Tomorrowland Today 2025 | Incredible Saturday

Page 1

PEOPLE OF TOMORROW,

The impossible has happened, friends: after an outpouring of love from People of Tomorrow worldwide, the incredible production and construction crews worked round the clock to rebuild the Mainstage, and Tomorrowland was able to go through mostly as planned. To all those who helped out – those who cleared the debris, the ones working safety & security, the builders and technicians, equipment suppliers, coordinators, drivers, runners, and everyone else involved (you know who you are!): thank you for pouring your heart and soul into this. Thanks to your work, yesterday, the gates opened to welcome thousands upon thousands of sparkling souls who were more ready than ever to make the most of it. Of course, the true believers never doubted for a second that this would be the way of things; and yet, the elation when the announcement finally came was palpable. DreamVille

as a whole rallied its spirits, enjoying a slow morning before moving en masse to the place of their hearts’ desire – the domain of Tomorrowland proper, the place where it all happens… the Holy Grounds. While the adventurous amongst the throng flew out across the site to gawk at stages big and small, a crowd congregated by the newly re-erected Mainstage, cheering on crew as they put the finishing touches to the new edifice, built up in the span of less than 48 hours. And when the barriers finally came down, friends – pandemonium. The crowd stormed the stage as one, and instantly, it was clear what was in store for us all this weekend: all the unity that we ever could have wished for, and perhaps even more. Let’s carry that energy into today, friends, and make this chapter of Tomorrowland one to never forget.

UPBEAT SOUNDS GALORE

Saturday’s music is bound to put a smile on everyone’s face. Take Alan Walker’s slow-grooving sing-along hits that will form one of the highlights of the Mainstage, where you’ll also find Miss Monique spinning her sunny, smoothly grooving club sounds. Whoever’s ready to be put in a trance might want to head to the Freedom stage for sets by Chris Avantgarde and Armin van Buuren. House music top figure James Hype will do his thing at Crystal Garden and if you’re looking to unleash some proper energy we highly recommend heading over to Atmosphere for wholesome 140 BPM sets by Indira Paganotto and James Mason. Smile, as these sounds are for you!

THANKS ARE IN ORDER!

To all crew, suppliers, and other kind souls who made the impossible possible over the last few days: a massive thanks, and all the love in the world! Tomorrowland is forever grateful to you!

the day has come

Freshly awake from their first night at DreamVille, the People of Tomorrow slowly prepare for the day. At the showers, people rinse off the fatigue from last night’s Gathering, while at the Gym, the active types are out to get those muscles pumping. Across the campsite, coffee is flowing as breakfast provides energy for another sensational day. Make-up paints the faces of Tomorrow, campers donning masks of whoever – or whatever – they most wish to be today. Above all, the adventurous spirits of the Dreamers can’t be crushed. They’re already celebrating the memories they’ve made so far, and patiently, they await the moment to enter the Holy Grounds and unite as one – a moment that, blessedly, is arriving after all today!

“I fell asleep to the musical rhythm of my friend snoring,” laughs Kristina from Chicago. “Not quite as good as the beats at The Gathering, but hey, waking up in DreamVille with sunshine all around? I’ll take it!”
Julie and Zizi from Luxembourg smile with a hint of regret. “We were way too tired to pitch all our tents yesterday,” says Julie. “So we saved one for this morning… maybe not the smartest plan, but definitely a memorable one.”

GET FRESHENED UP

Freshen up with Old Spice! Try the iconic perfume quality scent at the Refreshment Points or near the Shower Zones, so you can relax about looking, feeling, and smelling A+. Now that you have regained fresh confidence, it is probably time for a little adventure. Go on the Ultimate Freshness hunt and unlock unique prizes during and after the festival via the Official Tomorrowland app. After that, venture to the waterside behind Brasa, where the Old Spice Boat is awaiting your arrival. Because nothing quite says ‘fresh’ like a breeze over the water, right? ENTER WITH A BANG

Thrillseekers, happy chaps, and curious wallflowers: get ready to kickstart your festival days with a burst of positive energy like only Red Bull can do. Powered by a twenty-strong marching band including dancers as well as musicians, the Red Bull DreamVille Parade starts at the Marketplace at 13:00 sharp every festival day, and guides you to the gates of the Holy Grounds in the best possible way. Music, dance, spectacle, and camaraderie: surprises always abound. By ways of a little hint: keep your eyes peeled to the skies above, and you may be amazed!

Whether you feel like you know Tomorrowland like the back of your hand, or you’re completely new here: the impressive Brussels Airlines Ferris wheel – The ‘Home of Amare’ – is a must-visit. The birds-eye view from up above makes it a great starting point for exploring the Holy Grounds, as well as giving a unique perspective on a world others think they already know inside out. Towering over the Freedom Stage, stepping into a cabin offers a unique escape. Ascending, the music dims to bring you closer to inner peace. As you move skyward, the world stretches out below you, creating the perfect setting for a moment of reflection. Being at the very top of this weekend’s world is equal parts thrilling and captivating. Going back down, you slowly re-enter the hustle and bustle, rejoining the magic with fresh eyes and ears. After your ride, stay a litte longer, unwind in the Brussels Airlines lounge area, and enjoy the music.

THE ART OF STAGE HOSTING

The popularity of drum & bass is on the rise, and Belgian producer Andromedik, alias Axel Demarbaix, is one of its brightest stars. After the success of his 2024 Atmosphere hosting, it only made sense for Tomorrowland to ask him to reiterate his Andromedik Invites programme with a day out on the Rose Garden. Andromedik is an excellent DJ and producer, but curating a line-up is a wholly different ballgame – an art we needed to ask him more about. How do you find the right artists for a hosting, and is it the done thing to play each other’s songs? And what is your own role as the convener of a day like this? We found the answers to these questions and many more, when we caught up with the drum & bass prodigy right before the start of a Friday jam-packed with breakbeats.

Axel, we can’t skip this part – how did you get through the past few days? You must have been relieved to hear that your hosting could go ahead despite everything?

“My manager was the first to call me to say that there’d been a fire. He wanted to set the right expectations, but my stress was nothing compared to the organisation’s. In the end we just shifted the schedule by one hour and that was that. I was so happy to hear that doing so wasn’t a problem at all!”

Hosting a stage must be quite a lot of work. Where do you start when Tomorrowland sends you such an honourable invitation?

“I start by making an overview of the artists I love, which is a process that’s not too dissimilar to putting together a Spotify playlist. I start looking for possibilities with people that are friends of mine, but who are also just killing it with their music. In addition to that, I always look for exciting new artists, who I think deserve to play at Tomorrowland and reach a new audience by doing so.”

Being an in-demand young artist, you must be on the bill with artists you admire often. Are there artists on this curation that you looked up to as a youngster?

ANDROMEDIK INVITES

ANDROMEDIK ANDROMEDIK

“I’M ON THE DANCEFLOOR AS MUCH AS I CAN. THIS IS MY ABSOLUTE DREAM LINE-UP!”

“For sure! Metrik is one of them. To me, he’s one of the founding fathers of the kind of dancefloororiented drum & bass that was hot when I got into the genre. His sound is really rocky, energetic, and bombastic. Whenever he’s got a new track out, myself and other producers are always stunned by his crystal-clear, brand-new sounds. It always leaves us wondering: how did he pull that off? We instantly get into technical conversations about snare drums and things like that when we hear his music, haha!”

Did you manage to secure any other old heroes for the line-up?

“I’m also stoked about having Camo & Krooked on the bill. They are among the first drum & bass artists I discovered as a teenager, along with Netsky. Compared to Metrik’s ultra-energetic sound, theirs is more refined and cinematic, but equally incredible to me.”

You were mentored by Belgian drum & bass legend DJ Murdock as a younger artist. He helped your career take off by inviting you to play at his Rampage events. Who are you helping with that extra bit of exposure today?

“Well, Pirapus are two young guys from New Zealand, but they don’t really need a push anymore, because literally every other drum & bass artist is watching them at the moment. Every tune they’re putting out is a Beatport number one, which means that everyone else also plays their tunes. You’ll hear their productions all day long, even when they’re not on the stage. They’re here as part of their first ever European tour, which lasts from May until September. I think that says enough!”

Aren’t you stealing another artist’s thunder when you play their stuff while they are also on the bill?

“I usually handle this kind of thing with care, and you’re absolutely right. I won’t play any tracks by artists who are playing after me. But Pirapus are just asking for it – I wouldn’t be doing this to them if their music wasn’t so unbelievably good!”

What do you do once you have your list of artists? How do you decide who plays when?

“It usually comes down to ‘whoever’s biggest plays last’. The up-and-coming artists play earlier in the day. You want a certain build-up of energy during the day as well. Fortunately, you don’t really need to force this with anyone; DJs will look at the line-

up and adjust their set to whoever’s playing next. Artists opening the stage won’t play peaktime sets in that slot. If you take your job seriously aa DJ, you know this.”

Drum & bass is quite different from the other genres that Tomorrowland is known for. It has breakbeats, for one thing. What are the key qualities of a good drum and bass DJ?

“Mixing drum and bass is technically quite difficult, because it’s a really fast genre at about 174 BPM.”

That’s a very precise quantification, Axel. (Laughs) “Well, yes, most drum & bass tracks have exactly that tempo. Within our style of music, you’ll play up to 55 tracks in an hour, which means that you’re constantly mixing. There is a lot of multi-tasking involved, because you still need to keep a connection going with the crowd. Great DJs know when to give a track a little more space. Let it breathe, is what I like to say. It’s okay to play ‘only’ 40 tunes. Great DJs create really big moments, but also slow down every now and then to give their audience some time to relax.”

You probably started going to raves yourself before becoming professionally involved in the industry. Do you still take the time to enjoy Andromedik Invites from the perspective of the dancefloor?

“Definitely, as much as I can! Everyone who is up on that stage is someone I would have liked to see if I were visiting Tomorrowland. It’s my absolute dream line-up!”

“GREAT DJS ALSO SLOW DOWN EVERY NOW AND THEN TO GIVE THEIR AUDIENCE SOME TIME TO RELAX.”

EATING, FAST & SLOW

A CULINARY JOURNEY THROUGH RHYTHM & REST

At Tomorrowland, rhythm is everything. It pulses through your body on the dancefloor and travels through your senses in every bite you take. Just like a great track or remix, our food journey flows between tempo shifts – fast and energizing when you’re on the move to catch your favourite artist, slow and soulful when it’s time to rest and recharge. At Tomorrowland, you can find a choice of options to suit both of those moods. So without further ado: choose whether you’re looking for a drop or a breakdown, and find our best menu suggestions for either!

THE DROP THE BREAKDOWN FAST FOOD & QUICK BITES

Sometimes the music calls for speed. The beat rises, the crowd roars, your energy peaks. You’re chasing the moment, and you need food that can keep up. That’s where our fast food hits come in: the ultimate handheld harmonies to fuel your next dancefloor mission.

TOMORROWLAND VEGGIE BURGER

This plant-powered powerhouse is made for front-row moments: a soft bun filled with a juicy soy burger, cheddar, crisp lettuce, red onion pickles, and Tomorrowland’s signature sauce. Grab it, groove on, and keep the party moving.

SLOW FOOD & SOUL NOURISHMENT

Every track has a breakdown. A moment to breathe, to sink deeper, to connect. That’s when slow food becomes your melody. Pull up a chair, stretch your legs, and indulge in a sensory experience that moves to a different rhythm – still tuned in to the music, just on another frequency.

PERUVIAN FOOD BY SARA CARILLO

Chef Sara Carillo brings Peruvian soul straight to your hands. Whether it’s the pulled pork anticuchero taco or a butifarra turkey burger, these fiery bites pack vibrant flavor and festivalready energy. It’s world cuisine at high tempo: bite, dance, repeat.

MUSSELS BY BACCHUS

From their harbour in Antwerp to the shores of Tomorrowland’s Papillon area, Bistr’eau Bacchus sails in with Belgian-French seafood finesse. Settle in and enjoy steaming mussels served with golden fries. Hospitality, heritage and harmony – this is slow food with soul.

BELGIAN CLASSICS

A year-round restaurant nestled in the heart of the Holy Grounds, the Belgian Classics brasserie invites you to a relaxed three-course dinner. Start with a croquette of spicy ‘Antwerps Pikantje’ cheese, savour a perfectly balanced steak tartare, and dive into a heartwarming vol-au-vent or stew – served with a cold Tripel Karmeliet or Leffe Blond. This is Belgium, plated to perfection.

TOMORROWLAND WAFFLE

Right in your hand, right to the beat. This butterfly-shaped waffle is a chocolate-laced tribute to joy, crafted by Belgian star chef Roger Van Damme. Taken to the dancefloor, this iconic treat is pure sweetness on the go.

INTO THE FIRES OF BRASA

When your heart craves some warmth, let the flames do the talking. At Brasa, premium rib of ‘Belgisch witblauw’ cattle is grilled over the open fire, paired with vibrant sides like lentil salad, roasted carrots with gremolata, or creamy polenta with celeriac and berries. With a view of the lake and the fire as your rhythm, you’ll taste the primal pulse of the festival in every bite.

Sam

Hey Brother

“‘Hey Brother’ has personal significance for me because it makes me very nostalgic. When I moved away to university, my sister always used to sing that song to me, it was our favorite.”

Benjamin Levels

“No other DJ has ever come close to what Avicii did, and still does, as his music lives on. He’s put his soul into every song, and he sends an incredible message every time: Live, Love, and Unite.”

FADE NOT INTO DARKNESS

Prior to his untimely passing in 2018, Tim Bergling made an impact unlike anyone else on hundreds of thousands of fans as well as the sound of electronic music in general. Now, ten years after Avicii’s final Tomorrowland performance, the festival is honouring the late, great producer with a tribute installation called Avicii Forever. Located behind the Mainstage, Avicii Forever is only accessible on reservation, allowing fans the chance to remember him in peace, reliving his legacy through unique images and visuals. And what a story it has to tell: Avicii’s bond with Tomorrowland began in 2011 with his surprise Mainstage debut of ‘Levels’. He then returned yearly up until his final appearance in 2015, leaving an everlasting mark on the Holy Grounds. Three years after his passing in 2018 came a first tribute to him, when People of Tomorrow held up a gigantic Swedish flag in the crowd. It was a celebration of his life and music, and especially a eulogy to his message of love, which keeps uniting people to this day and earned him a place in the heart of most, if not all, People of Tomorrow. It’s this feeling of unity and love that is remembered at the Avicii Forever Tribute first and foremost. In order to get a feeling for how Avicii has touched people’s lives, we asked a few fans coming out of the Tribute about their favourite Avicii song, how they remember him, and what they would say to him if he was still with us today.

Kristof Levels

“I was here for all of Avicii’s sets and I’d like to remember him as a young guy who was full of life when he was in a good place. I think for a lot of people, he was Mr. Tomorrowland Mainstage.”

AVICII FOREVER THE TRIBUTE

Mirka Levels

“I was at Coachella when Tim passed away. We were on the campsite when we got the news and we were devastated. I wish I had a way to thank him for everything.”

Alyssa I Could Be the One

“He is the reason I am here today. Because of him, I fell in love with EDM, and he really shaped the way that the music sounds today. I’ll forever be thankful for him and his impact on the music industry.”

DRESSED FOR TOMORROW

PAOLA JAMIE

Colombia

Paola is serving pure power in allblack. Her handmade two-piece is the ultimate rave look: fierce, bold, and deeply personal. Techno inspires her aesthetic, and every detail of her outfit screams confidence. “It took me weeks to finish this outfit, but it was so worth it,” she says. Paola loves to turn heads and bring her own statement style to Tomorrowland, proving that craftsmanship and attitude create the perfect festival fashion moment.

Tomorrowland is a runway of self-expression. Between the pounding beats, lights, and smiling faces, every outfit tells a story. The People of Tomorrow embrace the chance to celebrate creativity, from vintage gems to handmade statements and cultural influences. We spoke with five style icons who bring their own unique twist to festival fashion. Their looks capture the true spirit of Tomorrowland: bold, free, unforgettable, and ready to own the dancefloor.

FABIO, SYRIO & EVANDRO

Sicily, Italy

With matching fierce blue hair and bold, coordinated outfits, Fabio, Syrio, and Evandro bring pure energy. Growing up, the brothers and their cousin loved matching looks, and that tradition is still alive at Tomorrowland. Each individual adds a personal twist, creating a trio that feels both united and unique. Their style icon? Italian rapper Geolier. Fabio’s Tomorrowland Butterfly Head Scarf ties perfectly into his striking white-and-red outfit.

MARIA

Spain

Crochet is back and better! Maria loves to blend the free-flowing ‘70s hippie aesthetic with streetstyle urban baggy shorts. This creates a playful mix of past and present styles. The Tomorrowland Icon Crochet Bucket Hat gives her beige outfit that extra dynamic and colourful flair. Maria believes that fashion is about blending contrasts, and her look is there to prove it: nostalgic textures meet modern fashion pieces, making her stand out wherever the music drops.

Finland

Thrifting and recycling clothes are a big yes for Jamie. She had plans for a specific outfit to buy already, but a second look in her closet convinced her that rewearing is better for the planet than buying new. Today she’s rocking her mum’s ‘80s vintage t-shirt, thrifted green bandanas, and the Tomorrowland Slogan Belt Bag. With a grunge-meets-Tumblr inspired style and a badass attitude, Jamie owns every beat on the dancefloor of the Rave Cave.

MARIO

Mexico

Culture and fashion are inseparable for Mario. His military shorts, crafted by a Mexican designer, are the showstoppers today. “Designers from my country deserve more recognition,” he says. “There’s so much talent waiting to be seen.” Mario proudly mixes traditional influences with festival-ready energy, celebrating Mexican creativity with every piece he wears. For him, Tomorrowland is the perfect stage to showcase the bold, authentic style that keeps his roots alive.

THE GREAT LIBRARY GATEWAY TO A MAGICAL UNIVERSE

When it comes to new stage designs, there is a lot more to discover than you might think this weekend. Most importantly, The Great Library, formerly known as The Library, has now outgrown the larger-than-life collection of books you may remember from last year. The world of stories and ideas, after all, goes beyond the mere physical; it is a spirited and living reflection of existence itself, and it never remains still for long. So what has it turned into in terms of tangible matter? The Great Library comes in the form of a lush dome of adventure, fully embedded in nature. This, dear People of Tomorrow, is a physical building that thrives on serenity and wisdom – it carries the spirit of every single world that has become familiar to you throughout the years, all the pillars that form our universe of magic. Even if seeing The Great Library for the first time evokes a certain degree of speechlessness, several onlookers were willing to share their own reactions to this monumental new addition to the Holy Grounds.

CHRIS

I love the natural bridge, it looks so real and atmospheric with the green moss and all. I’m definitely coming back for Hardwell’s set this evening – his energy is incredible!”

IJANA & ANGENI

“The stage is so green! It’s almost like it forms a natural part of the environment. The trains entering the tunnels add a great sense of adventure to the composition. And is that Cinderella, depicted in the stained-glass window?”

CALIN & MONICA

Calin: “I know new techniques come with endless possibilities, but I love how the LEDs are nicely embedded within a robust physical framework in this design. I also appreciate that the stage is a lot more open than before, when the bars were located closer to the center.”

ANISSA & NOA

“We remember the previous design, it was books as far as the eye could see. This one has even more grandeur, the massive Roman-style pillars are majestic!”

DIVE BEHIND THE DECKS

This weekend is all about music: you’ll have goosebumps from partying it up to your all-time favourite artists, and discover new-to-you tracks and DJs throughout. But have you ever stepped behind the decks yourself? At the Coke Studio, you can discover how to work the turntables, create special audio effects, and dream aloud about spinning at one of your treasured festival’s many stages. Coca-Cola has lined up a battery of DJ gear for you to have a try at, with basic lessons from renowned DJs to help you start your musical journey.

The pop-up Coke Studio is located at the heart of the festival, right next to the Rise Stage. Here, fresh talent brings their best all weekend, as they are one step ahead to making their Tomorrowland dreams come true. Looking for an extra push to visit? Every day at 20:00, something special is set to happen!

MAIN-STREAM

MAINSTAGE TRIBUTE

After the tragic misfortune of Wednesday, people all around the world were mourning the beloved Mainstage of Tomorrowland. The Holy Grounds suffered a great loss, but the People of Tomorrow kept their spirits up – and in order to express their heartache, members of the crowd brought flowers to the Mainstage even as crews were still at work to rebuild it. Once again, it is evident the magic of Tomorrowland can’t be wrecked, and love and unity transcend hardship!

Tune in to the sound of the Tomorrowland Mainstage with the official Tomorrowland Mainstage playlist on all streaming services. Close your eyes, put on your headphones, turn the volume up so the neighbours can join in on the madness, and treat yourself to the tracks and remixes that embody the festival spirit. The official playlist is curated by Tomorrowland Music, the festival’s very own in-house music label, a seal of approval guaranteeing you all killer and no filler.

REFRESHING MELODIES

bar. With artists behind the decks all day, every day, this is the perfect stop to enjoy some refreshing melodies.

TRAVELLING SOLO, COMING TOGETHER

Essentially a community platform, United We Dance is a joint project by Tomorrowland and Absolut. It brings hot important topics in the festival industry and beyond to the forefront by discussing them in all honesty. This year’s programme is tailored to solo visitors, and a hundred of them had a chance to be a part of special in-person activities at and around the festival. Traveling by yourself comes with challenges, as they all know well. Therefore, participants were given the opportunity to exchange thoughts with melodic house and techno artist Danny ten Nijenhuis aka Rose Ringed – a seasoned solitary traveler himself. Danny opened up about the importance of mental health: “Society often doesn’t acknowledge loneliness, as the focus is usually on superficial things.” When asked how to deal with situations where you find yourself having no one to talk to, Danny recalled a recent moment in Brazil when he connected with strangers on a dancefloor: “We weren’t talking, we just danced and it felt really good!” As the conversation was taking place at Tomorrowland, everyone got excited about the healing qualities of music. Danny added that he recently started a club night in Amsterdam called Harmony, where it is a normal thing for people to come by themselves. Nevertheless people connect during these nights: “Melodies and emotional music bring people together.” Words to live by!

Ahh, to have a cold Corona on a thirsty summer’s day… If you’re looking to quench the craving without having to halt your dancing feet, the Melodia Stage by Corona is the place to go. Look out for a giant harp near the Rose Garden end of the Holy Grounds, and you’ll find a cosily enclosed dancing area with an adjoining

THE ODES OF ORBYZ THE FIRST EVER TOMORROWLAND COMIC

For the first time this year, Tomorrowland is also releasing a comic book set within the festival’s theme world. Called The Odes of Orbyz like the theme novel, it translates the story to a graphic format. Over the course of the weekend, we’ll be sharing a page or two every day. Want your own full copy of the story? It’s available for purchase at the onsite Tomorrowland Stores. Happy reading!

FOCUS ON ON THE MUSIC

Discovering new sounds across the Holy Grounds is a treat to every music lover, but the overwhelming amount of choice makes it everything but a walk in the park. Where to go, when? How to divide your time between the grandest stages and the smaller, hard-to-find gems? Worry not, as the next pages will serve as your personal guide to Tomorrowland’s magical universe of music. Enjoy the sounds!

THE GREAT LIBRARY LOST FREQUENCIES & FRIENDS

Tomorrowland regular and certified nice guy Lost Frequencies took a quick look through his friends list and took a decision: the amount of sheer talent was abundant enough to come up with a lineup sweeter than a chef’s kiss. As one of Belgium’s finest musical exports, Lost Frequencies knows exactly what is up, what is happening, and who will bring the house down. And lucky for us, his many friends are quite the colourful bunch: there’s One World Artists Henri PFR and Netsky, legends MK, Kenn Colt, and Jax Jones, plus the personifications of canned heat, Omdat Het Kan & Average Rob. Lost Frequencies & Friends playing the Great Library Stage for you today will be one for the, ahum, books!

ATMOSPHERE ARTCORE

Prepare for a seismic shift under De Schorre, and the Atmosphere dome more specifically, as Indira Paganotto’s Artcore returns to Tomorrowland with an electrifying takeover. Blending raw techno energy with psychedelic flair, Artcore is more than a sound – it’s a state of mind. Curated by Indira herself, this line-up unleashes a flurry of relentless talent: Clara Cuvé, Klaps, Marhu, and the explosive Patrick Mason, alongside the hypnotic duo Lorenzo Raganzini b2b Paolo Ferrara. At the heart of it all: Indira Paganotto, guiding us through a journey of mind-bending intensity and rhythm. She will let the Atmosphere tremble – the underground is rising, and it’s wearing the crown of Artcore.

THE ROSE GARDEN BONZAI

Without Belgium-based record label Bonzai Records, electronic music as we know it would have looked quite differently. Founded in 1990, they quickly became a symbol of the European underground scene. Bonzai’s raw and unfiltered but psychedelic approach to trance and techno can lift crowds into madness. With powerful kick drums and rebellious style, the close-knit group of producers working for the label secured a status that few label reach: that of becoming shorthand for a specific sound of electronic music. Delivering hypnotic acid lines in the Rose Garden today are Bonzai All Stars, DJ Ghost, Nico Parisi, and many more. Prepare to be immersed in an explosive blend of trance, rave, and hardcore styles, all while drifting away on the waves of their euphoric melodies.

1001 RECORDINGS

THE POWER OF CONNECTION

In a world where music connects souls and rhythms write stories, two titans of the electronic scene unite to shape the future. 1001Tracklists and Tomorrowland Music – both champions of inspiration, discovery, and connection – proudly present 1001 Recordings, a brand-new record label with the dancefloor at its heart and the People of Tomorrow in its soul. We discussed the power of the collab with the label’s freshest duo, Dillon Francis and Marten Hørger.

Launched earlier this month, the exciting collaboration between 1001Tracklists and Tomorrowland Music sets out to elevate the next generation of dance music, uniting sounds from every corner of the globe. Whether emerging from the underground or echoing from the Mainstage, every release is crafted to ignite movement, emotion, and unforgettable moments. During its inaugural phase, 1001 Recordings will shine a spotlight on collaborative tracks and b2b productions: it will be all about milestone releases that merge styles, minds, and energy. The fresh label’s debut single, ‘Take Me There’ by Sick Individuals and Matisse & Sadko, captures the pure euphoria of progressive house and is a call to arms for all lovers of melody and emotion. Yesterday the second collab was unleashed in the explosive form of the B2U EP by Dillon Francis and Marten Hørger, a bold, bass-fueled adventure through grit, groove, and festival fire. With 1001Tracklists’ community-driven insights and Tomorrowland Music’s global stage, 1001 Recordings will become a hallmark of creative synergy. But what makes a good collab great? Dillon Francis and Marten Hørger, who were just about to join forces for their set at The Great Library, had a few thoughts to share with us about that.

What makes a b2b set magical, how do you balance spontaneity with preparation?

Dillon: “The thing that makes our b2b sets so special is the fact that we hold hands during the whole of the set. My right hand is on the right side of the mixer, Marten’s left hand is on the left, and then the ones in the middle stay strongly intertwined. We’re holding hands the whole time, in complete unity. You can feel the energy flowing, we’re vibrating through each other.”

here. I love this man. When he comes down to Los Angeles we always sit down and talk for hours before we even start making music. I think you can really tell that our friendship is what lies at the core of this release. You know, sometimes it’s just like ‘hey, we’re gonna make a song together’ and that’s it. So it’s great that I can actually talk to Marten and connect. We make each other better.”

What makes a good collab great? What are the key ingredients?

Marten: “I think it’s great when you meet people that inspire you on a personal and artistic level equally. There’s so many collabs out there where it’s just one person making the music.”

Dillon: “We both brought ideas into the studio and they ended up being the songs that we released. It felt great that we both got to be a part of it.”

What’s one unexpected influence that shaped the sound of B2U?

Marten: “Dillon loves German humpa music, like the beer tent type of stuff.”

Dillon: “I do, absolutely.”

Marten: “And you should see his calves in lederhosen, man.”

Dillon: “I look gooooood in lederhosen. Put me in lederhosen and I’m taking everybody’s girl.”

In one word, what would you want the People of Tomorrow to feel during your set?

Dillon: “I want them to go nuts, and we’re going to deliver that. Go nuts.”

Marten: “That’s two words.”

Dillon: “No it’s not, it’s one word: gonuts! Like donuts, but gonuts.”

Marten: “Then I’m choosing mäximumcrazy, also one word – with umlaut.”

Dillon: “We should make those our DJ names: Gonuts & Mäximumcrazy!”

Marten: “And there’s a section in the set where my right hand is in his back pocket and that way we can have a bit of a feel of where we are going. It keeps us in tune with each other.”

Refreshing approach, but do you take such a set on more like a conversation or more like a battle?

Marten: “I do all the hard work.”

Dillon: “And I do all the cute stuff. We’re easy.”

How did your friendship shape the sound of the B2U EP?

Marten: “Is there even a friendship?”

Dillon: “Oh yeah, there is. There is! Don’t listen to him. There’s a very good and solid friendship

As Dillon & Marten leave us with a hearty laugh, it’s clear what’s in store for the future of 1001 Recordings: much more good stuff to come. The initial wave of signings showcases the label’s balance between established names, geniuses like Dillon & Marten, and next-generation talents. Looking ahead, the label is set to release music by the likes of Rafael Cerato, Pavel Petrov, and Volaris. While 1001 Recordings’ first releases promise peaktime Mainstage energy, it’s already gaining underground credibility with unreleased material supported in recent sets by Solomun, CamelPhat, and Adam Beyer. Stay tuned to find out what that material sounds like!

ON INCREDIBLE SATURDAY

MAINSTAGE | 12:00 - 14:15 & 23:55 - 00:55

Belgian techno icon Charlotte de Witte was the first-ever representative of her genre to close the Mainstage back in 2022. As such, her role as an ambassador for the style of music that emerged from late 1980s Black and queer counterculture in Detroit – developing further in European cities like Berlin and Sheffield – can hardly be understated. Today sees Charlotte play no less than two headline sets, one in the morning and one at her usual peaktime slot. It is now hard to fathom, but she started releasing music under her Raving George alias in 2013, a name chosen “to avoid the stereotypes of being a female DJ and producer” as she said back then. Thankfully, the world has progressed since that time and the gender balance amongst DJs is slowly moving towards equilibrium. In 2015, Charlotte switched to using her own name, a moment that coincided with a stylistic transition from electro to techno. A major career move came in 2019, with the establishment of her own KNTXT label, through which she projected her vision on music onto the techno scene. More than just a typical imprint, KNTXT has served as a hosting partner at Atmosphere during several Tomorrowland editions. Up-and-coming artists who played as part of the hosting have included Indira Paganotto, who has since moved on to presenting her very own Artcore label in the legendary techno dome. Throughout the years, Charlotte has managed to capture larger and larger audiences, due to her authentic, accessible approach to producing music and playing DJ sets. Releases that mark highlights within this process of transformation include her version of Eats Everything’s ‘Space Raiders’, an acclaimed remix of trance classic ‘Age of Love’ by Age of Love (with her partner Enrico Sangiuliano), and 2024’s driving banger, ‘Roar’.

Their passion is contagious, you can feel it in every drop, every rhythm. From sweaty club nights to massive stages like Tomorrowland, Sunnery and Ryan turn every set into a wild musical journey. These two don’t just play music, they live it.

CHARLOTTE DE WITTE NETSKY

JAZZY

CRYSTAL GARDEN | 15:30 - 17:00

Irish dance-pop singer-songwriter Yasmine Byrne, also known as DJ Jazzy, will be giving the crowd a taste of her unique sensibility at the Crystal Garden today, as her talent crystallises into ever more following. In November of 2021, Jazzy made waves as the lead vocalist on Belters Only’s track ‘Make Me Feel Good’, which climbed to #4 on the UK Singles Chart and hit number 1 in Ireland – the first time an Irish dance act topped the Irish charts since Mark McCabe’s ‘Maniac 2000’. Raise those flags high then, folk, friends, and followers of the Emerald Isle – this is your moment!

THE GREAT LIBRARY | 00:00 - 00:55

A longtime associate of Tomorrowland, Boris Daenen aka Netsky is Belgium’s premier drum & bass export. And no wonder: after topping the national charts with several singles off his second album, including ‘Come Alive’ and ‘Love Has Gone’, he has ventured into cross-over pop territory. During the following years, Netsky collaborated with the likes of Macklemore, Aloe Blacc, and Becky Hill. Meanwhile, the Brussels native stayed true to the melodic style that brought him to the fore. Recent tracks like ‘Remember’ and ‘Out of Body’ show that Netsky hasn’t stopped reinventing himself – both cuts are admirable examples of musical experimentation, and yet oh so delicious.

ONE WORLD ARTIST

One World Artists is Tomorrowland’s official artist agency, where they foster young talents and support well-established DJs and producers from around the world. And those artists usually have more than a little connection to the festival, of course. Here, we take a daily look at a One World Artist and the path they share with Tomorrowland in the past, present, and future.

His productions, often infused with cinematic emotion and vibrant positivity, mirror the spirit of Tomorrowland itself: unifying, uplifting and unforgettable. As a proud ambassador of Belgium’s next generation of dance music, Henri brings not only talent, but his whole heart to the Holy Grounds. His Tomorrowland sets have become beacons for fans around the world, moments where thousands sing in unison, dance with abandon, and feel completely alive. And as long as the music plays and the People of Tomorrow gather, his journey continues – full of light, love, and that unmistakable Henri PFR magic.

Occasional breaks and hiphop samples reveal her close association with Britain’s forward-thinking Ninja Tune label. Carlita’s performances are adventurous but accessible and always end up getting the crowd moving.

AGENTS OF TIME

“WE’RE TOTAL STUDIO ADDICTS - WE LOVE BEING AT HOME, COFFEE IN HAND, MAKING MUSIC.”

Italian melodic techno duo Agents of Time have gradually created a strong signature sound over the course of their twelve-year-long career. Emotional depth and rhythmic intensity come together as one in their performances, which almost literally draw the listener into an enchanting tunnel of sound. Andrea Di Ceglie and Luigi Tutolo, the two Italian friends behind the project, come from different subcultures of electronic music, and it is exactly that difference that fostered the creative energy behind their project. Time for a chat to figure out how their process works!

‘Only Human’, your single from last February, represents a signature, melodic Agents of Time sound. In recent years, you seem to have shifted from more introverted to more outspoken, trance-like melodies. Has this been a deliberate move or is the development part of a natural development?

Andrea: “You’re absolutely right about our progression. It’s been a natural evolution. We never really plan things when we’re in the studio; we prefer to let creativity flow freely. As human beings, we change over time – we adapt to new technologies, new scenarios, and new inspirations. That growth naturally finds its way into our music.”

You generate your musical energy from a kind of synergy between rhythm and melody. How do you see the interconnection between the two in your own music?

Luigi: “We definitely come from different musical backgrounds. I used to listen to Trentemøller, Hernán Cattáneo, and the whole progressive sound. Andrea was more into the modern deep house scene – labels like Pampa, for example. Together, we’ve always had a strong synergy. We know we can’t be separated, we each play a unique role. I’m drawn to melody, while Andrea brings the groove and spreads the energy through rhythm. That’s our balance.”

Growing up, you must have listened to a lot of music. Can you name one artist that really influenced your sound, and tell us why?

Andrea: “One of the first artists I really followed was Mathew Jonson. His melodic creativity always captivated me. He has this pure, unique energy – his sound made a big impact on me early on.”

Luigi: “For me, it’s definitely Trentemøller. I saw him live years ago in Australia, and I completely fell in love with his sound. That experience was one of the reasons I got into electronic music. He’s had a major influence on my journey.”

Can you name other artists who inspired you more indirectly? What do you appreciate about them?

Luigi: “I’ve been a huge fan of Freddie Mercury since I was a kid. His lifestyle, artistic vision, and energy were all so unique. He constantly pushed boundaries. ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ is the perfect example of his genius and the boldness of Queen as a band.”

Andrea: “I’ve always loved guitars, and one artist who really inspired me is Nile Rodgers. He’s so versatile – he wrote some of the biggest pop hits of the last two decades. His charisma and confidence really stand out.”

You recently did a big remix for James Hype’s ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’. Did you enjoy working on it? How did you approach it? And how would you describe the result?

Luigi: “Remixing James Hype was a real challenge. He has a strong musical identity, and the original is a massive hit. We tried several approaches before finding the right one – we weren’t happy until it felt just right. In the end, we’re really proud of what we created. We managed to bring our world into his, and the result feels fresh and unique.”

James Hype’s sound overlaps with yours in the sense that it’s electronic at least. But you also recently remixed Zerb, Ty Dolla $ign, and Wiz Khalifa – a very different vibe. How do the two projects compare? How do you approach a hip hop remix?

Andrea: “Honestly, we don’t compare them. Each remix forms another journey. We start by listening to the original and imagining how our sound can merge with it. Our goal is always to leave our signature while respecting the original. With the Zerb remix, it was all about that fusion. It was an exciting process and there’s more like that coming soon.”

Did you notice your fanbase expanding to hip hop listeners after that remix?

Luigi: “Absolutely. That was one of the reasons we were excited to take on the remix. We love the song and are fans of the artists involved, and this gave us a chance to reach a new crowd and showcase what we can do in a different context.”

With such a packed touring schedule, do your best tracks always originate in the studio, or do you also create while on the move?

Luigi: “We’re total studio addicts – we love being at home, coffee in hand, making music. But with the tight schedule, we’ve adapted. We started creating ideas on the road and even got portable speakers to help recreate the studio vibe wherever we are. Inspiration doesn’t wait, so we stay ready.”
