…and the question is, how to choose between sixteen stages full of artists plus plenty little pop-up dancefloors? The biggest hitters are obviously the knockout Mainstage closing combo of Swedish House Mafia, Armin van Buuren, and Hardwell – but also on offer are progressive house greats like Kölsch and Eric Prydz at the Freedom, as well as melodic techno masters Anyma b2b Solomun and Kevin de Vries at Crystal Garden. The choice seems impossible to make – especially as you could also go pedal to the metal with I Hate Models, 6EJOU, and Dimitri Vegas b2b Fantasm at Atmosphere, or boogie down to the Brasil takeover at Rise, or, of course, hit the breaks with Rampage at the Rose Garden. Good luck deciding, and wherever you choose to go, don’t forget: music is always the right answer!
Welcome, friends; at long last, you have arrived. Today is the day. You’re here, right at the brink of Tomorrowland, and ready to make the Holy Grounds your own. But before we dive in, we look back on a first, fairytale day at DreamVille, where a temporary city arose, thrumming with activity and buzzing with excited energy. Right out of the gate, you were ready to make the most of every second; the sun was soon greeted with tent poles going up and first drinks being opened. Going into the afternoon, the Gathering went on as it always does – bigger, in fact, than it ever was before, with the addition of a second stage. At the Gathering, People of
There have been small last-minute changes in the line-up of the Mainstage as well as some other stages. Check the line-up in this newspaper and double-check in the official Tomorrowland app to be sure not to miss a minute of your favourite artist!
Tomorrow from all around the globe put on a display of unity that presages a very warm weekend indeed. And this, friends, is the beating heart of Tomorrowland, and the reason this weekend will still be a dream come true, even if the Mainstage is slightly different than expected: you. All of you, and your collective energy, are what makes the magic. So go out and enjoy – together!
Early birds, you’re in luck – at the DreamVille Gym today at 09:30, you can join a 7k social run across the Holy Grounds, with special guest runner John Summit. Go ahead, drop this paper, grab your shoes, and head over!

DAILY WISDOM
Read the latest about what’s going on around Tomorrowland
Whether you arrived on wings of steel, rolling wheels, whispering rails or by sheer pedal power, one thing is for certain: you have reached the final chapter of a journey that started long before the gates of Tomorrowland opened. And for many of you, that journey was a true Global Journey. Tomorrowland’s own travel programme united almost 50,000 People of Tomorrow from every corner of the Earth, each guided by a shared dream – to return to the Holy Grounds.
From soaring through the clouds at 30,000 feet to cruising across borders on party-fueled rails, every mile travelled was a story in the making. This year, Global Journey expanded in every direction, with more travel options, more experiences, and more memories woven into every kilometre. And while Tomorrowland is undeniably the crown jewel at the end, it’s the path taken that transforms strangers into lifelong friends, and tavel into a ritual of deep connection.
Here’s some numbers for you. Just over 25,000 Global Journey travelers from 165 countries were spread out over approximately 165 flights
coming in from over 30 countries and 60 cities across the world. Out of these, 7 were Global Journey Party Flights and there were 10 Gate Parties at airports across Europe. Meanwhile, over 9,000 festivalgoers in total travelled via the Tomorrowland train packages. 10,000 of you traveled by buses departing from 6 countries, and 18 people came by bike joining the Ridley Cycling Package. The Global Journey wasn’t just about getting there, it was definitely about enjoying the ride too.
All Global Journey sojourners were welcome to attend the Belgian Journey as well, with surprise parties spread all around the city providing for a nice introduction to the Tomorrowland atmosphere.
During the day they got to get a taste of Belgium’s finest beers at the Beurs, feasted on ‘Frietjes met stoofvlees’ at Wolf, and ended up at a closing party at the Grand Place. At the same time INVITED took place at Gare Maritime, the official pre-party for 9,000 People of Tomorrow staying in a hotel or hostel in Brussels during the weekend.
With so many activities going on all around Tomorrowland’s home country and even continent, Global Journey truly has become an event of its own, worth embarking on just for the sake of it. Will you join (again) next year?
BACK TO BRAZIL
In less than 100 days, Tomorrowland Brasil returns to Parque Maeda, a place where life already seems to bloom a little brighter. From October 10–12, this lush outskirt of São Paulo becomes Silvyra: a mythical realm where nature, creatures, and people move in harmony. Few places could suit the LIFE theme better than this vibrant, green oasis. This year’s breathtaking Mainstage, first revealed at Tomorrowland’s 20-year anniversary in Belgium, now rises among Brazil’s own trees and skies. Also new this time is the brandnew Morpho stage, inspired by the dragonfly stage design from Tomorrowland’s residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza in 2024. With over 150 artists across six stages, DreamVille’s lively little world of its own, and the unmistakable warmth of Brazilian spirit, this will be a weekend to make you feel truly alive. The story of Silvyra is already rooted in Brazil, all that’s missing now is you. Tickets & info: brasil.tomorrowland.com.
SUMMIT TO THE TOP

Tomorrowland’s magical storylines, shows, and designs will probably have a special place deep in your heart. The Tomorrowland Immersive Experience was created especially for those who’d like to relive the magic of these worlds in order to bring back the incredible memories – as well as those who want to share the magic with friends who haven’t been to the festival yet. Entering this VR experience is to freely walk around in a world where iconic themes such as The Story of Planaxis, The Book of Wisdom, and The Elixir of Life come to life as if you were actually there. Did we say as if? Perhaps it’s more accurate to say you are actually there. Tomorrowland Immersive Experience travels from city to city. Visit immersive.tomorrowland.com to follow its itinerary.
WIN A SOUNDSYSTEM
Send a photo of what you look like when you listen to your favourite song to today@tomorrowland. com for a chance to win the official Tomorrowland x JBL Flip 7 Bluetooth Speaker. This conveniently sized but particularly powerful portable soundsystem is ready for your backyard, beach party, or DreamVille get-together. So… What do you look like when you’re having musical fun? We can’t wait to find out!
John Summit is stepping into the limelight like never before. He’s making his Mainstage debut today, yet he is anything but a foreign name to Tomorrowland. His powerful AV show at the Freedom stage last Friday definitely left a mark on the Holy Grounds, to begin with. Blending tech house grooves and emotional drops, Summit creates his signature style, allowing him to balance underground energy and big room impact perfectly. As if that’s not amazing enough already, he’s releasing a VIP remix of ‘Silence’ with Dimension, out now exclusively on Amazon Music. So even if you don’t manage to catch him today, you can still listen to a little piece of him!
THE SOUNDTRACK TO YOUR LIFE
Everyone who drives knows: your car is your own little cocoon. Change the soundtrack to your roadtrip, and the whole mood shifts. Make it a moody journey with melancholic sounds, create an instant party feeling with some highenergy beats, drift off to meaningful memories with matching music… Or, create your own music to drive off to the horizon to. Behind the Mainstage, BMW presents a digital experience that allows you to create your own Symphony of Joy. Choose your vibe, select colours that match the mood, and create a fully personalised composition. Move on to the next room to experience the result of your work, making this a memorable soundtrack to this very moment: a musical souvenir of the here and now.
dreamville
welcome home, campers
By now, DreamVille is buzzing. Tents are up (sort of), hammocks are swinging, and sunscreen is already being shared like a new local currency. The People of Tomorrow have officially checked in. Some travelled five minutes to get here, others five thousand kilometres. There’s some gear forgotten, precious ground claimed, intense workouts started, and long-held traditions continued. With the Gathering just hours away, DreamVille becomes so much more than just a campsite. This is your first taste of the magic. The first hug. The first moment you realise: yep, you’re really here. So before you head out to get the party started, take a look around at the people you’ll be dancing next to all weekend. These are their arrivals, their rituals, and above all, their stories.
“We were so prepared,” says Marta, laughing at her friend Lara. “Except we forgot the one thing that actually gets you in: our bracelets.” A short detour later, the Spanish squad finally made it in. Next time, maybe put them on the week before, just to be sure?
Arnaud, Tristan and Steve from France came to DreamVille looking like a bleach-blonde boyband with a thing for headgear. “The bandanas help us spot each other in a crowd,” one says. “But we should probably wrap one around the tent too, for when we’re trying to find our way home.”
We honestly still can’t believe this is happening,” says Phoebe, who won her tickets through a Pringles competition. “Kimberly was the obvious plus one, I mean, she’s always stealing my snacks anyway. Now we’re here, and it’s just… surreal.”
Carlos and Stephanie met at the Gathering in 2023 and have been coming back together ever since. “After last year’s flight chaos, we added five buffer days this time,” Stephanie laughs. “Nothing can stop us now.”
get in shape for the floor
The party doesn’t stop when the music fades - take the energy from the rave to the mat at the adidas X Les Mills gym by the Recovery area, open daily from 09:00. From throwing shapes to throwing punches, they’re flipping the dancefloor into a fitness floor with group workouts that hit just as hard. Music’s always been in their DNA; it’s what fuels every Les Mills workout, with tracks from top artists like those on this year’s Mainstage. The same beats that move you on the dancefloor now power your workout. Come through and say hi!
We spotted Lizzie from Perth by her bright orange-yellow hair. “We’re here with 62 Aussies this year,” she says proudly. “And yes, we have a glam tent. Actually… it’s just a spare one to get ready in. Priorities, right?”

multiple backpacks,
a tote bag that could double as an additional tent, Jay made quite the entrance. “I took the train from London to get here early and claim the best spot. My friends should come in later. I’m hoping they’ll at least help me set all of this up!”
We drove from Germany, and when I say the car was packed, I mean Tetris champion level packed,” says Joshua. “Arianna was squashed in the back with about half a seat to herself. It was cosy. Repacking it all on Monday isn’t something we’re thinking about just yet…”
Amund and his crew from Norway were already halfway through a beach volleyball match when we found them. “We got here early and saw the field was free, so we had to claim it,” Armand says. “If you see us playing today, the game is definitely on.”
Himam and Kirsten just finished a 24-hour journey from Australia. “We checked into the Montagoe and went straight to the pool,” says Kirsten. “It’s our tradition. We’ll stay here as long as we can afford it, or until we literally can’t no more.”

“Have you ever boxed before?” “Nope.” Pantelis and Rafaellos from Cyprus tried out the DreamVille boxing gym for the first time, looking both proud and slightly wrecked. “Pantelis is the sporty one. He convinced me.” Will they be back? “Let’s see how our bodies feel after tonight...”

LOVE TOMORROW, CARE FOR THE FUTURE
The Thursday leading up to Tomorrowland Belgium’s second weekend is a special one for anyone who’s passionate about topics like the environment, sustainable growth, circularity, and healthy living: it’s time for the annual Love Tomorrow Summit. The goal here is to spark conversations around ideas and solutions shaping a better future. Conversations, speeches, and panels with artists and forward-thinking entrepreneurs crowd the day’s programme, and the Summit is also a place for business owners and freelancers to meet likeminded people. Naturally, as Love Tomorrow is part of the Tomorrowland family, great food, drinks, and excellent music are never far away. Let’s find out what actually happened yesterday, spread out across the better part of the Holy Grounds at various stages.
KÖLSCH
(CRYSTAL GARDEN)
Rune Reilly Kölsch, better known simply by his surname, is a familiar face on the Holy Grounds. But when we see him perform – wearing his unmistakeable fedora hat – do we really know what moves him? Sometimes it’s nice to actually hear an artist talk about the deeper things in life. The crowd at the Crystal Garden were treated to a very interesting conversation between Studio Brussel journalist Jeroen de Lodder and Kölsch,
discussing how artists may add emotion to their music. Kölsch: “There are two ways of doing it. One way is the conceptual approach where I dedicate the music to something that is really meaningful to me, like for example a person. The second approach is more associative: you just start experimenting with music until you feel something.”
SADHGURU IN CONVERSATION WITH ALOK
(CRYSTAL GARDEN)
A yoga teacher, environmental activist, and teacher of life, Sadhguru is a spiritual jack-of-all-trades. Among his many followers is Brazilian artist Alok, who started his eagerly anticipated conversation with Sadhguru by reminding everyone how Tomorrowland took place last week despite the fire destroying the Mainstage. “It showed us the power to overcome,” the Brazilian artist mused, “and what can happen when you never give up on your dreams. This brings me to the following
question, Sadhguru: How can we best deal with circumstances in life that we can’t control?” In reply, Sadhguru sang a short chant before commenting that “if unforeseen things wouldn’t ever happen, life would be very boring. Being afraid makes you constipated in life. Governments are run by fear, but being fearful isn’t a wonderful experience, so I strongly advise against it.” If that’s not a message that resonates with the People of Tomorrow, we don’t know what is.
‘ATTENTION SEEKER’ ELISABETH LUCIE BAETEN
(ATMOSPHERE)
As a little girl, Flemish writer Elisabeth Lucie Baeten was always accused of drawing attention, even if she kept to herself, quietly reading a book in a corner. Annoyingly, these accusations continued to bother her as a grown woman. When Baeten turned up at a gala wearing a dress made of Palestinian keffiyehs last February, Belgian politicians once again accused her of seeking attention. The reason she’s here today, speaking in
public at the Atmosphere stage, is to inspire others to draw attention too. “Wearing that controversial dress resulted in €180,000 worth of donations for the people of Gaza, so I’d like to put an end to the common consensus that drawing attention to yourself is something negative.”
ANDREW SMITH FROM VINTED
(FREEDOM)
All brands engage in storytelling. They’d be losing the battle with their competitors if they didn’t. But more often than not, it feels like companies are wasting your time when they tell you these stories, doesn’t it? Andrew Smith, Senior Director Brand at second hand clothing company Vinted, travelled to the Freedom stage to fight this “elephant in the room,” to inspire creative leaders
and marketing specialists to move beyond surfacelevel messaging. His objective is to build authentic brand foundations that genuinely reflect and address real consumer needs and experiences. Anything real is destined to resonate with the crowd of the Love Tomorrow Summit and so did Smith’s keynote speech, which was received with an overwhelming applause.
VISIT THE LOVE TOMORROW SUMMIT IN 2026
Are you on the same wavelength as these artists and speakers? Why not add an extra day to next year’s trip to Tomorrowland by visiting the Love Tomorrow Summit? Stay up to date via lovetomorrow.com.
Good friends Militsa from Amsterdam and Matus from Prague came to the Summit because they hadn’t seen each other for five years. “But also for Steven Bartlett’s keynote. I really love the way he approaches business,” says Militsa.
Evelien from Belgium had the honour to present the ideas behind her start-up Game Changer at the Elixir stage. Evelien: “The premise of my business is to gamify sustainability and to create awareness and calls to action via these games.”
IT entrepreneur Nicolas is here to connect with other business owners who share the same values. Sustainability is at the core of what he does, but his interpretation of the concept is unique: “For us, sustainability has always been about keeping employees within the company as long as possible.”
Soenil and Devika from the Netherlands have come to the Love Tomorrow Summit with one purpose only: to see Sadhguru. Devika: “Sadhguru brings us peace. 90% of the things Sadhguru says are things we as humans already know or should know, but in addition, he gives you the right tools to cultivate that mindset.”
WHAT’S IN A NAME?
GATHERING GROUP CHATS & THEIR ENDLESS STORIES
Before the gates swing open and the Holy Grounds roar to life, there’s The Gathering – DreamVille’s one-night-only pre-party. It’s where first dances are shared and voices begin their slow demise. But look around and you’ll notice something else: most people didn’t arrive here solo. They came in squads, packs, and lifelong friendship collectives. Some met through music. Others through mischief. But all of them have one thing in common: the sacred group chat. You know the one, created months (or decades) ago, filled with hype messages, flight itineraries, packing lists, you name it. And more often than not, it’s named after some random, ridiculous inside joke that no one dares to change. We went around the Gathering asking People of Tomorrow: what’s your group chat called… and why? Here are the very best responses.
THE FREAK FAM
It started with Sofi Tukker livestreams during lockdown. Day after day, these strangers danced together through Twitch chats and Instagram livestreams, until day 100, when they all met via Zoom. Five years later, the Zoom room lives on… and so does The Freak Fam in real life at Tomorrowland.
IF DUBLIN HAS NO PARTY, TOMORROWLAND DOES!
As Brazilians living in Dublin, this crew had one complaint: “People there drink a lot… but they don’t dance.” And if Brazilians are known for one thing, it’s dancing. What started with a few friends turned into a 20+ person caravan of carnival energy. The group name is their motto, really. No party? No problem. They’ll find one.
THE FRINGE
This Aussie crew owes its name to a simple hairstyle. Back when Lauren rocked a full fringe, the group name stuck. And even after the bangs grew out, The Fringe lived on. Bonus: it also happens to be the name of Edinburgh’s biggest comedy festival, where their adventures once peaked..
LA FOURCHETTE, LE COUTEAU, LA CUILLÈRE ET L’ASSIETTE
Translation: the fork, the knife, the spoon, and the plate. This French group named their chat after what they love most: eating together. One friend couldn’t make it this year, so they brought a giant cardboard cutout of her face instead. “She’s here in spirit, and also in our hands.”
MORÄLAND
In Swiss German, Moräland means ‘Tomorrowland’, but that doesn’t explain the full story. Two friends discovered they were distant cousins after realising they shared a family member who owns 50 llamas. (As one does.) The group chat naturally evolved to include three llama emojis. This is really one you can’t make up.
UTTER CHAOS
When half your group dresses in cow print and the other half calls Emma “the vibe curator,” you get Utter Chaos. Emma’s been to Tomorrowland 13 times (including Brasil and Winter), always in cow print. Guess the rest just moove to her rhythm now...
DE ZUSJES
Hailing straight from Boom, these lifelong Tomorrowland-goers have been attending since 2005. Their chat name means The Sisters, and no, they’re not DJ duo Luna & Lenthe, but they’ve been asked enough times to consider just going with it now.
WHITE CHICKS
One sister, two brothers. Once living together, but later scattered around the world. The reunion happened at EDC Vegas, and since then, a three-way sibling group chat dubbed White Chicks was formed. No one’s quite sure where that name comes from, but Sam insists it made sense at the time. And clearly, it stuck.
AYQUERICKY
From Mexico with dance music love, this crew of thirty named their chat after their admin, Ricky. The phrase “Ay, qué rico!” (“Oh, how delicious!”) gets thrown around a lot: at meals, on the dancefloor, and basically whenever Ricky shows up. Their DreamVille meet-up point is always by the fountain – as clearly shown in the above picture.
CÚPULA DEL ORDEN
This is a Spanish mega-crew of 35 strong, made up entirely of siblings and cousins. Each year they actually create a new group chat. Cúpula del Orden is a nod to the conclavestyle coordination required to gather them all. Booking Tomorrowland for them isn’t a plan – by now it’s a ritual.
“Once inside a First Aid unit, there will be no judgment, nor will you have to fear trouble with the police.”
NATURAL HIGHS ONLY
The melodies, compositions, and rhythms engrained in the electronic music you will hear this weekend have transformative powers. Melodies and harmonies have the ultimate power to lift you up, to give you a natural high; music is a natural stimulant, but it is also the only ‘drug’ you can legally consume in Belgium. At Tomorrowland, the possession of any kind of organic or chemical drug –including but not limited to cannabis, ecstasy, and cocaine – is strictly prohibited. Anyone caught with drugs will be kindly but surely removed from the premises and given a hefty fine. And in Belgium as a whole, dealing drugs is enough to get you in prison for up to five years. None of this sounds very good, so our heartfelt advice is simple: get on that natural high by fully immersing yourself in the music and friendships old and new and take care of yourself and others at all times. Remember that drugs can be disposed of in one of the drug amnesty bins at the entrance gates of the Holy Grounds.
SAFETY FIRST
But what if you do meet someone who seems to be on something and taking it badly? “Safety is even more important than regulations,” says Charlotte Colman, professor of criminology at Ghent University and head of a drug awareness training program at Tomorrowland. “So if you see a friend or a stranger turning unwell, you’ll need to bring this person to the nearest First Aid (or ‘EHBO’) point. If you don’t know where they are, just talk to Tomorrowland crew or someone with a t-shirt that reads “We Care a Lot”. They will direct you to a medical assistant. Once inside a First Aid unit, there will be no judgement, nor will you have to fear trouble with the police. The mission of the people working there is the wellbeing of whoever comes in. So if you’re not a doctor, never apply treatment to a person yourself, but take them to the professionals.”
THE FESTIVAL ENVIRONMENT
It should be noted that the environment of a huge music festival can make the use of illegal substances more dangerous for everyone – and this includes experienced drug users. “Elements like heat, loud music, and big crowds make the feeling more intense and increase the risk of something going wrong either physically or mentally,” says Colman. In other words: the motto “don’t try this at home” very much applies to your favourite festival. However, the festival environment can be overwhelming regardless of whether you have consumed anything. If you are feeling overwhelmed or need help – for yourself or a friend – the We Care a Lot teams will always be happy to help you, assisted by specialists like Charlotte.
UNKNOWN CONTENTS
Taking drugs is generally dangerous and we strongly advise against it. An extra danger comes with the fact that it isn’t always easy to tell what you’re taking. ‘Pink cocaine’, for example, isn’t cocaine at all – it’s usually made of other substances with a tranquilising effect. Capsules and pills might also be dangerous as you can’t tell what substance and how much of it is inside.
HOW TO TELL SOMEONE’S UNWELL
Whether it’s a friend or someone you’ve never met before, there are some symptoms that are always cause to take someone to First Aid. Take people out of the crowd and to a medical professional or We Care a Lot crew if they are showing some combination of the following symptoms:
• Sweating excessively or not able to sweat
• Having trouble walking straight
• Unable to speak properly
• Wanting to sit down all the time

Want your own full copy of the story? It’s available for purchase at the onsite Tomorrowland Stores. Happy reading!
FOCUS ON ON THE MUSIC
Discovering new sounds across the Holy Grounds is a treat to every music lover, but the overwhelming amount of choice makes it everything but a walk in the park. Where to go, when? How to divide your time between the grandest stages and the smaller, hard-to-find gems? Worry not, as the next pages will serve as your personal guide to Tomorrowland’s magical universe of music. Enjoy the sounds!
RAMPAGE THE ROSE GARDEN
The world’s biggest drum & bass and dubstep event storms into Tomorrowland: Rampage is taking over the Rose Garden with unmatched bass energy. Born in Belgium and grown into a global movement, Rampage is more than just a name. It’s an immersive audiovisual storm, famed for its electrifying shows, stunning stage design, and fiercely dedicated fans. This year, Rampage brings the full force of the underground, with earth-shaking sets from DJs like Andy C, Infekt, and Sicaria. Expect rewinds, reloads, and relentless drops, as this is where Tomorrowland gets gritty. Rampage is not for the fainthearted… it’s for the bass-heads who live for the rumble.
Footworxx returns to Tomorrowland, taking over the CAGE with their signature frenchcore and uptempo hardcore beats. Founded in Belgium, Footworxx has built a deep-rooted network across Europe, setting a high standard in the underground scene. Known for their unpolished kicks, intense BPM crescendos, and industrial sounds, they create a sonic experience that accelerates into total chaos. This year, their CAGE hosting will feature performances by Partyraiser, DJ Furax, Sandy Warez, and many more; all guaranteed to be intense performances unleashing powerful drops and high-speed rhythms, reflecting the hardcore soul of Footworxx.
MANGROVE ELIXIR
When Mangrove takes over the Elixir Stage today, it will craft a world of eclectic, high-quality sounds set against a stunning backdrop at the water’s edge. Known for its theatrical stage design and mesmerising ambiance, Mangrove creates an atmosphere that feels both mysterious and inviting. Music-wise, its programming will be what you’d expect at the Elixir stage: touches of house and underground electronic grooves mixed with pop and urban bangers and plenty singalongs. Featuring allround artists like Nina Black, Drezz, and Som Systema, the stage offers a sonic journey filled with recognition and bound to put some smiles on faces.

ANYMA B2B SOLOMUN
Solo DJ’ing is still the norm in the festival scene, but the subtle art of the b2b is on the rise. For the uninitiated: that’s a set in which two DJs share the booth, creating unexpected blends and throwing the dancefloor surprising curveballs. With this year’s edition of Tomorrowland being rich in such DJ duets, each day, we’re highlighting a unique combination to get you excited for the dancefloor.
Solomun is one of the world’s most gifted DJs, and experienced as he is, the German-Croatian superstar can comfortably team up with almost any kind of DJ. Last year saw him play a legendary set with electronica genius Four Tet at Crystal Garden, one that is still talked about in online communities. On Saturday, the king of the slow burner returns to the same arena with man of the moment Anyma, who’s just finished an extensive residency at high-tech venue Sphere in Las Vegas. While Solomun is known for his subtle grooves, Anyma – one half of Tale of Us – approaches music differently, with a stronger emphasis on melody. This b2b feels like a deep dive into the unknown, an encounter of two different worlds, a performance that will be full of interesting surprises and magical moments.

AGENTS OF TIME
“WE’RE TOTAL STUDIO ADDICTS - WE LOVE BEING AT HOME, COFFEE IN HAND, MAKING MUSIC.”
Italian melodic techno duo Agents of Time have gradually created a strong signature sound over the course of their twelve-year-long career. Emotional depth and rhythmic intensity come together as one in their performances, which almost literally draw the listener into an enchanting tunnel of sound. Andrea Di Ceglie and Luigi Tutolo, the two Italian friends behind the project, come from different subcultures of electronic music, and it is exactly that difference that fostered the creative energy behind their project. Time for a chat to figure out how their process works!
‘Only Human’, your single from last February, represents a signature, melodic Agents of Time sound. In recent years, you seem to have shifted from more introverted to more outspoken, trance-like melodies. Has this been a deliberate move or is the development part of a natural development?
Andrea: “You’re absolutely right about our progression. It’s been a natural evolution. We never really plan things when we’re in the studio; we prefer to let creativity flow freely. As human beings, we change over time – we adapt to new technologies, new scenarios, and new inspirations. That growth naturally finds its way into our music.”
You generate your musical energy from a kind of synergy between rhythm and melody. How do you see the interconnection between the two in your own music?
Luigi: “We definitely come from different musical backgrounds. I used to listen to Trentemøller, Hernán Cattáneo, and the whole progressive sound. Andrea was more into the modern deep house scene – labels like Pampa, for example. Together, we’ve always had a strong synergy. We know we can’t be separated, we each play a unique role. I’m drawn to melody, while Andrea brings the groove and spreads the energy through rhythm. That’s our balance.”
Growing up, you must have listened to a lot of music. Can you name one artist that really influenced your sound, and tell us why?
Andrea: “One of the first artists I really followed was Mathew Jonson. His melodic creativity always captivated me. He has this pure, unique energy – his sound made a big impact on me early on.”
Luigi: “For me, it’s definitely Trentemøller. I saw him live years ago in Australia, and I completely fell in love with his sound. That experience was one of the reasons I got into electronic music. He’s had a major influence on my journey.”
Can you name other artists who inspired you more indirectly? What do you appreciate about them?
Luigi: “I’ve been a huge fan of Freddie Mercury since I was a kid. His lifestyle, artistic vision, and energy were all so unique. He constantly pushed boundaries. ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ is the perfect example of his genius and the boldness of Queen as a band.”
Andrea: “I’ve always loved guitars, and one artist who really inspired me is Nile Rodgers. He’s so versatile – he wrote some of the biggest pop hits of the last two decades. His charisma and confidence really stand out.”
You recently did a big remix for James Hype’s ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’. Did you enjoy working on it? How did you approach it? And how would you describe the result?
Luigi: “Remixing James Hype was a real challenge. He has a strong musical identity, and the original is a massive hit. We tried several approaches before finding the right one – we weren’t happy until it felt just right. In the end, we’re really proud of what we created. We managed to bring our world into his, and the result feels fresh and unique.”
James Hype’s sound overlaps with yours in the sense that it’s electronic at least. But you also recently remixed Zerb, Ty Dolla $ign, and Wiz Khalifa – a very different vibe. How do the two projects compare? How do you approach a hip hop remix? Andrea: “Honestly, we don’t compare them. Each remix forms another journey. We start by listening to the original and imagining how our sound can merge with it. Our goal is always to leave our signature while respecting the original. With the Zerb remix, it was all about that fusion. It was an exciting process and there’s more like that coming soon.”
Did you notice your fanbase expanding to hip hop listeners after that remix?
Luigi: “Absolutely. That was one of the reasons we were excited to take on the remix. We love the song and are fans of the artists involved, and this gave us a chance to reach a new crowd and showcase what we can do in a different context.”
With such a packed touring schedule, do your best tracks always originate in the studio, or do you also create while on the move?
Luigi: “We’re total studio addicts – we love being at home, coffee in hand, making music. But with the tight schedule, we’ve adapted. We started creating ideas on the road and even got portable speakers to help recreate the studio vibe wherever we are. Inspiration doesn’t wait, so we stay ready.”
SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA USED FOCUS ON MAGICAL FRIDAY
MAINSTAGE | 21:50 – 22:50
Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, and Steve Angello, colloquially known as ‘The Swedes’, are collectively responsible for one of the biggest Scandinavian export products of all time – perhaps second only to ABBA. Anyone who isn’t particularly familiar with electronic music will still know songs like ‘Don’t You Worry Child’, ‘Miami 2 Ibiza’ and ‘Turn on the Lights Again’. With these hits and many others, Swedish House Mafia helped shift electronic music from intimate club settings to large-scale festivals and stadiums. Their fusion of progressive house, big-room, and electro house styles always comes with soaring melodies and intense, high-impact drops. More specifically, they used richly layered synthesizers – known to producers as hypersaws or supersaws – which were slightly detuned and enhanced with effects like reverb and delay. That technique helped create the group’s immersive sound with its unmistakable sense of scale and grandeur. Branding-wise, the trio played a smart game from the early days, by collaborating with pop artists such as Pharrell on the 2010 hit ‘One’. This approach helped the Swedes grow their following in the United States, which had up until that point been largely pop, hip-hop, and rock-minded. The general music-loving audience in America was now confronted with the undeniable force of dance music. Slowly but surely, SHM’s type of catchy, vocal-led electronic music started filling up major venues on the Western shores of the big pond. The group’s legacy is immense: some of the scene’s biggest legends – including Avicii, Tiësto, Alesso, and Martin Garrix – have cited them as an inspiration. Their longanticipated return to Tomorrowland in 2024 made everyone hungry for more, and it looks like they’ve listened to your prayers. Time to return to the Mainstage with them and relive all their sweetest hits!

And he doesn’t just have hardcore running through his veins; thanks to a deep passion for guitars and heavy metal, Deadly Guns has forged a unique path. Ever since his first hit track ‘Stick to Your Guns’, released in 2017, he’s been paving the way for thrashcore to make it in the scene – so why not check it out today at CAGE, and experience what it feels like to headbang at a rave, or to rave in the mosphit?
THE ROSE GARDEN | 22:00 – 23:00
The rapid-fire drums of Belgian DJ Used are here to sweep you off your feet and into the final hours of Rampage at the Rose Garden. 28-year-old Jo Eelen grew up playing piano and violin, but in high school he discovered drum & bass and was soon hooked. Never losing his love for classical music either, he decided to combine the two, adding orchestral elements to his breakbeats & drops. This resulted in his first single ‘Mistakes’, which he released in 2018. During his set, you will be treated to heavy rolling basslines rumbling through your chest as his thrilling, electric sound creates the perfect atmosphere to become one with yourself and the music.
ONE WORLD ARTIST
One World Artists is Tomorrowland’s official artist agency, where they foster young talents and support well-established DJs and producers from around the world. And those artists usually have more than a little connection to the festival, of course. Here, we take a daily look at a One World Artist and the path they share with Tomorrowland in the past, present, and future.
MANDY
MAINSTAGE | 17:45 - 18:45
From the heart of the harder styles scene rises a true force of nature: MANDY doesn’t just play music, she lives it. Her journey through the world of hard dance has taken her from the underground to the biggest stages on Earth, and her name has become synonymous with pure, contagious energy. With every performance, MANDY connects with the crowd like few others can – feeling their vibe, feeding their fire, and pushing the tempo. Her signature sound blends hardstyle edge with rave-driven intensity, resulting in a unique fusion of hard dance that’s as accessible as it is powerful. It’s a sound that peaked during her debut at the Tomorrowland Mainstage last year, a sound that speaks to the People of Tomorrow’s universal language of unity, love, and freedom. Her journey even resulted in a short film called ‘Resolute – The Road to the Mainstage’, with her own show on One World Radio, ‘MANDY Mondays’ arriving in its slipstream. Ever since, her rise has been nothing short of meteoric.
With over 75 million streams on her own tracks and the only official harder styles remix of Tiësto & Post Malone’s track ‘Jackie Chan’ under her belt, MANDY continues to shape the future of hard dance, one highoctane set at a time. MANDY’s Tomorrowland journey is one of passion, persistence and undeniable talent, as doesn’t just bring the beat, she brings the full experience. After her scorcher of a set at the Great Library on Friday last weekend, it’s time for a Mainstage performance today. Go over, because when MANDY steps behind the decks you won’t just hear the music, you’ll feel it trembling through your every vein.
