Begins on July 1

FROM SANJIV'S DESK
President and CEO, Sanjiv Razdan
Dear Franchisees and The Joint Community,
Earlier this month we held our Monthly Pulse virtual call, and I am always excited for the opportunity to share what we have been working on and the progress we are making in key areas of our business.
It is also an important priority that I continue hearing from all of you. My conversations with our franchisees, clinic teams and field leaders allow me to learn directly from those on the front lines and receive feedback, ideas and patient-focused solutions that will help drive our success. If you attended the Monthly Pulse on June 5, then you heard about two new virtual sessions that I am introducing to continue fostering a culture of open communication.

• STAR Sessions : The new STAR (Straight Talking for Alignment and Results) Sessions are monthly virtual events for franchisees to have a forum to share what’s going well and surface challenges. We held the inaugural STAR Session on May 30, and I really enjoyed the conversation and valuable insights that were shared. The June session was open to franchisees located in NFAB Zone 1 and coming up in July will be an invitation to franchisees in NFAB Zone 2.
• Leadership Lounge: The Leadership Lounge is a fireside chat-style platform in which top-performing franchisees will be invited to share their insights, best practices and strategies for how they are succeeding in an area of the business that is of the most interest to the greater franchise system. These virtual events will last approximately one hour with ample time for attendees to ask questions and engage with the presenters. I am pleased to announce that Dan and Dorit Kjaergaard will be our first Leadership Lounge guest speakers in July, and the topic of discussion will be driving clinic sales. We will announce key details and provide a link to register next month.
We are in the final week of our “Buy 5, Get 1” Wellness Sale and the system is at 77% of our sales goal. Thank you to our clinic teams for your continued focus and strong execution. Your efforts are driving meaningful results—let’s maintain this momentum and close out the promotion with strength and impact.
We are all preparing for the upcoming rollout of the new Wellness Plan Kickstart Pricing that will begin on July 1. As a system, we are working to welcome more patients, encourage them to make chiropractic care at The Joint part of their wellness routine and offer them the care they need at an accessible, affordable cost that will also result in increased clinic profitability. This new pricing option is designed to achieve all those factors. Additional details, including an overview of the training materials that are now available, can be found on page 6 .
During our ‘soft launch,’ clinic teams have also been inviting patients to download and utilize our new mobile app. The app has seen strong engagement and is receiving positive reviews, including a 4.8 rating in the App Store! Ultimately, however, it is providing our patients with even greater accessibility and convenience and creating a digital experience that supports their needs. I urge you all to continue embracing this new way for our patients to interact with their local clinic.
I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new Chief Financial Officer, Scott Bowman. Scott began in his new position on July 10, and is a well-rounded, experienced leader who is ready to help The Joint evolve and position us for our next chapter of growth.
The CSC Team also welcomed seven new franchisees to the office in Scottsdale for Clinic Management Training earlier this month. It was an energizing week of learning that culminated in our new colleagues signing the Partnership Pact that was unveiled at the Spring Summit.
Finally, we are excited to announce the official date and location for our 2026 National Conference. Please save the date for April 13-15, 2026, at the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale! This will be an inspiring and impactful event, and we look forward to sharing more details later this year.
Together we serve,

Sanjiv Razdan

Wellness Plan Add-Ons
Help Patients Kickstart their Chiropractic Journey
Pain keeps people from living their best lives and can interrupt the daily moments that bring us joy, such as enjoying hobbies and spending time with friends, family and pets.
Typically, our Wellness Plan is the best option for most patients. However, some patients require more frequent visits in the first few weeks of care to address, treat and relieve their pain.
The Joint is introducing Wellness Plan KickStart Pricing which increases the amount of RPVs available to a patient in their first month. Now, we can offer the patient a Wellness Plan that aligns with the doctor’s treatment plan and meets their health and wellness goals.
The Wellness Plan Kickstart Pricing also helps patients begin to build a habit of routine chiropractic care. Allowing them to purchase the visits they need in advance increases the likelihood that they will remain committed to their treatment plan.
What? The Wellness Plan Kickstart Pricing offers three new add-on options to the standard Wellness Plan.
When
Beginning Tuesday, July 1
New Offering Clinic teams can offer 4, 6, or 8 extra visits during the first month of the Wellness Plan only.
The Wellness Plan will remain at the current $69/$79/$89 zone pricing and still includes up to four visits per month with a two-month minimum commitment.
Wellness Plan Kickstart Pricing
Pricing Structure
• Add 4 visits = $50 additional to Wellness Plan price
• Add 6 visits = $80 additional to Wellness Plan price
• Add 8 visits = $110 additional to Wellness Plan price
Regular zone pricing resumes in month two.
What's Changing?
New Contracts: The plan agreements outlined below have been updated to reflect the Wellness Plan Kickstart Pricing. All documents are now available to download on Dokshop.
• Wellness Plan Agreement Form
• 5 + 1 Sale Addendum
• State Specific Addendum – Kentucky Version
• State Specific Addendum – Oregon Version
All digital contracts have been updated automatically, effective June 19.
Overage Rate: Starting July 1, AXIS will populate a $20 overage fee for all patients who sign up for a Wellness Plan. For patients already on a Wellness Plan, their overage amount will remain $10.
What Is Not Changing?
Wellness Plan: The core of the Wellness Plan remains unchanged. The Kickstart options affect only the first month of care.
• Up to four visits per billing cycle.
• 2-month minimum commitment.
• Kickstart visits function as RPVs and do not roll over to the next month

Wellness Plan Kickstart Role-Play Best Practices
With the launch of Kickstart, clinic teams will be learning new messaging when presenting the Wellness Plan. One of the best ways to build confidence in delivering new information to patients is through roleplay.
The Wellness Plan Kickstart Guide for Clinic Staff includes flash cards for teams to practice a variety of scenarios to sharpen communication skills, build comfort with new Kickstart language, and prepare to speak confidently with patients.
Here are some tips to get the most out of using these flash cards for role-play:
1 2 3
Treat role-play like the real thing. Role-play works best when you speak and act like you would with a real patient. Use the example responses on the flash cards as a guide, but make the delivery feel natural to you while keeping the core message consistent.
Pause to reflect.
After each role-play, take a moment to debrief with your partner. What went well? What could improve? Reflection builds awareness and confidence.
Repeat.
Don’t stop at one run-through. Repeating the same scenario gives you a chance to apply feedback, adjust your approach and solidify your communication skills.
For guidance on leading a role-play with your clinic team, download the Role-Play Facilitation Guide in The Learning Center Click Resources > Business, Marketing, Operations > Operations > Front Office
