sunrise lake
Sunrise Lake is a 65-acre private lake with docks equipped with kayaks, paddle boats, and rowboats for our guests' leisure enjoyment. The property also features a 2-mile groomed walking trail that surrounds the lake. There are several pieces of outdoor fitness equipment for a healthy addition to an exhilarating walk. All of this is directly connected to the walking paths that meander through The Eldred Preserve property.
Lake Rules + Regulations
Any damage to the equipment, etc. will be the responsibility of the guest.
The lake area is closed to guests after dusk. There are no lifeguards on duty.
The lake water is dark, making it difficult to see underwater. Swimming in the lake is dangerous at night for both swimmers and non-swimmers. Swimming and other uses of the lake are at your own risk, at all times.
All children under 16 years of age must be supervised by an adult (a person who is at least 16 years of age who is capable of providing emergency assistance) at all times.
Campfires around the lake are not permitted. Hunting of any kind is not permitted.
The quality of the lake water is subject to change due to weather conditions. Lightning strikes, blizzards, heavy rain, hail, high winds, and wildfires are possible.
Walking, skating, and sledding on the ice are not allowed. Water may, from time to time, contain harmful bacteria or parasites. Dangerous animals, including bears, are known to inhabit the lake property Other wildlife species are also active in and around this wilderness area. Please use caution and be aware of your surroundings at all times.
