This month we talked about the planets, We looked at pictures of planets and even created the planets with their unique textures and colors using paint materials. Once they had dried, we were able to touch the planets! Have you ever touched a planet before? WE HAVE! As the children touched their created planets, we talked about the texture and what it means about the planet's surface. We even placed an ice pack under the coldest planet and a small heat pad under the hottest planet.

Do you smell that? The Hummingbird teachers introduced a slice of fresh-cut orange under our noses for us to smell. Reactions were mixed. Some turned their heads, crinkled their noses, and didn't react at all. Exploring our five senses helps us grow in the world every day.

REVIEW YOUR LOCAL NEST SCHOOL ON GOOGLE!
I love working for The Nest we are like a small family. Our parents and their children bring joy to our center. My Greatgranddaughter also goes here, she has learned so much from the curriculum and now she is learning simple sign language words.
My son has been at The Nest for a little over a year, and all of the teachers and staff have been amazing! The teachers know each kid's personality and preferences and cater to the individual. Even teachers that my son hasn't had yet know him by name and help each other out when all the kids are in the big gym or playground.
