The p rog ress seen in m y c lients is a m a zing . I ha ve a lso worked with youth a thletes who a re d evelop ing g rea tly in their sp ort throug h the use of sp ort sp ec ific susp ension. ROTARY GIVING BACK INITIATIVE Gordano Breakfast Rotary Club is reviving ?Giving Back?- a forum for people running charities and community groups in the local area, to discuss common issues and challenges. It provides an opportunity for Portishead?s growing and changing population to understand the wealth of ways in which they can give back to the thriving community. The Long Ashton Orchestra will perform a free concert in Portishead Methodist Church on the High Street on 28th January starting at 7.30pm. Tea, coffee and homemade cakes will be on sale during the interval and donations will be welcomed on the door at the end of the concert. All funds will go towards Za Foundation's work with a vulnerable community in South Africa.

BOWLS CLUB FUNDRAISING The men?s section of the Portishead Bowls Club raised funds for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) in 2023 by holding raffles and fining members for minor misdemeanours! At the club?s AGM members were delighted to present a cheque for £1,150 to Robin Jacques, a GWAAC trustee and former patient. GWAAC provides emergency care to people who are in a state so critical that they require the specialist skills of the air ambulance at the scene of an accident or medical incident. GWAAC saves lives across Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, North Somerset and parts of Wiltshire and although the organisation is part of the regional 999 response service and works closely with NHS hospitals, GWAAC is a charity funded entirely by fundraising efforts and donations from the public. 54 54
