New chef at Services Club serving traditional Chinese
from TCW 280623
The Cobar Services Club has a new chef in the kitchen with Ben Lwu opening his ‘Little Chef’ restaurant at the club last week.
Ben did his two years of training at a chef school in China nearly 17 years ago before going into the family business.
Since moving to Australia, he’s been running a restaurant in Penrith but recently decided to make a move to the country.
“I wanted to do something different and here the people are friendly,” Ben told The Cobar Weekly.

With the help of his mum and dad, Wendy and Andy, the restaurant will be serving traditional Chinese meals six days a week.
They’ll also be offering diners some Australian-style meals.
When asked what was his most popular dish on the menu, Ben replied they were “all popular” with Honey Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork being his personal favourites.
The ‘Little Chef’ restaurant opened on Thursday and Ben and his team have been kept busy sending out lots of meals, which have been receiving favourable reviews from Cobar’s “food critics”.
