為紗廠齊集街頭文化品牌 專訪 AVENUE 主理人
Avenue意思為「大道」,是許多世界知名地標的一部 分,如法國巴黎香榭麗舍大道(Avenue des ChampsElysees)、美國紐約第五大道(Fifth Avenue)等。
今年初,南豐紗廠亦帶來了AVENUE,一間聚集多國街頭 文化品牌的選物店,包括海外品牌以至香港品牌,為各類時 尚人士帶來新潮風格。現在就由AVENUE其中兩位主理人 Kiwi及LaPhonso分享在香港推廣街頭文化的理念。
問:可以介紹一下AVENUE在香港的演變及發展嗎? K:AVENUE成立於2020年,我們的母公司CLOSET專門代 理品牌,如BEN DAVIS的日本線、美國品牌DRIFTER、加州 FAIRFAX等我們主要向I.T.、CATALOG和DOUBLE PARK 等本地零售店提供批發訂單。
L:在疫情期間,很多店舖因隔離或臨時關閉而無法購入我 們的季度系列商品。因此我們決定開零售店,繼續在疫情期 間宣傳各大代理品牌。我們就在葵芳開設了第一間AVENUE 店,並從那裡逐步擴展。
問:AVENUE有甚麼意思? K:AVENUE的LOGO下面有一行細字,列出了三個地點, 分別是HONG KONG、TOKYO及LOS ANGELES。我是香 港代表,LaPhonso在美國讀書,我們另有一位合作夥伴在日 本。這三個地區的街頭時尚文化非常突出,這也是我們主要 售賣這些地區的品牌的原因。

An Interview with the Directors of AVENUE
The term "Avenue" means "a broad road", which is part of many prominent landmarks around the world – such as Avenue des Champs-Elysees in Paris or Fifth Avenue in New York City. Earlier this year, The Mills welcomed AVENUE, a concept store that brings together local and foreign streetwear brands for fashion-forward individuals of all stripes. We had the honor of interviewing Kiwi and LaPhonso, the directors of AVENUE, to learn more about their vision for promoting street culture in Hong Kong.
K: Kiwi L: LaPhonso
Q: Could you please introduce AVENUE's evolution and development in Hong Kong?
K: AVENUE was founded in 2020. Our parent company, CLOSET, specialises in distributing branded products, such as the Japanese line BEN DAVIS, the American brand DRIFTER, and the California-based FAIRFAX. We primarily supply wholesale orders to local retail stores like I.T., CATALOG and DOUBLE PARK.
L: During the pandemic, many stores were unable to purchase our seasonal collections due to quarantine or temporary closures. In order to continue promoting the brands under our distribution during COVID-19, we made the decision to open our own retail stores. We opened our first AVENUE store in Kwai Fong and have gradually expanded from there.
Q: What is the significance of the name "AVENUE"?
K: Below the AVENUE logo, there is a small line of text listing three locations – HONG KONG, TOKYO and LOS ANGELES. I represent Hong Kong; LaPhonso studied in the United States; and our other partner is based in Japan. The street fashion culture in these three locations is particularly vibrant, which is why we primarily sell branded products from these areas.
FAIRFAX is a prominent brand from California that our company values highly. In our first year of operation, we named our store "FAIRFAX AVENUE" after the iconic street in Los Angeles

我們公司看重的其中一個品牌FAIRFAX來自加州,在我們開業的第一年, 我們將店名稱為「FAIRFAX AVENUE」,源自洛杉磯的一條「潮街」,這 條標誌性的街道正是荷里活名人及NBA球星經常購物的地方。我們採用這 條街的名字,意味我們將那條「潮街」融入我們的店鋪。在這裡,我們不 斷為顧客挑選時尚潮流品牌和風格。
問:為何主打街頭文化及潮牌?
L:愛穿街頭品牌的人,很多都是從原來缺乏信心逐漸轉變成自信的 。穿 Causal wear的人在人群中可能顯得平凡無奇,上街時可能與很多人穿得一 模一樣,但穿Urban fashion的人則較為獨特,可能熱衷或從事打碟 (DJ) 、 跳舞、踩板等活動。了解街頭文化可以增加個人的自信,就像一個人開始 去健身房增肌,身體的變化往往伴隨著自信心和個人風采的明顯轉變。
K:我小時候已很喜歡街頭文化及踩滑板,但當時給人感覺好像很壞,家 人不太喜歡,但現在不同了,近兩屆奧運已納入了滑板項目,今年亦新增 Breaking(霹靂舞)。街頭運動因為奧運而盛行,亦被認可為健康運動, 令更多人接觸這項文化。我希望借這間店舖推動街頭文化的正面訊息,因 為它的精神是自強,不需要有人幫忙,無論身處有多貧窮或艱難的環境, 正如黑人如何從美國最貧窮的一群,發奮及勤力地成為全球最流行的潮 流,這個精神及正面文化非常重要。
問:為何當初有意在南豐紗廠設店?
K:我們聚焦本地客戶,目標是讓更多香港人變得更有型更漂亮,就像人們 欽佩日本的品味,是因為他們喜歡打扮。我們選址南豐紗廠,主要有兩大 原因:第一,荃灣區在全港富庶地區中排名第四;第二,荃灣區很大,今 年初新增的南豐紗廠店舖目標客戶是新界西居民及外區駕車來這裡放狗的 人。相比我們其他店舖,南豐紗廠地方較大,格局獨特,宛如置身外國, 更可攜帶狗狗一同購物,在香港難得有此類型的空間。
L:紗廠這裡的氣氛很像紐約,加上周末經常舉辦各種市集和活動,因此吸 引了許多人前來參觀。再加上寵物友善的特色,給人一種外國的感覺。
問:未來AVENUE有何目標及新動向? K:下半年我們會在旺角、觀塘及啟德分別再開3家店,隨著奧運在暑假期 間的開幕,我們正構思與客人增加更多的運動元素互動,而夏天也是做運 動的熱門時節,因此我們會為客人送上洗頭水禮品和近日很受歡迎的不鏽
known for its trendsetting fashion scene where Hollywood celebrities and NBA stars often shop. By incorporating the name of this renowned street, we aimed to infuse its fashion-forward culture within our retail space, where we consistently curate a selection of stylish and fashionable brands for our customers.
Q: Why focus on street culture and chic brands?
L: Those who are fond of streetwear brands often evolve from originally lacking confidence to becoming self-assured. People who wear casual clothing may appear ordinary in a crowd and sometimes blend in seamlessly, while those who embrace urban fashion are more unique – they might have a penchant for or be engaged in DJing, dancing, skateboarding and other unconventional activities. Understanding street culture can enhance personal confidence, much like a person beginning to frequent the gym for muscle-building; the transformation in physique often aligns with a noticeable shift in self-assurance and personal demeanor.
K: I have always been fond of street culture and skateboarding since childhood. However, back then, it was deemed as bad and my family was not supportive of it. Thankfully, times have changed, and skateboarding was recently included in the last two Olympic Games – with Breaking being added as an official event this year. Street sports have gained mainstream recognition through the Olympics, and they are now seen as legitimate and healthy sports that allow people to connect with our culture. My goal is to promote the positive message of street culture at AVENUE. As its core lies the spirit of self-reliance and empowerment – the idea that you do not need anyone's help to forge your own path, regardless of your financial background and circumstances. It is essential to have this kind of spirit and positive culture, just like how the black community in the United States, once among the most underprivileged, have spearheaded the world's most significant trends with their determination and hard work.
Q: What was the reason behind your intention to set up shop at The Mills?
K: We focus on local customers with the goal of helping more people in Hong Kong become more stylish, similar to how people admire Japan's taste because of their love for dessing up. The choice of setting up at The Mills was driven by two main reasons: first, Tsuen Wan ranks fourth among the wealthiest areas in Hong Kong; second, Tsuen Wan is a large district. When we recently opened our store at The Mills we aimed to attract residents of New Territories West and visitors from other areas who drive here to walk with their dogs. In comparison to our other stores, The Mills offers a larger space with a unique layout, giving off international vibe, and allowing customers to shop with their dogs, something quite rare in Hong Kong.
L: The ambiance at The Mills resembles that of New York. The frequent weekend markets and activities have attracted many visitors. The pet-friendly feature enhances the international atmosphere of the place.

Q: Are there any future goals or plans for AVENUE moving forward?
K: In the second half of the year, we will be opening three new stores in Mong Kok, Kwun Tong and Kai Tak. With the upcoming opening of Olympics during the summer holidays, we are brainstorming ways to enhance interaction with our customers through sports-related elements. As summer is a popular time for physical activity, we plan to gift customers with shampoo and the current trendy stainless steel fast food utensils.
L: Aiming to provide our customers with an even richer shopping experience, we recently launched the "Head-to-Toe" makeover campaign. Additionally, we are eager to utilize the space available at The Mills location. We have previously allocated a portion of space for small pop-up events, such as our Mother's Day flower giveaway and the Father's Day barbershop. Looking ahead, we also plan to introduce tattoo services at our store .

Connecting the Joy of Design Across the Globe
從前,日本東京原宿有間「文化屋 雑 貨店」,可說 是全球型人朝聖之地,曾經開拓不少潮流;十五年 前來到香港,擴展全球首間海外分店,多年來曾在 深水埗、旺角、尖沙咀、銅鑼灣等地開店,去年起 「文化屋」更延伸到南豐紗廠,連結香港及世界各 地包括東京的每個有趣角落,一同發掘文化多元的 設計樂趣。
Bunkaya Zakkaten, an iconic store in Harajuku, Tokyo, was the birthplace of countless trends and a famous hub for fashionistas all over the world. It opened its first overseas branch store in Hong Kong 15 years ago, followed by other outlets in Sham Shui Po, Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay. Last year, Bunkaya Zakkaten opened a shop at The Mills, connecting the brand’s intriguing locations around the world, including its stores in Hong Kong and Tokyo, to explore the joy of culturally diverse designs.
Rex是文化屋(香港)的負責人,千禧年後在日本修讀時裝設計,畢 業後在富士山的一間旅館打工,一邊體驗日本生活一邊設計,直到有 一天到原宿買東西,改變了他的一生。「當年所有旅遊書都有介紹文 化屋原宿店,我亦經常入去逛逛,對創作人帶來很多靈感。直到那天 再去,與店員交談後,他帶我到後面工場,又認識了社長先生(長谷 川義太郎),一聊就聊了四個多小時。」
得知Rex來自香港,社長提及自己與香港有很大淵緣。「70年代,他 開店售賣自己家族農場的物件,又會向美國入貨買賣自己喜愛的東 西,有次他發現原來大多東西都是香港製造,便決定飛到香港看看, 從此大開眼界。」社長看過Rex設計的時裝作品後,再三邀請他加入 文化屋,當時23歲的Rex決定是時候作另一嘗試。
直至2009年,Rex已在文化屋工作了3年,有一日回港探家人。「當 時正值金融海嘯,氣氛就像現在香港,街上有很多吉舖,加上當時古 著店舖不多,尚未流行手作文化及市集,我想如果香港有一間文化屋 都不錯,回到日本後便跟社長提起,他亦認同我在香港開店。」多年 來,Rex特別喜歡到人流不多甚至別人看來污煙漳氣的地方開店,他 卻認為這樣才有香港特色。文化屋(香港)從油麻地咸美頓街起家,
到後來開過銅鑼灣店、尖沙咀、旺角、深水埗等店舖等,秉承「人 賣我唔賣」的宗旨,希望客人來到文化屋就像尋寶一樣。「我深深記 著社長提及的設計三件事:不准抄襲、不准只為客人設計,以及要喜 歡自己作品。」社長又堅持,所有設計師都要化身店員輪流在店舖工 作,親身面對客人的提問,聽取對方意見,才能更明白創作者以外的 觀點。
今年文化屋口號是「東京.五十.香港」,分別慶祝日本品牌及香港 店的成立年期。現時文化屋在旺角、深水埗及銅鑼灣均有分店,去年 7月獲邀到南豐紗廠開店,他留意到很多時候紗廠遊人都與寵物一起 Shopping。「我身邊很多朋友都到了外國生活,但養寵物的人未必 會離開香港。這裡可以讓人輕鬆一下,不像其他大商場那樣逼人。香 港整體環境經濟差,但人們還是要生活及休息。」
與其他店主不同,很多老闆擔心開舖沒錢賺,寧願不開店,但Rex卻 有另一番想法。「開店未必賺大錢,但既然夠錢交租,又能夠請到多 一兩個員工,給年輕人一個機會,好像我們這裡有位20歲擅長跳舞的 員工,希望能夠延續社長一開始成立文化屋的想法,讓年輕人不用只 做連鎖店的工作,他們能夠糊口之餘又能夠追夢,何樂而不為?」



Rex, the manager of Bunkaya Zakkaten (Hong Kong), studied fashion design in Japan after 2000. Following his graduation, he worked at an inn on Mount Fuji to immerse himself in Japanese culture while continuing to hone his design skills. While shopping in Harajuku one day, Rex had an unexpected encounter that changed the trajectory of his life.“Back then, Bunkaya Zakkaten’s Harajuku store was featured in all the travel guides. I, too, frequented the store to find inspiration for my designs. That day, after striking up a conversation with a staff member, I was invited to the store’s workshop area and met Yoshitarou Hasegawa, the Founder of Bunkaya Zakkaten. We ended up talking for over four hours.”
Learning that Rex was from Hong Kong, Mr Hasegawa shared his longstanding connections to the city.“In the 1970s, he owned a store that sold items from his family’s farm as well as imported goods from the US. He later realised that the majority of his inventory was manufactured in Hong Kong, and hence decided to visit the city, and was blown away by the wealth of craftsmanship there.”Upon reviewing Rex’s fashion designs, Mr Hasegawa repeatedly invited the 23-year-old to join the Bunkaya Zakkaten team. Rex felt the timing was right to embark on this new professional venture.

By 2009, after working at Bunkaya Zakkaten for three years, Rex made a trip to visit his family in Hong Kong.“It was in the midst of the global financial crisis,”he recalls. “Many vacant shop spaces were dotting the streets – the atmosphere was very much like Hong Kong now. Vintage stores, markets and DIY culture were not as prevalent then, and I thought it would be wonderful if we could bring Bunkaya Zakkaten to Hong Kong. When I returned to Japan, I pitched the idea to Mr Hasegawa, who supported the prospect of opening a branch store in Hong Kong.”Over the years, Rex has gravitated towards extending the retail network in areas with relatively low foot traffic, or where others might perceive as dingy and run-down – he believes it is what gives the stores

in Hong Kong character. Bunkaya Zakkaten (Hong Kong) started on Hamilton Street in Yau Ma Tei, before expanding to various areas such as Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok and Sham Shui Po. By not selling products that can be found elsewhere, Bunkaya Zakkaten (Hong Kong) aims to offer customers a treasure hunt experience.
“The founder’s three design rules have always stuck with me,”Rex explains.“First, our work must be wholly original. Second, the designs should not cater solely to customers. Third, we must genuinely like our own work.”Mr Hasegawa also insists that all designers must take turns to work at the shops to answer customers’questions and listen to their feedback. Only then can designers gain perspectives beyond a creator’s mind.
Celebrating the anniversaries of the Japanese brand and the Hong Kong stores, Bunkaya Zakkaten’s slogan for this year is“Tokyo.50.Hong Kong”. On top of its branch stores in Mong Kok, Sham Shui Po and Causeway Bay, the brand opened an outlet at The Mills last July. Rex notices that many visitors like to shop with their pets at The Mills.“Though many of my friends have gone to live abroad, those who keep pets would not consider leaving Hong Kong. The Mills is a relaxing space, unlike other large shopping malls that are sometimes too bustling. Despite Hong Kong’s less ideal economic situation for the time being, people still need to live and rest.”
A lot of shop owners are hesitant to open new stores, worrying that they will not be able to turn a profit. Rex, however, has a different perspective.“Opening a shop does not necessarily make a lot of money. As long as we can afford the rent and hire a couple more staff members, why not give young people a chance? One of my employees is a 20-year-old dancer whose ambition is to pass on the founder’s original vision for Bunkaya Zakkaten – to give young people opportunities beyond just working in chain stores. Here, they can make a living while pursuing their dreams.”

“Our products have their own seasonal themes as we want to make things that we personally like. We recently released a cha chaan teng-themed shirt for fun, which later became popular among tourists, DJs and musicians un expectedly. We were even asked to embroider their names on the shirts. Nowadays, it is quite difficult to define Hong Kong culture. This city has always been a melting pot of diverse cultures, but it seems like diversity has been diminish ing.”

「我在香港開店的十幾年間,大家都是以實際為主,比較捨得買袋或鞋。疫情幾年曾 經流行買雜貨,估計是買回去放在家中招呼朋友,但現在又不流行了,等於前幾年很 流行露營用品,現在不見得很多人買。又或是招財貓,有段時間很好賣,很多人開舖 裝飾一下,當然現在也沒有了。」
“I have been running the shops in Hong Kong for more than a decade. According to my observation, people have been quite practical and are more likely to splurge on bags or shoes. Household items became popular during the pandemic – I imagine people were stocking up on them for entertaining friends at home. This trend has now died down. Similarly, camping gear was all the rage a few years ago but not so much anymore. Lucky cat figurines sold wel l for a while, with lots of new shop owners using them for decoration. Yet, that craze has passed now.”

《玩轉腦朋友》系列在全球票房高收,今個暑假南豐紗廠也有 腦筋急轉彎的一連串活動,齊來認識大家腦入面的情緒好朋 友。今年6月底,南豐紗廠夥拍香港首個專為思覺失調患者及 其家屬提供服務的註冊慈善機構思覺基金,舉辦「情緒日記」 博覽會+路演,與大眾從鏡中觀照情緒,學習滋養心靈。

While the "Inside Out" film series has achieved a great success at the global box office, The Mills also hosted a series of engaging and thought-provoking activities this summer, inviting everyone to get to know their emotional friends within. In late June this year, The Mills collaborated with Early Psychosis Foundation (EPISO), the first registered charitable organisation in Hong Kong dedicated to serving individuals with early psychosis and their families. Together, they presented the "OOOMYEMO" Expo + Roadshow, encouraging the public to reflect on their emotions through the mirror and learn how to nurture their inner well-being.

Celebrity guest Natalie Tong, Alex Lam, and radio host Ken Yuen joined to support the event of The Mills collaborated with EPISO to host the "OOOMYEMO" Expo + Roadshow.

南豐紗廠一直致力把藝術和文化與社區融合,同時關注市民的身心健康,希望藉 著不同活動令大家從日常生活中關懷自己的精神健康。今次與思覺基金合作,目 的是通過生動有趣的互動展覽,鼓勵市民及學生積極表達情緒,關注自身及身邊 人的精神健康,建立更充實的人生。

今次「情緒日記」博覽會+路演,由思覺基金公眾意識委員會副主席、著名導演 及主持谷德昭全力策劃,在南豐紗廠一樓中庭設置多個互動的鏡面裝置,身處富 有趣味的情緒空間下,鼓勵大家藉著鏡子,觀照自己內心的真實感受。鏡子附有 可愛生動的情緒濾鏡,象徵愛、希望、妒忌、恐懼、滿足、勇氣及內疚等感受, 引導參觀者學習洞悉、了解、抒發情緒,並記錄心情,從而更認識自己,能在有 需要時調整內在感受,活出正面積極人生。展區內亦提供多個處理情緒的小貼 士,幫助大家建立調適心理的習慣,學懂鍛煉情緒管理,以寫日記的方式關懷自
The Mills has continuously strived to integrate art, culture, and community while also prioritizing the physical and mental well-being of the public. Through a diverse range of activities, we encourage everyone to take a moment to focus on their mental health amidst their everyday lives. In our collaboration with EPISO, our goal was to inspire the public and students to express their emotions through engaging and interactive exhibitions, fostering a deeper awareness of our own mental health and the well-being of those around us, ultimately leading to more enriching lives.
"OOOMYEMO", a collaboration between EPISO and Meta, brought together experts from various fields in Hong Kong, including psychiatry professors, clinical psychologists, frontline healthcare workers, mental health specialists, multimedia creators, celebrities, musicians, KOLs, athletes, and caregivers. The initiative aimed to prioritize students' emotional education by providing fun and interactive activities, with the goal of reducing depression, anxiety, and stress.
The "OOOMYEMO" Expo + Roadshow was meticulously curated by Vincent Kok, renowned director, a renowned director, host, and Vice-Chairperson of the Public Awareness and Education Fund committee of EPISO. Held at the M4 Atrium of The Mills, the event featured multiple interactive mirror installations that created engaging emotional spaces, prompting visitors to reflect on their true feelings. Each mirror was equipped with charming and lively emotional filters symbolizing a range of emotions including love, hope, jealousy, fear, contentment, courage, and guilt. These installations guided vis itors to learn how to perceive, understand, and express their emotions while also capturing their moods. Through this introspective journey, visitors could deepen their self-awareness, adjust their inner feelings when necessary, and embrace a more positive and proactive life. Moreover, the exhibition area provided various tips on emotional management to help individuals cultivate habits of self-care and mental well-being through diary writing.

路演期間,思覺基金亦舉辦一系列有益身心的體驗活動,鼓勵大眾利用短暫的放鬆時間,紓解日常生活壓力,重新充電!活動包括:

EPISO hosted four Fitmind yoga classes. Medical research has confirmed that yoga has a positive impact on mental health.During the 60-minute yoga session, participants experienced the connection between body and mind, enabling them to find balance between tranquility and physical well-being, reducing stress and promoting the release of happy hormones. In the following 30-minute "OOOMYEMO" sharing session, they learned strategies to support their mental well-being.

活動期間,基金會亦舉辦共8場的Circle painting工作坊,是一項多人合作活動,過程 中大家一起跟導師指示按步驟利用線、點、圓圈畫出圖案,更可在別人畫作中的圖案 及線條上再加以創作,最後同心合力繪畫出一幅創意作品。圓圈繪畫是學習欣賞別人 和自己的藝術治療,創作過程沒有規範,輕鬆思考,達致減壓和放鬆的效果。
During the event, EPISO hosted eight Circle painting workshops, promoting collaborative artwork. Participants followed the instructors' step-by-step guidance to create patterns using lines, dots, and circles. They could also build upon one another's designs and lines to create a collective masterpiece. Circle painting is a form of art therapy that encourages self- and other-appreciation. The nonrestrictive creative process encourages easy reflection, thus reducing stress and promoting relaxation.

The Mills collaborated with EPISO to host the "OOOMYEMO" Expo + Roadshow, which kicked off with a star-studded opening ceremony. The event featured celebrity guests Natalie Tong, Alex Lam, and radio host Ken Yuen who shared their personal emotional index scores (on a scale of 1 to 10) and discussed their stress relief techniques. They also engaged in interactive activities with students from Pooi To Middle School, including group breathing exercises, exchanging "OOOMYEMO" stickers, and having fun with Instagram story filters to capture memorable photos together!

如果我要工作的時候,情緒指數長期高達10,甚至爆錶去到11,應該要向時刻看來沒壓力的林德信請教。不 過,隨著年紀漸長,我學會了『I don’t care』,學懂了非常有用,明白到世上很多東西好像都與自己有關,但實 際上9成事情都與自己無關,確實不用太理會別人感受。我的減壓方法,通常都是看電影,另外與小孩子玩耍也 很快樂,保持簡單的心是最開心的。
Similar to physical exercise, emotional management also requires practice and training. For the past decade, EPISO has been dedicated to increasing public awareness of mental health and promoting emotional education, especially for teenagers, through frontline advocacy efforts and engaging educational activities. As emotional education is not a formal subject in Hong Kong schools, it is vital to promote practical emotional management skills. Thank you for your ongoi ng support.
When I used to experience a prolonged emotional index score of 10, and sometimes even off the charts at 11, I should have sought advice from someone like Alex who always appears unruffled. However, with age comes wisdom, and I have learned to adopt the useful mindset of 'I don't care'. While many things in the world may seem to concern me, in reality, about 90% of them have no impact on me. Truly, it's unnecessary to overly concern myself with others' feelings. For stress relief, I often find solace in watching movies and delight in spending time with children. Maintaining a simple mindset seems to be the key to genuine happiness.

My emotional index score usually stays between 0 and 4, and I make an effort to regain control if it goes beyond 4. We are often glued to our phones, exposing ourselves to excessive blue light. It's time to take a break and seek out natural sunlight, which can be beneficial for both our eyes and our emotional well-being. If my score ever reaches 9 or 10, I seek someone to confide in for a deep and meaningful conversation. It's important to express yourself when you're not feeling emotionally well on a regular day.

EPISO, in collaboration with Meta, has launched an Instagram account called @ooomyemo, featuring characters that personify different emotions. This project's primary aim is to enhance public awareness of the emotions we all experience. To achieve this goal, EPISO has brought together a multidisciplinary team of experts in Hong Kong, including psychiatry professors, clinical psychologists, frontline healthcare workers, mental health specialists, multimedia creators, celebrities, musicians, KOLs, athletes and caregivers. Together, they work to prioritise emotional education for students, and develop fun activities to alleviate their depression, anxiety and stress. Ultimately, "OOOMYEMO" seeks to foster greater public awareness around mental health challenges.

施展神奇甜蜜幸福魔法
今個炎炎夏日,也是「甜甜」夏日。闊別半年,南豐紗廠甜品 祭盛大回歸,剛過去6月紗廠變身成為朱古力工廠,邀請了12 間本地社區的甜品小店舉行「朱古力甜品祭」,一眾本地才華 橫溢的朱古力甜品師將盡情施展朱古力魔法,以精湛的手藝創 造屬於香港的可可盛宴,讓市民大眾沉浸於滿滿的甜蜜幸福 感。
自19世紀開始,朱古力的受歡迎程度有增無減,俘虜不少大人小 朋友,相信這是和吃朱古力可以令心情變好、甚至會有戀愛的感 覺有關。朱古力中的色氨酸(tryptophan)有助刺激大腦製造安多 酚(endorphins)及血清素(serotonin)等「快樂荷爾蒙」,而 朱古力所含的可可鹼更會令人興奮及心跳加速!
說到朱古力,人們通常會聯想到外國的大品牌;但香港其實有許 多技藝精湛的朱古力甜品師在默默耕耘,不斷尋找屬於本地的獨 特口味。紗廠多年來致力推動本地原創,希望藉甜品祭大力推動 本地甜品文化,讓更多朋友認識一眾優秀的本地甜品好匠,品嚐 他們原創的香港味道。

Our hot summer is also a 'sweet' summer. After a six-month hiatus, The Mills transformed into a chocolate factory and invited 12 local dessert shops rooted in the community to host the "Chocolate Dessert Carnival in June." Talented local chocolate pastry chefs showcased their chocolate magic and created a cocoa feast with their exquisite craftsmanship, allowing the public to indulge in a sweet and blissful experience.
Since its popularisation in the 19th century, chocolate has only continued to grow in popularity, captivating adults and children alike. It is believed that the appeal of chocolate lies in its ability to improve mood and even create a "feeling of love." The tryptophan in chocolate helps stimulate the brain to produce "happy hormones" such as endorphins and serotonin, while the cocoa alkaloids in chocolate induce excitement and increase heart rate.
When it comes to chocolate, foreign big brands often come to mind first. However, Hong Kong is also home to many skilled pastry chefs committed to incorporating unique local flavors into their creations. The Mills has always been committed to promoting local businesses and advocating for creativity and originality. Through the Dessert Carnival, The Mills hopes to provide local dessert artisans a platform for more exposure, shed light on innovative Hong Kong flavors, and strengthen the local dessert culture.
The exciting lineup of 12 dessert shops for the "Chocolate Dessert Carnival" include Pan Daily Bakery, Frenchie Patisserie, Frolicbake, Emeow Cake Shop, TA-DA! CLUB, Beelieve Bakery, &SCONE, C Bakery, as well as returning favorites from last year's dessert carnival, mochitorihk, The White Cake, and Dough Re Mi. They presented delectable chocolate desserts, including new flavors specially developed for the Carnival, and are ready to immerse everyone in the blissful magic of chocolate.

甜品祭當日,除了品嚐誘人的甜品外,參觀者亦了解到朱古力與環 境之間的關係,以及如何利用科技解決環境問題。近年開始投資農 業食品科技的「南豐作坊」,在本次甜品祭上聯同他們旗下投資的 公司Nukoko,向大家展示一項利用貨源充足,價格低廉的蠶豆作為 原材料而不含可可成份的製造技術。促成這項科技的因素正是日漸 嚴重的氣候變化:其對可可豆種植環境的嚴重威脅,令可可價格在 短短一年內達到45年來的新高。
今次朱古力愛好者們到訪南豐作坊的攤位後,了解Nukoko重新打造 朱古力口味的技術和成果,以及氣候變化對糧食系統的影響。
In addition to indulging in delectable desserts, participants also had the opportunity to learn about the relationship between chocolate and the environment, as well as how technology can be used to address corresponding issues. The Mills Fabrica, The Mills' innovation arm, has been investing in agrifood technologies in recent years. Riding on the chocolate carnival, The Mills Fabrica collaborated with Nukoko, one of their portfolio companies, and showcased a groundbreaking technology for cocoa-free chocolates. The need for this technology stems from the threats climate change poses on cocoa bean cultivation, which resulted in cocoa prices rising to a 45-year high within a single year.
At the popular Dessert Carnival at The Mills, chocolate lovers learned how Nukoko is developing cocoa-free chocolates using fava beans, an abundant and cost-effective raw material, to recreate the delectable flavor of chocolate. This showcase aimed to raise awareness about climate change and its impact on our food system.

Good Date Village: In Time Of Weaving Festival
2024年,我們需要「修復」一下。南豐集團「世界 之約」致力推動可持續生活方式及文化發展,與大 眾一同學習,連結社群探索環境保護、社區共融、 身心健康等重要議題,「修復」是今年的年度主 題,與過去數年曾合作的伙伴建立「約好村莊」, 讓志同道合的人互相學習。第一階段的「約好村 莊」於南豐集團旗下三個場地建村,分別是荃灣南 豐紗廠的「約好荃灣村」、啟德AIRSIDE的「約好 啟德邨」及上環南豐中心的「約好上環村」,每條 「村莊」會有自己的節日、文化、約章及「村民」 (「世界之約」的合作單位),因應「村民」和社 區的特質塑造每條「約好村莊」的特色。
來到紗廠的「約好荃灣村」,今年春夏聚集一眾 「織人」,於藝術家與公眾共同創作的「紡織牆」 前,一同交流、分享各自的編織故事,透過他們的 一雙手,讓大眾認識更多有關紡織和編織的藝術和 文化,開拓產業的可能性。期間舉行了不同活動, 匯集11個藝術單位一起「約好織物祭」,活動包括 超過20場編織工作坊、大型編織市集、《衫言故事 檔:走佬衫故事》展覽,以及網羅香港、日本及台 灣織物品牌,特設「織刻限定店」。
2024 is a year of“repairs”. Dedicated to promoting sustainable lifestyles and cultural development, Nan Fung Group’s“In Time Of”programme aims to learn together with the public and connect the community to explore important issues such as environmental protection, community inclusion, and physical and mental health. Featuring“Repair”as the annual theme this year, Nan Fung Group has joined hands with its partners from the past few years to establish“Good Date Village”, building a close-knit community for like-minded people to learn from each other. The first phase of“Good Date Village”features villages set up at three of Nan Fung Group’s venues –“Good Date Tsuen Wan Village”at The Mills,“Good Date Kai Tak Village”at AIRSIDE and“Good Date Sheung Wan Village”at Nan Fung Place. Each“village”shapes its own festivals, culture, agreements and“villagers”(collaborating units of“In Time Of” programme) according to the characteristics of the“villagers”and their communities.
This spring and summer, a group of“artisanal weavers”have gathered at“Good Date Tsuen Wan Village”at The Mills. They swapped weaving stories with one another in front of The Weaving Wall – a collaborative work created by artists and the public. With their exceptional craftsmanship, they introduced the art and culture of textiles and weaving to the public, while inspiring new possibilities for the industry. During this time,“In Time Of Weaving Festival”brought together 11 art collectives for a vibrant array of activities, including over 20 weaving workshops, a large-scale weaving-themed market, the“Saam1 Yin4 Story Archive: The Tales of Diaspora Garments”exhibition, as well as“In Time Of Pop-up Shop”featuring textile brands from Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan.

“Weaving Through Wood”: A Participatory Textile Art Installation for the Public
There is nothing quite like holding spinning yarn to fully experience the joy of weaving.“In Time Of Weaving Festival”has thoughtfully incorporated elements of public interaction and invited Breakthrough Art Studio – an organisation dedicated to promoting traditional textile techniques and exploring the creative industry –to curate an interactive weaving experience. A large-scale, participatory textile art installation titled“Weaving Through Wood”was set up on the ground floor of The Mills. Weaving frames of various sizes were used as building blocks to construct an array of objects such as chairs, doors and screens. Strung with colourful threads and billowing blue-dyed fabric, these frames featured patterns that echoed The Weaving Wall on the rooftop. Moreover, the installation reinterpreted a traditional bamboo

此外,Breakthrough Art Studio亦開辦一場「編織南豐紗廠凳體驗工作坊」,跟大家一 同製作紡線,配以傢具編織方法,為紗廠的椅子換件新衫,共同編織出獨一無二的公共 家具,作品亦於「約好織物祭」期間展出,讓大家行得疲累時既可以坐一坐,又可以跟 自己的作品合照。

weaving technique with yarn to offer visitors a glimpse of the countless worlds seen through the eyes of weavers. Apart from appreciating the artwork, the public could fully immerse themselves in the allure of weaving. Visitors were also invited to spin their own colourful yarns and freely traverse the space to savour the joy of weaving multidimensionally.
Furthermore, Breakthrough Art Studio hosted the“Chair Weaving Workshop at The Mills”and collaborated with participants to produce spinning yarns and reupholster the chairs found throughout The Mills using furniture weaving techniques. These oneof-a-kind pieces of communal furniture were displayed during“In Time Of Weaving Festival”, allowing visitors to rest their weary feet or pose for photographs with their own creations.


「織刻限定店」:寄賣來自日本、台灣和本地的美好織物 今年4月至7月初期間,南豐紗廠為「約好織物祭」開設一所為期三個月的「織刻限定 店」,匯集來自台灣、日本和本地的織物單位,網羅不同種類、形式的紡織品,讓大家 於店內看到不同地方、文化的編織創作,認識他們的編織故事,並把美好的編織品帶回 家。
「織刻限定店」的合作單位包括來自台灣的紡織品牌八位元紡織,他們帶來由路邊 觀察取材之圖案所製成的紡織衣服和飾品;同樣來自台灣的簇絨手作店 Mumble , 他們以地毯為創作媒介,製作出不同層次和顏色的毛毯裝飾品;日本藝術家

“In Time Of Pop-up Shop”: Curated Textile Treasures from Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong
From April to early July this year, The Mills set up a three-month“In Time Of Pop-up Shop”for“In Time Of Weaving Festival”. The pop-up shop featured textile collectives from Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong, showcasing a diverse collection of woven goods in various types and forms. Visitors could discover the unique weaving creations from different regions and cultures, learn about their stories and bring home these beautifully crafted textile treasures.
“In Time Of Pop-up Shop”collaborated with a myriad of collectives. 8bit.t.d, a textile brand from Taiwan, brought woven garments and accessories featuring patterns inspired by their observations on the streets. Also from Taiwan, Mumble used carpets as their creative medium to produce layered and colourful decorations. Japanese artist Mikako Kondo brought accessories made from fabric with embroidered botanical elements. From Sapporo, Japan, the textile store COQ presented clothes inspired by natural landscapes. The local brand Nam Yang Kee HK showcased a curated selection of locally made vintage garments from the 1980s and 1990s.
織物市集:聚集一眾新舊「織人」交流 南豐集團「世界之約」一連兩日於「約好織物祭」中舉行大型市集,讓遊人親身跟現場 40檔「織人」檔主交流,他們展示了不同類型的織物產品,種類包括紡織、編織、竹 編、藤編、天然染、鈎織、刺繡及車衣等等。除了與編織文化相關的檔主,市集還請來 一眾本地「料理人」擺攤,分享自家手作食品和飲品,打造多元有趣,色香味俱全的地 道市集!
Weaving Market: Bringing Together New and Experienced “Artisanal Weavers”
Nan Fung Group’s“In Time Of”programme host a large-scale market over two consecutive days as part of“In Time Of Weaving Festival”. Visitors were able to interact with 40 booths of“artisanal weavers”and admire their textile products made with diverse techniques such as spinning, knitting, bamboo weaving, rattan weaving, natural dyeing, crocheting, embroidery and sewing. Alongside the textile booths, the market also invited many local“culinary talents”to share their homemade food and beverages, creating a multifaceted and enticing experience filled with rich aromas and flavours!

Weaving Workshops: Hands-on Experiences with Rattan, Card and Net Weaving
“In Time Of Weaving Festival”aims to introduce the public to a wider variety of weaving techniques, explore the possibilities of weaving and demonstrate how it can be incorporated into our everyday life. Nan Fung Group invited 11 textile collectives to co-organise and present over 20 workshops and weaving experiences. Some of them focused on themes of environmental protection and repair, encouraging us to reflect on how, in an age of disposability and consumerism, we can extend the lifespan of old items through weaving and lead a sustainable lifestyle.
Among the 11 textile collectives,“DIY Jason”taught participants how to create intaglio carving and woven pattern rubber stamps by combining weaving and carving. Silk screen printing artist Wen Ching Yiu guided participants through the silk screen printing process and showed them how to make DIY paper stencils for printing at home. Breakthrough Art Studio demonstrated traditional weaving techniques such as backstrap weaving, as well as card and net weaving during“Card Woven Bag Workshop”and“Net Woven Water Bottle Holder Workshop”. Little Dream Embroidery not only taught participants how to repair and embellish old items through embroidery at“Dream A Little Dream Embroidery”, but also provided an outdoor space for visitors to learn the art of needlework on their own. Peachy Forest showcased several weaving techniques and invited visitors to make bracelets together.
UUFFOO invited visitors to create Japanese-style furoshiki through“plant-based dyeing”. Lantau Shanto Studio demonstrated“vine wrapping”for protecting everyday items during“Intro to Vine Wrapping Workshop”. Rebornstory offered an experience in ancient spinning techniques and made retro spinning jewellery with participants. As Lwy select store crafted trendy woven phone straps with visitors, MOSORSISI provided on-site custom embroidery services that blended personal clothing with traditional weaving techniques. Ah Yung immersed participants in the joy of sewing at “DIY Drawstring Bag Workshop”. Meanwhile, CHAT hosted“Hong Kong Natural Plant Dyeing Workshop”to explore textile arts that feature elements of nature.

CHAT Summer Exhibition Kingsley Ng: Listen to the Sound of the Earth Spinning
今年是CHAT六廠開館五週年,夏季展覽將延續CHAT六廠的願景,交織文 化遺產、當代藝術及社群參與,為參觀者提供獨特體驗並帶來反思。重點項 目之二,是香港著名媒體藝術家伍韶勁的個人展覽「傾聽地球旋轉」,以及 由CHAT六廠2024年駐場藝術家——廣州藝術家團體「菠蘿核」所帶領的一 系列「種學織文」社群活動。
伍韶勁(Kingsley)是香港媒體藝術家及設計師,重視概念和場域特定形式的創 作項目,相信藝術能夠引發參與者和觀眾對所處環境的反思,他過往的作品包 括獲2017年巴塞爾藝術展委託的場域特定項目《二十五分鐘後》,以及2018年 於香港大坑東地下蓄洪池展出的《大禹之後》。今次CHAT六廠呈獻伍韶勁大型 個人展覽「傾聽地球旋轉」,亦是首次為本地藝術家舉辦個人展覽,並會展出 藝術家一些重新演繹的早期作品和全新委託作品。而紡織、聲音和光影元素貫 穿展覽,邀請參觀者以不同感官參與,感受觸覺、聲音創作和冥想沉思所交織 的獨特藝術體驗。
藝術家從紡織業的傳統文化和南豐紗廠的場地特質擷取靈感:南豐紗廠曾經是 一個繁忙的紡紗工廠,現在已經變成了一個寵物友好的文化地標。他在全新作 品《寰》中,找來近100位毛孩的主人,用從毛孩身上梳理出來的毛髮進行創 作,利用紡織的力量和動物友伴的參與突顯生命中種種相遇的可貴。從展廳一 中首先看到的《音樂紡織機》利用光敏器材和編碼技術,把270年歷史的織布機 轉化成一個以光影奏樂的樂器。這件作品是伍氏當年在Le Fresnoy法國國立當 代藝術工作室的畢業作品,以紀念法國北部曾在工業革命期間作為紡織重鎮的 豐富歷史和印記。作品首次展出時,當地人用他們熟練的巧手,在靜止的棉線 上織出音樂。展廳的另一端是以希臘神話中的命運女神命名的藝術裝置《摩伊 賴》,參觀者可以走進懸垂的近200條棉繩,讓投射在棉繩上的光影引導思緒並 沉浸當中,展開在錯綜複雜的生命線之間的沉思之旅。
伍韶勁也邀請參觀者細心感受世界中不同的聲音、不同的共振頻率。《33.8 Hz》、《織之歌》和《傾聽時間》等作品把參觀者帶到當中,重新演繹關於空 間和時間的故事。除了裝置藝術作品外,藝術家還通過細膩的敘述和相關文本 摘錄與參觀者對話,分享他每個創作過程的深徹思考,亦同時希望參觀者重新 思考周遭的世界。

This year marks the 5th anniversary of CHAT. The summer showcase continues CHAT’s vision of interweaving cultural heritage, contemporary art and community engagement, providing visitors with a unique and reflective experience. Two of the highlight projects include a solo exhibition titled Listen to the Sound of the Earth Spinning by the renowned Hong Kong media artist Kingsley Ng, and a series of Seed to Textile community programmes led by CHAT’s artist-in-residence for 2024 – the Guangzhou-based artist collective BOLOHO.
Kingsley Ng is a local media artist and designer specialising in conceptual projects for specific locations. He believes that art helps us reflect on our environment, whether as a viewer or participant. His past projects include Twenty-Five Minutes Older, a site-specific commission by Art Basel in 2017, and After the Deluge, presented in the Tai Hang Tung Underground Stormwater Tank in 2018. The mega-scale Listen to the Sound of the Earth Spinning marks the first time CHAT has featured a local artist for a solo exhibition. It features both Kingsley’s renditions of earlier projects and his new commissioned works. Centred on textile production, sound and light, visitors are invited to a unique artistic experience where their senses intertwine through tactile engagement, sound creation and meditative contemplation.
Kingsley taps into the heritage of textiles and the site-specific character of The Mills. Once a bustling factory, The Mills is now a pet-friendly cultural landmark. In his work Globes, Kingsley uses fur gently combed from the furry companions of about 100 pet owners. The piece harnesses the power of textiles and the presence of animals to highlight the precious encounters of life. In Gallery 1, visitors are greeted by Musical Loom, which transforms a 270-year-old loom into an interactive visual and musical instrument using light sensors and a coded interface. This piece was initially conceived as Kingsley’s graduation project at Le Fresnoy – National Studio of Contemporary Arts in France, honouring the rich history and memories of textile production in Northern France during the Industrial Revolution. When it was first exhibited, locals weaved music on the static threads with their seasoned hands. Further in, Kingsley engages visitors with the installation Moirai, named after the Greek goddesses of fate, to inspire a contemplative journey through the intricate threads of life. Visitors can navigate through nearly 200 draping ropes as they are immersed in the light projection on them.
Furthermore, Kingsley invites visitors to attune their senses to the resonances of the world on different scales. Works like 33.8 Hz Songs of the Weavers and Listening Time envelop visitors whilst reinterpreting stories about space and time. In addition to his art installations, Kingsley also involves visitors in personal conversations through delicately written narratives and a selection of excerpts from related texts, sharing his musings on each creative process as he encourages visitors to rethink the world surrounding them.

Seed to Textile 2024: BOLOHO Open Studio Daily Walk-in Art Workshops
今年,CHAT六廠的年度旗艦社區計劃「種學織文」將展示CHAT六廠駐場藝術家團隊「菠蘿核」和不同社群 的合作成果。菠蘿核深入探討海外華僑農場與香港豐富移民歷史所交織的故事,透過景觀裝置、集體種植和 創作以及影視作品,分享他們的研究成果與藝術實踐。
藝術家團隊為廣州和香港的四個地點分別設計了景觀裝置,包括南豐紗廠的耕地、香港知專設計學院、嘉道 理農場暨植物園,以及菠蘿核在廣州的工作室。他們邀請由本地學生組成的「種子隊」,共同在景觀裝置中 培育多種可製成織物染料或可食用的植物,這些植物亦用於其後的創作。菠蘿核將以影視作品總括整個集體 創作過程,並在 CHAT六廠的冬季展覽中分享成果。這個多面向的藝術項目讓觀眾從近距離了解海外華僑族 群在流動、相遇與共存中所遇到的身份認同、文化傳承、情感連結等議題。歡迎不同年齡人士到CHAT六廠的 「菠蘿核開放工作室」免費即場參與一系列集體創作活動。
This year, CHAT’s annual flagship community programme Seed to Textile showcases the collaborative efforts of BOLOHO – the CHAT artist-in-residence – and various communities. Delving into the intertwined narratives of overseas Chinese farms and Hong Kong’s rich migration history, BOLOHO shares its research results and artistic realisation through landscape sculptures, collective planting and creations, as well as the resulting multimedia work.
BOLOHO has designed site-specific landscape sculptures for four locations in Guangzhou and Hong Kong: The Deck at The Mills, Hong Kong Design Institute, Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden and BOLOHO’s studio in Guangzhou. Together with a group of“Seeders”formed by local students, they are cultivating a range of natural dye and edible plants at the installations, which are then harvested for the subsequent creations. A video featuring the collective creative processes of BOLOHO and the community will be showcased in CHAT’s winter programme. This multifaceted art programme offers visitors a closer look at the issues of identity, cultural inheritance and emotional connection faced by overseas Chinese in their movements, encounters and coexistence. People of all ages are invited to participate in the free walk-in cocreative activities in BOLOHO Open Studio at CHAT.

「共融導賞之旅」由聾人及健聽共融導賞員合作帶領,融合手語雙語設計,透過一系列 互動和多感官體驗,以嶄新角度介紹陳廷驊基金會展廳的常設展示。你可以探索香港紡 織業的起始與發展、工業棉紡的過程及前紡織工人鮮為人知的有趣故事。
導賞團善用手語豐富的視覺元素,致力為任何能力的觀衆提供一個無障礙的觀展體驗。 這個45分鐘的獨特博物館體驗歡迎任何能力與年齡人士參加。
Jointly led by accessibility docents who are deaf and hearing, the Accessibility Tour incorporates sign bilingualism design to introduce the permanent displays at the D. H. Chen Foundation Gallery from a new perspective. You can explore a brief history of Hong Kong’s textile industry, the process of industrial cotton spinning and the hidden stories of former textile workers through this interactive and multisensory experience.
The tour provides an accessible museum environment with the fruitful visual elements of Hong Kong Sign Language. This 45-minute unique museum experience welcomes people of all ages and abilities.

From spinning wheels to weaving looms, textile technology has long driven human activities. The thematic display Artefacts of Machinery highlights several machines and materials from the CHAT Collection, supplemented by audio-visual elements, to recount the special moments in the evolution of textile technology while providing historical context to Kingsley’s displayed works in the seasonal exhibition.

The Mills have designed an original board game for this year’s Kids Festival. The board game encourages adults and children to learn through play by stepping into the shoes of factory workers, discovering the little-known aspects of the work and lives of former factory workers, and understanding the glorious era of Hong Kong's textile industry. Upon completing the board game and visiting CHAT, participants will receive a "Factory Payroll" slip* as a memento of their summer internship experience!

插畫家慧惠筆下的原創角色「小杜惠與菠蘿貓」將化身為小導遊,帶領大家踏上一場充滿 歡樂與奇遇的夏日冒險。訪客可依照《小杜惠與菠蘿貓紗廠遊蹤》地圖,走訪充滿歷史 印記的南豐紗廠,並於指定景點為地圖蓋上蓋章。參加者集齊蓋章,並成為NF Touch會 員,即免費換領限量繡花布章一個*。
The Mills has collaborated with local illustrator, Wai Wai, to launch “Travel Around The Mills” with a twist—alongside Wai Wai’s lovable characters, Totowai and Pineapple Cat. The lively characters will accompany visitors through The Mills to discover iconic spots. Participants who have successfully collected all stamps and have become NF Touch members can redeem a limited edition of The Mills Embroidered Badge*.

見證五週年成長與進步 吳林峰寫給南豐紗廠的情書 每年一度的「WeWeave編織生活節」是紗廠年度的重頭戲,活動 在十二月舉行,集文化、表演、市集於一身,為每個香港人注入 文化的元素,編織出新世代的多元化生活。當中以一系列活動形 式呈現,包括手作工作坊、藝術展覽、表演活動及市集攤位。紗 廠希望透過活動提高參加者的環保意識及社區互動。此外,每年 「WeWeave編織生活節」還會邀請不同音樂單位來臨紗廠現場表 演,成為一大焦點。多年來,我們歡迎過許多表演嘉賓,其中不乏 吳林峰。他從第一屆到最新一屆都有著出色的演出。日前他更在紗

恭喜南豐紗廠五歲生日快樂!
講起呢個地方回想返呢五年,我都無特別留意原來我真係喺度有好 多好多回憶。
當然,表演一定會係其中一個,「#編織生活節」嘅表演原來都連 續四年參與了!而每一次喺南豐唱歌都好似幫自己喺繁忙生活中放 半日假咁。然後,可能大家唔知,每次有新歌或者demo 我都會喺 嗰度首唱,總之好似無任何壓力呢個感覺好正,不得不講,呢個地 方都睇住我四年嘅音樂旅程同成長,講返都起雞皮 haha!
但要講回憶,最深刻反而更係同狗狗花花&女友每一次嚟「行街」 嘅經歷,因為真係好似同呢個地方睇住花花慢慢長大,然後每次 行…… 女友都會買到嘢 haha… 講笑,其實最深刻就係呢度不知不 覺咁帶咗好多音樂生活以外可以同自己愛嘅人一齊分享嘅回憶!

南豐紡織於 1954 年由陳廷驊博士成立,是香港當時產量最高 的紗廠之一。南豐紡織原有六座廠房,其中一至三廠已於 90 年代重新發展。其餘三座於 1960 至 1970 年間落成,名為南 豐紡織四、五、六廠,現已活化成為嶄新的南豐紗廠( The Mills),佔地約260,000平方呎。三大支柱分別為南豐作坊、 南豐店堂、CHAT六廠。

Every December, The Mills showcases the annual cornerstone event, "WeWeave Cultural Festival.” By integrating culture, performances, and markets, The Mills aims to interweave a diverse lifestyle for the new generation, infusing cultural elements into the vibrant lives of all Hong Kongers. The "WeWeave Cultural Festival" features a lineup of activities designed to raise participants' environmental consciousness and foster community interaction. These activities include handmade workshops, art exhibitions, live performances, weekend market, and the highly anticipated live music performances by various artists. Among the many talented performers at the festival over the years, Wilson Ng has been a standout and a close friend of the festival since its inception. In early August, he hosted the "Wilson Ng ROUTE 58 Music Sharing" event at The Mills, where he connected with the audience and shared the musical inspiration behind his work. What surprises us most is, Wilson even wrote a letter to express his deep connection with The Mills.

Happy 5th Birthday, The Mills!
Reflecting on the past five years at The Mills brings back a flood of memories.
Undoubtedly, one of the standout memories for me is performing at the "WeWeave Cultural Festival" for four consecutive years! Each time I took the stage at The Mills, it felt like a mini retreat from the hustle and bustle of life. What many may not know is that every time I had a new song or demo, I would premiere the song here for everyone to listen to, feeling no pressure and just enjoying the moment. This place has been a witness to my musical journey over the past four years, and looking back, it gives me goosebumpshaha!
Speaking of memories, one of the most cherished ones for me is the times I spent shopping with my dog, Fa-Fa, and girlfriend here. It feels like The Mills has grown alongside Fa-Fa, and every shopping trip with my girlfriend always ends with her buying something...just kidding! But on a serious note, The Mills has brought me more than just a musical life; it has given me precious memories shared with loved ones!
So, a heartfelt thank you to The Mills!

Nan Fung Textiles was founded in 1954 by Dr. D. H. Chen and grew to become a cornerstone of the territory s dominant textile industry in the booming manufacturing era of the 1950s. Nan Fung Textiles initially comprised 6 factory buildings named Mills 1 through 6 respectively. While Mills 1, 2 and 3 were redeveloped in the 1990s, Mills 4, 5 and 6, completed between 196070, are the buildings that have been transformed to become The Mills today. Together, The Mills now covers roughly 260,000 sq. ft. and houses 3 pillars: Fabrica, Shopfloor and CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile).
