and coulees What a perfect way to start a day!
