Howl at the Moon with a Wild Thing Tune! WESTFIELD — Tom Sieling, widely acclaimed singer and guitar, banjo, and drum machine player from Newfield, New York, will perform a free family/children’s program called “Howl at the Moon with a Wild Thing Tune!” at The Huntington Public Library at 2 pm on July 20. This show is a top-ten lineup of the world’s most fun, humorous and participatory kids’ songs, along with lots of reading and library use encouragement. It includes slides and cool facts about area animals and, in keeping with the “A Universe of Stories” Summer Reading theme … space! 5K Farm Run Event WESTFIELD —This year’s 5K Farm Run is committed to support our nation’s wounded warriors through Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) and the nonprofit’s

free programs and services. Many wounded veterans face significant challenges when they return to civilian life, and through the generous support of donors and corporate partners, WWP is able to provide support during their recovery, wherever they are in that process. Through this 5K Farm Run, events with a. starr, and supporters, are ensuring the mental health care wounded veterans rely on remains available to them free of charge, for a lifetime. Through mental health care programs like the WWP Warrior Care Network™, wounded veterans can get treatment for the invisible wounds of war like post-traumatic stress disorder. Learn how to draw in the Manga and Anime style with local artist Shauna Leva! The Manga Workshop will cover how to draw a Manga or Anime face and body using professional techniques. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Westfield Cultural

Children can make their own soap at our Astronauts and Aliens Soap Making event. Each child will make their own glycerin based soap and can glitter, color, and more to create their own design! WESTFIELD — Stanley Park’s Friday Mornings for Children presents The Toe Jam Puppet Band on July 26. Formed in 2000, the Toe Jam Puppet Band offers a special brand of hands-on children’s entertainment that grownups can actually enjoy. The Dynamic group is great with kids, but best when teachers or parents are having fun with the little ones. The performances are very active, encouraging kids and parents to sing and dance along with the band as they entertain with a unique combination of original songs, puppetry, storytelling and just plain old good fun. For kids of all ages! Friday Mornings for Children are held in the Beveridge Pavilion Annex from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, weather permitting, and are free of charge. WESTFIELD — Sacred Heart Parish, 1061 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills hosted the Baystate Health Blood Drive this past April and we were able to save 30 adults or up to 50 more babies lives, which brings us to over 535 adults or up to 825 babies lives saved since we began July of 2016. One donation saves 3 adults or up to 5 infants, the gift of life is so very precious. Our next Blood Donation Drive will be Saturday, July 27 from 10 – 3pm. If we can fill the schedule which is 30 appointments we would save between 90 and 150 lives, how awesome would that be! I can easily save a block of time if you would like to get a group together and have a Blood Donation Party and make a day of it; share a meal together first then come to donate! If you have never given before, I would be happy to come and stay with you while you donate. Each donation receives a thank you of a free Big E ticket and remember that the donations made through Baystate Health stays in Western Massachusetts!
