Essential Tips

What is a Brand Refresh, and When Should I Refresh My Brand?

A brand refresh is the process of updating your existing branding and messaging elements, including, but not limited to, your logo, tagline, brand voice, messaging, website design, collateral pieces, signage and more. It can be a great option to help breathe new life into your brand, launch new products or target a new market

Why would I do a refresh?

Maybe you’ve had your existing brand for quite a while, and it hasn’t stood the test of time. Or maybe it just doesn’t represent your brand accurately anymore. As your business grows and evolves, so should your brand. You want to be sure it represents who you are and what you do and conveys key elements of what makes you unique Prospective buyers and employees want to be sure they’re working with a company that invests in keeping itself up-to-date, and a refreshed brand can do just that

How is it different from rebranding?

A brand refresh is a little less complex in its execution and uses elements that have already been developed, but changes them slightly. It’s often at a lower price point than a complete rebranding.

On the other hand, a full rebrand would completely reinvent your branding elements This is best for when a business has drastically changed direction, maybe even changed its name A refresh is a good option for when your core business hasn’t changed, but you want your look and feel to remain modern and up-to-date.

Whether you’re looking for a new logo, tagline or a refresh on your current branding, our brand strategy team will work together with you to create the brand elements that reflect who your company is today and where it’s headed in the future. Our process is in-depth yet easy and seamless. Learn more about our process here.

The City of Troy is in the beginning stages of developing the City’s next comprehensive plan. What is a comprehensive plan? Google describes a comprehensive plan as, “…an opportunity for citizens to provide a vision for the future of the community along with the steps that are needed to make that vision a reality. It is the basis for land use regulations and provides a nexus between the community's future vision and the regulation of private property.” In other words, this is YOUR opportunity to give your opinion on what the City of Troy could be in 20 years As business and community leaders your input is vital in making the comprehensive plan a living and working document
