Dear Community Partner, The Town of Hope Mills Parks and Recreation Department presents a multitude of special events and programs annually that bring our community together. Through these events and programs, we strive to make a positive impact on citizens of all ages, building traditions and a sense of community for our residents, their families, neighbors and friends.

Our Parks and Recreation facilities, amenities, and events bring thousands of people to Hope Mills each year.

Whether they come to enjoy the beauty of our parks, our programs, our athletic fields, our unique special events, or the majesty of Hope Mills Lake, the Parks and Recreation Department is a cornerstone in this community.

With the help of our community partners, we fulfill our goal of continually providing diverse recreational opportunities and that allows us to deliver top-notch programming at little to no cost to our community members.

Support Our Parks Through our Commemorative Tree & Bench Program you can establish a memorial, while adding to the beauty of the Town of Hope Mills Parks. Purchasing a tree or bench is a perfect way to celebrate a special occasion or lasting memorial to a loved one. Trees and Benches may be purchased anytime throughout the year, but tree planting will take place in the spring and fall only. Park staff will help determine the location for the tree or bench.

COMMEMORATIVE TREE PROGRAM Donations are gratefully accepted by the Park’s and Recreation Department for the continued beautification of our parks, golf course, and city facilities.

Trees are an integral part of everyone’s life, because of the cooling their shade provides, habitat for wildlife, the economic value they bring to the community, and the shear beauty they provide.

That’s why the planting of a tree is a perfect way to mark a special occasion such as a birth or marriage or to commemorate the life of a friend or relative with a living memorial.

A donation of $300.00 or more will be used to buy a specific tree for planting in a park or the golf course. Donations will be recognized by an engraved plate at the planted tree location with a message indicating that a tree has been planted to commemorate a special event.

MEMORIAL PARK BENCH PROGRAM A memorial park bench within one of our beautiful parks is a wonderful way to honor your loved ones and something for all park patrons to enjoy for many years to come. Your generous contribution supports Hope Mills Parks & Recreation while also enhancing the park itself and leaving a lasting memory. We will work with you to choose your park or natural area location, identify the perfect onsite spot for installation, and craft a special inscribed plaque message.

Benches may be purchased by businesses, groups, or individuals in honor of a group or individual as determined by the sponsor. The fee for each bench, including purchase, delivery, installation and commemorative memorial plaque is $3,000. *Swing Benches may be purchased for Hope Mills Lake Park Only. More information available upon request.

Naming right opportunities are taxdeductible as support is utilized for a public purpose.
