HOUSE SWIMMING CARNIVAL

In Term 1, the Junior School had their House Swimming Carnival. In the weeks leading up to the event all the boys took part in trials, so they could represent their House at the carnival. The boys swam in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly and team games. The event was all about participation and having fun, while getting a chance to race for our House and even make the inter-school team.

Xavier had a very dominant day, winning across all year groups. The highlight for us was being able to lift the cup. The final event of the carnival was especially great as the Xavier team won it for the third year in a row, but the other Houses were all very close to each other, making for exciting races. The crowd was very vocal so there was a great atmosphere.

We thank Mr Thompson, Miss Garland and the rest of the staff for organising the event.
