Close the doors of your thoughts dear tabby Evil could find your mind’s eye Listen to the distant silence The night won’t like knowing you are wary. The peculiarity of the silence after Is what makes the cat curious Your wandering thoughts little one Are to be leashed to safety The denouement is where the evil works Never did I hear all the wolves cry in silent woes Like the ones heard from the night raven’s calls But tonight, in the most eccentric way, they did Oh, what melancholy have you seen with the owls. The forest is silent of what it has witnessed Yet the huge beaming face is watching closely Hurry little puss and put yourself to slumber The dark won’t make friends with you tonight.
