NATIONAL SAAC UPDATE FROM PRESIDENT CAT RAGON Cat Ragon, President of the UAB Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is also the representative for Conference USA on the National Division I Executive Board. Cat has shared that there are some exciting updates coming our way in terms of student-athlete welfare, and improving and enhancing NCAA athletics. A survey will be distributed soon for the NCAA to assess and receive feedback from current student-athletes on time demands of their sport. The survey will be coming out via email to all student-athletes to provide this feedback. In addition to the time demand survey, 30 new proposals are getting ready to be released to the National SAAC Board to be reviewed by the members. The National SAAC Executive Board will be providing feedback on these proposals by the end of the semester.

WOMEN'S SOFTBALL TACKLES TIME MANAGEMENT & INTERVIEWING

On Monday, November 2, the ladies of UAB Softball gathered in two different groups to learn about effective time management, and interviewing skills. The ďŹ rst group learned about time management hands on by detailing out their schedule, and learning to put priorities ďŹ rst. The second group of softball players learned how to effectively interview by practicing interview questions and working with each other to strengthen their interview skills. Both workshops were given by Katie Letcher, Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Development and made a great impact on the ladies attending.
