JOINING THE TULSA TID
ABOUT YOUR TOURISM IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
Tulsa Tourism Improvement District No. 1 (also called “the TID,” “the District”) was created by a City of Tulsa City Council resolution in November 2018 for the sole purpose of funding marketing services reasonably calculated to increase occupancy and room rates at participating hotels.
TID FUND USES
Serve as an event closing incentive to equip Tulsa with a competitive edge against competing destinations
Market Tulsa as a travel destination with Tulsa-based events to targeted audiences in desired markets
TID Properties
The TID is comprised of City of Tulsa hotels with 110+ rooms as well as properties that have contracted with the City to opt into the TID. As of July 2023, 32 hotels are part of TID’s hotel list.

Report Access – TID hotel properties are provided insightful data throughout the year including:
ǎ STR (Smith Travel Research) reports - additional TID segmented data
ǎ TID destination marketing performance (quarterly)
ǎ TID-supported events performance (quarterly)
ǎ TID financial summaries
Booking Opportunities – When the TID fund is used to secure event business, the event organizer agrees to use a room block comprised of TID hotels
Marketing Exposure – Additional marketing benefits are allotted to TID hotels including:
360º VIRTUAL TOURS
(currently via Threshold 360)
A photo shoot is scheduled with the TID lodging properties to enhance its digital footprint for destination marketing
ONLINE BOOKING REFERRAL
(currently via Book>Direct)
The only hotels with direct booking referral options on the destination marketing site are TID hotels
