Even on busy days, a small moment of calm can make a big difference. Try one of these quick resets today:
One-Minute Mindful Breathing:
Close your eyes. Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. Repeat.
Step Outside:
Take a 5-minute walk or simply stand in the sun. Fresh air = fresh energy.
Hydrate Check:
Take a sip of water right now. You’re doing your body a favor!
Mood Booster:
Put on a song that makes you smile. Dance break optional, but encouraged.
In a field where your heart is your greatest tool, it’s easy to pour every ounce of energy into the little ones in your care. But remember your well-being matters just as much. You can only give your best when you feel your best. So take a deep breath and give yourself the same kindness and patience you so freely offer to others. You deserve it.

For this challenge we went outside and I read the book " row row row your boat" then I gave the babies this own boats to pretend to row back and forth while we listened to the different versions of the song on our tablet, the babies each got a turn sitting on my lap as I helped them use their arm to row. After we were done rowing I filled up my sensory water bucket so we could play with our boats in the water as we worked on our tummy time and socialized with each other. This was such a fun activity and the babies enjoyed the water so much!!!!

Today, our young chefs took part in a delightful sensory and pretend play experience, making Popsicles with dirt and pinecones. Also, we made a mud soup with sticks, leaves, flour, water, mud, and some leftover food from breakfast to create their own unique soup recipes. With our big imaginations, we created a mud soup and Popsicles store where a cup of pretend soup sold for $5 and Popsicles for $2. Children eagerly stirred their mixtures, shared their creative ideas, and served their soup and Popsicles to their friends and teachers. Beyond this joyful and messy experience, this hands on activity supported key areas of development like Language and vocabulary, scientific observation as they explore textures and mixture, math and measurement while combining ingredients and while counting pretend money, fine motor skills, social emotional growth through imaginative role play.

We had a great time with our own "Ninja Warrior" obstacle course on the playground. Our friends ran through hoops, quickly climbed stairs, slid down the twisty slide, crawled through a tunnel, and ran around cones to reach the finish line. The other children cheered them on as they raced the clock, trying to make their best time yet! Are you a Ninja Warrior? You betcha!

Woman in tears as she opens up on Liverpool star's kindness
Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker recently moved a Nigerian social worker, Patricia Bom, to tears by quietly covering her son's school fees when she faced severe financial hardship. She revealed that despite hiding her own need, he personally intervened calling in the early morning, asking what was needed, and generously paying the fees as an act of faith-driven kindness .

At The Nest Schools, kindness isn’t just a core value, it’s a way of life. Across the Denver metro area, that commitment is taking shape in a powerful way through our KindNEST Charitable Giving Program.
For 2025, each of our five Denver-area schools has selected a local nonprofit organization to support not just with a financial gift, but through hands-on community service, classroom connections, and family involvement. With an initial donation of $2,500 to each organization, plus planned volunteer efforts and educational experiences, our students are learning that even the smallest act of kindness can ripple out and make a real impact.
At The Nest, kindness is more than a core value—it’s our most important lesson to your children. Through KindNEST, we help children understand the importance of community, empathy, and generosity in ways that are developmentally meaningful and deeply rewarding for everyone involved.

From upper management to the teachers and staff, it’s clear how much everyone at The Nest in Strongsville genuinely cares for your child. Trusting others to care for your little one is never easy, but we’ve felt confident since enrolling our daughter at just 3 months old. She’s now a year and a half and thriving—learning, growing, and so happy. I’m incredibly grateful to Haley, Leah, and the entire team for their daily dedication, turning everyday activities into meaningful learning experiences while always prioritizing safety. We couldn’t be happier with the Strongsville team and truly appreciate each and every teacher there.
Very friendly staff and the teachers are so engaging. They genuinely care about the development and needs specific to each child. I look forward to getting updates on the app throughout the day.Thankyou!
