Even on busy days, a small moment of calm can make a big difference. Try one of these quick resets today:
One-Minute Mindful Breathing:
Close your eyes. Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. Repeat.
Step Outside:
Take a 5-minute walk or simply stand in the sun. Fresh air = fresh energy.
Hydrate Check:
Take a sip of water right now. You’re doing your body a favor!
Mood Booster:
Put on a song that makes you smile. Dance break optional, but encouraged.
In a field where your heart is your greatest tool, it’s easy to pour every ounce of energy into the little ones in your care. But remember your well-being matters just as much. You can only give your best when you feel your best. So take a deep breath and give yourself the same kindness and patience you so freely offer to others. You deserve it.

Clifford,
Director at The Nest Schools Winter Garden
I am so happy to share that Tierra Black is a valued staff member here at The Nest. I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing her incredible growth as both an educator and an individual. Tierra has earned the love and respect of so many —students, staff, and parents alike! I truly admire her dedication and hard work in ensuring a high-quality learning experience for each of her students. But Tierra’s impact goes far beyond the classroom. She has taken on the roles of Activity Coordinator and Staff Mentor with enthusiasm and care. She thoughtfully plans events and activities that reflect the interests of both the children and the staff, and she ensures that every mentee feels supported and heard. Tierra, I appreciate you to the fullest, and I’m grateful not only to work alongside you, but also to call you a dear friend. Congratulations, Tierra!!

Cycl e Sets Cycl e Sets
This year starts our use of "cycle sets", carefully curated curriculum bundles that offer a new level of organization and effectiveness for our curriculum and making it easier to get you all your curriculum materials in a timely fashion. Here are some quick things to note:
Month-to-Month Units
We've streamlined the process with a monthly curriculum cycle. This will greatly improve our supply ordering processes for your school AND make it easier for our teachers to plan out HOW to bring curriculum to life in the classroom.
Ready Robins Extensions:
We are thrilled to introduce "Ready Robins Extensions." These are engaging lesson
enhancements that build on the amazing work already happening in our Robin's classrooms. They add an extra layer of learning to challenge and foster continued development across four critical domains:
Math
Language & Literacy Science Social-Emotional Learning
These easy-to-implement additions are LIVE on tablets and in Robin's lesson plans, found right within the activity write-ups.
New Program Alert!
We are proud to launch our newest curriculum program! The Parrots, a 2nd year Pre-K program designed for children who have completed Robins but are not yet eligible for kindergarten.
**This program is only offered at select schools

Throughout the month, we engaged in a variety of activities aligned with this month's Art of Living Theme: I can help keep myself safe. During our community meeting, we played red light and green light to explore safe and unsafe choices. For example, when discussing a stranger offering candy, children knew to show their red light, indicating unsafe choices. We also talked about caring for our emotions through yoga, meditation, hugs, and so on. We also practiced personal responsibilities like cleaning up, hand washing, helping with chores at home, and taking care of personal health. At school, we reinforced important safety rules: walking feet in the hallway, answering during name to face check, and how keeping the shoes on helps during emergencies. To end the week, we explored road safety through pretend play, learning about traffic signs, waiting for pedestrians, and always using seat belts and helmets. It was a fun and meaningful week filled with learning, play, and important life skills.

Helping children understand and practice good hygiene is one of the ways we are modeling “keeping ourselves safe”, even with the youngest of learners! With a little support (and a lot of love), our hummingbirds are learning that handwashing is more than just cleaning up, it’s about building healthy habits and making safety part of our everyday care.
During explorative play, my friends practiced keeping safe in the classroom as they were cleaning with soap and water in imagination station. They were washing dishes, cleaning cabinets, and doing all things needed to ensure our kitchen is clean while talking about what that means.

The most valuable part of this course was in-classroom observations, which helped in finding areas where I can improve as a teacher.
What would you say to someone considering the program?
I would tell them that it was worth it just for the love for educating and helping children grow.
Imani has came in with such a positive attitude and enthusiasm to nurture the children. She has a beautiful spirit and leaves such an impact on not only her students but peers as well. Woman in the registrar's office made a music teacher feel less alone.
Kim Perlak was having a lonely morning on campus when her homemade chili exploded all over her while she walked to class. Later, a woman in the registrar’s office who had noticed the mishap surprised her with a thoughtful lunch and a kind note. A gesture that transformed Perlak’s sense of belonging and inspired her to pay kindness forward.

“I love that every time we see Ms Grace she acknowledges me and my family by our names i don’t know how she remembers everyone lol. The staff is always friendly and pleasant. My son loves coming to school so much he even ask to go on the weekends. Ms Shawna and Ms Sharonda are absolutely amazing! My baby has progressed so much because of their dedication and ethic to our children. I really don’t know what we would do without them! My son is so comfortable with his teachers and I’m glad that he has such a safe space to learn, play and grow. Shawna and Sharonda we thank you so much for all that we do and hope you know how appreciated you are!” -BB
“There is always a smiling face at the door and I feel that my son is well cared for and he has loved his teachers. Every time I walk in it’s very clean and I feel comfortable knowing it’s secure.”

“I have multiple children enrolled at this daycare in different rooms, and I continue to be incredibly impressed with the level of care and attention each child receives. The caretakers are so attentive to the individual needs of the children it’s clear they genuinely care. You can always tell how well a room or school is run by how excited the children are to see their caretakers, and here, the kids run right up to them with smiles and open arms. That kind of positive environment doesn’t happen by accident —it reflects strong leadership and high expectations from the top down. The team has created a warm, wellorganized, and supportive space for both kids and parents. I truly have nothing but good things to say about this school.” -Catie C
