Program Overview The Path To Eggcellence

Each student is given a “Path to Eggcellence Program Overview & Student Guidebook” and welcome packet when onboarding to the program. Inside their folder is an “Eggducation Tracker” with sleeves for students to fill with egg cards they earn throughout the program. Along the way, students will work in different roles and projects, attend workshops, and complete Egg Academy and LinkedIn Learning courses, among other activities, to fill their folders with as many egg cards as they desire.

Each egg and its iconography represent students’ achievements within the program. The undergraduate accelerated and graduate programs conclude when a student has obtained a golden egg representing mastery upon completing an individual or team mastery project and a personal portfolio. This particular egg card is required to complete the egg program.

When joining the program, student interns and employees apply to an area within the agency that falls within their initial skill set. This is their primary job for the agency. The student will execute projects for clients and develop professionally within this role. Starting with their first semester, the “incubation semester,” we onboard our students and offer supplemental education through experiential learning.

Each semester afterward, we encourage the exploration of different paths to find a preferred mastery track or leveling up in a single track. When students complete a semester-long track, they will be awarded an egg for their folder, signifying they have achieved a semester within this role at the agency, learning at least the day-to-day operations and skills at an introductory level by completing an associated pathway in the Egg Academy powered by LinkedIn Learning and three projects in this area while maintaining their employee workload. Students can attend workshops, field trips and other activities each semester to receive value eggs.

*NOTE: Students who are unsure or with no strong preference for a tracked specialty are welcome in this program to “eggsperiment.” Students may pursue a different track if they cannot perform the duties of a specific area. However, student employees are strongly encouraged to stick with it for at least one semester to develop a firsthand understanding of each agency role and learn skills they may not be exposed to otherwise. Students who do not complete a track at first are always welcome to attempt it later.

Students who strongly prefer any one-track specialty may pursue it throughout their entire “eggsperience,” but are strongly encouraged to explore opportunities for growth and experimentation with other agency roles before entering the workforce, a collaborative offering of the Egg program.
