Aphrodite

by: Catherine S. Boarao How many times should I deny? To say that emotion is just a lie, The time stopped when I saw her walking at the aisle, Wearing again that beautiful smile Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty Has come in the form of felicity, Seeing that happiness just from behind Why can't I erase her from my mind? I can't breathe when I saw her again this time, Rushing to grab my pen to indite I needed to write everything down, Or else I will be flooded with emotions, letting me drown “Do not smile and just forget her,” I said But it is the denial that can't be laid, She is Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty Not seeing her will just make this heart of mine empty
