Need
to Change Your Class Registration? Here’s What to Know:
If you’re thinking about dropping a class, it’s important to do it the right way. Simply not showing up won’t automatically drop you, and that can cause problems down the road. Up until 4 p.m. on the Friday of Week 1, you can easily drop a class online and get a full refund on your tuition and fees.
Starting Monday in Week 2, any changes to your schedule, whether adding or dropping a class—will need to be done using a paper form with your signature. If you drop without adding the same number of credits, you might only get up to a 50% refund. And don’t forget there’s a $50 late fee for registration changes during Week 2.
After Week 2 (the 10th day of the quarter), things get a bit trickier. You’ll need to submit a petition to add or drop a class, and there’s a $100 late fee.
But don’t worry, TRIO is here to help!
If you’re unsure about the process or need help making changes, your TRIO advisor is just a message away.
One last thing: If you receive financial aid, keep in mind that dropping below 12 credits could lower the amount of aid you receive. Make sure to check with Financial Aid before making changes!

Community Events and Resources
Democracy: Local to Global: In 2024, elections are happening in the United States, India, Brazil, Nigeria, the U.K. and over 50 other countries. While elections are an important part of Democracy, so is taking direct action by getting involved with your local community, participating in local politics, and supporting others in being civically engaged.
At The Evergreen State College this year, we are committed to:
Supporting student voting
Hosting and promoting events that engage our community in considering our roles in civic discourse
Holding space for and providing resources to support our community beyond the election.
Please visit this curated list of events and resources, focusing on how students can engage with the democratic process at multiple levels. There are at least a couple more events in the works that will be included on the website, including a November 18 post-election panel that Savvina Chowdhury and Zoltan Grossman are organizing.
