The Event Submission Form is the way the HQ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team collects your event information that will feed into the end of the year ERG Impact Report
Even if you are tracking on the event tracking excel for your local ERG, you must add each event to this form.

The Executive Sponsor serves as a guide to ensure that the ERG stays aligned to the overall company goals and remains true to their mission and in alignment with their strategy.
Level 7 and above
2 year minimum - 3 year maximum commitment. Must meet with BU ERG Leaders at least once annually. Participate in at least two ERG events annually.
Cultivate Leadership
Cultivate, empower and grow the leadership capabilities and support them as emerging leaders
Work with ERG leads on succession planning and selecting new leaders
Evaluate the group ' s structure and governance and recommend re-engineering, when necessary, with an eye toward enhancing effectiveness, visibility, and impact.
Help ERG gain access to budget, tools, and other resources needed for events or initiatives
Enhance Visibility
Serve as a visible and vocal advocate for the ERG when interacting with senior leadership and other leaders internally and externally.
Encourage active participation and engagement from office location leaders and middle managers in ERG efforts
Elevate discussions about growing membership and increasing engagement
Aligned Strategic Focus
Eliminate barriers to ensure ERG Network meets its goals. Provide insights to leaders regarding Turner’s overall business strategies and objectives
Assure that ERG completes its annual strategic planning meeting to develop goals and budget for the upcoming year
Support organization of town hall meetings with ERG leaders on behalf of the ERG board to listen and learn of issues. Work with the DE&I team to address challenges

Recognize they may be busy or unsure how to engage. Approach the situation with curiosity, not criticism.
Tip: Ask open-ended questions like, “What level of involvement feels realistic for you?” or “Is there a way we can make participation easier or more meaningful for you?”
Make sure both parties are aligned on what the sponsor role entails.
Tip: Share a brief outline of what support looks like—e.g., attending events, offering visibility, advocating for resources.
Give them simple, time-friendly ways to show support.
Share a short message they can post internally
Invite them to give a 2-minute intro at an event
Send regular, concise updates on ERG activities and wins—even if they can’t attend everything.
Tip: A monthly email with bullet-point highlights can go a long way.
If a big ask is coming, give them advance notice and be specific about what you need.
Tip: Frame it in terms of impact “Your presence would mean a lot to our members and shows leadership cares about this work”

Bringing together all ERG leaders from different ERG Networks within an office location for a collaboration meeting creates space for alignment, idea sharing, and collective impact It helps avoid overlap, encourages cross-ERG partnerships, and strengthens communication By working together, ERG leaders can amplify each other’s efforts, support shared goals, and build a more connected and inclusive culture across the office location
At minimum, meet once a year with all ERG leaders in your office location. It is the responsibility of the ERG leaders to plan and lead these meetings.
Review upcoming plans and events to: Avoid overlap between ERGs.
Support each others events and help grow attendance.
Find where you can collaborate when possible.
Align on goals
Ensure ERG activities being planned support broader office location and company goals
Exchange ideas and best practices
Discuss common challenges and identify ways to elevate ERG visibility and impact together
