Impressive +20 win in Championships

The bowls Fours Championships team of Stewart Simpson, Steve Manns, Greg Clark and Jason Howell celebrated a victory on Sunday at the Golfie.
They had a +8 win over John ‘Shark’ Daly, Tony Polack, Damon Pike and Karen Daly.
In a Pairs championship game, John Goonrey and Ian Prendergast were outclassed by veteran bowls champions Barry Bargwanna and Craig ‘Duck’ Grimmond with Team Duck winning by an impressive +20 margin.
A massive field of 18 social bowlers filled the greens on Sunday making the total turn out of 30 bowlers a record for a Sunday morning.
The social bowls winners were Rodney (surname not supplied), Peter ‘China’ Brien and Allan Gardoll.
They hogged the mat for 90 per cent of play running away to win by a +14 margin over Don Roberts, Doug Hudson and Peta Zazoniuk.

McLeod was a slam dunk win for Team Carter. Their +5 victory earned them the runners-up title for the day.
Rink 6’s team of Marlene Wynd, David Thomas and Robert Childs played Bian Smith, Sandra Zazoniuk and Travis Fraser in what was a very tightly contested triples match.
Team Smith narrowly pipped their opponents by +1 on the last end.
Much to her chagrin, Karen Daly’s awesome wrong bias sealed her the win of the George The Giraffe award!
Cobar Bowling & Golf Club will be represented at the NSW Finals of No. 6 Pennant this weekend at the Warilla Bowling and Recreation Club.
The Golfie team are scheduled to play Belrose and Wenty Leagues on Friday as well as Dalmeny on Saturday.
All going well, they will progress to the quarter finals on Saturday afternoon, semi finals Sunday morning and the final on Sunday afternoon. The Second
