SOFTBALL VOLUNTEERS WITH MIRACLE LEAGUE On Thursday, September 24 the UAB Softball team spent the evening playing with children involved in the Miracle League of Gardendale, a baseball ďŹ eld for children and adults of all abilities. Each member of the UAB Softball team was partnered with a buddy--a child of special needs and spent the entire evening with them playing baseball.
UABLEADERS START STRONG AND SET THE BAR HIGH On Tuesday, September 22 a group of student-athletes from a variety of teams came together to begin the new UABLeaders program implemented by Student-Athlete Development this fall. This group is comprised of student-athletes who have been selected by their coaches to further enhance their leadership skills through selfexploration, and challenges. UABLeaders is set to meet three more times throughout the course of the academic year to continue strengthening their leadership skills and relationships with other student-athletes at UAB through group activities.

254 Pairs of Shoes Donated IN SHOE DRIVE UAB Student-Athlete Development thanks all of the student-athletes, campus partners, and employers that came together to help us raise 254 pairs of shoes to donate to impoverished areas throughout the world!
