Fishing

Fishing is permitted on Sunrise Lake for NYS-licensed guests who bring their own gear. All fishing at The Eldred Preserve is strictly catch + release.

The outdoor fitness stations are located halfway around Sunrise Lake. Enjoy exercising with outdoor, nature-inspired workout equipment while enjoying a breathtaking view of the lake.

The Eldred Preserve features bountiful hiking opportunities, whether you choose our 2-mile trail around Sunrise Lake, explore our adjoining 600-acres of surrounding forest, or venture to the multiple hiking areas within just a few miles of our resort.
