Building Employees To Help Build Your Business A Message From Our CEO, Charles J. Bonfiglio With our 2021 Annual Convention all wrapped up I want to say a big “Thank You” to everyone who attended! I hope you took away some key insights for your business from our presentations and speakers. I also want to Congratulate all of our Winners from this year’s Awards Ceremony! We are looking forward to seeing the successes you take from this event. As you take these lessons back to your stores, I want to talk about a topic that is very important to me and one I feel is not utilized enough in individual stores. It’s the idea that as store owners you have to first build your business from within, by investing in your employees, and then your business will build itself. Over the last few months, I have seen and heard from store owners who are having problems with finding good employees, holding onto reliable employees, or complaining about current employees not fully committed to your store’s success. Attracting and retaining the right talent starts with YOU – the store owner! We are Tint World® - The #1 Automotive Styling Franchise in the World! We should not be having these issues and I believe that not fully investing in their employees is the reason some stores are having these issues. When I was a store owner, I offered a compensation program to ALL my employees. Having their talent and support is what allowed me to grow to 10 locations. If you don’t offer your employees a competitive compensation plan with training programs, paid holidays, healthcare, and 401k benefits, I guarantee you that someone else will. Not having a comprehensive compensation program will slow your business down, and absorb your time by having to actually run your business shorthanded, loose jobs, and spend time and money advertising and interviewing new staff! If more stores were to adopt this type of compensation program, we at Headquarters, could offer a Career Opportunity Training School Program that would allow these new employees to be successfully placed within your store, and start off with offering a competitive compensation program, which will get them to WANT to join and be committed to our team! There have been many Tint World® employees who have done side jobs, tried to start their own competing business, or they look for a new company that may offer a more complete career opportunity. But the ones who were invested in went on to successful careers such as going to another Tint World® store or finding a career opportunity with another company. Taking the time to train and build an employee’s career is what makes them invested in making your store a success! Building a business starts from within and hiring and keeping the right talent is what is going to take your store to the next level!
