JUNIOR SCHOOL WATER POLO
The 2018 water polo season was a challenging one, but that didn’t break the true Trinity spirit. We had some new kids join this season and all of them were great team mates who displayed good teamwork, effort and sportsmanship. Water polo has its challenges; trying to keep yourself afloat for a long time, trying to focus on what do in a difficult pass or throw when people are crowding and yelling close to you and the blaring heat on our bare skin. Considering these challenges, I think Trinity Junior School had a fantastic season of water polo.
This year we had many phenomenal players and moments. At the start of the year, both teams weren’t calling out and asking for the ball but the last match of the season we saw great improvement because everyone was saying “I am on 13” or “pass it here” whereas before, it was silent.
I thank the coaches: Mr Luke Starkie (’16) and Miss Adelaide Garland for giving us the support we needed and thanks to Mr Luke Thompson for organising the fixtures and making water polo happen. Jack Scacchia-Maher (6W)
