What is that special spark, the delicate thread that runs through everyone’s experience of Tomorrowland and its various offshoots?
Few people have impacted Ibiza’s immersive superclub scene as significantly as Romain Pissenem, thanks to his next-level show and stage designs.
There are vineyards, and then there’s the one that reminds you what life is all about. There are precious few places in the world where people speak a hundred different languages yet understand each other completely… Tomorrowland is one of them.
TOMORROWLAND
LOVE AND UNITY THROUGH MUSIC
Ask a thousand People of Tomorrow what makes Tomorrowland so special and you’ll get a thousand different answers. They will all have one thing in common, though: magic. So what is this special spark, this delicate thread that runs through everyone’s experience of the festival and its various offshoots? While it can never be pinned down entirely, one thing is for sure: the spark springs from Tomorrowland’s twentyplus-year history and the philosophy that has propelled it from the start. By way of an introduction to how magic is made, here is an overview of how this momentous story came about and where the brand is at now.
TOGETHER ON A MISSION
Tomorrowland’s story is one of a festival born out of love for electronic music, humankind and Mother Earth, and the strong belief that an event combining these elements would change the industry forever. Manu and Michiel Beers, the festival founders, were inspired by the music they heard around the turn of the millennium and felt a strong connection with the people attending the clubs and festivals they visited. And yet, they were convinced that there was a potential for things to be done better. Way better.
Alongside an inner circle of close friends, the brothers decided to rebuild the concept of a festival piece by piece. Together with their team they shed blood, sweat, and tears to execute their vision in which every detail mattered: music, sound, stage, entourage, décor, and most of all, the people and their spirit. Together with ravers from all around the globe, Tomorrowland has created a place where people can be carefree and get together to engage in a genuine, unparalleled celebration that excites all the senses. Alongside endless DJ sets and live performances, all of this found a home in what is now officially referred to as the Holy Grounds. Originally that term meant the founders’ original stomping grounds of
De Schorre, Boom, Belgium, but these days, Sâo Paulo’s Parque Maeda and Alpe d’Huez in France are anointed with the same status, as additional editions of the festival are held there every year.
FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO WORLD-LEADING EVENTS
Changing the industry was never going to be an easy feat, as you might imagine. Manu and Michel organised their first event, XplosionDixies, back in 1999, then moved on to the Antwerp is Burning raves between 2000 and 2004. The brothers became widely known for this series of events, but while Antwerp is Burning was a huge success with the audience, the concept struggled to break even. Then, when everyone advised the two visionaries to stop, they dreamt even bigger instead. 2005 saw the first edition of Tomorrowland with 9,000 ravers heading to Boom. Fast forward to 2015, and the festival drew no less than 360,000 visitors. Gone are the days that the festival didn’t quite sell as many tickets as the team hoped for: they’re now selling out within the hour and they have done so for many years.
More than just a festival, Tomorrowland has become a lifestyle, with the festival-goers referring to themselves as the People of Tomorrow.
TOMORROWLAND AS A WAY OF LIFE
More than just a festival, Tomorrowland has become a lifestyle, with the festivalgoers referring to themselves as the People of Tomorrow. They head to the Holy Grounds in Belgium, Brazil, and France to leave their daily worries at home, and to immerse themselves in an environment enriched by nature’s healing touch. The rolling landscapes, the green grass, gently flowing waters, majestic trees, and winding paths form a protective cocoon, an oasis that creates an atmosphere unlike any other.
Over the years, the team behind Tomorrowland has constantly challenged the status quo, always refining, adjusting, and perfecting all the things they’ve done before. As a result, Tomorrowland is now on most every raver’s wishlist as an electronic music event. But the spirit of Tomorrowland travels far beyond the duration of the festival. It has inspired visitors to express the purity of the human soul and release their inner child, to truly be themselves and to encourage others to do the same, no matter how unique or different they are. It’s a widely heard refrain among previous visitors to Tomorrowland that they end up with a different, more open outlook on life, and so they have not merely become alumni—they have become part of a tribe, the People of Tomorrow. If you love this festival of magic, you are likely to also love and respect people, nature, and the planet. Isn’t this the kind of unity that we all long for as human beings?
AN EVER-EXPANDING WORLD
As Tomorrowland kept on growing year on year, so have opportunities to diversify its offerings. From hosting an immersive audiovisual experience in Madrid to producing club nights in Ushuaïa, and from providing a mix of poolside parties and desert adventures in Dubai’s Terra Solis to building a flagship lifestyle store in Ibiza, the list of year-round Tomorrowland activities is endless. Partnerships, including those with renowned Michelin-star chefs, Ridley gravel bikes, the exclusive Baobab scented candles, and the Serax tableware collection, have been another way of fulfilling the People of Tomorrow’s wish to bring bits of the festival’s spirit into everyday life.
Across all of its myriad ventures, Tomorrowland moves into new directions whenever it feels right—no matter how uncharted the waters. The festival’s fiction book series, with the ongoing ‘Book of Wisdom’ trilogy as a highlight, is a prime example of how new ideas are developed at this once small company from Belgium: the backstories to every year’s festival theme had become so elaborate that it only made sense to turn them into a fictional universe—and so Tomorrowland did. That same spirit lives on in creations like Solo Vida, Tomorrowland’s own premium sparkling wine, and the MORPHO furniture line, designed by its in-house Great Library Design Studio. Just like that, any venture undertaken by the team meets their desire to make the world a better, truly life-enhancing place. Tomorrowland regularly evaluates these new paths taken, which means that the main strands of its uniquely magical multiverse could look fundamentally different in a couple of years. One thing however, will not change: Tomorrowland’s founders are dedicated to remain passion-driven, staying true to their core beliefs: to live today, to love tomorrow and to keep people united forever.

REMEMBER THE G OOD TIMES
DOWN MEMORY LANE WITH AFROJACK, AMBER BROOS, HARDWELL, AND ARMIN VAN BUUREN.
“The festival’s heart goes far beyond music. They are very much about making a real difference in the world.”
Tomorrowland is full of little stories not least on the part of the artists, who get to shine on stage and off as they meet their peers and fans. Here, new connections are made, new musical directions taken; for many, it’s a very important gig. Now over two decades into its journey, Tomorrowland remains a meeting point for the artists who have helped shape the scene. So bringing together four core Tomorrowland performers for a roundtable discussion only seemed appropriate. Dutch house producer from the first hour, Afrojack, techno and old school Belgian rave connoisseur Amber Broos, and Armin van Buuren, arguably the biggest name in trance, all represent different scenes. They are united in their love for the festival along with Hardwell, fan favourite from day one. So what are these artists’ most cherished Tomorrowland memories when it comes to music, connecting with others, and getting inspired?
HARDWELL
Amber Broos
“Unity is one of the main themes at Tomorrowland. Everyone goes to support everyone’s sets.”
Afrojack
AFROJACK
Welcome everyone! This is not a group that comes together every old day, so let’s talk about friendships to begin with. You’ve all become producers because you love music through and through, and everyone else you meet at Tomorrowland feels the same way. What can you say about the interactions you have had with other artists at the festival? Have they resulted in friendships and collaborations?
Armin: “The artists I meet at Tomorrowland are mostly people I already know or have collaborated with. But it’s amazing to see them work their magic and inspire others, myself included. It’s always great catching up with them too. Meeting at Tomorrowland has often been the final push in hitting the studio together when I’ve discussed it with someone but never got around to it. Besides that, I joined Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike on stage a few times to play our tracks together and that was always special.”
Afrojack: “What I also love is the backstage artist area, where part of the magic is seeing the like of Keinemusik, Tiësto and yourself, Armin, getting involved in the same conversation.”
Amber: “Being much younger than you two, for me being at the festival comes with the chance to meet people I’ve always admired. I’ve built some amazing connections with other DJs and musicians. Last year, I hosted my own stage,
which gave me the opportunity to invite some artists to play Tomorrowland for the very first time. Being able to support and showcase other talents in that way is something I’m really passionate about.”
Tomorrowland is obviously also a place where you can see a lot of people perform. Has seeing other artists play at Tomorrowland ever inspired you?
Afrojack: “Unity is one of the main themes at Tomorrowland. Everyone goes to support everyone’s sets and we all go to enjoy the magic of the Mainstage, its soundsystem and stage design. I recently got very inspired by a new artist called Parisi, and I also saw David Guetta’s set at the Mainstage last year. It was such a big closing and it included so much musical history!”
Amber: “I’ve seen beautiful and emotional sets by Kölsch, raved hard during Reinier Zonneveld’s set, and then went to something completely different like a drum & bass set by Andromedik. These were all completely different kinds of performances, but each one was insightful in its own way. It’s fascinating to see how different genres and approaches move the crowd and it’s definitely influenced the way I think about my own sets.”
Armin: “I totally agree. I love watching other artists, checking out which tracks they select for a specific moment, and seeing how they keep the crowd involved.”
Hardwell: “But that comes with a bit of healthy competition. Knowing the amount of time and effort everyone puts in has always driven me to go the extra mile to make my set stand out. Every artist who plays Tomorrowland wants the fans to look back at the festival and remember their set.”
You are all familiar with the Tomorrowland Academy, the festival’s talent development program. How important is mentoring new talent for you? Have you ever engaged in mentoring yourself?
Armin: “Everyone has had a mentor in one way or another, myself included. It’s important because it helps a new generation to rise and it also means that dance music can continue to evolve.”
Afrojack: “Agreed! Together with Tomorrowland, I launched the WALL PRO Academy, which is an advanced class for those who have already been doing music for a while.”
Amber: “My dad, who is also a DJ, started something similar a while ago. It’s called Begin to DJ. After a while, I also began to tutor children in DJ’ing, which turned out to be a very fulfilling and rewarding experience. It was truly the best student job I ever had.”
Hardwell: “When I first started out, there wasn’t really much on offer for kids seeking a start in the dance scene. I didn’t have a DJ dad, unfortunately! But that is why these days, I love supporting and helping new talent and it’s something I get deeply involved in with my label, Revealed.”
Can you mention a recent development regarding the festival that you find remarkable?
Armin: “I personally feel the Tomorrowland Foundation is amazing! I believe being able to creatively express yourself is fundamentally important, and I think it’s great that Tomorrowland is trying to make that happen for children and young adults who have been less fortunate in life. I visited the Foundation’s projects in India and it was overwhelming!”
Hardwell: “I’ve always loved the way Tomorrowland sets the scene of the festival from the moment fans get off the plane at the airport. The decision to partner with Brussels Airlines, branding not just the airplanes but also a whole terminal at the airport, is such a cool extension of the festival’s global identity.”
“It’s amazing to see artists work their magic and inspire others, myself included.”
AFROJACK
Armin Van Buuren
ARMIN VAN BUUREN
Amber Broos: “For me it’s also the Tomorrowland Foundation. I had the privilege of working with them on a new project in collaboration with an organisation called Mobile School. It’s truly amazing to see Tomorrowland not only focus on the festival experience but also give back to communities and contribute to important causes. The fact that they are supporting such impactful and meaningful projects that help children grow and learn is something I deeply admire. It shows that the festival’s heart goes far beyond music. They are very much about making a real difference in the world.”
What has been your absolute personal highlight from over 20 years of Tomorrowland?
Armin: “That’s getting to announce the birth of my son at Tomorrowland in Belgium, in 2013, in front of a huge crowd of people. Being able to share something so personal with such an amazing crowd is an unparalleled experience.”
Afrojack: “That must have been a very special moment, Armin! I think my personal highlight has to be Avicii playing the Mainstage during the day. He played right after me and I remember me, NERVO, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike just watching him play and really enjoying it. It reminds me of how friendly and loving our industry is.”
Hardwell: “With Tomorrowland every year is special, so there’s been plenty of standout moments, but there was just something different about my 2022 set with my ‘REBELS NEVER DIE’ show. With the new sound I was presenting, it felt like nothing else I’d felt before up on that stage, and the fans’ support that night was fantastic.”
Amber Broos: “My absolute favourite memory is surely the first time I ever played at the festival, at the Freedom stage. Before that, I hadn’t even been able to attend because I wasn’t old enough yet, and then, after COVID, everything just lined up perfectly. I was finally the right age and not only could I go, but I got to perform there. It was truly an unforgettable moment, one that I shared with my closest friends and family. On that day, I could feel the overwhelming love and excitement from the crowd and it felt like everything in my journey had led to that moment.”
IBIZA IBIzA’S COMING OF AGE
Bali may be excellent for a beach boogie, and Tulum is rightfully claiming its position within the top ranks of the seaside party scene, but the one island that inspired all of these sandy clubbing destinations is, and will always be, Ibiza. Without a doubt, the ‘White Isle’ has set the standard for world-class music, open-air dance floors, and unforgettable nights—all wrapped in a spirit of freedom, creativity, and cultural exchange.
From the first barefoot hippies to the rise of mega clubs, and from the birth of the Balearic Beat to the arrival of Tomorrowland, Ibiza’s nightlife has gone through countless transformations. Let’s take a walk through the island’s vibrant party history—decade by decade—tracing the cultural evolution that turned this tiny Mediterranean island into a global icon.
1950S AND 60s
THE ARRIVAL OF THE FIRST HIPPIES
The first travellers began to arrive in Ibiza, looking to indulge in music, sex, and freedom, but the word hadn’t quite spread yet. “People at the time did not know about Ibiza, definitely not in London,” recalls Damien Enright, author of the book ‘Dope in the Age of Innocence’, and one of the early nonnative residents of the island.
1970s
THE BALEARIC BEAT
Hippies flocked to Ibiza and the island became known for its counterculture. 1976 saw the opening of the island’s first nightclub: Amnesia, a converted country house. The cover charge of 25 pesetas (the equivalent of €1.74) included one drink. Amnesia became famous for the invention of the so-called Balearic Beat, a sun-drenched genre of dance music pioneered by the late, great DJ Alfredo.
1980s
CLUBBING TAKES OVER
The White Island started to draw larger groups of clubbers, who’d have the time of their lives in venues like Pacha, Club Ku and, of course, Amnesia. One of the smaller party hotels, Pikes, got lucky when Wham! filmed their video for ‘Club Tropicana’ on the premises in 1983.
IBIZA
1990s
RAVE REIGNS SUPREME
These were the heydays everyone always talks about, all the more so now that ‘90s sounds have been rediscovered as the pinnacle of no-holds-barred raving. Manumission is often quoted as the island’s wildest club night of this particularly hedonistic era. Legendary DC10 opened its doors right at the end of the decade, in 1999.
2000s THE ULTIMATE TRANCE DESTINATION
According to a Mixmag survey, four in ten ravers feel nostalgic for Ibiza’s club culture in the noughties. Paul Oakenfold, Tiësto, and Sasha released classic after classic during this period, in which trance blew up to become larger than life—so yes, the sentiment is quite understandable!
2010s
TOMORROWLAND TOUCHES DOWN
Strictly speaking, Ushuaïa entered the scene by the end of the previous decade, but it wasn’t until a few years later that this spectacular outdoor venue came into full bloom. And it was here that Tomorrowland made its long-awaited Ibiza debut, marking the start of a new chapter for the festival. In 2017, it launched the first ‘Garden of Madness’ residency, hosted every Tuesday by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. The residency returned for several consecutive summers—2018, 2019—and helped solidify the Tomorrowland identity on the island.
Meanwhile, in 2016, Ibiza had been added to Tomorrowland’s Global Journey Discover Europe package—a curated travel experience that lets festivalgoers explore iconic European cities before flying to Belgium. Ibiza quickly became one of the most soughtafter stopovers, with beach parties and catamaran cruises ramping up the prefestival hype.
2020s
Following the pandemic, every musicloving soul in the world felt the urgent need to party. Luckily for many, Tomorrowland reignited its presence on the island with even more momentum. The residency at Ushuaïa returned in 2022 under a new banner, with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike once again headlining Wednesday nights each summer through 2023, 2024, and now again in 2025.
Ibiza’s nightlife also saw a broader transformation: productions became vastly more theatrical and professional, with the arrival of brand-new hyperclub UNVRS being one of the most recent highlights. And in 2025, Tomorrowland opened the doors to its first permanent store right here in Ibiza, just steps from Ushuaïa and Hï—adding a new, yearround dimension to its presence on the island. Clearly, the best is yet to come!

BAOBAB
PAYING TRIBUTE TO THE HARMONY BETWEEN NATURE AND IMAGINATION
If Tomorrowland is known for one thing, it’s creating worlds— not just with sound and light, but with feeling. Everything is designed to stir the senses. And smell, perhaps the most emotional of them all, had long been the missing piece.
Enter the Baobab Collection. Belgian artisans of atmosphere, celebrated for their hand-poured candles, signature scents, and mouth-blown glass designs, Baobab are known from Antwerp to New York City as supreme storytellers. And this story is one that builds mood through olfactory memory and visual elegance.
Back in 2021, Tomorrowland and Baobab launched their first collaborative candle: an invitation to bring the festival’s magic home. Now, three editions in, the partnership has matured into something deeper. Each collection refines the scent, the vessel, and the emotion.
The latest release blends notes of pear, lily of the valley, and moss. It’s a fragrance inspired by the mythical Elixir of Life, rooted in one of Tomorrowland’s legendary tales. The design is just as considered: soft pink glass, silk-screened in Art Nouveau style, paying tribute to the harmony between nature and imagination. Because scent has power. It grounds us. Transports us. It lingers when the moment has passed. And that’s exactly what makes this collaboration work: both Baobab and Tomorrowland understand that the smallest details can leave the deepest imprint.
Available in three sizes, the Tomorrowland x Baobab Collection is sold through store.tomorrowland.com and featured at the Tomorrowland Store in Ibiza.
THE ISLAND’S BEST SPOTS
With a Tomorrowland residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza lighting up every Wednesday this summer, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are no strangers to the White Isle. The DJ duo have long been part of the Tomorrowland family. From the festival’s early days in Belgium to some of its most iconic global moments, the brothers have helped shape the soundtrack of countless magical memories.
But behind the stage lights and beat drops lies another side of their story, one that is grounded in quiet beaches, unforgettable meals, and secret hideouts. Because when you spend as much time in Ibiza as they do, the island becomes more than a tour stop. It becomes a second home. So we asked Dimitri and Mike to share their favorite places on the island. From bohemian beach clubs to sunset rituals, this is their personal guide to Ibiza!
BY
&DIMITRI VEGAS LIKE MIKE & 1.
1. Ushuaïa Ibiza
“Our Wednesdays at Ushuaïa are the heartbeat of the summer. It’s where we get to go all-in with full production, epic visuals, and that unreal energy from the crowd. Together with Tomorrowland, we’ve created something really unique here. This season’s theme is ‘The Reflection of Love’, and honestly, it might be our favourite so far!”
2. Ses Boques
“Ses Boques is one of those places that feels like it hasn’t changed in years, and we say that as a compliment. It’s a little family-run seafood spot near Es Cubells where you sit under the trees, drink some wine, and just forget about time. There is no pressure here, just good food, good vibes, and stunning sea views. It’s one of our go-tos for the perfect laid-back lunch.”
3. Jondal
“Jondal is the kind of place where you kick off your shoes and dive into a plate of something ridiculously good. The setting’s unreal too. Cala Jondal beach is probably one of our favorite beaches on the whole island. Oh, and we can’t forget about the caviar pasta. That dish alone is worth the trip.”
4. OKU Ibiza
“OKU is where we check out for a minute. The vibe is low-key with the perfect mix of natural design, wellness, and exceptional cuisine. Whether we’re stretching out by the pool, grabbing a bite from the sushi bar, or just soaking in the calm, it’s our little sanctuary when we need to slow it all down.”
5. Es Vedrà
“This place is sacred to us. For me (Dimitri), it’s where I proposed to Anouk—so yeah, that’s an important memory there. But even beyond that, Es Vedrà has this energy you can’t explain. Watching the sunset from there never gets old. It’s the kind of view that makes you stop and just breathe it all in.”
5.
6.
6. Formentera
“When we get a day off and need a proper reset, Formentera is the move. You hop on a boat and an hour later you’re in another world with crystal-clear water, white beaches, and way less buzz. We usually go to Beso Beach for lunch, cruise around on scooters, then head to Cap de Barbaria for one of the most beautiful sunsets you’ll ever see. It’s peaceful, simple, and perfect.”
7. Experimental Beach
“There’s something effortlessly cool about Experimental. Even though it’s pretty well-known, it’s never trying too hard. Maybe that’s why it works so well. You’re also right between the salt flats and the sea, which, again, means amazing views. It’s our secretnot-so-secret spot.”
8. Hidden Gems
“Ibiza still has so many spots that feel untouched, but you just have to go looking. Places like Cala Llentrisca or Portixol aren’t exactly on the map, and that’s the beauty of it. You hike a bit, maybe get lost, and then boom—you’re in a little cove with no one else around. We’re not giving away all our secrets, though… some things you’ve got to find yourself.”
RIDLEY
Before Ridley bikes were gliding down sunny roads in Ibiza, they were racing through muddy fields in Flanders. Born from Belgium’s deep-rooted cycling culture, Ridley has spent decades perfecting bikes that can handle it all: from cobblestones and crosswinds to mountain climbs and winding coastlines. Every frame is designed, tested, and painted in-house, with the same obsessive attention to detail that goes into your favourite DJ’s final mix.
So when Ridley joined forces with Tomorrowland, it wasn’t just about building a bike or designing a matching apparel collection. It was about creating a feeling. One of movement, freedom, and that undeniable pull toward the extraordinary. The Tomorrowland x Ridley collection blends high-performance engineering with subtle design nods to the festival world. Gradient paintwork inspired by the sky, logos and details that whisper in the wind rather than shout; these bikes are built for those who chase the horizon, long after the finish line.
And now, in Ibiza, you can take them for a spin in a setting that feels straight out of a dream. The Tomorrowland x Ridley Experience, curated by Bike Ibiza, invites you to explore the island like never before. Ride through pine forests, pause at secret beaches, and refuel with panoramic views. Each route is guided and tailored for adventure, with equal parts challenge and celebration.
And it doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned cyclist or simply curious, because no matter the level, this ride tells a story worth remembering.
Bikes and gear are available via store.tomorrowland.com and ridley-bikes.com, and the Ibiza experience can be booked through bike-ibiza.com.
FROM STAGE TO STATE OF MIND
ROMAIN
PISSENEM
Few people have impacted Ibiza’s immersive superclub scene as significantly as Romain Pissenem, thanks to his next-level show and stage designs. The French visionary and his team have worked with a wide range of DJs including David Guetta, Amelie Lens, Sarah Landry, FISHER, and Black Coffee, whose appearances on the island and beyond are now more show-driven than ever. Meanwhile, Pissenem is still producing shows at Hï Ibiza, UNVRS, and Ushuaïa. Productions at the latter club include the Wednesday nights curated by Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, where Pissenem works under the creative direction of the Tomorrowland team. In between doing fifty shows a week, having breakfast with his kids, and hardly getting any sleep, Pissenem somehow found the time to chat about state-of-the-art electronic music productions and the magic of Ibiza, as well as his favourite Tomorrowland Mainstage designs.
Good morning Romain. Did you sleep alright?
“I did, but not for very long... I ran a Dimi and Mike show at Ushuaïa yesterday, then went to UNVRS at 11 pm and stayed until 5 am. I got up at 6:30 to have breakfast with my kids and here I am, with puffy eyes but lots of energy!”
There must be something in the water here… What is it about Ibiza, you think, that gives you that energy? What’s the magic that can’t be reproduced elsewhere?
“This place is special for so many different reasons. You can ask the question to as many people as you want and they will all agree that it is great, but they will all have their own answer. For me, what springs to mind first is the fact that there’s no place with so many genres of music. It’s also the place where many of those genres blew up.”
Tell us a little more about those residencies. Why are they such an important feature of local nightlife?
“A first residency on the island is a huge thing in an artist’s career. In fact, I think the concept of the DJ residency is endemic to Ibiza. There is a little bit of it in Las Vegas, but the musical offering isn’t as varied there. The season is now six months long.”
Do you remember the very first time you set foot on the island?
“Of course! I came over with my brother Yann and we went to Privilege, a huge venue that is now home to brand-new hyperclub UNVRS. As we walked out of the club, I saw a billboard promoting
Manumission (a legendary club night in the ‘90s and ‘00s—eds.). It triggered an epiphany in me and confirmed an idea I had been contemplating for some time — the concept of what I used to call an ‘electronic theatre. It’s been 27 years now, and I still think back to that moment often.”
Were you already involved in event production back then?
“In a way, I’ve been doing it since I was very young and still living in my native city of Nancy. I was into theatre, but I needed money to finance those performances. In order to fund the productions, I’d organise raves inside the venues, with about a hundred people dancing on the stage.”
DAVID GUETTA | ALULA | SAUDIA ARABIA
Talk about starting off small… When you look at the production of club shows now versus twenty years ago, what have been the most notable developments?
“This is one of my favourite things to talk about! Twenty years ago, you had zero production on electronic shows. A DJ would come in with some records or a USB and that was it. Then things started to change with a revolutionary show by Daft Punk at Coachella, and Tomorrowland’s Mainstages becoming more and more elaborate. Before my brother and I started doing our thing here in Ibiza, clubs didn’t have stages, just DJ booths. Stage design has evolved massively and it has had a big impact on how DJs are touring. It’s clearly moving toward how things are done in the live music industry. See, in the 1970s, rock stars were mainly playing festivals, but as their shows got bigger, the festivals could no longer accommodate their requirements and arena shows became a thing.”
So if dance music performances are moving toward pop shows in terms of production, what does this mean for festivals like Tomorrowland?
“Well, Tomorrowland is an exception. Festivals with plain stage designs will have to accommodate the artists, but everyone loves the stages Tomorrowland designs, myself included. Every year I’m like, what will it be this time? Come midJuly, I’ll get excited just thinking about it! It makes it so that artists aren’t likely to travel to Tomorrowland with their own production. That would be like going to a Michelin-star restaurant and bringing your own food!”
Speaking of Tomorrowland Mainstage designs, which theme and design is your personal favourite?
“Like I say, I love all of them, but I can still picture the underwater one very clearly. What’s that one called?”
The Story of Planaxis.
“Ah yes. You simply can’t do more
storytelling than Tomorrowland does with their stage designs. They’re so massive, yet there is so much to see. It’s a huge part of the immersive experience that the festival delivers.”
Have you ever been to Tomorrowland, then?
“I’ve never had the chance, sadly! Tomorrowland happens during the busiest time of the year for me. But I won’t give up, I still believe I may make it to Belgium this summer!”
Generally speaking, in recent years, pop artists have been referencing more and more elements of rave culture not only musically, but also visually. What are some of the most exciting examples of the mainstream tapping into the old school rave sensibility in your opinion?
“I’ve been personally involved in this transition, actually. I was asked to do the show direction for the closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, and of course I accepted very proudly. I instantly thought of highlighting French music culture in the show. So much great electronic stuff comes from France, so I got artists big and small, and as diverse as Jean-Michel Jarre, Miss Kittin, Cassius, Etienne de Crécy, and Martin Solveig to collaborate. For me, this moment came with the realisation that electronic music had finally become mainstream in a sense. We basically performed for a crowd of 800 million people!”
Wow! Now before we conclude, let’s go back from that ultra-large scale to the intimate and quiet. Whenever you need a break from your busy work in Ibiza, what do you usually do to become zen again?
“This may not be the answer you wish to hear, but when I really need some time for myself when the sun is scorching hot in August, I usually go for a drive around the island and listen to Christmas music. Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, that kind of stuff. Even though the temperatures are unbearable at that point, thinking about a white Christmas still cools me down somehow!”
“People forget that before me and my brother started doing our thing here in Ibiza, clubs didn’t have stages just DJ booths.”

MORPHO
MORPHO BY TOMORROWLAND
Every Tomorrowland stage begins with a question: what if space could move you?
That same question sparked MORPHO: a new design label by Tomorrowland’s Great Library Design Studio. Rooted in Belgium, but built for the world, MORPHO isn’t about trends or decoration; it’s about atmosphere, intention... about transformation. MORPHO offers furniture and objects that feel alive—sculptural but grounded, architectural yet warm.
The first collection merges powder-coated steel with solid wood and bold geometry with subtle details. There’s tables that anchor a room and lounge chairs that invite pause. Designs feature sweeping, organic curves that set the tone without stealing the show.
For its first chapter, the label joined forces with a trio of Belgian pioneers who share a love for craftsmanship with purpose. Ethnicraft brings its signature blend of natural materials and
timeless construction, blessing each piece with a quiet strength. Atelier Vierkant adds a sculptural edge with handcrafted ceramic vessels that feel born from the earth itself. And RVB elevates everyday rituals with precision-engineered taps that blur the line between function and art. Together, they shape a design language that feels both elemental and elevated. It’s built to last, but made to evolve.
You’ll find MORPHO’s vision brought to life right here at the new Tomorrowland Store in Ibiza, on the leafy terrace with its striking bespoke metal umbrellas as well as indoors, where it weaves through the space like a calm undercurrent.
This is design for those who see the beauty in structure. For those who believe that furniture can be more than an object—it can hold meaning. Discover MORPHO via ethnicraft.com and experience it in full at the Tomorrowland Store in Ibiza.
THE RISE OF THE SCARF
TIE IT, TWIST IT, STYLE IT YOUR WAY
Once a practical staple and timeless accessory, the scarf has officially claimed its spot as 2025’s most versatile fashion statement. It’s been spotted on icons like Hailey Bieber and beloved Tomorrowland performers like Keinemusik, tied effortlessly around heads, necks, waists—or even boldly worn as a top under the Ibiza sun.
From classic bandana vibes to elegant silk folds, the scarf is no longer just a finishing touch, it’s the whole look. Wrap it around your ponytail for a beachy flair, let it dangle from your bag with a Tomorrowland charm, or fold it into a chic bandeau. In the scarf, style meets soul, and function meets flair.
Tomorrowland’s latest scarf drop is made from flowing silk and comes in a larger size, designed to inspire endless styling moments. Perfect for the terrace, the dancefloor, or golden hour at Playa d’en Bossa. It’s a nod to the past (think 1940s elegance), and a love letter to the free-spirited present. Whichever way you wear it, make it yours.

MISS MONIqUE
When Miss Monique first played at Hï Ibiza three years ago, she pinned a photo of her set to her wall and told herself: “One day, I want to see my name and face on an Ibiza billboard and have my own night.” Fast forward to summer 2025, and that dream is glowing in neon. Not only that, she’s made history as the first Ukrainian female artist to host a residency on the island, holding down Thursdays in the iconic Club Room at Hï Ibiza. How about that!
And with more time spent on the White Isle comes the joy of discovering its hidden gems and everyday rituals. Her days now move to a different rhythm: early-morning bike rides, tennis matches with fellow DJs, sunset dinners, and, of course, curating unforgettable nights behind the decks. Ibiza has become her second home, and these are the places that make it feel that way.
1.
1. Hï Ibiza
“This is where everything started for me on the island. It’s also where my connection with David Guetta became something more. We’d crossed paths at festivals before, but here we finally had time to really connect. And now… I’m a resident! Being one of the first female artists to hold this title at Hï Ibiza means the world to me. Let’s go!”
2. Café Mambo
“If you haven’t been to Mambo during sunset, you’re missing out on something truly special. That mix of music, food, and golden light over the water is magical every single time. I’ll be playing the official pre-party here every other week during my residency, and I can’t wait! The energy, the view… it’s just perfect.”
3. Cycling Ibiza
“I actually brought my bike all the way from Portugal, because I couldn’t imagine leaving it behind. And I’m so happy I did. Riding across Ibiza is one of my favourite ways to clear my head. The roads can be challenging, but they take you through some of the most beautiful parts of the island. And the best part? In summer, you barely see anyone else out there. It’s probably because of the heat, but it feels like the whole island is yours.”
4. The Bubble Club
“This place has become part of my weekly routine. I love playing tennis and the Bubble Club is where I go to move, sweat, and reset. It’s more than just a tennis club, though. It’s a social hub, full of familiar faces. You’d be surprised how many DJs you run into on the court!”
5. Cala Llonga
“This beach has such a nice feel to it. It’s spacious, peaceful, and with the clearest water. It never feels too crowded, even in peak season. One of my latest Ibiza streams was recorded just up the hill at the Mondrian hotel, which makes this place feel even more personal. If you’re hungry, Nun and Shanti are two spots I always recommend. Great food and great energy.”
5.
6.
6. Casa Piedra
“Casa Piedra is one of those hidden gems I keep coming back to. It’s small, intimate, and has the most beautiful view of the lemon trees. Since moving to the island this summer, it’s become one of my favourite places to unwind over a delicious dinner.”
7. The Apartment
“There’s something really cool happening at the newly opened UNVRS: there’s a space called The Apartment. It’s invite-only, and when you arrive, they take your phone at the door. That means no filming (and no scrolling), just real conversations and connection. And every now and then, a surprise DJ jumps on. It’s completely different from other clubs, and I love that.”

THE ELIXIR OF LIFE
If you’ve ever stood in front of the Mainstage with goosebumps, you know Tomorrowland is more than music. It’s a feeling, one that’s hard to explain. And if you could bottle that moment, it might smell something like this.
The Elixir of Life Eau de Parfum is Tomorrowland’s first official fragrance. Inspired by the legendary 2016 theme and years in the making, it’s designed to do what Tomorrowland does best: turn a moment into something timeless. It opens with vibrant notes of pear, cassis, and fresh-cut grass, followed by a floral heart of gardenia, lily of the valley, and green leaves. The base is earthy and warm, moss and musk, lingering softly on the skin like the last notes of a perfect closing set. The result is subtle, grounded, and enchanting.
But it’s the design that truly brings the story full circle. The rose-gold flacon was directly inspired by the architecture of the Elixir Stage, one of Tomorrowland’s most beloved landmarks. With curved lines and mystical detailing, the bottle represents a small moment of festival magic sitting right there on your shelf. It’s a souvenir, a ritual, or simply, a reminder. Wear it to the office. Wear it to dinner. Wear it when you need to remember what it’s like to feel completely present, completely yourself.

THE SCENT OF TOMORROWLAND
L UNCHES , L OBSTER , AND L EGACY
Playa de Ses Boques
07839 Sant Josep de sa Talaia Ibiza
A Conversation with Joan from Ses Boques
Somewhere on a small beach along Ibiza’s southern coast lies a place that doesn’t have to chase trends, because it sets its own rhythm. Ses Boques is one of those rare restaurants that feels like it’s always been there, carved into the cliffs and seasoned by decades of salt air, grilled fish, and family tradition. What started as a simple beachside eatery in 1974 has grown into a beloved hideaway for locals, travelers, and an ever-growing list of Tomorrowland artists looking to unplug from the island’s party pulse.
At the heart of it all is Joan Portmany, who now runs the family business alongside his mother, sister, and brotherin-law. With a subtle mix of pride and humility, he speaks about his father, who built the restaurant from scratch, and about the spirit that continues to live on in every paella served. Tomorrowland’s connection to Ses Boques has grown naturally over the years, with artists and organisers seeking out the restaurant’s charm and atmosphere. We sat down with Joan to talk about legacy, lobster, and what makes Ibiza feel like home.
For those unfamiliar, can you tell us a bit about Ses Boques and how it all began?
“Ses Boques is the restaurant I run with my family. We’ve had it since 1974, so that’s more than 50 years now. It was my father and grandfather who built it, and today I take care of it together with my mother Lourdes, my sister, and my brotherin-law. It’s always been a true family place, and we’ve kept that spirit alive through the generations.”
Over the years, it’s also quietly become a favourite among the Tomorrowland crew. Do you remember when that connection first started?
“Honestly, I’m not exactly sure when it began. I think it was the two brothers, Michiel and Manu—they had already been coming here for years before we realised who they were or what Tomorrowland was. But once we made that connection, something clicked. Since then, I’ve built a real friendship with a lot of them, especially with Tomorrowland’s creative director, Christophe. A few years ago, I was even invited to Tomorrowland. It’s been a beautiful exchange.”
And since then, artists have kept returning. Is there someone whose visits have really stayed with you?
“Dimitri Vegas, for sure. He’s been coming here for a long time and has become a true friend. He’s not just a guest at this point, he’s part of the Ses Boques family now. It means a lot to us that someone like him feels that connection.”
What do you think makes a place like Ses Boques such a good fit for the Tomorrowland crowd?
“Tomorrowland brings people to Ibiza for music, creativity, and big ideas. But you also need a place to disconnect from all that, to think, to relax, and to enjoy. Ses Boques is that kind of place. We’ve had DJs, managers, creative directors come here not for the party, but to take a breath. One brings the energy, the other brings the peace. That’s why it works.”
Do you think Ibiza itself plays a role in that balance too?
“Absolutely. Ibiza has always been a place of freedom. In the ‘60s and ‘70s, people came here to escape the ongoing trouble in the world, to live differently, to feel free. That spirit never left. And I think it’s the same energy the People of Tomorrow are looking for: freedom, music, paradise. Ibiza gives you all of that.”
If someone walked into Ses Boques without knowing where they were, what would instantly give it away?
“The feeling. You’re sitting under trees on a wooden terrace, hearing the sea, smelling grilled fish and paella. You see the white church, the rustic tables. It’s simple, but it tells you right away: this is Ibiza.”
And speaking of paella, what’s a tradition here that you hope never changes, even as the island evolves?
“One of my favorite things is Sunday lunch with the family. We always sit down together and have a long meal with some fresh fish to start, then a big paella. It’s a rhythm of life that feels timeless. No matter what changes, I hope that this never will.”
Your father was the one who started it all. What part of his spirit do you think lives on most clearly today?
“He passed away this May, which has been very hard for us. But his spirit is everywhere here. He built Ses Boques from nothing, and he created many of the dishes we still serve, like the salted lobster and paella. Every time someone enjoys those meals, it feels like he’s still here with us.”
SOLO VIDA
DAY AT THE VINEYARD
HIGH ABOVE THE NOISE A
There are vineyards, and then there’s the one that reminds you what life is all about. One hour outside of Barcelona, high in the hills and far removed from the daily chaos, lies a place that feels more like a retreat than a winery. It’s a collaboration between Vallformosa and Tomorrowland, which might sound unexpected—until you visit. Then it all makes perfect sense. Think less of a tasting room, and more of a slowed-down, sunsoaked day of walking through grapevines, drinking sparkling wine under old trees, and ending up dancing under a cherry tree with a DJ spinning mellow beats. That’s Solo Vida. Here’s what it’s like to actually spend a day there.
It starts with silence. Real silence. The kind that makes your ears perk up because you’re so used to background noise you’ve forgotten what it’s like not to have any. You get out of the car and stand still for a moment. There’s the faint gust of wind through pine trees, birds chirping somewhere nearby, and nothing else. No traffic. No phones buzzing. Just air.
Then you notice the view. You’re high up, over 500 meters above sea level, with vineyards cascading down the hillside and a hazy outline of the sea off in the distance. Somewhere to the side, half hidden in the trees, is a castle that looks like it was built centuries ago (spoiler alert: it was). You’re not even five minutes in, and already you’re wondering why you don’t come to places like this more often.
Someone from the team hands you a welcome glass of Solo Vida—dry, fresh, very cold—and smiles in a way that makes it clear there’s no rush here. And so you don’t rush. You sip slowly, wander toward the edge of the terrace, and breathe in whatever blend of rosemary, lavender, and ‘ah yes, this is what fresh air actually smells like’ is floating around.
The group is small. Intimate enough that you don’t need name tags, but big enough that you can drift in and out of conversations. You start walking through the vineyard, led by a guide who clearly knows their stuff, but talks like a friend showing you around their backyard. There’s a story behind every grape, every stone, every slope. You learn about the 35 families who care for these vines. About how the wine is made. About how every centimetre of this place is formed by tradition, but still wide open to new ideas.
And somewhere along the way, things shift. You stop being a visitor and start being part of the rhythm. You crouch down to feel the soil. You crush a wild herb between your fingers and smell it. You sip another glass and laugh when someone tries to pronounce “Xarel·lo” and gives up halfway through.
If it’s harvest season, you might end up picking grapes or stomping them barefoot (which is both messier and more satisfying than you expect). Otherwise, you just keep walking, stopping now and then for a tasting in a different scenic spot. Each wine gets its moment: the crispness of the classic Solo Vida, the more layered Reserva, the Rosé that pretty much tastes like golden hour in a glass.
Lunch happens at a long outdoor table, shaded by olive trees and set with an easy kind of elegance. The food comes in waves: local produce, seasonal dishes, just enough of everything. Someone plays soft music on a speaker at the edge of the patio, and it blends into the atmosphere so well you almost forget it’s not coming from the wind itself.
By now, people are talking like old friends. You learn where someone flew in from. Someone else shares a photo of their dog. You pour another glass of wine, then switch to water, then wine
again. You’re not in a hurry to get to the next part. That’s sort of the point.
But the finale is worth moving for.
You walk a bit further, through a small path framed by trees, and arrive at the cherry tree. Not just any tree, mind. This one is older than your grandmother’s grandmother and wide enough to shade an entire gathering. Beneath it stands a low wooden platform, an actual Tomorrowland resident DJ, and speakers camouflaged by foliage. The music starts at a low pulse and gradually blooms into something you can’t help but move to.
As people start to dance, you sit down for a moment, watching the light shine through the leaves. The golden hour is doing its thing: softening the landscape, turning everything a little more magical. And you realise that this, this is the part no one really puts into words. Because they can’t.
It’s not just the wine or the view or the music. It’s the way they all come together. The way someone clinks their glass against yours without saying anything. The way a breeze lifts your hair at the exact moment the beat drops. The way you suddenly feel incredibly present.
There’s no grand finale. No curtain call. Eventually the music fades, people start exchanging contact details, and the group begins to scatter. As the sun sets, the castle behind you looks even more mythical. You already know the name Solo Vida will stick with you. Not as a label, but as a feeling.
After that, there is only pure life. And the knowledge that today, you lived it well.

The Solo Vida vineyard experience is available by appointment only, ensuring each visit stays intimate and tailor-made. “Martin Garrix once came into the studio and we talked about when we first met in 2013. He was still completely unknown back then, and he’d come to Tomorrowland just to party while DJs like David Guetta played ‘Animals’ in their sets. On air, he recalled: ‘I remember running around at Tomorrowland for the first time and my mind was blown, I was in heaven. A WORLD UNITED BY MUSIC
From the heart of Belgium to the snow-capped Alps and Brazil’s sun-soaked soul
There are precious few places in the world where people speak a hundred different languages yet understand each other completely… but Tomorrowland is one of them. What began as a local Belgian gathering in 2005 has grown into a global movement and a celebration of music, imagination, and human connection that now spans multiple continents with editions in Brazil and the French mountains, besides the Belgian home game. And still, that’s not everything, as Tomorrowland spinoffs and Tomorrowland-powered event hostings proliferate around the world.
Each edition of Tomorrowland tells its own story, shaped by its surroundings, community, and energy. But whether you’re dancing in the Belgian summer, the Brazilian sun, or the crisp air of the French Alps, the feeling is unmistakable: this is a place where people come to feel alive.
Let’s take a closer look at Tomorrowland’s three flagship festivals and its various extracurricular activities—and see what makes each of them unforgettable in its own way.
TOMORROWLAND BELGIUM
THE BIRTHPLACE OF A DREAM
In the heart of Belgium, not far from Brussels and Antwerp, a small town called Boom becomes something extraordinary each summer. It’s here, at De Schorre park, that Tomorrowland Belgium has taken root, not just as the original edition of the festival, but as its creative heart.
From its very first edition, Tomorrowland Belgium has pushed boundaries: not only in stage design, but in the way music and storytelling can be woven into one immersive journey. Each year, a new theme sets the stage for an entire world to unfold—a fantasy realm brought to life through stunning visuals, theatrical performances, and a lineup of global icons.
But what truly makes Belgium special is its sense of homecoming. For many, this is where their Tomorrowland story began. It’s where friendships are formed, traditions are made, and for two weekends each July, where the world feels beautifully small.

If Tomorrowland Belgium is where the story began, then Brazil is where it found a second heartbeat. Set in Parque Maeda, Itu, just outside the vibrant city of São Paulo, Tomorrowland Brasil brings the spirit of the festival to a country known for its passion, rhythm, and deep connection to music.
Everything here feels amplified: the sun, the sound, the smiles. The festival takes on a distinct identity, rooted in Brazilian culture but wrapped in the unmistakable Tomorrowland aesthetic. It’s all lush backdrops, spirited crowds, and an atmosphere charged with energy. Local and international artists share the stage, creating a blend that feels both global and proudly Brazilian. The welcome is warm, the parties go late, and the memories linger long after the music fades. Tomorrowland Brasil is much more than an extension of the festival— it’s a homecoming in its own right.

TOMORROWLAND WINTER
Far above sea level, where snow covers the rooftops and the stars feel closer, Tomorrowland takes on a new form. Set in the French alpine resort of Alpe d’Huez, Tomorrowland Winter is a unique fusion of winter sports and electronic music. Or better yet, a cold-weather chapter with a warm soul.
A SNOWY TALE AT THE SUMMIT
Here, visitors wake up to mountain views, spend their days skiing or snowboarding across 250 kilometres of slopes, and their nights dancing to world-class DJs in chalets, open-air stages, or beneath swirling lights in a dome. The air is crisp, the vibe is intimate, and the setting, carved out of the Alps, is pure magic. Tomorrowland Winter has a different pace than its summer siblings, but it’s no less immersive. For those who love a bit of adrenaline with their anthems, Tomorrowland Winter is where adventure meets the highest-altitude dancefloors.

BEYOND THE MAIN EVENTS
A UNIVERSE IN MOTION
Tomorrowland doesn’t just live on festival grounds, it extends into all corners of the world through unique events and experiences.
CORE
With CORE, what began as an intimate forest stage at Tomorrowland Belgium has grown into a full-fledged concept of its own. At its CORE, this is Tomorrowland’s most immersive stage experience: it’s a space unto its own where music, art, and nature intertwine. With a distinctive design language with a human touch, and a lineup that leans deep into the history and future of underground electronic sounds, CORE offers a more introspective side of dance culture. But this is not all: dedicated CORE events and stage hostings have already made their mark in places like Tulum and Medellín, and more are expected to follow in the future.
ATMOSPHERE
Known for its towering LED ceiling and cathedral-like scale, Atmosphere is Tomorrowland’s boldest techno temple. Originally built as a stage for the Belgian edition, it’s become a defining space for high-energy sets and raw, immersive sound.
With its own standalone events, like the recent indoor rave in Antwerp last year, Atmosphere continues to push the boundaries of light, sound, and intensity.
LOVE TOMORROW SUMMIT
Held on the sacred grounds of De Schorre in Belgium, the Love Tomorrow Summit is Tomorrowland’s annual gathering of future-focused minds. It brings together changemakers, artists, scientists, and thought leaders to explore how we can shape a more sustainable and inclusive world.
Through inspiring talks, workshops, and creative experiences, the summit invites visitors to look beyond the dancefloor and imagine a better tomorrow—one where purpose and celebration go hand in hand.
TOMORROWLAND AND INSOMNIAC TAKE OVER SPHERE

UNITY brings together the creative forces behind some of the world’s most legendary festivals, blending Tomorrowland’s enchanting themes of Planaxis, Adscendo, and Orbyz with Insomniac’s vibrant universes of Beyond Wonderland x Nocturnal, Escape x Countdown, and EDC.

THE ISLAND’S BEST SPOTS
BY
LOST FREqUENCIES
If you’ve ever danced to a Lost Frequencies track with the sun on your face and your feet in the sand, you’ll understand why his sound feels tailor-made for Ibiza. With his signature blend of breezy melodies and uplifting beats, the Belgian DJ and producer has carved out a unique place in the global dance scene—one that’s as much about feeling as it is about sound.
As a long-time member of the Tomorrowland family, Felix De Laet has played everywhere from the Mainstage to surprise beach sets. And this summer, he’s become a regular guest at Ushuaïa Ibiza, joining the Wednesday lineup hosted by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. But it’s not all about the music. Ibiza has become a place where he finds inspiration, slows down, and reconnects with the sea, the food, and those rare quiet moments in between the chaos of touring. These are the places that keep calling him back.
1. El Chiringuito
“I really enjoy this place. It’s very picturesque at the bottom ‘tip’, where most people don’t really go past the airport. You can find lot of locally sourced dishes, which I always like to experience when I visit any country, but the fresh seafood here is unparalleled! I love the Mediterranean and this is one of the reasons why.”
2. La Paloma
“La Paloma has the ultimate cosy setting. I like how it’s not too near any of the busy areas and everything is pretty much homemade. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by a lot of greenery, so you feel like you are having a private experience, no matter if you’re going for a light bite or something else.”
3. Jondal
“This has to be one of my top spots. Jondal is just north of Platja des Jondal—it’s a fancy but relaxed vibe if you want to enjoy some cocktails. There is something for everyone in terms of the menu and also, great pasta for whatever you’re feeling. Top tip: book in advance!”
4. Cala Gracioneta
“This is a great spot with a really nice view in a cosy cala near San Antonio. They make great cocktails and the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful!”
5. Oku
“Oku is just north of Sant Antonio, which is a welcome bonus. It gives the absolute Ibiza experience without feeling overwhelming. They have beautiful rooms and I have to admit they do an amazing breakfast. There is a great hike next to the hotel and I like to book a room that has a nice pool right outside, so I can go swim first thing in the morning!”
6. Cala Bassa to Cala Comte
“If you love hiking, this is such a great route. There are lots of coastal views and it’s a popular trail with lots of spots on the way for a bite to eat, or even just to relax and take in the views. I’d recommend starting early to avoid the heat!”
7.
7. Cala Olivera
“If you love swimming (and who doesn’t here!), this is a beautiful location and hidden gem up north on the coast, away from the hustle and bustle of the clubs. Crystal-clear waters and a perfect spot to sneak off to with some snacks for sunset!”
8. Es Portitxol
“This is also a super secluded spot. You can only access it by foot and it’s surrounded by stunning mountains. And it’s hidden away in a cove to top it off—a must-see if you can!” 5.

SERAX
PLATES WITH A PULSE
Some tableware simply serves a meal. Other pieces set the stage for memories. The Tomorrowland x Serax collection is very much the latter. It all began with two Belgian brothers, Serge and Axel Van Den Bossche, selling flower pots out of their mother’s garage. That was the early 1980s. Fast forward 40 years, and Serax is one of the most respected design houses in Europe, collaborating with names like Ottolenghi, Ann Demeulemeester, and Vincent Van Duysen. Their recipe? A refusal to rush things. A love of contrast. And a nose for partnerships that surprise.
So where does Tomorrowland fit in? On paper, a festival and a tableware brand might seem worlds apart. But dig a little deeper, and you’ll find a shared belief: that good design, like music, can move people. The result is
a full tableware collection that feels both earthly and otherworldly. Designed by the visionary minds at the Great Library Design Studio, the plates, bowls, and glasses carry Tomorrowland’s signature symbolism in subtle textures and sculpted details. Think mythical motifs, celestial references, and soft matte finishes that turn dinner into a moment worth pausing for. And with a colour palette featuring midnight black, warm sand, and twilight blue, it feels like it was pulled straight from the Mainstage at golden hour.
The Tomorrowland x Serax collection is available now via store.tomorrowland.com, with select pieces also featured at the Tomorrowland Store in Ibiza.
TOMORROWLAND FOUNDATION
THE SOUND OF A BETTER TOMORROW
How the Tomorrowland Foundation is helping children dream, dance, and discover, around the world
There’s a little boy in Itu, Brazil, who has learned how to hold a beat. Not with expensive equipment or private tutors, but with his own two hands, a room full of colours, and the unwavering encouragement of a teacher who believes in him. Every Tuesday, he walks up a dusty hill to a place that feels like magic— the Tomorrowland Foundation Music & Arts School—where he’s free to laugh, play, and create. At home, things are more complicated, but here, he’s just another kid with a song in his heart. The boy’s name is Rafael, and he’s nine years old. And like thousands of other children around the world, he is learning to write his own story—slowly, but joyfully—with the support of the Tomorrowland Foundation.
A mission built on joy and dignity
What began with a single school in the mountainous village of Sekha, Nepal, built in collaboration with local NGO Cunina, has since grown into a global network of creative sanctuaries under the umbrella of the Tomorrowland Foundation. In Kolkata, India, the Ek Tara-run school pulses with activity, while in Itu, Brazil, the newest Foundation Music & Arts School opened its doors in 2024. Each school is uniquely rooted in its local community, but all are united by the same purpose: to create a space where children can learn, dream, and belong.
Beyond these permanent schools, the Foundation supports a growing group of partner projects around the world. In São Paulo, initiatives like Projeto PAC, Estrella Nova, and CEL use the power of education and music to support underprivileged neighbourhoods. In Colombia, the Foundation collaborates with 4Eskuela, an arts-driven programme operating in Medellín’s most vulnerable districts. And across East Africa, from Kenya and Uganda to Zambia and Malawi, it joins forces with Join for Joy to bring music, storytelling, and life skills into rural classrooms.
No matter the location, the Foundation’s approach is rooted in trust, long-term partnerships, and deep respect for local expertise. The goal is not to export a Tomorrowland experience, but to support environments where creativity can flourish on its own terms.
Mobile magic: bringing learning to the streets
In many places, the classroom comes to the children, and quite literally so. Through its partnership with Mobile School, the Tomorrowland Foundation helps deploy extendable blackboards on wheels in 72 active projects across 39 countries. These ‘schools in motion’ are stocked with over 250 educational panels and designed to engage otherwise hard to reach youth through games, conversations, and creative exercises.
What makes the Mobile School partnership especially powerful is its adaptability. Whether used for trauma-sensitive counselling or playful math lessons, each mobile classroom is a doorway to trust and, eventually, transformation.
A toolkit for living
One of the most imaginative recent initiatives is the LIVE LOVE UNITE Toolkit, an interactive educational package designed around Tomorrowland’s core values. Created with Mobile School, the toolkit features videos and challenges led by 12 DJ Ambassadors including Armin van Buuren, NERVO, Afrojack, and Amber Broos. Each artist shares personal stories and fun assignments that help kids reflect on three powerful principles:
LIVE—Dare to be yourself
LOVE—Respect yourself and others
UNITE—Discover the power of collaboration
From a classroom in Kigali to a youth centre in Medellín, children now have a playful way to explore empathy, expression and identity, all inspired by the same spirit that fills Tomorrowland’s dancefloors.
Funding futures
Of course, none of this would be possible without support. And here, too, the Foundation has found inventive ways to connect with the global Tomorrowland community. Each year, a specially designed Foundation Collection of apparel is released, with 100% of profits going directly to Foundation projects. Guest tickets to the festival include mandatory charitable contributions, while donations can also be made through Pearl top-ups—the festival’s cashless currency. There’s even a Tomorrowland Restaurant with a view of the Mainstage, where part of the culinary experience funds creative education worldwide.
Dreams on the horizon
Looking ahead, the Tomorrowland Foundation has big dreams. A new project is set to launch in South Africa in 2026, expanding the reach of its physical spaces. Plans are also underway to scale the LIVE LOVE UNITE Toolkit to new age groups, including younger children and teenagers. And crucially, there’s a growing effort to embed these values into Tomorrowland’s broader ecosystem, making creativity, inclusivity, and social impact central pillars of the festival’s future.
The rhythm of change
It’s easy to be overwhelmed by the scale of the world’s challenges. But change doesn’t always arrive with a roar. Sometimes it starts with a single note on a borrowed keyboard. A child discovering their voice in a room full of rhythm. A smile after a song. A story shared.
For Rafael in Brazil, and for thousands like him, that moment has already arrived. He’s not just learning music, he’s learning that his story matters.
And that’s a future worth dancing towards.
“It’s truly amazing to see how Tomorrowland goes beyond the festival to give back to communities and support meaningful causes.”
- Amber Broos

THE GREAT LIBRARY OF TOMORROW
A
STORY TO CONNECT ALL OF TOMORROWLAND’S WORLDS
Tomorrowland is unique within the festival scene for setting every edition in a meticulously fleshed-out fantasy world. Every year’s Mainstage is different, a reflection of a story developed years in advance, and brought to life by performances and shows that invite visitors to dive deeper into the underlying mythology. For the past three years, they have been able to do so to a whole new extent with the introduction of Tomorrowland’s festival backstory novels, ‘The Rise of Adscendo’, ‘The Spirit of Life’ and the most recent volume ‘The Odes of Orbyz’. These books have received global acclaim from the People of Tomorrow and literary critics alike. Last year, literary-minded festivalgoers as well as fantasy fans in general were treated to even more stories, however: the creators of the festival are taking their fabled realms, including Adscendo and Silvyra, to the here and now in the first part of the long-awaited ‘Book of Wisdom’ trilogy. The first book, entitled ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’, invites the reader to explore places that they will recognise from the themes of Tomorrowland’s past.
‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ starts with an alarming observation: Perennia, the Rose Garden’s mythical dragon,
“In crafting this tale, Tomorrowland has created a testament to our enduring quest for deeper understanding of our place in this world.”
Louie Schwarzberg (director of Fantastic Funghi)
has gone missing, and her natural habitat is on fire. There is a sense of panic, but no need to despair: Helia, the Great Library’s Sage of Hope, and her nine spirited fellow sages are determined to protect the realm. Finding the Book of Wisdom that normally guides them eerily silent, they embark on a quest to defeat the suspected perpetrator, a dark entity known as the Ash Man. A thrilling novel in and of itself, ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ is rooted in the values that are so important to the People of Tomorrow: to live today, love tomorrow, and unite forever. In the book, unity, hope, love, and nature are under threat, but with the Sages on the side of the good, defeat is nowhere near. Carrying flames of positivity, they passionately unite to fight the forces of evil. The ten sages, who will become close to your heart as you submerge yourself in a story that can stand with the greatest works written in the genre, carry the true Tomorrowland spirit.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
The Book of Wisdom trilogy is written by Rosalia Aguilar Solace, who grew up in Mexico City, the scion of a long line of writers. Finding Rosalia can be a challenge, as she splits her time between her hometown, where you might catch a glimpse of her writing in a bookshop café, and The Great Library of Tomorrow. But whether she’s at home with family or researching future work, you can be sure of one thing: magical stories ensue. To follow Rosalia’s writing adventures, check out thegreatlibraryoftomorrow.com/novels and Rosalia’s socials, @rosaliaaguilarsolace on Instagram and Facebook.
STEVE AOKI’S THOUGHTS
Steve Aoki was one of the first to read ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ and he devoured it: “With this new fantasy book by Rosalia Aguilar Solace, Tomorrowland has once again exceeded all of my expectations. The characters, the worldbuilding, and the story had me immersed from page one. In true Tomorrowland fashion, the book embodies the culture and ethos of the festival that inspired it, breaking out into sensational new worlds. There are scenes that will have the reader thrilled and on the edge of their seat. And it is set in a whole new universe of worlds for us to explore, from the magical and evocative forests of Silvyra to the stunning City of Forever.”
ENHANCE
BY READING 2025’S FESTIVAL NOVEL
The Odes of Orbyz, the novel related to this year’s festival theme, is set in the subterranean city of Nymbuz, a glacial realm of snow and ice. Readers will discover a story of courage and friendship within the enchanting Tomorrowland universe. In the city, a sequence of disappeared citizens has the community in a state of unease. For Tybla, a warrior turned Adept of the Order of the Mane, the disappearances hit close to home, as most of those missing are from her neighbourhood. When a massive explosion in the mines sends shockwaves through the very place she’s sworn to protect, Tybla is determined to investigate. Was it their ancient rivals, the surface-dwelling Fallarine, or something lurking in the Deep-Dark of their homeland? Amidst the chaos, a chance encounter with a nomad from the Surface challenges everything she thinks she knows. But will that be enough to save their world?
THE ISLAND’S BEST SPOTS
BY
She’s got the beats, the banter, and the passport stamps to match. Arielle Free is one of the most dynamic names in dance music today with an infectious energy that’s simply too hard to ignore. Best known for hosting BBC Radio 1’s flagship dance show RaveUp, the Scottish DJ, broadcaster, and producer has become one of the UK’s most exciting voices in electronic music. Her rise has been anything but accidental, built on years of dedication, relentless touring, and a genuine love for the scene and its people .
Arielle is someone who lives life loudly, laughs easily, and makes you want to follow her to wherever the next adventure might be. And for her, Ibiza is full of them. From bingo nights in UFOs to mojito ice pops on the water taxi, she has the kind of island recommendations that make you want to drop everything and book a flight. It’s also where she got married last year, so it’s safe to say she knows a thing or two about magical moments. Here are her favourite places on the island.
2. ARIELLE FREE
1. The Water Taxi
“My favourite Ibiza travel hack! The Water Taxi is so underrated on the island. It whisks you between legendary beaches and hidden coves, avoiding all the usual traffic hassle. The views are incredible and there’s this refreshing sea breeze… They even come round with an ice bucket full of soft drinks, cervezas, wines, and the occasional mojito-flavoured ice pop!”
2. Juntos House
“The ultimate spot for al fresco dining. It has a lush outdoor terrace and stunning views, and the food is all fresh, farm-to-table. The menu changes daily depending on what they’ve harvested from the Juntos farm. And honestly? The espresso martini is probably one of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of sinking!”
3. Los Felices Bingo & Pizza
“This bright pink hotel in Cala de Bou does a super fun bingo night on Wednesdays and serves up some of the best pizza on the island. It’s perfect for a pre-club feast and a laugh with your mates. If you fancy staying longer, they’ve even got a mini club in the pool area. It’s a UFO you can hire with friends to go wild in. Ridiculous amounts of fun!”
4. Kumharas
“Kumharas is my go-to for sunset cocktails. It’s on the west coast and has this laid-back vibe that’s just magic. The sunsets are unreal, the drinks are spot on, and the whole atmosphere just pulls you in. If you love a good sunset moment, this is where you want to be.”
5. Pomelo Playa Beach Bar
“This one’s a new gem on the island. It has this really chill, boho vibe and is perfect for relaxing with friends or family. The food is delicious, the cocktails are refreshing, and the decor is just… aesthetically on point.”
6. Las Mimosas Spa & Pool Day
“If you need a little TLC, this is the place. Las Mimosas is a peaceful retreat with a lovely spa, a beautiful pool, and a cocktail menu to match. It’s perfect for a girls’ day out or a recovery session after too many nights raving. The massage menu is great, and the whole vibe is designed for full relaxation.”
7. Aubergine by Atzaro
“Aubergine is a dream if you’re into healthy, seasonal food. Everything’s made with fresh, organic ingredients and the menu is full of colourful, tasty dishes. The setting is so tranquil, and the staff always go above and beyond to really make you feel like you’re part of the family.”
4.
5.
8. El Carmen
“This beach bar is such a hidden gem. It’s got the most stunning views and this really relaxed, rustic charm. The fresh seafood is absolutely mouthwatering, and sipping cocktails while the waves crash against the rocks adds so much to it. Plus, not many people know about this place, which makes it feel even more special.”
9. Raco
“Raco is tucked away in San Rafael and it just captures the real spirit of Ibiza. Regine and Diego, who run it, have been on the island for over 30 years and they’re always sharing stories of Ibiza before it got big. They do this incredible Ibiza BBQ and often have DJs spinning grooves by the pool. At night, there’s a little club with art everywhere from the amazing artists who’ve stayed there over the years.”
10. UNVRS
“UNVRS is the island’s new club in the old Privilege building, and it’s so cool! The main room dance floor is insane, but make sure you explore… you might just stumble into the hidden bunker club or the plush terrace, with the iconic dome soaring overhead. Saturdays at Elrow are a must, and my own ‘Free Your Mind’ club night takes over the Wild Comet room on Fridays throughout August and September. I can’t tell you what we’ll be up to—you’ll just have to find out for yourself.”

You know it’s October in Amsterdam when the leaves turn red, the nights stretch a little longer, and the city becomes the dance capital of the world for Amsterdam Dance Event. Tucked between the buzzing clubs, industry panels, and canal-side crowds, one quiet space offered something a little different.
TOMORROWLAND AT ADE
A JOURNEY THROUGH THE STORIES, SYMBOLS, AND SPIRIT BEHIND TOMORROWLAND
After a well-received debut the year before, Tomorrowland returned to ADE in 2024 with a bigger presence, a broader scope, and a longer run. For five full days, the historic Rode Hoed in the heart of Amsterdam opened its doors to curious passersby, longtime fans, and new faces alike. Inside, the Tomorrowland Expo offered a portal for guests to step into a world built over two decades through visuals, sound, storytelling, and design. No lineups, no time slots, just the freedom to wander, reflect, and discover how Tomorrowland has grown into something far more than a festival. Here’s what that looked like.
STEPPING INTO THE STORY
The first thing you saw upon entering was a sweeping photo timeline capturing twenty years of Tomorrowland’s evolution. There were early snapshots from Boom, scenes of rain and sun and countless hands in the air, but also moments of pure imagination: a floating city, a mirrored stage, an underwater realm. From Planaxis to Adscendo, The Reflection of Love to LIFE, each year was represented not just as a theme, but as a fullyformed world.
For longtime festivalgoers, it was a trip through treasured memories. For newcomers, it offered a vivid sense of what Tomorrowland has come to represent: a space where music meets mythology, where design and story go hand in hand.
Scale models and creative sketches were dotted around the space, revealing the process behind the magic. To many, getting to see the early drawings up close, those first pencil lines that would eventually grow into towering set pieces, felt like unlocking a backstage secret—it was like viewing Tomorrowland from the inside out.
BEYOND THE FIELDS OF BOOM
The deeper you went, the clearer it became: Tomorrowland’s world stretches far beyond the festival weekends in Belgium.
In a quiet corner, visitors could sit and listen to an exclusive audio excerpt from The Great Library of Tomorrow, the first installment in what is already a two-book fantasy series inspired by the values and characters of the People of Tomorrow. Inspired by the ethos of unity, imagination, and personal
transformation, the story should feel both fantastical and familiar.
Alongside the literary world were several pieces also found in the Tomorrowland Ibiza Store: a customdesigned Ridley gravel bike, the Elixir of Life perfume, bottles of Solo Vida sparkling wine, and the exclusive LIFE 2LP vinyl featuring tracks from artists like Alok, Lost Frequencies, David Guetta, and more.
LOOKING FORWARD
While most of the Expo celebrated the past twenty years, it also offered a glimpse into the future. A small preview area introduced visitors to Tomorrowland x Caliverse, a next-generation metaverse experience.
At its core, the idea is simple: to allow people across the globe to experience the magic of Tomorrowland from wherever they are. But the execution is something much more immersive—a fully interactive 3D environment where festival stages become explorable worlds, and connection takes on new forms.
In a space where physical experiences remain powerful, the idea of digital evolution was handled with the same care and creativity that’s shaped Tomorrowland since the beginning. Head over to caliverse.tomorrowland.com to experience it for yourself.
A HEART THAT BEATS YEAR-ROUND
Not everything in the Expo was about building worlds. Some of it was about building futures.
A dedicated space was assigned to the Tomorrowland Foundation, shining a light on the many creative projects happening around the world. From Music & Arts Schools in Nepal, India, and Brazil to creative partnerships across Africa, the Foundation brings joy, education, and empowerment to places that might not otherwise have access to creative spaces. The newest initiative, the Live, Love, Unite toolkit, created in partnership with Mobile School, uses interactive games and 12 DJ ambassadors (including Amber Broos, Afrojack, and NERVO) to inspire selfexpression and confidence in young people across the globe.
THE 360 WALL: THE BIGGER PICTURE
Near the end of the exhibition stood the Tomorrowland 360 Wall: a panoramic overview of everything the brand has grown into. It showed not just the festivals, but the wine, the fashion, the food, the fragrances, the record label, the community projects, and more. It was a gentle invitation to look closer, to see how all these parts are connected, and how they continue to grow.
A WORLD TO DISCOVER
While Tomorrowland’s presence at ADE wasn’t limited to the Expo—the weekend also featured shows like Afterlife Amsterdam and the orchestralelectronic fusion of Our Story—this exhibition offered something different. It reminded everyone that the world of Tomorrowland is layered, evolving, and full of stories waiting to be discovered. And sometimes, all it takes to step inside is the time to slow down and look around.
