Happy June Jadestone family,

We sure had a fun month of May. Our Cinco de Mayo gathering is always a hit and has proven to be a favorite at Jadestone. Mother’s Day tea was a lot of fun with mom’s enjoying being served sandwiches and treats for their special day. The Memorial Day barbecue was successful with residents enjoying each other’s favorite dishes.

Our dad’s will be celebrated in June for Father’s Day at our “Subs and Suds” party where sandwiches and beer is on the menu. It will be a time for fellowship and friendship.

Bobbie and Barry Bevars from Coppersun are bringing their ever-popular horseracing activity to Jadestone. I promise you will laugh a lot, and you could even win money and prizes! You don’t want to miss it.

There is also information on pool rules, as our pool will be full this summer. As for the barbecues, the most important thing to remember is to turn the propane off after each use. I want everyone to be safe this summer, so please always follow proper procedures and make sure to read the posted rules.

Let’s make June a month to remember. See you at the clubhouse!

Insurance on your mobile home is not an option.

Everyone needs a copy of their insurance declaration on file, per your lease. It is your responsibility to make sure it is up to date so when it is renewed, please bring in a copy I can put in your file.

WEEDS, WEEDS AND MORE WEEDS!!!

It’s the time of year when weeds are popping up everywhere. Make sure you spend a few minutes a day checking your yard for weeds, debris and trash. On your fourth notice, you will be charged a minimum of $100 for us to clean it for you. Gilbert does side jobs and is available if you need help, just let me know and I can put you in touch with him, or catch him out and about in the park.

This month’s YOTM goes to Katherine F. in lot 98. Her sons Eddie and Tommy do a good job in taking care of not only the yard, but Katherine as well. Great job to both of you, enjoy the $50 gift card.

TRASH TALK

Don’t forget, starting sometime in August, we will be moving to individual trash pick-up. You all should have received a letter in the mail. The charge is $23.55 and will be added to your statement. They have a “Pull-Out” program if you need extra help. Someone will bring your trash can to the curb for you on trash day. Let Alyson know if you would like her to sign you up for this service.

POOL ETIQUETTE...

It’s great to see the pool being used as much as it is. I love seeing residents taking advantage of our amenities. With that said, there are a few things to remember. No glass in or around the pool, no horseplay, guests must be accompanied by a resident, if you move something, put it back and clean up after yourselves. These are just a few things, please familiarize yourself with the pool rules posted on the fence.

Every Friday at 9:00 a.m. in the office

Open to Jadestone residents. Stop in for a sweet treat and stay for information on coming events, activities, and updates from management.

CAT CORNER

The TNR program is coming to the park, they will not know whose cat they are trapping so if you don’t want your cat to be trapped it must stay indoors at night.

I have noticed an increase in feral cats lately, as well as kittens. As these cats belong to Jadestone, it is not okay to feed them. Sunshine makes sure they are taken care of. If you see a cat without its ear clipped, let me or Sunshine know.

We still need help trapping the cats and taking them to get neutered. There is monetary compensation for doing this. Please see Alyson or Sunshine if you can help, it is much appreciated.

WE’RE ALMOST ONE WAY!

With the gates close to being activated, our park will soon be ONE WAY! Let’s start practicing… enter on the right and exit on the left and make sure you park your car in the right direction. I would appreciate everyone’s cooperation with this as I want everyone to be safe. Let’s also remember the speed limits 10MPH.

Resident of the Month is a great way for residents to get to know each other. If you would like to be Resident of the Month, let Alyson or Phyllis know.

As ROTM, you will be featured in the monthly newsletter with a picture so everyone can know who you are. All you need to do is write a blurb about yourself and turn it in. Alyson will take a picture and that’s it, you’ll see your smiling face in next month’s newsletter!

Subs ‘n Suds

Calling all Jadestone dads, it’s time to celebrate Father’s Day!

Join in our Subs ‘n Suds event, it’s just for you!

Enjoy sub sandwiches while sipping on an ice cold beer. Party starts at 12pm on Friday, June 6th. See you there!

RSVP by Monday, June 2nd. (It’s a bit early due to the fact there is a conference the week of Father’s Day.)

UPCOMING JUNE

Dominoes: join the gang for a fun game of Dominoes, there’s lots of laughs with this awesome group, every Thursday at 5:30pm.

Men’s Group: it’s the men’s turn to get together and tell stories and tell stories they do! Join them every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am.

Coffee and Donuts: join in the conversation while enjoying a hot cup of coffee with your favorite donut every Friday at 9am.

Game night: come down every Saturday at 5:30 for a great time with even greater people and play your favorite game.

Jewels Meeting: There is always lots to discuss and plan every month. The ladies meet on the first Monday of the month at 10am, this month the meeting is on the 2nd. We would love to see new faces!

Let’s Play Cards: join in every Monday from 10am-3pm for an afternoon of Shanghai Rummy. They encourage anyone interested to join in.

Bingo: every second and fourth Wednesday you can join Jeanie for a fun game of Bingo. This month Bingo takes place on the 11th and 25th at 10:30 AM. We’ve added more prizes so come join in!

Ladies Luncheon: This month the ladies are meeting at Olive Garden on 95th Ave in Glendale. The luncheon will once again be held on the third Wednesday of the month, so join in the girl talk on the 18th at 12pm!

Chat with Lori: Lori will be here on the 9th from 10am11am to talk about Medicare, and she’s bringing donuts for our residents.

Subs and Suds For Dad’s: we will be celebrating Jadestone dads for Father’s Day with subs and beer on the 6th at 12pm, week of Father’s Day. Come on down for a fun afternoon full of stories and great conversation! We’re celebrating a bit early because I will be away the week of at a conference.

Horse Racing: Join the Bevars from Coppersun for a rousing game of horse racing, we are going to have some fun! Come down on the 23rd at 4pm and bring a roll of quarters to play. There will be a coffee bar and snacks!
