Mrs Sarah Wilkie Year 5 Green

What a wonderful year it has been in 5 Green. We have had many fun times. We have worked hard at achieving our goals and it has been a pleasure to see the boys continue to develop and strive towards realising their potential. Here are some of their favourite moments.

My favourite event this year was …

…camp, because it was such a different experience. I really gained a lot from it. William Rowney

…visiting Fremantle Literacy Centre to see one of my favourite book illustrators, Terry Denton. Luke Grattoggi

…the chess tournaments. My team worked really well together and I made some new friends. James Hoang

…going to camp at Forest Edge. It was great because we were there as a whole class. I loved the BIG flying fox! Ethan Regan

…going to the WACA I met English cricketers, as well as WA players. Joshua McIntyre

…camp, because I had a fear of heights, but I conquered it! Jonah Bosio

…the Sports Carnival. I did really well in the shot put and discus events. Trent Smith

The thing I will miss most about Year 5 will be …

…my new friends. I might get split up from them next year. Luke Iacopetta

…the positive feeling that you get around the classroom every day. Max Ryan

…dancing to the radio. It was really, really funny! Michael Boffey

The funniest moment of Year 5 was …

…when Mrs Wilkie said she had braces on her bottom. Then she added “bottom teeth”. Michael French

…when Mrs Wilkie was scared of a fake snake. She actually screamed! James Nixon

…when we formed a conga line, went outside and walked around the courtyard singing an opera song. Cameron Pell

…when a bird flew straight into the classroom window. SPLAT! Oscar Steegstra

…when Mrs Wilkie was saying spelling sentences, she mispronounced one and ended up saying “braces on your bottom”! Angus Holmes

…when people in the class would say funny things, sometimes by accident, we all laughed and Mrs Wilkie would join in. Wilson Nguyen

The worst thing about Year 5 was …

…NAPLAN tests. I’m glad they are only every second year. Julian Raschilla

…the homework. Sometimes it was the last thing you felt like doing. Nicholas Croll

…the way Mrs Wilkie and I didn’t match. She HATES snakes and I love them! Adrian Sinagra

…NAPLAN. Three days of solid testing! Caleb Webb

Next year I am looking forward to …

…our end of year excursion to Adventure World. So many rides! Jess Higgins

…being the oldest students in the Junior School. I will show the Year 4s around. Jason Landon

…possibly becoming a House Captain. It would be a great honour. Reece Gerrand

…the Year 6 camp to Kalgoorlie. I think it will be fascinating. Harrison Hamlyn

…becoming leaders of the Junior School. It will be a privilege. Willem Lamers

…running for House Captain of Campion. Another goal is to be in the A rugby team. Lucas Arvino

…having a good teacher. I had a great one this year and last year in Year 4 Blue. Tristan Bottega
