The holidays are quickly approaching and soon the Club will be adorned with elegant Christmas decorations from top to bottom. During this time of year, you will find a wealth of programs and special event offerings for the whole family, including our annual Christmas Open House party on Wednesday, December 3. We hope to see all of you there to enjoy an evening of exquisite food, music, dancing and celebrating another memorable year.
We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation for the immeasurable generosity of our kind and caring members for your contributions to our annual Christmas fund. This wonderful Club tradition means a great deal to all of our employees during this time of year, whether they are new to the TCC family or have been serving you for several decades.
Additionally, I also would like to share our gratitude to those who generously contributed last month to the Timuquana Cares Employee Foundation, our 501(c)(3) tax deductible organization, now in its fourth year. As I write this, I am proud to share that the fund has raised $43,510 which brings the total value to $133,571. These funds will be allocated for employee and employee-family academic scholarships, as well as aid to our staff in times of financial hardship. Through the generosity of our members, we have been able to help more than 40 employees since the inception of the Foundation.
In continuing with our holiday tradition, we will take the opportunity at our annual employee appreciation breakfast on November 26 to recognize staff who have reached significant milestones of employment at Timuquana Country Club. Below are the 2025 recipients along with their
years of service. Please be sure to thank them for all of their hard work and dedication over the years!
On behalf of the TCC staff, thank you for your support this Christmas season and throughout the year. We hope you enjoy the many Club offerings available to you this winter.
Respectfully,

Greg Sheara General Manager, CCM

Tom Bishop President
Fellow Members,
On behalf of a grateful and proud Board of Governors, I write to recognize the outstanding efforts of our entire TCC team, led by General Manager Greg Sheara, in handling an extreme medical emergency that took place at the Club several weeks ago during the first day of the FURYK & FRIENDS Tournament.
A PGA Tour volunteer experienced a sudden cardiac arrest episode just outside the cart barn, leaving him unconscious and not breathing. Within a matter of seconds our Director of Outside Golf Operations Chris Jaster alerted the team over the radio of the medical emergency and made the 911 call. TCC’s management team immediately rushed to the individual to assess his condition. Upon confirming he was not breathing, Chris quickly applied the AED pads and Greg began performing CPR. With guidance from the AED machine, Greg and Chris applied multiple electric shocks, and Greg continued chest compressions for nearly 10 minutes while awaiting paramedics.
Once EMS arrived on scene, the paramedics confirmed the individual was breathing and attributed his resuscitation to the efforts of the TCC team, stating that had the team not acted so quickly, the outcome would have been very different. While Greg and Chris were the lead responders, it’s important to note they were supported and assisted by TCC’s directors and managers from all departments who provided
encouragement and assistance and guided paramedics to the scene. I am confident that any one of these individuals would have stepped in and done the same thing if necessary. The response of the entire TCC team was heroic, remarkable, and lifesaving.
We are happy to say that the volunteer was rushed to the hospital where his intake nurse was actually the wife of one of our Outside Operations employees, Darby. The patient underwent openheart surgery and is now successfully recovering.
As President of the Board, I must express sincere appreciation and admiration for our management team for their response and actions in a time of crisis. I note that TCC’s management team undergoes safety and crisis training each year to prepare for events like this. It gives us great comfort to know that they are equipped to handle any similar emergency.
Please join me in thanking and congratulating our team for their heroic efforts!

T.E. Bishop

We know many of you have family, friends and neighbors who ask you often about the process of becoming a member at TCC. We are thrilled that interest in the Club is so high as that is a true testament to the quality of service and offerings we have here at TCC. However, that does mean we have a steady wait list with the overall membership capped at 1,100. Currently, our wait list for most new applicants may range from 10-12 months or more. This wait time may fluctuate some based on several factors including variable monthly attrition and applicant prioritization as noted below.
Many current and prospective members have asked if there is a separate wait list for each category. There is only one wait list, and all categories of membership are subject to this list. The only difference is that some categories are prioritized per our Bylaws. The Bylaws dictate prioritization as follows: (1) a former member seeking a reinstatement; (2) legacy Founder candidates; and (3) other Founding candidates, followed by all other categories of membership. This means that these three groups of applicants will receive some priority on the wait list. Please be aware that this prioritization can cause movement of other applicants currently on the wait list, which may extend wait times in some cases.

Kate Nolte Director of Membership and Employee Engagement
Fully approved applicants or their sponsors are always welcome to contact the membership office for an update on their estimated wait time. These wait times are only an estimate and cannot be guaranteed. Due to movement on the list, exact order number or placement on the list is held in confidence.
With that said, we still want you to share your love of the Club and encourage these individuals to submit their applications as we strive to invite new members. If you have questions about the membership process, need assistance with your membership, or would like to sponsor a new member, please feel free to contact me at any time.
As of December 1, the Club’s 2010 assessment for the construction of the ballrooms and banquet kitchen will have been paid off and the Club will be debt free. At this time, as was communicated during the annual meeting last year, the assessment value that roughly three-fourths of our membership has been paying monthly will be reallocated to capital and/or operating dues moving forward. Those who have been paying the assessment will see no changes in their monthly bill except for a minor increase in sales tax associated with operating dues. For those who have previously paid off the assessment, you will see an increase in your monthly bill by the same value of the monthly assessment (i.e. $76 for Founder, $53 for House Social, etc). If you have any questions, please contact Barbara Pacella, CFO, bpacella@timuquana.net

Earlier this month we wrapped up another incredible week for our final Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS PGA TOUR Champions Tournament. It’s certainly bittersweet to see this tournament end at TCC, but above all, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for this tournament, for the memories we’ve created, and for the impact it has had on our Club, and our Jacksonville community. Now we are ready to finish the year strong with lots of great weather and even better rounds of golf.
Please remember that Daylight Savings time begins Sunday, November 2, which means the Golf Shop will close an hour earlier. Beginning Sunday, the hours will change to 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
In just two weeks we will be hosting the Men’s Member-Member tournament on November 13-15. Please note, the golf course will be closed to noncompetitors on November 13 & 14, and the first tee will open at 1:45 p.m. for member play on November 15. We can’t wait to see you all out there for another memorable tournament.
As always, we have a lot to look forward to as we look ahead to December. We want to remind you to join us for our annual Open House Party on Wednesday, December 3. The Golf Shop will be doing our annual Pop the Balloon Golf Shop Christmas sale on this day from 2–7 p.m. All items in the Golf Shop will be discounted, so make sure you come by to check out all the deals. Plus, the sales will continue with our 12 Days of Christmas sale beginning December 3. Check out the calendar on page 18 to see what is on sale each day.

Don’t forget, all Golf Shop credit will expire after December 31. Be sure to take advantage of the upcoming Christmas sales for great savings when using your credit.
We look forward to a joyous holiday season at the Club. Please let the Professional Staff know how we can help with your Christmas gift purchases.
