College Auxiliary
This year for the Auxiliary was as always a busy and enjoyable time. The events that are supported by the Auxiliary throughout the year continue to grow and we are always astounded by the support of the College Community that ensures these events are a success.

For the first time the Auxiliary hosted an Information night for new Mums to the College. This provided a great opportunity for Mums to ask those questions of current Mums that, sometimes Mums only know the answer to. We look forward to continuing this information night for 2014 and beyond.
Our biggest ever Grandparents morning tea was also held this year and was enjoyed by all who attended. It was wonderful to see many former students with their grandsons, reminiscing of their days spent at Trinity.
Our guest speaker for this year’s Auxiliary Morning Tea was Mrs Tonya McCusker, the wife of the Governor of WA. Mrs McCusker entertained all in attendance with stories of her fascinating life, and also the highlights and trials of raising a young family at Government House. Fund raising efforts at the morning tea meant the Auxiliary was able to contribute to this year’s Trinity College India Pilgrimage.
Our traditional Melbourne Cup Luncheon was again co-hosted with the Mercedes College P&F. Whilst enjoying the hospitality of the Novotel, the two colleges were able to forge new friendships and strengthen old ones.
In addition we also held our Ladies Long Lunch at Market and Co, Cupcakes and Coffee night and the now annual Trinity Mothers weekend away at Camp Kelly. The Auxiliary also provided support to TOBA functions and supported many other groups at the College.
My thanks to our outgoing office bearers for 2013:
Rita Rocca (Vice President), your continued and valued support of the Auxiliary is very much appreciated.
To our new and continuing officer bearers, Sharon Maher (Vice President), Lee Loughnan (Secretary), Stacey Kannis (Treasurer), Christina Miller (Junior School Vice-President) and Kim Rees (Kitchen Co-ordinator), my thanks for your support and hard work over the past year.
A special mention must also go to Annemarie Harris and Kathryn Taggart, outgoing Year 12 mums, for their support of the Auxiliary for many years.
To Sharon Maher, who this year stepped down as President, we offer our upmost thanks for her outstanding service, not only to the Auxiliary, but also to the whole Trinity College community. Sharon is the definition of ‘TC Spirit’ and her commitment to the Auxiliary has seen it become an essential part of the inner workings of the College.
To our Headmaster Ivan Banks and College Staff, we thank you for your unwavering support of the Auxiliary. And finally to the amazing ladies of the Auxiliary, to those who help out a lot and to those who offer help when they can, my sincerest thanks. You are all truly “Women for Others”.
